We consider symmetric pairs of Lie superalgebras which are strongly reductive and of even type, and introduce a graded Harish-Chandra homomorphism. We prove that its image is a certain explicit filtered subalgebra of the Weyl invariants on a Cartan subspace whose associated graded is the image of Chevalley's restriction map on symmetric invariants. This generalises results of Harish-Chandra and V. Kac, M. Gorelik.

In analogy to the theory of nilpotent orbit in finite-dimensional semisimple Lie algebras, it is known that the principal $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ subalgebras can be constructed in hyperbolic Kac-Moody Lie algebras. We obtained a series of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ subalgebras in rank 2 symmetric hyperbolic Kac-Moody Lie algebras by extending the aforementioned construction. We present this result and also discuss $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ modules obtained by the action of the $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ subalgebras on the original Lie algebras.

We conjecture an explicit positive combinatorial formula for the expansion of unicellular LLT polynomials in the elementary symmetric basis. In this work, we propose a new method for a unified study of some of the main features of the theory of the center of the enveloping algebra U(gl(n)) and of the algebra of shifted symmetric polynomials, that allows the whole theory to be developed, in a transparent and concise way, from the representation-theoretic point of view, that is entirely in the center of U(gl(n)). Our methodological innovation is the systematic use of the superalgebraic method of virtual variables for gl(n), which is, in turn, an extension of Capelli's method of "variabili ausiliarie".

For a fixed prime $p$, we consider a filtration of the commuting complex of elements of order $p$ in the symmetric group $\mathfrak{S}_n$. The filtration is obtained by imposing successively relaxed bounds on the number of disjoint $p$-cycles in the cycle decomposition of the elements. We show that each term in the filtration becomes highly acyclic as $n$ increases. We use $\mathbf{FI}$-modules in the proof.
