A cohomological construction of modules over Fedosov deformation quantization algebra

In certain neighborhood $U$ of an arbitrary point of a symplectic manifold $M$ we construct a Fedosov-type star-product $\ast_L$ such that for an arbitrary leaf $\wp$ of a given polarization $\mathcal{D}\subset TM$ the algebra $C^\infty (\wp \cap U)[[h]]$ has a natural structure of left module over the deformed algebra $(C^\infty (U)[[h]], \ast_L)$. With certain additional assumptions on $M$, $\ast_L$ becomes a so-called star-product with separation of variables.

Fedosov Deformation Quantization as a BRST Theory

The relationship is established between the Fedosov deformation quantization of a general symplectic manifold and the BFV-BRST quantization of constrained dynamical systems. The original symplectic manifold $\mathcal M$ is presented as a second class constrained surface in the fibre bundle ${{\mathcal T}^*_ρ}{\mathcal M}$ which is a certain modification of a usual cotangent bundle equipped with a natural symplectic structure. Wick type deformation quantization of Fedosov manifolds

A coordinate-free definition for Wick-type symbols is given for symplectic manifolds by means of the Fedosov procedure. The main ingredient of this approach is a bilinear symmetric form defined on the complexified tangent bundle of the symplectic manifold and subject to some set of algebraic and differential conditions. It is precisely the structure which describes a deviation of the Wick-type star-product from the Weyl one in the first order in the deformation parameter. The differential geometry of Fedosov's quantization

B. Fedosov has given a simple and very natural construction of a deformation quantization for any symplectic manifold, using a flat connection on the bundle of formal Weyl algebras associated to the tangent bundle of a symplectic manifold. The connection is obtained by affinizing, nonlinearizing, and iteratively flattening a given torsion free symplectic connection. In this paper, a classical analog of Fedosov's operations on connections is analyzed and shown to produce the usual exponential mapping of a linear connection on an ordinary manifold. Morita equivalence of Fedosov star products and deformed Hermitian vector bundles

Based on the usual Fedosov construction of star products for a symplectic manifold M we give a simple geometric construction of a bimodule deformation for the sections of a vector bundle over M starting with a symplectic connection on M and a connection for E. In the case of a line bundle this gives a Morita equivalence bimodule where the relation between the characteristic classes of the Morita equivalent star products can be found very easily in this framework. Fedosov *-products and quantum momentum maps

We study various aspects of Fedosov star-products on symplectic manifolds. By introducing the notion of "quantum exponential maps", we give a criterion characterizing Fedosov connections. As a consequence, a geometric realization is obtained for the equivalence between an arbitrary *-product and a Fedosov one. Every Fedosov *-product is shown to be a Vey *-product. Consequently, one obtains that every *-product is equivalent to a Vey * -product, a classical result of Lichnerowicz. Three Natural Generalizations of Fedosov Quantization

Fedosov's simple geometrical construction for deformation quantization of symplectic manifolds is generalized in three ways without introducing new variables: (1) The base manifold is allowed to be a supermanifold. (2) The star product does not have to be of Weyl/symmetric or Wick/normal type. (3) The initial geometric structures are allowed to depend on Planck's constant.

Polarized deformation quantization

Let $A$ be a star product on a symplectic manifold $(M,ω_0)$, $\frac{1}{t}[ω]$ its Fedosov class, where $ω$ is a deformation of $ω_0$. We prove that for a complex polarization of $ω$ there exists a commutative subalgebra, $O$, in $A$ that is isomorphic to the algebra of functions constant along the polarization. Let $F(A)$ consists of elements of $A$ whose commutator with $O$ belongs to $O$. Then, $F(A)$ is a Lie algebra which is an $O$-extension of the Lie algebra of derivations of $O$. Deformation Quantization for Supermanifolds via Gelfand-Kazhdan Descent

We construct a canonical deformation quantization for symplectic supermanifolds. This gives a novel proof of the super-analogue of Fedosov quantization. Our proof uses the formalism of Gelfand-Kazhdan descent, whose foundations we establish in the super-symplectic setting.

Classification of polarized deformation quantizations

We give a classification of polarized deformation quantizations on a symplectic manifold with a (complex) polarization. Also, we establish a formula which relates the characteristic class of a polarized deformation quantization to its Fedosov class and the Chern class of the polarization.

Classification of Group Actions Extended to Symplectic Deformation Quantizations

Consider a group $Γ$ acting on a formal (Fedosov) deformation quantization $\mathbb{A}_\hbar(M)$ of a symplectic manifold $(M,ω)$. This canonically induces an action of $Γ$ by symplectomorphisms on $M$. We examine the reverse problem of extending group actions by symplectomorphisms to the deformation quantization. Deformation Quantization of Symplectic Fibrations

A symplectic fibration is a fibre bundle in the symplectic category. We find the relation between deformation quantization of the base and the fibre, and the total space. We use the weak coupling form of Guillemin, Lerman, Sternberg and find the characteristic class of deformation of symplectic fibration. We also prove that the classical moment map could be quantized if there exists an equivariant connection. Deformations of symplectic Lie algebroids, deformations of holomorphic symplectic structures, and index theorems

Recently Kontsevich solved the classification problem for deformation quantizations of all Poisson structures on a manifold. In this paper we study those Poisson structures for which the explicit methods of Fedosov can be applied, namely the Poisson structures coming from symplectic Lie algebroids, as well as holomorphic symplectic structures. For deformations of these structures we prove the classification theorems and a general a general index theorem.

Almost Kaehler deformation quantization

We use a natural affine connection with nontrivial torsion on an arbitrary almost-Kaehler manifold which respects the almost-Kaehler structure to construct a Fedosov-type deformation quantization on this manifold.

Bargmann-Fock sheaves on Kähler manifolds

Fedosov used flat sections of the Weyl bundle on a symplectic manifold to construct a star product $\star$ which gives rise to a deformation quantization. Deformation quantization of contact manifolds

We extend Fedosov deformation quantization to general contact manifolds. Unlike the case of symplectic manifolds, not every classical observable on a contact manifold is generally quantized. On examination of possible obstructions to quantization, we obtain some new invariants of contact manifolds.

Deformation Theory of Courant Algebroids via the Rothstein Algebra

In this paper we define Courant algebroids in a purely algebraic way and study their deformation theory by using two different but equivalent graded Poisson algebras of degree -2. First steps towards a quantization of Courant algebroids are proposed by employing a Fedosov like deformation quantization.

On the Deformation Quantization of super-Poisson Brackets

We show that for every vector bundle E over any given symplectic manifold M there exists an explicitly given super-Poisson bracket on the space of sections of the dual Grassmann bundle associated to E built out of symplectic structure of M, a fibre metric on E, and a connection in E compatible with the given fibre metric. Natural star products on symplectic manifolds and quantum moment maps

We define a natural class of star products: those which are given by a series of bidifferential operators which at order $k$ in the deformation parameter have at most $k$ derivatives in each argument. We show that any such star product on a symplectic manifold defines a unique symplectic connection. We parametrise such star products, study their invariance and give necessary and sufficient conditions for them to yield a quantum moment map. We show that Kravchenko's sufficient condition for a moment map for a Fedosov star product is also necessary.

Formality for Lie algebroids

Using Dolgushev's generalization of Fedosov's method for deformation quantization, we give a positive answer to a question of P.Xu: can one prove a formality theorem for Lie algebroids ? As a direct application of this result, we obtain that any triangular Lie bialgebroid is quantizable.

Batalin-Vilkovisky quantization and the algebraic index

Into a geometric setting, we import the physical interpretation of index theorems via semi-classical analysis in topological quantum field theory. We develop a direct relationship between Fedosov's deformation quantization of a symplectic manifold X and the BV quantization of a one-dimensional sigma model with target X. Morita equivalence bimodules for Wick type star products

In this paper, the notion of star products with separation of variables on a Kahler manifold is extended to bimodule deformations of (anti-) holomorphic vector bundles over a Kahler manifold. Here the Fedosov construction is appropriately adapted using the geometric data of a connection in the vector bundle. Moreover, the relation between the star products of Wick and anti Wick type is clarified by constructing a canonical Morita equivalence bimodule as bimodule deformation of the canonical line bundle over the Kahler manifold.

Using $\star$-product on Co-adjoint orbits (K-orbits) of the $\MD_4$- groups we obtain quantum half-planes, quantum hyperbolic cylinders, quantum hyperbolic paraboloids...via Fedosov deformation quantization. From this we have corresponding unitary representations of the $\MD_4$- groups. Particularly, for groups $\G_{4,2,3(ϕ)}; \G_{4,2,4}; \G_{4,3,4(ϕ)}$ and $ \G_{4,4,1} $, which are neither nilpotent nor exponential, we obtain the explicit formulas.

Deformation Quantization of Poisson Structures Associated to Lie Algebroids

We consider a class of \textit{factorizable} Poisson brackets which includes almost all reasonable Poisson structures. A particular case of the factorizable brackets are those associated with symplectic Lie algebroids.
