We introduce and study a family of operators which act in the span of a Weyl group $W$ and provide a multi-parameter solution to the quantum Yang-Baxter equations of the corresponding type. Our operators generalize the "quantum Bruhat operators" that appear in the explicit description of the multiplicative structure of the (small) quantum cohomology ring of $G/B$.
The main combinatorial applications concern the "tilted Bruhat order," a graded poset whose unique minimal element is an arbitrarily chosen element $w\in W$. (The ordinary Bruhat order corresponds to the case $w=1$.) Using the mixed Bruhat operators, we prove that these posets are lexicographically shellable, and every interval in a tilted Bruhat order is Eulerian. This generalizes well known results of Verma, Bjorner, Wachs, and Dyer.
We introduce nil-Hecke algebras for Weyl groupoids. We describe a basis and some properties of these algebras which lead to a notion of Bruhat order for Weyl groupoids.
We prove that semi-infinite Bruhat order on an affine Weyl group is completely determined from those on the quotients by affine Weyl subgroups associated with various maximal (standard) parabolic subgroups of finite type. Furthermore, for an affine Weyl group of classical type, we give a complete classification of all cover relations of semi-infinite Bruhat order (or equivalently, all edges of the quantum Bruhat graphs) on the quotients in terms of tableaux. Combining these we obtain a tableau criterion for semi-infinite Bruhat order on an affine Weyl group of classical type. As an application…
We lift the parabolic quantum Bruhat graph into the Bruhat order on the affine Weyl group and into Littelmann's poset on level-zero weights. We establish a quantum analogue of Deodhar's Bruhat-minimum lift from a parabolic quotient of the Weyl group. This result asserts a remarkable compatibility of the quantum Bruhat graph on the Weyl group, with the cosets for every parabolic subgroup. Also, we generalize Postnikov's lemma from the quantum Bruhat graph to the parabolic one; this lemma compares paths between two vertices in the former graph. The results in this paper will be applied in a seco…
We construct a family of integrable Hamiltonian systems generalizing the relativistic periodic Toda lattice, which is recovered as a special case. The phase spaces of these systems are double Bruhat cells corresponding to pairs of Coxeter elements in the affine Weyl group. In the process we extend various results on double Bruhat cells in simple algebraic groups to the setting of Kac-Moody groups. We also generalize some fundamental results in Poisson-Lie theory to the setting of ind-algebraic groups, which is of interest beyond our immediate applications to integrable systems.
The prime spectra of two families of algebras, $S^w$ and $\check{S}^w$, $w\in W,$ indexed by the Weyl group $W$ of a semisimple finitely dimensional are studied. The algebras $S^w$ have been introduced by A.~Joseph; they are $q$-analogues of the algebras of regular functions on $w$-translates of the open Bruhat cell of a semisimple Lie group $G$ corresponding to the Lie algebra $\fg$. We define a stratification of the spectra into components indexed by pairs $(y_1,y_2)$ of elements of the Weyl group satisfying $y_1\leq w\leq y_2$. Each component admits a unique minimal ideal which is explicitl…
We present a uniform construction of tensor products of one-column Kirillov-Reshetikhin (KR) crystals in all untwisted affine types, which uses a generalization of the Lakshmibai-Seshadri paths (in the theory of the Littelmann path model). This generalization is based on the graph on parabolic cosets of a Weyl group known as the parabolic quantum Bruhat graph. A related model is the so-called quantum alcove model. The proof is based on two lifts of the parabolic quantum Bruhat graph: to the Bruhat order on the affine Weyl group and to Littelmann's poset on level-zero weights. Our construction …
It is shown that higher Bruhat orders admit a decomposition into a higher Tamari order, the corresponding dual Tamari order, and a "mixed order." We describe simplex equations (including the Yang-Baxter equation) as realizations of higher Bruhat orders. Correspondingly, a family of "polygon equations" realizes higher Tamari orders. They generalize the well-known pentagon equation. The structure of simplex and polygon equations is visualized in terms of deformations of maximal chains in posets forming 1-skeletons of polyhedra. The decomposition of higher Bruhat orders induces a reduction of the…
We introduce semi-infinite Lakshmibai-Seshadri paths by using the semi-infinite Bruhat order (or equivalently, Lusztig's generic Bruhat order) on affine Weyl groups in place of the usual Bruhat order. These paths enable us to give an explicit realization of the crystal basis of an extremal weight module of an arbitrary level-zero dominant integral extremal weight over a quantum affine algebra. This result can be thought of as a full generalization of our previous result (which uses Littelmann's Lakshmibai-Seshadri paths), in which the level-zero dominant integral weight is assumed to be a posi…
We study the $p$-adic loop group Iwahori-Hecke algebra $\mathcal{H}(G^+,I)$ constructed by Braverman, Kazhdan, and Patnaik and give positive answers to two of their conjectures. First, we algebraically develop the "double coset basis" of $\mathcal{H}(G^+,I)$ given by indicator functions of double cosets. We prove a generalization of the Iwahori-Matsumoto formula, and as a consequence, we prove that the structure coefficients of the double coset basis are polynomials in the order of the residue field. The basis is naturally indexed by a semi-group $\mathcal{W}_\mathcal{T}$ on which Braverman, K…
We construct Baxter operators as generalized transfer matrices being traces of products of generic $R$ matrices. The latter are shown to factorize into simpler operators allowing for explicit expressions in terms of functions of a Weyl pair of basic operators. These explicit expressions are the basis for explicit expression for Baxter Q-operators and for investigating their properties.

We give a new type of Schur-Weyl duality for the representations of a family of quantum subgroups and their centralizer algebra. We define and classify singly-generated, Yang-Baxter relation planar algebras. We present the skein theoretic construction of a new parameterized planar algebra. We construct infinitely many new subfactors and unitary fusion categories, and compute their trace formula as a closed-form expression, in terms of Young diagrams.

We explicitly determine all Rota-Baxter operators (of weight zero) on $sl(2,C)$ under the Cartan-Weyl basis. For the skew-symmetric operators, we give the corresponding skew-symmetric solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation in $sl(2,C)$, confirming the related study by Semenov-Tian-Shansky. In general, these Rota-Baxter operators give a family of solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation in the 6-dimensional Lie algebra $sl(2,C) \ltimes_{{\rm ad}^{\ast}} sl(2,C)^{\ast}$. They also give rise to 3-dimensional pre-Lie algebras which in turn yield solutions of the classical Yang-Baxt…
A key theorem of Yakimov's proves that the torus-invariant prime spectra of De Concini-Kac-Procesi algebras are isomorphic as partially ordered sets to corresponding Bruhat order intervals of Weyl groups. We present examples of more general Cauchon-Goodearl-Letzter (CGL) extensions which exhibit this same phenomenon. To accomplish this, we develop a procedure for iteratively constructing poset isomorphisms between torus-invariant prime spectra of CGL extensions and Bruhat order intervals of Coxeter groups.

We connect generalizations of Poisson algebras with the classical and associative Yang-Baxter equations. In particular, we prove that solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation on a vector space V are equivalent to ``twisted'' Poisson algebra structures on the tensor algebra TV. Here, ``twisted'' refers to working in the category of graded vector spaces equipped with S_n-actions in degree n. We show that the associative Yang-Baxter equation is similarly related to the double Poisson algebras of Van den Bergh. We generalize to L-infinity-algebras and define ``infinity'' versions of Yang-Ba…
We develop the Baxterization approach to (an extension of) the quantum group GL_q(2). We introduce two matrices which play the role of spectral parameter dependent L-matrices and observe that they are naturally related to two different comultiplications. Using these comultiplication structures, we find the related fundamental R-operators in terms of powers of coproducts and also give their equivalent forms in terms of quantum dilogarithms. The corresponding quantum local Hamiltonians are given in terms of logarithms of positive operators. An analogous construction is developed for the q-oscill…
There are two intriguing statements regarding the quantum cohomology of partial flag varieties. The first one relates quantum cohomology to the affinisation of Lie algebras and the homology of the affine Grassmannian, the second one connects it with the geometry of quiver varieties. The connection with the affine Grassmannian was first discussed in unpublished work of Peterson and subsequently proved by Lam and Shimozono. The second development is based on recent works of Nekrasov, Shatashvili and of Maulik, Okounkov relating the quantum cohomology of Nakajima varieties with integrable systems…
On any Reflection Equation algebra corresponding to a skew-invertible Hecke symmetry (i.e. a special type solution of the Quantum Yang-Baxter Equation) we define analogs of the partial derivatives. Together with elements of the initial Reflection Equation algebra they generate a "braided analog" of the Weyl algebra. When $q\to 1$, the braided Weyl algebra corresponding to the Quantum Group $U_q(sl(2))$ goes to the Weyl algebra defined on the algebra $\Sym((u(2))$ or that $U(u(2))$ depending on the way of passing to the limit. Thus, we define partial derivatives on the algebra $U(u(2))$, find t…
For a classical group $G$ and a Coxeter element $c$ of the Weyl group, it is known that the coordinate ring $\mathbb{C}[G^{e,c^2}]$ of the double Bruhat cell $G^{e,c^2}:=B\cap B_-c^2B_-$ has a structure of cluster algebra of finite type, where $B$ and $B_-$ are opposite Borel subgroups. In this article, we consider the case $G$ is of type ${\rm B}_r$, ${\rm C}_r$ or ${\rm D}_r$ and describe all the cluster variables in $\mathbb{C}[G^{e,c^2}]$ as monomial realizations of certain Demazure crystals.
We construct an algebra embedding of the quantum group $U_q(\mathfrak{g})$ into the quantum coordinate ring $\mathcal{O}_q[G^{w_0,w_0}/H]$ of the reduced big double Bruhat cell in $G$. This embedding factors through the Heisenberg double $\mathcal{H}_q$ of the quantum Borel subalgebra $U_{\geq0}$, which we relate to $\mathcal{O}_q[G]$ via twisting by the longest element of the quantum Weyl group. Our construction is inspired by the Poisson geometry of the Grothendieck-Springer resolution studied by Evens and Lu, and the quantum Beilinson-Bernstein theorem investigated by Backelin, Kremnitzer, …
The Schur-Weyl duality, which started as the study of the commuting actions of the symmetric group $S_d$ and $\mathrm{GL}(n,\mathbb{C})$ on $V^{\otimes d}$ where $V=\mathbb{C}^n$, was extended by Drinfeld and Jimbo to the context of the finite Iwahori-Hecke algebra $H_d(q^2)$ and quantum algebras $U_q(\mathrm{gl}(n))$, on using universal $R$-matrices, which solve the Yang-Baxter equation. There were two extensions of this duality in the Hecke-quantum case: to the affine case, by Chari and Pressley, and to the super case, by Moon and by Mitsuhashi. We complete this chain of works by completing …
Let $G$ be a simply connected simple algebraic group over $\mathbb{C}$, $B$ and $B_-$ be its two opposite Borel subgroups. For two elements $u$, $v$ of the Weyl group $W$, it is known that the coordinate ring ${\mathbb C}[G^{u,v}]$ of the double Bruhat cell $G^{u,v}=BuB\cap B_-vB_-$ is isomorphic to a cluster algebra $\mathcal{A}(\textbf{i})_{\mathbb C}$ [arXiv:math/0305434, arXiv:1602.00498]. In the case $u=e$, $v=c^2$ ($c$ is a Coxeter element), the algebra ${\mathbb C}[G^{e,c^2}]$ has only finitely many cluster variables. In this article, for $G={\rm SL}_{r+1}(\mathbb{C})$, we obtain explic…
We notice a remarkable connection between Bazhanov-Sergeev solution of Zamolodchikov tetrahedron equation and certain well-known cluster algebra expression. The tetrahedron transformation is then identified with a sequence of four mutations. As an application of the new formalism we show how to construct integrable system with spectral curve with arbitrary symmetric Newton polygon. Finally, we embed this integrable system into double Bruhat cell of a Poisson-Lie group, show how triangular decomposition can be used to extend our approach to general non-symmetric Newton polygons, and prove Lemma…
We define a natural concept of duality for the h-Hopf algebroids introduced by Etingof and Varchenko. We prove that the special case of the trigonometric SL(2) dynamical quantum group is self-dual, and may therefore be viewed as a deformation both of the function algebra F(SL(2)) and of the enveloping algebra U(sl(2)). Matrix elements of the self-duality in the Peter-Weyl basis are 6j-symbols; this leads to a new algebraic interpretation of the hexagon identity or quantum dynamical Yang-Baxter equation for quantum and classical 6j-symbols.
All algebras in a very large, axiomatically defined class of quantum nilpotent algebras are proved to possess quantum cluster algebra structures under mild conditions. Furthermore, it is shown that these quantum cluster algebras always equal the corresponding upper quantum cluster algebras. Previous approaches to these problems for the construction of (quantum) cluster algebra structures on (quantized) coordinate rings arising in Lie theory were done on a case by case basis relying on the combinatorics of each concrete family. The results of the paper have a broad range of applications to thes…
