In this paper we solve a problem about the Schr$\ddot{o}$dinger operator with potential $v(θ)=2λcos2πθ/(1-αcos2πθ),\ (|α|<1)$ in physics. In this article, we consider the ergodic optimization of the top Lyapunov exponent. We prove that there is a unique maximising measure of top Lyapunov expoent for typical matrix cocyles. We prove the Hölder continuity of the Lyapunov exponent for quasi-periodic Schrödinger cocycles with a $C^2$ cos-type potential and any fixed Liouvillean frequency, provided the coupling constant is sufficiently large.
