Kontsevich has proven that the Lie homology of the Lie algebra of symplectic vector fields can be computed in terms of the homology of a graph complex. We prove that the Leibniz homology of this Lie algebra can be computed in terms of the homology of a variant of the graph complex endowed with an action of the symmetric groups. According to seminal work of Kontsevich, the unstable homology of the mapping class group of a surface can be computed via the homology of a certain lie algebra. In a recent paper, S. Morita analyzed the abelianization of this lie algebra, thereby constructing a series of candidates for unstable classes in the homology of the mapping class group. In the current paper, we show that these cycles are all nontrivial, representing degree 4k+1 homology classes in the homology of the mapping class group of a genus one surface with 4k+1 punctures.

We construct and prove a diagrammatic version of the Duflo isomorphism between the invariant subalgebra of the symmetric algebra of a Lie algebra and the center of the universal enveloping algebra. This version implies the original for metrized Lie algebras (Lie algebras with an invariant non-degenerate bilinear form). Kontsevich and Soibelman has proved a relation between a non-degenerate cyclic homology element of an A-infinity algebra A and its cyclic inner products on the minimal model of A. We find an explicit formula of this correspondence, in terms of the strong homotopy inner products and negative cyclic cohomology of A. We prove that an equivalence class of the induced strong homotopy inner product depends only on the given negative cyclic cohomology class. We compute the stable homology of necklace Lie algebras associated with quivers and give a construction of stable homology classes from certain $A_\infty$-categories. Our construction is a generalization of the construction of homology classes of moduli spaces of curves due to M. Kontsevich. In the second part of the paper we produce a Moyal-type quantization of the symmetric algebra of a necklace Lie algebra. The resulting quantized algebra has natural representations in the usual Moyal quantization of polynomial algebras.

In this paper we show that the homology of a certain natural compactification of the moduli space, introduced by Kontsevich in his study of Witten's conjectures, can be described completely algebraically as the homology of a certain differential graded Lie algebra. In [LMO] a 3-manifold invariant $Ω(M)$ is constructed using a modification of the Kontsevich integral and the Kirby calculus. The invariant $Ω$ takes values in a graded Hopf algebra of Feynman 3-valent graphs. Here we show that for homology 3-spheres the invariant $Ω$ is {\em universal} for all finite type invariants, i.e. $Ω_n$ is an invariant of order $3n$ which dominates all other invariants of the same order. We further study the symplectic Khovanov homology of Seidel and Smith and its generalization to even tangles. This homology theory is a conjectural geometric model for Khovanov homology. In this paper we uncover structures on symplectic Khovanov homology which have analogues in Khovanov homology. To each elementary (as well as minimal) cobordism between two tangles we associate a homomorphism between the symplectic Khovanov homology groups of the two tangles. In this paper we study a natural extension of Kontsevich's characteristic class construction for A-infinity and L-infinity algebras to the case of curved algebras. These define homology classes on a variant of his graph homology which allows vertices of valence >0. We compute this graph homology, which is governed by star-shaped graphs with odd-valence vertices. We prove several claims made by Kontsevich about the orbifold Euler characteristic of the three types of graph homology introduced by him. For this purpose, first we develop a simplified version of the Feynman diagram method, which requires integrals in one variable only, to obtain the generating functions as asymptotic expansions of certain Gaussian integrals. We compute the Hochschild homology and cohomology, and cyclic homology, of almost Calabi-Yau algebras for SU(3) ADE graphs. These almost Calabi-Yau algebras are a higher rank analogue of the pre-projective algebras for Dynkin diagrams, which are SU(2)-related constructions. The Hochschild (co)homology and cyclic homology of A can be regarded as invariants for the braided subfactors associated to the SU(3) modular invariants.
