We considered an extension of the standard functional for the Einstein-Dirac equation where the Dirac operator is replaced by the square of the Dirac operator and a real parameter controlling the length of spinors is introduced. For one distinguished value of the parameter, the resulting Euler-Lagrange equations provide a new type of Einstein-Dirac coupling. We establish a special method for constructing global smooth solutions of a newly derived Einstein-Dirac system called the {\it CL-Einstein-Dirac equation of type II} (see Definition 3.1).
We prove smoothness and provide the asymptotic behavior at infinity of solutions of Dirac-Einstein equations on $\mathbb{R}^3$, which appear in the bubbling analysis of conformal Dirac-Einstein equations on spin 3-manifolds. Moreover, we classify ground state solutions, proving that the scalar part is given by Aubin-Talenti functions, while the spinorial part is the conformal image of $-\frac{1}{2}$-Killing spinors on the round sphere $\mathbb{S}^3$.
In this paper we study Dirac-Einstein equations on manifolds with boundary, restricted to a conformal class with constant boundary volume, under chiral bag boundary conditions for the Dirac operator. We characterize the bubbling phenomenon, also classifying ground state bubbles. Finally, we prove an Aubin-type inequality and a related existence result.
We determine the structure of conformal powers of the Dirac operator on Einstein {\it Spin}-manifolds in terms of the product formula for shifted Dirac operators. The result is based on the techniques of higher variations for the Dirac operator on Einstein manifolds and spectral analysis of the Dirac operator on the associated Poincaré-Einstein metric, and relies on combinatorial recurrence identities related to the dual Hahn polynomials.
We characterize the Lie derivative of spinor fields from a variational point of view by resorting to the theory of the Lie derivative of sections of gauge-natural bundles. Noether identities from the gauge-natural invariance of the first variational derivative of the Einstein(--Cartan)--Dirac Lagrangian provide restrictions on the Lie derivative of fields.

We study the Einstein-Dirac equation as well as the weak Killing equation on Riemannian spin manifolds with codimension one foliation. We prove that, for any manifold $M^n$ admitting real Killing spinors (resp. parallel spinors), there exist warped product metrics $\barη$ on $M^n \times {\mathbb R}$ such that $(M^n \times {\mathbb R}, \barη)$ admit Einstein spinors (resp. weak Killing spinors). To prove the result we split the Einstein-Dirac equation into evolution equations and constraints, by means of Cartan's frame formalism, and apply the local preservation property of constraints.

We construct exact solutions of the Einstein-Dirac equation, which couples the gravitational field with an eigenspinor of the Dirac operator via the energy-momentum tensor. For this purpose we introduce a new field equation generalizing the notion of Killing spinors. The solutions of this spinorial field equation are called weak Killing spinors (WK-spinors). After we characterize the bubbling phenomena, we prove an Aubin type result leading to the existence of a positive solution. We re-visit the eigenvalue estimate of the Dirac operator on spin manifolds with boundary in terms of the first eigenvalues of conformal Laplace operator as well as the conformal mean curvature operator. These problems were studied earlier by Hijazi-Montiel-Zhang and Raulot and we re-prove them under weaker assumption that a boundary chirality operator exists. Not only the Dirac operator, but also the spinor bundle of a pseudo-Riemannian manifold depends on the underlying metric. This leads to technical difficulties in the study of problems where many metrics are involved, for instance in variational theory. We construct a natural finite dimensional bundle, from which all the metric spinor bundles can be recovered including their extra structure. In the Lorentzian case, we also give some applications to Einstein-Dirac-Maxwell theory as a variational theory and show how to coherently define a maximal Cauchy development for this theory.
The aim of this short note is to announce the existence of a one-parameter family of left-invariant metrics on $S^3$ admitting WK-spinors. This family contains the two non-Einstein Sasakian metrics with WK-spinors on $S^3$, but does not contain the standard sphere $S^3$ with Killing spinors. Moreover, any simply-connected, complete Riemannian manifold $X^3 \not= S^3$ with WK-spinors such that the eigenvalues of the Ricci tensor are constant is isometric to a space of this one-parameter family.
We establish a lower bound for the eigenvalues of the Dirac operator defined on a compact Kähler-Einstein manifold of positive scalar curvature and endowed with particular ${\rm spin}^c$ structures. We propose a new framework for constructing geometric and physical models on nonholonomic manifolds provided both with Clifford -- Lie algebroid symmetry and nonlinear connection structure. Explicit parametrizations of generic off-diagonal metrics and linear and nonlinear connections define different types of Finsler, Lagrange and/or Riemann-Cartan spaces.
