In [GM1], we defined a G_R-K_C invariant subset C(S) of G_C for each K_C-orbit S on every flag manifold G_C/P and conjectured that the connected component C(S)_0 of the identity would be equal to the Akhiezer-Gindikin domain D if S is of nonholomorphic type. This conjecture was proved for closed S in [WZ2,WZ3,FH,M4] and for open S in [M4]. It was proved for the other orbits in [M5] when G_R is of non-Hermitian type. In this paper, we prove the conjecture for an arbitrary non-closed K_C-orbit when G_R is of Hermitian type. Thus the conjecture is completely solved affirmatively.
It is known that the closure of an arbitrary K_c-orbit on a flag manifold is expressed as a product of a closed K_c-orbit and a Schubert cell ([M2], [Sp]). We already applied this fact to the duality of orbits on flag manifolds ([GM]). We refine here this result and and give its new applications to the study of domains arising from the duality.
In [GM1], we defined a G_R-K_C invariant subset C(S) of G_C for each K_C-orbit S on every flag manifold G_C/P and conjectured that the connected component C(S)_0 of the identity will be equal to the Akhiezer-Gindikin domain D if S is of nonholomorphic type. This conjecture was proved for closed S in [WZ1,WZ2,FH,M6] and for open S in [M6]. In this paper, we prove the conjecture for all the other orbits when G_R is of non-Hermitian type.
In [GM1], we defined a G_R-K_C invariant subset C(S) of G_C for each K_C-orbit S on every flag manifold G_C/P and conjectured that the connected component C(S)_0 of the identity would be equal to the Akhiezer-Gindikin domain D if S is of nonholomorphic type by computing many examples. In this paper, we first prove (in Theorem 1.3 and Corollary 1.4) this conjecture for the open K_C-orbit S on an ``arbitrary'' flag manifold generalizing the result of Barchini. This conjecture for closed S was solved in [WZ1], [WZ2] (Hermitian cases) and [FH] (non-Hermitian cases). We also deduce an alternative p…
We describe several general methods for calculating weights of mixed tilting sheaves. We introduce a notion called "non-cancellation property" which implies a strong uniqueness of mixed tilting sheaves and enables one to calculate their weights effectively. When we have a certain Radon transform, we prove a geometric analogue of Ringel duality which sends tilting objects to projective objects. We apply these methods to (partial) flag varieties and affine (partial) flag varieties and show that the weight polynomials of mixed tilting sheaves on flag and affine flag varieties are essentially give…
Building on the theory of parity sheaves due to Juteau-Mautner-Williamson, we develop a formalism of "mixed modular perverse sheaves" for varieties equipped with a stratification by affine spaces. We then give two applications: (1) a "Koszul-type" derived equivalence relating a given flag variety to the Langlands dual flag variety, and (2) a formality theorem for the modular derived category of a flag variety (extending a previous result of Riche-Soergel-Williamson).
In math.RT/0201073 we constructed an equivalence between the derived category of equivariant coherent sheaves on the cotangent bundle to the flag variety of a simple algebraic group and a (quotient of) the category of constructible sheaves on the affine flag variety of the Langlands dual group. Below we prove certain properties of this equivalence; provide a similar ``Langlands dual'' description for the category of equivariant coherent sheaves on the nilpotent cone; and deduce some conjectures by Lusztig and Ostrik.
For any Kac-Moody group $G$ with Borel $B$, we give a monoidal equivalence between the derived category of $B$-equivariant mixed complexes on the flag variety $G/B$ and (a certain completion of) the derived category of $B^\vee$-monodromic mixed complexes on the enhanced flag variety $G^\vee/U^\vee$, here $G^\vee$ is the Langlands dual of $G$. We also prove variants of this equivalence, one of which is the equivalence between the derived category of $U$-equivariant mixed complexes on the partial flag variety $G/P$ and certain "Whittaker model" category of mixed complexes on $G^\vee/B^\vee$. In …
We study the connection between the category of modules over the affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra at the critical level, and the category of D-modules on the affine flag scheme G((t))/I, where I is the Iwahori subgroup. We prove a localization-type result, which establishes an equivalence between certain subcategories on both sides. We also establish an equivalence between a certain subcategory of Kac-Moody modules, and the category of quasi-coherent sheaves on the scheme of Miura opers for the Langlands dual group, thereby proving a conjecture of [FG2].
In this paper, we develop the theory of flag manifold over a semifield for any Kac-Moody root datum. We show that the flag manifold over a semifield admits a natural action of the monoid over that semifield associated with the Kac-Moody datum and admits a cellular decomposition. This extends the previous work of Lusztig, Postnikov, Rietsch and others on the totally nonnegative flag manifolds (of finite type) and the work of Lusztig, Speyer, Williams on the tropical flag manifolds (of finite type). As a by-product, we prove a conjecture of Lusztig on the duality of totally nonnegative flag mani…
We propose a new definition of Koszulity for graded algebras where the degree zero part has finite global dimension, but is not necessarily semi-simple. The standard Koszul duality theorems hold in this setting. We give an application to algebras arising from multiplicity free blocks of the BGG category $\mathcal O$.
We formulate a Beilinson-Bernstein type derived equivalence for a quantized enveloping algebra at a root of 1 as a conjecture. It says that there exists a derived equivalence between the category of modules over a quantized enveloping algebra at a root of 1 with fixed regular Harish-Chandra central character and the category of certain twisted $D$-modules on the corresponding quantized flag manifold. We show that the proof is reduced to a statement about the (derived) global sections of the ring of differential operators on the quantized flag manifold. We also give a reformulation of the conje…
Let $X$ be a partial flag variety, stratified by orbits of the Borel. We give a criterion for the category of modular perverse sheaves to be equivalent to modules over a Koszul ring. This implies that modular category $\mathcal O$ is governed by a Koszul-algebra in small examples.
For any polynomial representation of the special linear group, the nodes of the corresponding crystal may be indexed by semi-standard Young tableaux. Under certain conditions, the standard Young tableaux occur, and do so with weight 0. Standard Young tableaux also parametrize the vertices of dual equivalence graphs. Motivated by the underlying representation theory, in this paper, we explainthis connection by giving a combinatorial manifestation of Schur-Weyl duality. In particular, we put a dual equivalence graph structure on the 0-weight space of certain crystal graphs, producing edges combi…
For coalgebras $C$ over a field, we study when the categories ${}^C\Mm$ of left $C$-comodules and $\Mm^C$ of right $C$-comodules are symmetric categories, in the sense that there is a duality between the categories of finitely presented unitary left $R$-modules and finitely presented unitary left $L$-modules, where $R$ and $L$ are the functor rings associated to the finitely accessible categories ${}^C\Mm$ and $\Mm^C$.
We establish algebraically and geometrically a duality between the Iwahori-Hecke algebra of type D and two new quantum algebras arising from the geometry of N-step isotropic flag varieties of type D. This duality is a type D counterpart of the Schur-Jimbo duality of type A and the Schur-like duality of type B/C discovered by Bao-Wang. The new algebras play a role in the type D duality similar to the modified quantum gl(N) in type A, and the modified coideal subalgebras of quantum gl(N) in type B/C. We construct canonical bases for these two algebras.
We provide a new proof of the super duality equivalence between infinite-rank parabolic BGG categories of general linear Lie (super) algebras conjectured by Cheng and Wang and first proved by Cheng and Lam. We do this by establishing a new uniqueness theorem for tensor product categorifications motivated by work of Brundan, Losev, and Webster. Moreover we show that these BGG categories have Koszul graded lifts and super duality can be lifted to a graded equivalence.
We apply the super duality formalism recently developed by the authors to obtain new equivalences of various module categories of general linear Lie superalgebras. We establish the correspondence of standard, tilting, and simple modules, as well as the identification of the u-homology groups, under these category equivalences. As an application, we obtain a complete solution of the irreducible character problem for some new parabolic BGG categories of gl(m|n)-modules, including the full BGG category of gl(m|2)-modules, in terms of type A Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials.
We develop a geometric approach toward an interplay between a pair of quantum Schur algebras of arbitrary finite type. Then by Beilinson-Lusztig-MacPherson's stabilization procedure in the setting of partial flag varieties of type A (resp. type B/C), the Howe duality between a pair of quantum general linear groups (resp. a pair of $\imath$quantum groups of type AIII/IV) is established. The Howe duality for quantum general linear groups has been provided via quantum coordinate algebras in [Z02]. We also generalize this algebraic approach to $\imath$quantum groups of type AIII/IV, and prove that…
In this paper we prove that the linear Koszul duality equivalence constructed in a previous paper provides a geometric realization of the Iwahori-Matsumoto involution of affine Hecke algebras.
We are concerned with relating derived categories of all modules of two dual Koszul algebras defined by a locally bounded quiver. We first generalize the well known Acyclic Assembly Lemma and formalize an old method of extending a functor from an additive category into a complex category to its complex category. Applying this to the Koszul functor associated with a Koszul algebra defined by a gradable quiver, we obtain a Koszul complex functor, that descends to an equivalence of a continuous family of pairs of triangulated subcategories of doubly unbounded complexes of the respective derived c…
The purpose of this work is twofold: to expose the existing similarities between the generalizations of the Tannaka and Galois theories, and on the other hand, to develop in detail our own treatment of part of the content of Joyal and Street [1] paper, generalizing from vector spaces to an abstract tensor category. We also develop in detail the proof of the Tannaka equivalence of categories in the case of vector spaces. Saavedra Rivano [2], Deligne and Milne [3] generalize classical Tannaka theory to the context of K-linear tensor (or monoidal) categories. They obtain a lifting-equivalence int…
