Following Feigin and Fuchs, we compute the first cohomology of the Lie superalgebra $\mathcal{K}(1)$ of contact vector fields on the (1,1)-dimensional real superspace with coefficients in the superspace of linear differential operators acting on the superspaces of weighted densities. We also compute the same, but $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$-relative, cohomology. We explicitly give 1-cocycles spanning these cohomology. We classify generic formal $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$-trivial deformations of the $\mathcal{K}(1)$-module structure on the superspaces of symbols of differential operators. We prove that any generic formal $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$-trivial deformation of this $\mathcal{K}(1)$-module is equivalent to a polynomial one of degree $\leq4$. This work is the simplest superization of a result by Bouarroudj [On $\mathfrak{sl}$(2)-relative cohomology of the Lie algebra of vector fields and differential operators, J. Nonlinear Math. Phys., no.1, (2007), 112--127]. Further superizations correspond to $\mathfrak{osp}(N|2)$-relative cohomology of the Lie superalgebras of contact vector fields on $1|N$-dimensional superspace.
We investigate the second cohomology space of the Lie superalgebra $\mathcal{K}(2)$ with coefficients in the superspace of weighted densities on the (1,2)-dimentional real superspace. We explicitly give cocycles spanning this cohomology space.
On a given manifold M, the Nijenhuis bracket makes the superspace of vector-valued differential forms into a Lie superalgebra that can be interpreted as the centralizer of the exterior differential considered as a vector field on the supermanifold associated with the de Rham bundle on M. A similar bracket introduces structures of DG Lie superalgebra in the superspaces of cochains and cohomology with coefficients in the adjoint module for any Lie superalgebra. We use a Mathematica--based package SuperLie (already proven useful in various problems) to explicitly describe these Lie superalgebras …
A Vogan superdiagram is a set of involution and painting on a Dynkin diagram. It selects a real form, or equivalently an involution, from a complex simple Lie superalgebra. We introduce the double Vogan superdiagram, which is two sets of Vogan superdiagrams superimposed on an affine Dynkin diagram. They correspond to pairs of commuting involutions on complex simple Lie superalgebras, and therefore provide an independent classification of the simple locally symmetric or symmetric superpairs.
A Schroedinger type equation on the superspace R^{D|2n} is studied, which involves a potential inversely proportional to the negative of the osp(D|2n) invariant "distance" away from the origin. An osp(2,D+1|2n) dynamical supersymmetry for the system is explicitly constructed, and the bound states of the system are shown to form an irreducible highest weight module for this superalgebra. A thorough understanding of the structure of the irreducible module is obtained. This in particular enables the determination of the energy eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenspaces as well as their respect…
Over the $(1,n)$-dimensional real superspace, $n>1$, we classify $\mathcal{K}(n)$-invariant binary differential operators acting on the superspaces of weighted densities, where $\mathcal{K}(n)$ is the Lie superalgebra of contact vector fields. This result allows us to compute the first differential cohomology of %the Lie superalgebra $\mathcal{K}(n)$ with coefficients in the superspace of linear differential operators acting on the superspaces of weighted densities--a superisation of a result by Feigin and Fuchs. We explicitly give 1-cocycles spanning these cohomology spaces.
We compute the first differential cohomology of the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(2|2)$ with coefficients in the superspace of linear differential operators acting on the space of weighted densities on the (1,\,2)-dimensional real superspace. We also compute the same, but $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$-relative, cohomology. We explicitly give 1-cocycles spanning these cohomology. This work is a simplest generalization of a result by Basdouri and Ben Ammar [Cohomology of $\frak {osp}(1|2)$ with coefficients in $\frak{D}_{λ,μ}$.
Casimir operators -- the generators of the center of the enveloping algebra -- are described for simple or close to them ``classical'' finite dimensional Lie superalgebras with nondegenerate symmetric even bilinear form in Sergeev A., The invariant polynomials on simple Lie superalgebras. Represent. Theory 3 (1999), 250--280; math-RT/9810111 and for the ``queer'' series in Sergeev A., The centre of enveloping algebra for Lie superalgebra Q(n, C). Lett. Math. Phys. 7, no. 3, 1983, 177--179. Here we consider the remaining cases, and state conjectures proved for small values of parameter. Under d…
We compute the first cohomology of the ortosymplectic Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$ on the (1,1)-dimensional real superspace with coefficients in the superspace $\frak{D}_{λ,ν;μ}$ of bilinear differential operators acting on weighted densities. This work is the simplest superization of a result by Bouarroudj [Cohomology of the vector fields Lie algebras on $\mathbb{R}\mathbb{P}^1$ acting on bilinear differential operators, International Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics (2005), {\bf 2}; N 1, 23-40].
I show that the projective Schur functions may be interpreted as bispherical functions of either the triple (q(n),gl(n,n),q(n)), where q(n) is the "odd" (queer) analog of the general liner Lie algebra, or the triple (p(n),gl(n,n),p(n)), where p(n) is the periplectic Lie superalgebra which preserves the nondegenerate odd, bilinear form (either symmetric or skew symmetric). Making use of this interpretation I characterize projective Schur functions as common eigenfunctions of an algebra differential operators.
We describe an essential improvement of our recent algorithm for computing cohomology of Lie (super)algebra based on partition of the whole cochain complex into minimal subcomplexes. We replace the arithmetic of rational numbers or integers by a much cheaper arithmetic of a modular field and use the inequality between the dimensions of cohomology H over any modular field F_p = Z/pZ and over Q: dim H(F_p) >= dim H(Q). With this inequality we can, by computing over arbitrary F_p, quickly find the (usually, rare) subcomplexes for which dim H(F_p) > 0 and then carry out the full computation over Q…
We define a natural basis for the algebra of $\frak{gosp}(1|2n)$-invariant differential operators on the affine superspace $\mathbb{C}^{1|2n}$. We prove that these operators lie in the image of the centre of the enveloping algebra of $\frak{gosp}(1|2n)$. Using this result, we compute explicit formulas for the eigenvalues of these operators on irreducible summands of $\mathcal{P}(\mathbb{C}^{1|2n})$. This settles the Capelli eigenvalue problem for orthosymplectic Lie superalgebras in the cases that were not addressed in Sahi-Salmasian-Serganova. Our main technique relies on an explicit calculat…
We obtain a realization of the Lie superalgebra $D(2, 1 ; α)$ in differential operators on the supercircle $S^{1|2}$ and in $4\times 4$ matrices over a Weyl algebra. A contraction of $D(2, 1 ; α)$ is isomorphic to the universal central extension $\hat{\p\sł}(2|2)$ of $\p\sł(2|2)$. We realize it in $4\times 4$ matrices over the associative algebra of pseudodifferential operators on $S^1$. Correspondingly, there exists a three-parameter family of irreducible representations of $\hat{\p\sł}(2|2)$ in a $(2|2)$--dimensional complex superspace.
In this paper we propose the notion of cluster superalgebras which is a supersymmetric version of the classical cluster algebras introduced by Fomin and Zelevinsky. We show that the symplectic-orthogonal supergroup $SpO(2|1)$ admits a cluster superalgebra structure and as a consequence of this, we deduce that the supercommutative superalgebra generated by all the entries of a superfrieze is a subalgebra of a cluster superalgebra. We also show that the coordinate superalgebra of the super Grassmannian $G(2|0; 4|1)$ of chiral conformal superspace (that is, $(2|0)$ planes inside the superspace $\…
The purpose of this paper is to study Hom-Lie superalgebras, that is a superspace with a bracket for which the superJacobi identity is twisted by a homomorphism. This class is a particular case of $Γ$-graded quasi-Lie algebras introduced by Larsson and Silvestrov. In this paper, we characterize Hom-Lie admissible superalgebras and provide a construction theorem from which we derive a one parameter family of Hom-Lie superalgebras deforming the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra. Also, we prove a $\mathbb{Z}_2$-graded version of a Hartwig-Larsson-Silvestrov Theorem which leads us to a construction…
We introduce and define the quantum affine $(m|n)$-superspace (or say quantum Manin superspace) $A_q^{m|n}$ and its dual object, the quantum Grassmann superalgebra $Ω_q(m|n)$. Correspondingly, a quantum Weyl algebra $\mathcal W_q(2(m|n))$ of $(m|n)$-type is introduced as the quantum differential operators (QDO for short) algebra $\textrm{Diff}_q(Ω_q)$ defined over $Ω_q(m|n)$, which is a smash product of the quantum differential Hopf algebra $\mathfrak D_q(m|n)$ (isomorphic to the bosonization of the quantum Manin superspace) and the quantum Grassmann superalgebra $Ω_q(m|n)$. An interested poin…
We study the cohomology of Lie superalgebra of vector fields on affine super-spaces $\mathbb{A}^{m,n}$ with trivial coefficients. Previously known results covered the classical case $\mathbb{A}^m = \mathbb{A}^{m,0}$ as well as the case $\mathbb{A}^{m,n}$ with $m \leq n$. In this paper we perform the computation for super-spaces $\mathbb{A}^{m,1}$.
Given a Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{g}$, Gorelik defined the anticentre $\mathcal{A}$ of its enveloping algebra, which consists of certain elements that square to the center. We seek to generalize and enrich the anticentre to the context of supersymmetric pairs $(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{k})$, or more generally supersymmetric spaces $G/K$. We define certain invariant distributions on $G/K$, which we call ghost distributions, and which in some sense are induced from invariant distributions on $G_0/K_0$. Ghost distributions, and in particular their Harish-Chandra polynomials, give information abou…
We introduce the orthosymplectic superalgebra osp(m|2n) as the algebra of Killing vector fields on Riemannian superspace R^{m|2n} which stabilize the origin. The Laplace operator and norm squared on R^{m|2n}, which generate sl(2), are orthosymplectically invariant, therefore we obtain the Howe dual pair (osp(m|2n),sl(2)). We study the osp(m|2n)-representation structure of the kernel of the Laplace operator. This also yields the decomposition of the supersymmetric tensor powers of the fundamental osp(m|2n)-representation under the action of sl(2) x osp(m|2n). As a side result we obtain informat…
We describe the infinitesimal deformations of the standard embedding of the Lie superalgebra $D(2, 1 ; α)$ into the Poisson superalgebra of pseudodifferential symbols on $S^{1|2}$. We show that for the standard embedding of $D(2, 1 ; α)$ into the Poisson superalgebra of differential operators on $S^{1|2}$, the infinitesimal deformations correspond to formal deformations. For the embedding of $D(2, 1 ; α)$ into the derived contact superconformal algebra ${K}'(4)$, the infinitesimal deformations are formal deformations.
In 1960's I. Gelfand posed a problem: describe indecomposable representations of any simple infinite dimensional Lie algebra of polynomial vector fields. Here, by applying the elementary technique of Gelfand and Ponomarev, a toy model of the problem is solved: finite dimensional indecomposable representations of vect(0|2), the Lie superalgebra of vector fields on the (0|2)-dimensional superspace, are described. Since vect (0|2) is isomorphic to sl(1|2) and osp(2|2), their representations are also described. The result is generalized in two directions: for sl(1|n) and osp(2|2n). Independently a…
We study stabilization of finite-dimensional representations of the periplectic Lie superalgebras $\mathfrak{p}(n)$ as $n \to \infty$. The paper gives a construction of the tensor category $Rep(\underline{P})$, possessing nice universal properties among tensor categories over the category $\mathtt{sVect}$ of finite-dimensional complex vector superspaces. First, it is the "abelian envelope" of the Deligne category corresponding to the periplectic Lie superalgebra, in the sense of arXiv:1511.07699. Secondly, given a tensor category $\mathcal{C}$ over $\mathtt{sVect}$, exact tensor functors $Rep(…
Let $k$ be a field of characteristic $0$. For a superspace $V=V_\bar{0}\oplus V_\bar{1}$ over $k$, we call the vector $(\dim_k V_\bar{0} ,\dim_k V_\bar{1})$ the (${\mathbb Z}_2$-)graded dimension of $V$. Let $J(D_1|D_2)$ be the free Jordan superalgebra generated by $D_1$ even generators and $D_2$ odd generators. In this paper, we study the graded dimensions of the $n$-components of $J(D_1|D_2)$ and find the connection between them and the homology of Tits-Allison-Gao Lie superalgebra of $J(D_1|D_2)$ following the method given by I.Kashuba and O.Mathieu in [KM], where they deal with the free Jo…
We consider the supercircle $S^{1|1}$ equipped with the standard contact structure. The conformal Lie superalgebra K(1) acts on $S^{1|1}$ as the Lie superalgebra of contact vector fields; it contains the Möbius superalgebra $osp(1|2)$. We study the space of linear differential operators on weighted densities as a module over $osp(1|2)$. We introduce the canonical isomorphism between this space and the corresponding space of symbols and find interesting resonant cases where such an isomorphism does not exist.
Given a complex orthosymplectic superspace $V$, the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak {osp}(V)$ and general linear algebra ${\mathfrak {gl}}_N$ both act naturally on the coordinate super-ring $\mathcal{S}(N)$ of the dual space of $V\otimes{\mathbb C}^N$, and their actions commute. Hence the subalgebra $\mathcal{S}(N)^{\mathfrak {osp}(V)}$ of $\mathfrak {osp}(V)$-invariants in $\mathcal{S}(N)$ has a ${\mathfrak {gl}}_N$-module structure. We introduce the space of super Pfaffians as a simple ${\mathfrak {gl}}_N$-submodule of $\mathcal{S}(N)^{\mathfrak {osp}(V)}$, give an explicit formu…
We compute the first cohomology spaces $H^1(\mathfrak{osp}(1|2);\mathfrak{D}_{λ,μ})$ ($λ, μ\in\mathbb{R}$) of the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$ with coefficients in the superspace $\mathfrak{D}_{λ,μ}$ of linear differential operators acting on weighted densities on the supercircle $S^{1|1}$. The structure of these spaces was conjectured in \cite{gmo}. In fact, we prove here that the situation is a little bit more complicated. (To appear in LMP.)
Based on the Kazama-Suzuki type coset construction and its inverse coset between the subregular $\mathcal{W}$-algebras for $\mathfrak{sl}_n$ and the principal $\mathcal{W}$-superalgebras for $\mathfrak{sl}_{1|n}$, we prove weight-wise linear equivalences of their representation categories. Our main results are then improvements of these correspondences incorporating the monoidal structures. Firstly, in the rational case, we obtain the classification of simple modules and their fusion rules via simple current extensions from their Heisenberg cosets. Secondly, beyond the rational case, we use ce…
Let V be a finite-dimensional superspace and G a simple (or a ``close'' to simple) matrix Lie superalgebra, i.e., a Lie subsuperalgebra in GL(V). Under the classical invariant theory for G we mean the description of G-invariant elements of the tensor algebra of V. We give such description for GL(V), SL(V) and OSP(V) and their ``odd'' analogs: Q(V), SQ(V); Pe(V) and SPe(V).
A depending on a complex parameter $k$ superanalog ${\mathcal S}{\mathcal L}$ of Calogero operator is constructed; it is related with the root system of the Lie superalgebra ${\mathfrak{gl}}(n|m)$. For $m=0$ we obtain the usual Calogero operator; for $m=1$ we obtain, up to a change of indeterminates and parameter $k$ the operator constructed by Veselov, Chalykh and Feigin [2,3]. For $k=1, \frac12$ the operator ${\mathcal S}{\mathcal L}$ is the radial part of the 2nd order Laplace operator for the symmetric superspaces corresponding to pairs $(GL(V)\times GL(V), GL(V))$ and $(GL(V), OSp(V))$, r…
We review recent developments in the context of two-dimensional conformally invariant sigma-models. These quantum field theories play a prominent role in the covariant superstring quantization in flux backgrounds and in the analysis of disordered systems. We present supergroup WZW models as primary examples of logarithmic conformal field theories, whose structure is almost entirely determined by the underlying supergeometry. In particular, we discuss the harmonic analysis on supergroups and supercosets and point out the subtleties of Lie superalgebra representation theory that are responsible …
Let K be the Lie superalgebra of contact vector fields on the supersymmetric line. We compute the action of K on the modules of differential and pseudodifferential operators between spaces of tensor densities, in terms of their conformal symbols. As applications we deduce the geometric subsymbols, 1-cohomology, and various uniserial subquotients of these modules. We also outline the computation of the K-equivalences and symmetries of their subquotients.
