The existence and uniqueness of quantizations that are equivariant with respect to conformal and projective Lie algebras of vector fields were recently obtained by Duval, Lecomte and Ovsienko. In order to do so, they computed spectra of some Casimir operators. We give an explicit formula for those spectra in the general framework of IFFT-algebras classified by Kobayashi and Nagano. We also define tree-like subsets of eigenspaces of those operators in which eigenvalues can be compared to show the existence of IFFT-equivariant quantizations. We apply our results to prove existence and uniqueness of quantizations that are equivariant with respect to the infinitesimal action of the symplectic (resp. pseudo-orhogonal) group on the corresponding Grassmann manifold of maximal isotropic subspaces.
Let g be a Lie bialgebra and let V be a finite-dimensional g-module. We study deformations of the symmetric algebra of V which are equivariant with respect to an action of the quantized enveloping algebra of g. In particular we investigate such quantizations obtained from the quantization of certain Lie bialgebra structures on the semidirect product of g and V. We classify these structure in the important special case, when g is complex, simple, with quasitriangular Lie bialgebra structure and V is a simple g-module. We then introduce more a general notion, co-Poisson module algebras and their…
The purpose of this paper is to apply deformation quantization to the study of the coadjoint orbit method in the case of real reductive groups. We first prove some general results on the existence of equivariant deformation quantization of vector bundles on closed Lagrangian subvarieties, which lie in smooth symplectic varieties with Hamiltonian group actions. Then we apply them to orbit method and construct nontrivial irreducible Harish-Chandra modules for certain coadjoint orbits. Our examples include new geometric construction of representations associated to certain orbits of real exceptio…
Let $\XR$ be a (generalized) flag manifold of a non-compact real semisimple Lie group $\GR$, where $\XR$ and $\GR$ have complexifications X and G. We investigate the problem of constructing a graded star product on $Pol(T^*\XR)$ which corresponds to a $\GR$-equivariant quantization of symbols into smooth differential operators acting on half-densities on $\XR$. We show that any solution is algebraic in that it restricts to a G-equivariant graded star product star on the algebraic part R of $Pol(T^*\XR)$. We construct, when R is generated by the momentum functions $μ^x$ for G, a preferred choic…
Let $\mathfrak g$ be a finite dimensional split semisimple Lie algebra and $λ$ a weight of $\mathfrak g$. Let $F$ be the algebra of quantized regular functions on the connected simply connected group $G$ corresponding to $\mathfrak g$. In the present paper we introduce a certain subspace $F'$ of $F$ (which is not necessary a subalgebra of $F$) and endow it with an associative $\star$-product using the so-called reduced fusion element. We prove that the algebra $(F',\star)$ is isomorphic to $(L(λ))_{fin}$, where $L(λ)$ is the irreducible highest weight $\check{U}_q\mathfrak g$-module and "$fin$…
We consider the supercircle $S^{1|1}$ equipped with the standard contact structure. The conformal Lie superalgebra K(1) acts on $S^{1|1}$ as the Lie superalgebra of contact vector fields; it contains the Möbius superalgebra $osp(1|2)$. We study the space of linear differential operators on weighted densities as a module over $osp(1|2)$. We introduce the canonical isomorphism between this space and the corresponding space of symbols and find interesting resonant cases where such an isomorphism does not exist.
This article summarizes joint work with A. Alekseev (Geneva) on the Duflo isomorphism for quadratic Lie algebras. We describe a certain quantization map for Weil algebras, generalizing both the Duflo map and the quantization map for Clifford algebras. In this context, Duflo's theorem generalizes to a statement in equivariant cohomology.
We develop a theory of equivariant factorization algebras on varieties with an action of a connected algebraic group $G$, extending the definitions of Francis-Gaitsgory [FG] and Beilinson-Drinfeld [BD1] to the equivariant setting. We define an equivariant analogue of factorization homology, valued in modules over $\text{H}^\bullet_G(\text{pt})$, and in the case $G=(\mathbb{C}^\times)^n$ we prove an equivariant localization theorem for factorization homology, analogous to the classical localization theorem [AtB]. We establish a relationship between $\mathbb{C}^\times$ equivariant factorization …
We construct a unique G-equivariant graded star product on the algebra $S(g)/I$ of polynomial functions on the minimal nilpotent coadjoint orbit $\Omin$ of G where G is a complex simple Lie group and $g\neq\sl_2(C)$. This strengthens the result of Arnal, Benamor, and Cahen. Our main result is to compute, for G classical, the star product of a momentum function $μ_x$ with any function f. We find $μ_x\star f=μ_xf+\half\{μ_x,f\}t+Λ^x(f)t^2$. For $\g$ different from $sp_n(\C)$, $Λ^x$ is not a differential operator. Instead $\Lamda^x$ is the left quotient of an explicit order 4 algebraic differenti…
We develop a new approach, based on quantization methods, to study higher symmetries of invariant differential operators. We focus here on conformally invariant powers of the Laplacian over a conformally flat manifold and recover results of Eastwood, Leistner, Gover and Šilhan. In particular, conformally equivariant quantization establishes a correspondence between the algebra of Hamiltonian symmetries of the null geodesic flow and the algebra of higher symmetries of the conformal Laplacian. Combined with a symplectic reduction, this leads to a quantization of the minimal nilpotent coadjoint o…
We construct by geometric methods a noncommutative model E of the algebra of regular functions on the universal (2-fold) cover M of certain nilpotent coadjoint orbits O for a complex simple Lie algebra g. Here O is the dense orbit in the cotangent bundle of the generalized flag variety X associated to a complexified Cartan decomposition g=(p^+)+k+(p^-) where p^+- are Jordan algebras by the TKK construction. We obtain E as the algebra of g-finite differential operators on a smooth Lagrangian subvariety in M where g is given by differential operators twisted according to a critical parameter. Af…
We construct a U_h(sp(4))-equivariant quantization of the four-dimensional complex sphere S^4 regarded as a conjugacy class, Sp(4)/Sp(2)x Sp(2), of a simple complex group with non-Levi isotropy subgroup, through an operator realization of the quantum polynomial algebra C_h[S^4] on a highest weight module of U_h(sp(4)).
We propose and prove the Verlinde formula for the quantization of the Higgs bundle moduli spaces and stacks for any simple and simply-connected group. This generalizes the equivariant Verlinde formula for the case of $SU(n)$ proposed previously by the second and third author. We further establish a Verlinde formula for the quantization of parabolic Higgs bundle moduli spaces and stacks. Finally, we prove that these dimensions form a one-parameter family of $1+1$-dimensional TQFT, uniquely classified by the complex Verlinde algebra, which is a one-parameter family of Frobenius algebras. We cons…
We give an account of the theory of factorization spaces, categories, functors, and algebras, following the approach of [Ras1]. We apply these results to give geometric constructions of factorization $\mathbb{E}_n$ algebras describing mixed holomorphic-topological twists of supersymmetric gauge theories in low dimensions. We formulate and prove several recent predictions from the physics literature in this language: We recall the Coulomb branch construction of [BFN1] from this perspective. We prove a conjecture from [CosG] that the Coulomb branch factorization $\mathbb{E}_1$ algebra $\mathcal{…
