Let $R$ be a Hecke solution to the Yang-Baxter equation and $K$ be a reflection equation matrix with coefficients in an associative algebra $\A$. Let $R(x)$ be the baxterization of $R$ and suppose that $K$ satisfies a polynomial equation with coefficients in the center of $\A$. We construct solutions to the reflection equation with spectral parameter relative to $R(x)$, in the form of polynomials in $K$.
We discuss how properties of Hecke symmetry (i.e., Hecke type R-matrix) influence the algebraic structure of the corresponding Reflection Equation (RE) algebra. Analogues of the Newton relations and Cayley-Hamilton theorem for the matrix of generators of the RE algebra related to a finite rank even Hecke symmetry are derived.
We construct boundary type operators satisfying fused reflection equation for arbitrary representations of the Baxterized affine Hecke algebra. These operators are analogues of the fused reflection matrices in solvable half-line spin chain models. We show that these operators lead to a family of commuting transfer matrices of Sklyanin type. We derive fusion type functional relations for these operators for two families of representations.
We begin the study of unitary representations of Hecke algebras of complex reflections groups. We obtain a complete classification for the Hecke algebra of the symmetric group $\mathfrak{S}_n$ over the complex numbers. Interestingly, the unitary representations in the category $\OO$ for the rational Cherednik algebra of type A studied in \cite{ESG} correspond to the unitary representations of the corresponding Hecke algebra via the KZ functor defined in \cite{GGOR}.
Connections between set-theoretic Yang-Baxter and reflection equations and quantum integrable systems are investigated. We show that set-theoretic $R$-matrices are expressed as twists of known solutions. We then focus on reflection and twisted algebras and we derive the associated defining algebra relations for $R$-matrices being Baxterized solutions of the $A$-type Hecke algebra ${\cal H}_N(q=1)$. We show in the case of the reflection algebra that there exists a ``boundary'' finite sub-algebra for some special choice of ``boundary'' elements of the $B$-type Hecke algebra ${\cal B}_N(q=1, Q)$.…
We define and study an action of the symmetric group on the Yokonuma--Hecke algebra. This leads to the definition of two classes of algebras. The first one is connected with the image of the algebra of the braid group inside the Yokonuma--Hecke algebras, and in turn with an algebra defined by Aicardi and Juyumaya known as the algebra of braids and ties. The second one can be seen as new deformations of complex reflection groups of type G(d,p,n). We provide several presentations for both algebras and a complete study of their representation theories using Clifford theory.
In the Reflection Equation (RE) algebra associated with an involutive or Hecke symmetry $R$ the center is generated by elements ${\rm Tr}_R L^k$ (called the quantum power sums), where $L$ is the generating matrix of this algebra and ${\rm Tr}_R$ is the $R$-trace associated with $R$. We consider the problem: whether it is so in certain RE-like algebras depending on spectral parameters. Mainly, we deal with algebras similar to those considered in \cite{RS} (we call them algebras of RS type). These algebras are defined by means of some current (i.e. depending on parameters) $R$-matrices arising f…
Non-polynomial Baxterized solutions of reflection equations associated with affine Hecke and affine Birman-Murakami-Wenzl algebras are found. Relations to integrable spin chain models with nontrivial boundary conditions are discussed.
We show that the category O for a rational Cherednik algebra of type A is equivalent to modules over a q-Schur algebra (parameter not a half integer), providing thus character formulas for simple modules. We give some generalization to B_n(d). We prove an ``abstract'' translation principle. These results follow from the unicity of certain highest categories covering Hecke algebras. We also provide a semi-simplicity criterion for Hecke algebras of complex reflection groups.
Quantum Drinfeld Hecke algebras are generalizations of Drinfeld Hecke algebras in which polynomial rings are replaced by quantum polynomial rings. We identify these algebras as deformations of skew group algebras, giving an explicit connection to Hochschild cohomology. We compute the relevant part of Hochschild cohomology for actions of many reflection groups and we exploit computations from our paper with Shroff for diagonal actions. By combining our work with recent results of Levandovskyy and Shepler, we produce examples of quantum Drinfeld Hecke algebras. These algebras generalize the brai…
Let R: V x V -> V x V be a Hecke type solution of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation (a Hecke symmetry). Then, the Hilbert-Poincre' series of the associated R-exterior algebra of the space V is a ratio of two polynomials of degree m (numerator) and n (denominator). Assuming R to be skew-invertible, we define a rigid quasitensor category SW(V) of vector spaces, generated by the space V and its dual V*, and compute certain numerical characteristics of its objects. Besides, we introduce a braided bialgebra structure in the modified Reflection Equation Algebra, associated with R, and equip objects o…
By using the notion of a quantum double we introduce analogs of partial derivatives on a Reflection Equation algebra, associated with a Hecke symmetry of GL(N) type. We construct the matrix L=MD, where M is the generating matrix of the Reflection Equation algebra and D is the matrix composed of the quantum partial derivatives and prove that the matrices M, D and L satisfy a matrix identity, called the matrix Capelli one. Upon applying the quantum trace, it becomes a scalar relation, which is a far-reaching generalization of the classical Capelli identity. Also, we get a generalization of the s…
The present paper deals with the representation theory of the reflection equation algebra, connected with a Hecke type R-matrix. Up to some reasonable additional conditions the R-matrix is arbitrary (not necessary originated from quantum groups). We suggest a universal method of constructing finite dimensional irreducible non-commutative representations in the framework of the Weyl approach well known in the representation theory of classical Lie groups and algebras. With this method a series of irreducible modules is constructed which are parametrized by Young diagrams. The spectrum of centra…
Cherednik's quantum affine Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations associated to an affine Hecke algebra module M form a holonomic system of q-difference equations acting on M-valued functions on a complex torus T. In this paper the quantum affine Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations are related to the Cherednik-Macdonald theory when M is induced from a character of a standard parabolic subalgebra of the affine Hecke algebra. We set up correspondences between solutions of the quantum affine KZ equations and, on the one hand, solutions to the spectral problem of the Cherednik-Dunkl q-difference reflection…
In this paper we are dealing with the Reflection Equation algebra ${\cal M}(R)$, associated with a $GL_N$ type Hecke symmetry $R$. In this algebra we define the $q$-analogs of the partial derivatives $\partial_j^i$ in generators $m_i^j$ of ${\cal M}(R)$. The product $\hat L = MD$ of two matrices $M=\|m_i^j\|$ and $D=\|\partial_i^j\|$ turns out to be a generating matrix of a modified Reflection Equation algebra $\hat{\cal L}(R)$ which is similar to the universal enveloping algebra $U(gl_N)$ in many aspects. Central elements of the modified Reflection Equation algebra give rise to $q$-Casimir op…
By treating generators of the reflection equation algebra corresponding to a Hecke symmetry as quantum analogs of vector fields, we exhibit the corresponding Leibniz rule via the so-called quantum doubles. The role of the function algebra in such a double is attributed to another copy of the reflection equation algebra. We consider two types of quantum doubles: these giving rise to the quantum analogs of left vector fields acting on the function algebra and those giving rise to quantum analogs of the adjoint vector fields acting on the same algebra. Also, we introduce quantum partial derivativ…
We introduce some braided varieties -- braided orbits -- by considering quotients of the so-called Reflection Equation Algebras associated with Hecke symmetries (i.e. special type solutions of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation). Such a braided variety is called regular if there exists a projective module on it, which is a counterpart of the cotangent bundle on a generic orbit O in gl(m)* in the framework of the Serre approach. We give a criterium of regularity of a braided orbit in terms of roots of the Cayley-Hamilton identity valid for the generating matrix of the Reflection Equation Algebra …
Cherednik attached to an affine Hecke algebra module a compatible system of difference equations, called quantum affine Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov (KZ) equations. In case of a principal series module we construct a basis of power series solutions of the quantum affine KZ equations. Relating the bases for different asymptotic sectors gives rise to a Weyl group cocycle, which we compute explicitly in terms of theta functions. For the spin representation of the affine Hecke algebra of type C the quantum affine KZ equations become the boundary qKZ equations associated to the Heisenberg spin-1/2 XXZ ch…
On any Reflection Equation algebra corresponding to a skew-invertible Hecke symmetry (i.e. a special type solution of the Quantum Yang-Baxter Equation) we define analogs of the partial derivatives. Together with elements of the initial Reflection Equation algebra they generate a "braided analog" of the Weyl algebra. When $q\to 1$, the braided Weyl algebra corresponding to the Quantum Group $U_q(sl(2))$ goes to the Weyl algebra defined on the algebra $\Sym((u(2))$ or that $U(u(2))$ depending on the way of passing to the limit. Thus, we define partial derivatives on the algebra $U(u(2))$, find t…
As was shown in \cite{GPS} the matrix $L=|| l_i^j||$ whose entries $l_i^j$ are generators of the so-called reflection equation algebra is subject to some polynomial identity looking like the Cayley-Hamilton identity for a numerical matrix. Here a similar statement is presented for a matrix whose entries are generators of a filtered algebra being a "non-commutative analogue" of the reflection equation algebra. In an appropriate limit we get a similar statement for the matrix formed by the generators of the algebra $U(gl(n))$. This property is used to introduce the notion of line bundles over qu…
