In this work, we prove that if S is a dual bounded sequence in the unit ball B of C^n for the Hardy class H^p(B), then S is H^s(B) interpolating with the linear extension property.
In this work we study Hardy Sobolev spaces in the ball of $C^n$ with respect to interpolating sequences and Carleson measures. We compare them with the classical Hardy spaces of the ball and we stress analogies and differences.
This paper is devoted to give the connections between Carleson measures for Besov-Sobolev spaces $B_p^σ(B)$ and $p$-Carleson measure in the unit ball of ${\bf C}^n$. As applications, we characterize the Riemann-Stieltjes operators and multipliers acting on $B_p^σ(B)$ spaces by means of Carleson measures for $B_p^σ(B)$.
Some new characterizations on Carleson measures for weighted Bergman spaces on the unit ball involving product of functions are obtained. For these we characterize bounded and compact Toeplitz operators between weighted Bergman spaces. The above results are applied to characterize bounded and compact extended Cesàro operators and pointwise multiplication operators. The results are new even in the case of the unit disk.
We characterize the Carleson measures for an exponential Bergman space on the unit ball of $\mathbb C^n$ in terms of the ball induced by the complex Hessian of the logarithm of the weight function. The boundedness (or compactness) of integral operators, Cesàro operators and Toeplitz operators, is given using the Carleson measure (or vanishing Carleson measure) characterization.
We extend Carleson's interpolation Theorem to sequences of matrices, by giving necessary and sufficient separation conditions for a sequence of matrices to be interpolating.
We characterize using the Bergman kernel Carleson measures of Bergman spaces in strongly pseudoconvex bounded domains in several complex variables, generalizing to this setting theorems proved by Duren and Weir for the unit ball. We also show that uniformly discrete (with respect to the Kobayashi distance) sequences give examples of Carleson measures, and we compute the speed of escape to the boundary of uniformly discrete sequences in strongly pseudoconvex domains, generalizing results obtained in the unit ball by Jevtić, Massaneda and Thomas, by Duren and Weir, and by MacCluer.
This work explores several aspects of interpolating sequences for $\ell^p_A$, the space of analytic functions on the unit disk with $p$-summable Maclaurin coefficients. Much of this work is communicated through a Carlesonian lens. We investigate various analogues of Gramian matrices, for which we show boundedness conditions are necessary and sufficient for interpolation, including a characterization of universal interpolating sequences in terms of Riesz systems. We also discuss weak separation, giving a characterization of such sequences using a generalization of the pseudohyperbolic metric. L…
We study a characterization of slice Carleson measures and of Carleson measures for the both the Hardy spaces $H^p(\mathbb B)$ and the Bergman spaces $\mathcal A^p(\mathbb B)$ of the quaternionic unit ball $\mathbb B$. In the case of Bergman spaces, the characterization is done in terms of the axially symmetric completion of a pseudohyperbolic disc in a complex plane. We also show that a characterization in terms of pseudohyperbolic balls is not possible.
The interpolating sequences for $H^{\infty}({\mathbb{D}}),$ the bounded holomorphic function in the unit disc ${\mathbb{D}}$ of the complex plane ${\mathbb{C}},$ {\small where characterised by L. Carleson by metric conditions on the points. They are also characterised by "dual boundedness" conditions which imply an infinity of functions. A. Hartmann proved recently that just one function in $H^{\infty}({\mathbb{D}})$ was enough to characterize interpolating sequences for $H^{\infty}({\mathbb{D}}).$ In this work we use the "hard" part of the proof of Carleson for the Corona theorem, to extend H…
We define the notion of $Φ$-Carleson measures where $Φ$ is either a concave growth function or a convex growth function and provide an equivalent definition. We then characterize $Φ$-Carleson measures for Bergman-Orlicz spaces, and apply them to characterize multipliers between Bergman-Orlicz spaces.
The classical theorems of Mittag-Leffler and Weierstrass show that when $\{λ_n\}$ is a sequence of distinct points in the open unit disk $\D$, with no accumulation points in $\D$, and $\{w_n\}$ is any sequence of complex numbers, there is an analytic function $ϕ$ on $\D$ for which $ϕ(λ_n) = w_n$. A celebrated theorem of Carleson \cite{MR117349} characterizes when, for a bounded sequence $\{w_n\}$, this interpolating problem can be solved with a bounded analytic function. A theorem of Earl \cite{MR284588} goes further and shows that when Carleson's condition is satisfied, the interpolating func…
We characterize the Carleson measures for the Drury-Arveson Hardy space and other Hilbert spaces of analytic functions of several complex variables. This provides sharp estimates for Drury's generalization of Von Neumann's inequality. The characterization is in terms of a geometric condition, the "split tree condition", which reflects the nonisotropic geometry underlying the Drury-Arveson Hardy space.
We give in this paper some equivalent definitions of the so called $ρ$-Carleson measures when $ρ(t)=(\log(4/t))^p(\log\log(e^4/t))^q$, $0\le p,q<\infty$. As applications, we characterize the pointwise multipliers on $LMOA(\mathbb S^n)$ and from this space to $BMOA(\mathbb S^n)$. Boundedness of the Cesàro type integral operators on $LMOA(\mathbb S^n)$ and from $LMOA(\mathbb S^n)$ to $BMOA(\mathbb S^n)$ is considered as well.
Title: On linear extension for interpolating sequences. Author: Eric Amar Abstract: Let A be a uniform algebra on the compact space X and $σ$ a probability measure on X. We define the Hardy spaces $H^{p}(σ)$ and the $H^{p}(σ)$ interpolating sequences S in the p-spectrum ${\mathcal{M}}_{p}$ of $σ$. We prove, under some structural hypotheses on $σ$ that "Carleson type" conditions on S imply that S is interpolating with a linear extension operator in $\displaystyle H^{s}(σ), s<p$ provided that either $p=\infty $ or $p\leq 2$. This gives new results on interpolating sequences for Hardy spaces of t…
The purposes of this paper are two fold. First, we extend the method of non-homogeneous harmonic analysis of Nazarov, Treil and Volberg to handle "Bergman--type" singular integral operators. The canonical example of such an operator is the Beurling transform on the unit disc. Second, we use the methods developed in this paper to settle the important open question about characterizing the Carleson measures for the Besov--Sobolev space of analytic functions $B^σ_2$ on the complex ball of $\mathbb{C}^d$. In particular, we demonstrate that for any $σ> 0$, the Carleson measures for the space are ch…
This paper is devoted to the study of the weighted Bergman space $A_ω^p $ in the unit ball $\mathbb{B}$ of $\mathbb{C}^n$ with doubling weight $ω$ satisfying $$\int_r^1ω(t)dt <C \int_{\frac{1+r}{2}}^1ω(t)dt ,\,\, 0\leq r<1.$$ The $q-$Carleson measures for $A_ω^p$ are characterized in terms of a neat geometric condition involving Carleson block. Some equivalent characterizations for $A_ω^p$ are obtained by using the radial derivative and admissible approach regions. The boundedness and compactness of Volterra integral operator $T_g:A_ω^p\to A_ω^q$ are also investigated in this paper with $0<p\l…
Carleson measures and interpolating and sampling sequences for weighted Bergman spaces on the unit disk are described for weights that are radial and grow faster than the standard weights $(1-|z|)^{-α}$, $0<α<1$. These results make the Hardy space $H^2$ appear naturally as a "degenerate" endpoint case for the class of Bergman spaces under study.
Free interpolation in Hardy spaces is caracterized by the well-known Carleson condition. The result extends to Hardy-Orlicz spaces contained in the scale of classical Hardy spaces $H^p$, $p>0$. For the Smirnov and the Nevanlinna classes, interpolating sequences have been characterized in a recent paper in terms of the existence of harmonic majorants (quasi-bounded in the case of the Smirnov class). Since the Smirnov class can be regarded as the union over all Hardy-Orlicz spaces associated with a so-called strongly convex function, it is natural to ask how the condition changes from the Carles…
In this paper we study mapping properties of Toeplitz-like operators on weighted Bergman spaces of bounded strongly pseudconvex domains in $\mathbb{C}^n$. In particular we prove that a Toeplitz operator built using as kernel a weighted Bergman kernel of weight $β$ and integrating against a measure $μ$ maps continuously (when $β$ is large enough) a weighted Bergman space $A^{p_1}_{α_1}(D)$ into a weighted Bergman space $A^{p_2}_{α_2}(D)$ if and only if $μ$ is a $(λ,γ)$-skew Carleson measure, where $λ=1+\frac{1}{p_1}-\frac{1}{p_2}$ and $γ=\frac{1}λ\left(β+\frac{α_1}{p_1}-\frac{α_2}{p_2}\right)$.…
We study almost sure separating and interpolating properties of random sequences in the polydisc and the unit ball. In the unit ball, we obtain the 0-1 Komolgorov law for a sequence to be interpolating almost surely for all the Besov-Sobolev spaces $B_{2}^σ\left(\mathbb{B}_{d}\right)$, in the range $0 < σ\leq1 / 2$. For those spaces, such interpolating sequences coincide with interpolating sequences for their multiplier algebras, thanks to the Pick property. This is not the case for the Hardy space $\mathrm{H}^2(\mathbb{D}^d)$ and its multiplier algebra $\mathrm{H}^\infty(\mathbb{D}^d)$: in th…
In this paper, we consider a new class of space, called $N(p, q, s)$-type spaces, in the unit ball $B$ of $C^n$. We study some basic properties, Hadamard gaps, Hadamard products, Random power series, Korenblum's inequality, Gleason's problem, atomic decomposition of $N(p, q, s)$-type spaces. Moreover, we also establish several equivalent characterizations, including Carleson measure characterization and various derivative characterizations. Finally, we also characterize the distance between Bergman-type spaces and $N(p, q, s)$-type spaces, Riemann-Stieltjes operators and multipliers on $N(p, q…
In this paper, we present maximal and area integral characterizations of Bergman spaces in the unit ball of $\mathbb{C}^n.$ The characterizations are in terms of maximal functions and area integral functions on Bergman balls involving the radial derivative, the complex gradient, and the invariant gradient. As an application, we obtain new maximal and area integral characterizations of Besov spaces. Moreover, we give an atomic decomposition of real-variable type with respect to Carleson tubes for Bergman spaces.
In this note we present a new proof of the Carleson Embedding Theorem on the unit disc and unit ball. The only technical tool used in the proof of this fact is Green's formula. The starting point is that every Carleson measure gives rise to a bounded subharmonic function. Using this function we construct a new related Carleson measure that allows for a simple embedding. In the case of the disc this gives the best known constant, with the previous best given by N. Nikolskii.
We study a Toeplitz type operator $Q_μ$ between the holomorphic Hardy spaces $H^p$ and $H^q$ of the unit ball. Here the generating symbol $μ$ is assumed to a positive Borel measure. This kind of operator is related to many classical mappings acting on Hardy spaces, such as composition operators, the Volterra type integration operators and Carleson embeddings. We completely characterize the boundedness and compactness of $Q_μ:H^p\to H^q$ for the full range $1<p,q<\infty$; and also describe the membership in the Schatten classes of $H^2$. In the last section of the paper, we demonstrate the usef…
Let $B_α^{p}$ be the space of $f$ holomorphic in the unit ball of $\Bbb C^n$ such that $(1-|z|^2)^αf(z) \in L^p$, where $0<p\leq\infty$, $α\geq -1/p$ (weighted Bergman space). In this paper we study the interpolating sequences for various $B_α^{p}$. The limiting cases $α=-1/p$ and $p=\infty$ are respectively the Hardy spaces $H^p$ and $A^{-α}$, the holomorphic functions with polynomial growth of order $α$, which have generated particular interest. In §1 we first collect some definitions and well-known facts about weighted Bergman spaces and then introduce the natural interpolation problem, alo…
As outlined below, this paper is devoted to a Carleson-type-measure-based study of the holomorphic Campanato $2$-space on the open unit ball $\mathbb B_n$ of $\mathbb C^n$, comprising all Hardy $2$-functions whose oscillations in non-isotropic metric balls on the compact unit sphere $\mathbb S_n$ are proportional to some power of the radius other than the dimension $n\ge 1$.
Let $0<p<\infty$, $β>-1$, and $Ω$ be a strongly pseudoconvex bounded domain with a smooth boundary in $\mathbb{C}^n$. We will study the interpolation problem for weighted Bergman spaces $A^p_β(Ω)$. In the case, $1\leq p<\infty$, and $β> \max \{n(2p-1)-1, n(2q-1)-1\}$, where $q$ is the conjugate exponent of $p$ (let $q=1$, for $p=1$), we show that a sequence in $\mathbb{B}_n$, the unit ball in $\mathbb{C}^n$, is interpolating for $A^p_β(\mathbb{B}_n)$ if and only if it is separated.
For $α>-1$ and $0<p<\infty$, we study weighted Bergman spaces $\mathcal B^p_α$ of harmonic functions on the real hyperbolic ball and obtain an atomic decomposition of these spaces in terms of reproducing kernels. We show that an $r$-separated sequence $\{a_m\}$ with sufficiently large $r$ is an interpolating sequence for $\mathcal B^p_α$. Using these we determine precisely when a Bergman space $\mathcal B^p_α$ is included in another Bergman space $\mathcal B^q_β$.
We study thin interpolating sequences $\{λ_n\}$ and their relationship to interpolation in the Hardy space $H^2$ and the model spaces $K_Θ= H^2 \ominus ΘH^2$, where $Θ$ is an inner function. Our results, phrased in terms of the functions that do the interpolation as well as Carleson measures, show that under the assumption that $Θ(λ_n) \to 0$ the interpolation properties in $H^2$ are essentially the same as those in $K_Θ$.
Given a sequence of points in the unit disk, a well known result due to Carleson states that if given any point of the sequence it is possible to interpolate the value one in that point and zero in all the other points of the sequence, with uniform control of the norm in the Hardy space of bounded analytic functions on the disk, then the sequence is an interpolating sequence (i.e.\ every bounded sequence of values can be interpolated by functions in the Hardy space). It turns out that such a result holds in other spaces. In this short note we would like to show that for a given sequence it is …
There has been a great deal of work done in recent years on weighted Bergman spaces $\apa$ on the unit ball $\bn$ of $\cn$, where $0<p<\infty$ and $α>-1$. We extend this study in a very natural way to the case where $α$ is {\em any} real number and $0<p\le\infty$. This unified treatment covers all classical Bergman spaces, Besov spaces, Lipschitz spaces, the Bloch space, the Hardy space $H^2$, and the so-called Arveson space. Some of our results about integral representations, complex interpolation, coefficient multipliers, and Carleson measures are new even for the ordinary (unweighted) Bergm…
We prove that the composition of a function in the Hardy class H^p of the unit ball B in C^n with an analytic disc is in the Bergman class of the unit disc. Then we use it to show that the natural "analysis by discs" fails in the case of H^p(B) interpolating sequences for finite p.
We completely characterize the boundedness of the Volterra type integration operators $J_b$ acting from the weighted Bergman spaces $A^p_α$ to the Hardy spaces $H^q$ of the unit ball of $\mathbb{C}^n$ for all $0<p,q<\infty$. A partial solution to the case $n=1$ was previously obtained by Z. Wu in \cite{Wu}. We solve the cases left open there and extend all the results to the setting of arbitrary complex dimension $n$. Our tools involve area methods from harmonic analysis, Carleson measures and Kahane-Khinchine type inequalities, factorization tricks for tent spaces of sequences, as well as tec…
Let $A$ be a sequence of points of $\mathbb{B}^n$ the unit ball in $\mathbb{C}^n.$ In terms of interpolating vectorial function (or Amar's function)[1], we give a necessary condition on $A$ to be interpolating for the weighted Bergman space $B^p_α(\mathbb{B}^n). In the particular case of Hardy space $H^p (\mathbb{B}^2)$, this condition is sufficient no optimal. In the main theorem proof, we resolve Gleason's problem (vectorial form) in $B^p_α(\mathbb{B}^n)$
We prove that the multiplier algebra of the Drury-Arveson Hardy space $H_{n}^{2}$ on the unit ball in $\mathbb{C}^{n}$ has no corona in its maximal ideal space, thus generalizing the famous Corona Theorem of L. Carleson to higher dimensions. This result is obtained as a corollary of the Toeplitz corona theorem and a new Banach space result: the Besov-Sobolev space $B_{p}^σ$ has the "baby corona property" for all $σ\geq 0$ and $1<p<\infty $. In addition we obtain infinite generator and semi-infinite matrix versions of these theorems.
Let $Ω$ be a bounded ${\mathcal{C}}^{\infty}$-smoothly bounded domain in ${\mathbb{C}}^{n}.$ For such a domain we define a new notion between strict pseudo-convexity and pseudo-convexity: the size of the set $W$ of weakly pseudo-convex points on $\partial Ω$ is small with respect to Minkowski dimension: near each point in the boundary $\partial Ω,$ there is at least one complex tangent direction in which the slices of $W$ has a upper Minkowski dimension strictly smaller than $2.$ We propose to call this notion "strong pseudo-convexity"; this word is free since "strict pseudo-convexity" gets th…
We define Hardy spaces $H^p$, $0<p<\infty$, for quasiconformal mappings on the Korányi unit ball $B$ in the first Heisenberg group $\mathbb{H}^1$. Our definition is stated in terms of the Heisenberg polar coordinates introduced by Korányi and Reimann, and Balogh and Tyson. First, we prove the existence of $p_0(K)>0$ such that every $K$-quasiconformal map $f:B \to f(B) \subset \mathbb{H}^1$ belongs to $H^p$ for all $0<p<p_0(K)$. Second, we give two equivalent conditions for the $H^p$ membership of a quasiconformal map $f$, one in terms of the radial limits of $f$, and one using a nontangential …
