Ehrhart analogue of the h-vector

We consider a formula of Stanley that expresses the Ehrhart generating polynomial of a polyhedral complex in terms of the h-polynomials of toric varieties. We prove that the coefficients in this expression are all non-negative and show that these coefficients can be found using the decomposition theorem in intersection cohomology.

Weighted Ehrhart Theory and Orbifold Cohomology

We introduce the notion of a weighted $δ$-vector of a lattice polytope. Although the definition is motivated by motivic integration, we study weighted $δ$-vectors from a combinatorial perspective. We present a version of Ehrhart Reciprocity and prove a change of variables formula. We deduce a new geometric interpretation of the coefficients of the Ehrhart $δ$-vector. More specifically, they are sums of dimensions of orbifold cohomology groups of a toric stack.

Ehrhart polynomials and stringy Betti numbers

We study the connection between stringy Betti numbers of Gorenstein toric varieties and the generating functions of the Ehrhart polynomials of certain polyhedral regions. We use this point of view to give counterexamples to Hibi's conjecture on the unimodality of delta-vectors of reflexive polytopes.

An Ehrhart Theory For Tautological Intersection Numbers

We discover that tautological intersection numbers on $\bar{\mathcal{M}}_{g, n}$, the moduli space of stable genus $g$ curves with $n$ marked points, are evaluations of Ehrhart polynomials of partial polytopal complexes. In order to prove this, we realize the Virasoro constraints for tautological intersection numbers as a recursion for integer-valued polynomials. Then we apply a theorem of Breuer that classifies Ehrhart polynomials of partial polytopal complexes by the nonnegativity of their $f^*$-vector. Local $h$-polynomials, invariants of subdivisions, and mixed Ehrhart theory

There are natural polynomial invariants of polytopes and lattice polytopes coming from enumerative combinatorics and Ehrhart theory, namely the $h$- and $h^*$-polynomials, respectively. In this paper, we study their generalization to subdivisions and lattice subdivisions of polytopes. By abstracting constructions in mixed Hodge theory, we introduce multivariable polynomials which specialize to the $h$-, $h^*$- polynomials. Vector bundles of finite rank on complete intersections of finite codimension in ind-Grassmannians

Principal bundles on metric graphs: the $\mathrm{GL}_n$ case

Using the notion of a root datum of a reductive group $G$ we propose a tropical analogue of a principal $G$-bundle on a metric graph. We focus on the case $G=\mathrm{GL}_n$, i.e. the case of vector bundles. Here we give a characterization of vector bundles in terms of multidivisors and use this description to prove analogues of the Weil--Riemann--Roch theorem and the Narasimhan--Seshadri correspondence. Vector bundles on a K3 surface

A K3 surface is a quaternionic analogue of an elliptic curve from a view point of moduli of vector bundles. We can prove the algebraicity of certain Hodge cycles and a rigidity of curve of genus eleven and gives two kind of descriptions of Fano threefolds as applications. In the final section we discuss a simplified construction of moduli spaces.

Generalized character sums associated to regular prehomogeneous vector spaces

In this paper we consider the analogue of the Sato's functional equation for the prehomogeneous vector spaces over finite fields. The corresponding character sums depend on a relative invariant on such a space and an irreducible representation of the group of components of the stabilizer of a generic point. The proof is based on the Picard-Lefschetz formula in $l$-adique cohomology.
