We formulate the notion of equivariance of an operator with respect to a covariant representation of a C^*-dynamical system. We then use a combinatorial technique used by the authors earlier in characterizing spectral triples for SU_q(2) to investigate equivariant spectral triples for two classes of spaces: the quantum groups SU_q(\ell+1) for \ell>1, and the odd dimensional quantum spheres S_q^{2\ell+1} of Vaksman & Soibelman. We construct spectral triples on all Podles quantum spheres. These noncommutative geometries are equivariant for a left action of $U_q(su(2))$ and are regular, even and of metric dimension 2. They are all isospectral to the undeformed round geometry of the 2-sphere. There is also an equivariant real structure for which both the commutant property and the first order condition for the Dirac operators are valid up to infinitesimals of arbitrary order.
We construct a 3^+ summable spectral triple (A(SU_q(2)),H,D) over the quantum group SU_q(2) which is equivariant with respect to a left and a right action of U_q(su(2)). The quantum version of the Bernstein-Gelfand-Gelfand resolution is used to construct a Dolbeault-Dirac operator on the anti-holomorphic forms of the Heckenberger-Kolb calculus for the $B_2$-irreducible quantum flag manifold. The spectrum and the multiplicities of the eigenvalues of the Dolbeault-Dirac operator are computed. It is shown that this construction yields an equivariant, even, $0^+$-summable spectral triple.

Using principles of quantum symmetries we derive the algebraic part of the real spectral triple data for the standard Podleś quantum sphere: equivariant representation, chiral grading $γ$, reality structure $J$ and the Dirac operator $D$, which has bounded commutators with the elements of the algebra and satisfies the first order condition.

We give a construction of a Dirac operator on a quantum group based on any simple Lie algebra of classical type. The Dirac operator is an element in the vector space $U_q(\g) \otimes \mathrm{cl}_q(\g)$ where the second tensor factor is a $q$-deformation of the classical Clifford algebra. The existence and uniqueness of quantizations that are equivariant with respect to conformal and projective Lie algebras of vector fields were recently obtained by Duval, Lecomte and Ovsienko.
