We establish a version of Knörrer's Periodicity Theorem in the context of noncommutative invariant theory. Namely, let $A$ be a left noetherian AS-regular algebra, let $f$ be a normal and regular element of $A$ of positive degree, and take $B=A/(f)$. Then there exists a bijection between the set of isomorphism classes of indecomposable non-free maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules over $B$ and those over (a noncommutative analog of) its second double branched cover $(B^\#)^\#$. On the classification and properties of noncommutative duplicates

We give an explicit description of the set of all factorization structures, or twisting maps, existing between the algebras k^2 and k^2, and classify the resulting algebras up to isomorphism. In the process we relate several different approaches formerly taken to deal with this problem, filling a gap that appeared in a recent paper by Cibils. We also provide a counterexample to a result concerning the Hochschild (co)homology appeared in a paper by J.A. Guccione and J.J. Guccione.

From quantum Ore extensions to quantum tori via noncommutative UFDs

All iterated skew polynomial extensions arising from quantized universal enveloping algebras of Kac-Moody algebras are special examples of a very large, axiomatically defined class of algebras, called CGL extensions. Quantum cluster algebra structures on quantum nilpotent algebras

All algebras in a very large, axiomatically defined class of quantum nilpotent algebras are proved to possess quantum cluster algebra structures under mild conditions. Furthermore, it is shown that these quantum cluster algebras always equal the corresponding upper quantum cluster algebras. Previous approaches to these problems for the construction of (quantum) cluster algebra structures on (quantized) coordinate rings arising in Lie theory were done on a case by case basis relying on the combinatorics of each concrete family. Gauge Theory for Spectral Triples and the Unbounded Kasparov Product

We explore factorizations of noncommutative Riemannian spin geometries over commutative base manifolds in unbounded KK-theory. After setting up the general formalism of unbounded KK-theory and improving upon the construction of internal products, we arrive at a natural bundle-theoretic formulation of gauge theories arising from spectral triples. We find that the unitary group of a given noncommutative spectral triple arises as the group of endomorphisms of a certain Hilbert bundle; the inner fluctuations split in terms of connections on, and endomorphisms of, this Hilbert bundle. Finite noncommutative geometries related to $F_p[x]$

It is known that irreducible noncommutative differential structures over $\Bbb F_p[x]$ are classified by irreducible monics $m$. We show that the cohomology $H_{\rm dR}^0(\Bbb F_p[x]; m)=\Bbb F_p[g_d]$ if and only if ${\rm Tr}(m)\ne 0$, where $g_d=x^{p^d}-x$ and $d$ is the degree of $m$. On $q$-commutative power and Laurent series rings at roots of unity

We continue the first and second authors' study of $q$-commutative power series rings $R=k_q[[x_1,\ldots,x_n]]$ and Laurent series rings $L=k_q[[x^{\pm 1}_1,\ldots,x^{\pm 1}_n]]$, specializing to the case in which the commutation parameters $q_{ij}$ are all roots of unity. In this setting, $R$ is a PI algebra, and we can apply results of De Concini, Kac, and Procesi to show that $L$ is an Azumaya algebra whose degree can be inferred from the $q_{ij}$. Quantum lens spaces and principal actions on graph C*-algebras

We study certain principal actions on noncommutative C*-algebras. Our main examples are the Z_p- and T-actions on the odd-dimensional quantum spheres, yielding as fixed-point algebras quantum lens spaces and quantum complex projective spaces, respectively. The key tool in our analysis is the relation of the ambient C*-algebras with the Cuntz-Krieger algebras of directed graphs. A general result about the principality of the gauge action on graph algebras is given.

The algebras $A(Γ)$, where $Γ$ is a directed layered graph, were first constructed by I. Gelfand, S. Serconek, V. Retakh and R. Wilson.
