The Euler characteristic of graph complexes via Feynman diagrams

We prove several claims made by Kontsevich about the orbifold Euler characteristic of the three types of graph homology introduced by him. For this purpose, first we develop a simplified version of the Feynman diagram method, which requires integrals in one variable only, to obtain the generating functions as asymptotic expansions of certain Gaussian integrals. Finally, following Penner, we relate these integrals to the gamma function in order to compute the individual coefficients of the generating functions.

The dimensions and Euler characteristics of M. Kontsevich's graph complexes

We provide a generating function for the (graded) dimensions of M. Kontsevich's graph complexes of ordinary graphs. This generating function can be used to compute the Euler characteristic in each loop order. Furthermore, we show that graphs with multiple edges can be omitted from these graph complexes.

Invariant Differential Forms on Complexes of Graphs and Feynman Integrals

We study differential forms on an algebraic compactification of a moduli space of metric graphs. Canonical examples of such forms are obtained by pulling back invariant differentials along a tropical Torelli map. Relation between quantum invariants of 3-manifolds and 2-dimensional CW-complexes

We show that the Reshetikhin-Turaev-Walker invariant of 3-manifolds can be normalized to obtain an invariant of 4-dimensional thickenings of 2-complexes. A Quantum Field Theoretical Representation of Euler-Zagier Sums

We establish a novel representation of arbitrary Euler-Zagier sums in terms of weighted vacuum graphs. This representation uses a toy quantum field theory with infinitely many propagators and interaction vertices. The propagators involve Bernoulli polynomials and Clausen functions to arbitrary orders. We review the combinatorial structure of perturbative quantum field theory with emphasis given to the decomposition of graphs into primitive ones. The consequences in terms of unique factorization of Dyson--Schwinger equations into Euler products are discussed.

Graph-complexes computing the rational homotopy of high dimensional analogues of spaces of long knots

We continue our investigation of spaces of long embeddings (long embeddings are high-dimensional analogues of long knots). Evaluations of link polynomials and recent constructions in Heegaard Floer theory

Using a definition of Euler characteristic for fractionally-graded complexes based on roots of unity, we show that the Euler characteristics of Dowlin's "$\mathfrak{sl}(n)$-like" Heegaard Floer knot invariants $HFK_n$ recover both Alexander polynomial evaluations and $\mathfrak{sl}(n)$ polynomial evaluations at certain roots of unity for links in $S^3$. We show that the equality of these evaluations can be viewed as the decategorified content of the conjectured spectral sequences relating $\mathfrak{sl}(n)$ homology and $HFK_n$.
