Consider complex semisimple Lie algebras of a given dimension specified by their structure constants. We describe a finite collection of rational functions in the structure constants that form a complete set of invariants: two sets of structure constants determine isomorphic algebras if and only if each of these rational functions has the same value on the two sets. This collection is indexed by all chord diagrams with the number of chords being bounded by a function of the dimension.
Leibniz algebras are a non-anticommutative version of Lie algebras. They play an important role in different areas of mathematics and physics and have attracted much attention over the last thirty years. In this paper we investigate whether conditions such as being a Lie algebra, cyclic, simple, semisimple, solvable, supersolvable or nilpotent in such an algebra are preserved by lattice isomorphisms.
In this paper, we provide a complete description of congruence-semisimple semirings and introduce the pre-ordered abelian Grothendieck groups $K_0(S)$ and $SK_0(S)$ of the isomorphism classes of the finitely generated projective and strongly projective S-semimodules, respectively, over an arbitrary semiring S. We prove that the $SK_0$-groups and $K_0$-groups are complete invariants of, i.e., completely classify, ultramatricial algebras over a semifield F. Consequently, we show that the $SK_0$-groups completely characterize zerosumfree congruence-semisimple semirings.
We develop a mechanism for classication of isomorphism types of non-trivial semisimple Hopf algebras whose group of grouplikes $G(H)$ is abelian of prime index $p$ which is the smallest prime divisor of $|G(H)|$. We describe structure of the second cohomology group of extensions of $\k C_p$ by $\k^G$ where $C_p$ is a cyclic group of order $p$ and $G$ a finite abelian group. We carry out an explicit classification for Hopf algebras of this kind of dimension $p^4$ for any odd prime $p$. The ground field is algebraically closed of characteristic $0$.
In this note, we prove that an affine cellular algebra $A$ is semisimple if and only if the scheme associated to $A$ is reduced and 0-dimensional, and the bilinear forms with respect to all layers of $A$ are isomorphisms. Moreover, if the ground ring is a perfect field, then $A$ is semisimple if and only if it is separable. We also give a sufficient condition for an affine cellular algebra being Jacobson semisimple.
We investigate Atiyah algebroids, i.e. the infinitesimal objects of principal bundles, from the viewpoint of Lie algebraic approach to space. First we show that if the Lie algebras of smooth sections of two Atiyah algebroids are isomorphic, then the corresponding base manifolds are necessarily diffeomorphic. Further, we give two characterizations of the isomorphisms of the Lie algebras of sections for Atiyah algebroids associated to principle bundles with semisimple structure groups. For instance we prove that in the semisimple case the Lie algebras of sections are isomorphic if and only if th…
We prove that a depth two Hopf subalgebra K of a semisimple Hopf algebra H is normal (where the ground field $k$ is algebraically closed of characteristic zero). This means on the one hand that a Hopf subalgebra is normal when inducing (then restricting) modules several times as opposed to one time creates no new simple constituents. This point of view was taken in the paper http://arxiv.org/abs/math/0409346 which established a normality result in case H and K are finite group algebras. On the other hand this means that K is normal in H when H | K is a Galois extension with respect to action o…
We consider the action of a semisimple Hopf algebra $H$ on an $m$-Koszul Artin-Schelter regular algebra $A$. Such an algebra $A$ is a derivation-quotient algebra for some twisted superpotential $\mathsf{w}$, and we show that the homological determinant of the action of $H$ on $A$ can be easily calculated using $\mathsf{w}$. Using this, we show that the smash product $A\,\#\,H$ is also a derivation-quotient algebra, and use this to explicitly determine a quiver algebra $Λ$ to which $A\,\#\,H$ is Morita equivalent, generalising a result of Bocklandt-Schedler-Wemyss. We also show how $Λ$ can be u…
We show that the isomorphism class of a two-step solvable Lie poset subalgebra of a semisimple Lie algebra is determined by its dimension. We further establish that all such algebras are absolutely rigid.
When k is an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0 and H is a non-semisimple monomial Hopf algebra, we show that all Galois objects over H are determined up to H-comodule algebra isomorphism by their polynomial H-identities, extending a previous result by Kassel.
In this article we prove that the elliptic, hyperbolic and nilpotent (or unipotent) additive (or multiplicative) Jordan components of an endomorphism $X$ (or an isomorphism $g$) of a finite dimensional vector space are given by polynomials in $X$ (or in $g$). By using this, we provide a simple proof that, for an element $X$ of a linear semisimple Lie algebra $\g$ (or $g$ of a linear semisimple connected Lie group $G$), its three Jordan components lie again in the algebra (in the group). This was previously unknown for linear Lie groups other then $\Int(\g)$. This implies that, for this class o…

Any finite dimensional semisimple algebra A over a field K is isomorphic to a direct sum of finite dimensional full matrix rings over suitable division rings. In this paper we will consider the special case where all division rings are exactly the field K. All such finite dimensional semisimple algebras arise as a finite dimensional Leavitt path algebra. For this specific finite dimensional semisimple algebra A over a field K, we define a uniquely detemined specific graph - which we name as a truncated tree associated with A - whose Leavitt path algebra is isomorphic to A. We define an algebra…
Let $K$ be a number field, let $A$ be a finite-dimensional $K$-algebra, let $\mathrm{J}(A)$ denote the Jacobson radical of $A$, and let $Λ$ be an $\mathcal{O}_{K}$-order in $A$. Suppose that each simple component of the semisimple $K$-algebra $A/{\mathrm{J}(A)}$ is isomorphic to a matrix ring over a field. Under this hypothesis on $A$, we give an algorithm that given two $Λ$-lattices $X$ and $Y$, determines whether $X$ and $Y$ are isomorphic, and if so, computes an explicit isomorphism $X \rightarrow Y$. This algorithm reduces the problem to standard problems in computational algebra and algor…
Let $H$ be a finite dimensional semisimple Hopf algebra, $A$ a differential graded (dg for short) $H$-module algebra. Then the smash product algebra $A\#H$ is a dg algebra. For any dg $A\#H$-module $M$, there is a quasi-isomorphism of dg algebras: $\mathrm{RHom}_A(M,M)\#H\longrightarrow \mathrm{RHom}_{A\#H}(M\ot H,M\ot H)$. This result is applied to $d$-Koszul algebras, Calabi-Yau algebras and AS-Gorenstein dg algebras
We say that an $R$-module $M$ is {\it virtually simple} if $M\neq (0)$ and $N\cong M$ for every non-zero submodule $N$ of $M$, and {\it virtually semisimple} if each submodule of $M$ is isomorphic to a direct summand of $M$. We carry out a study of virtually semisimple modules and modules which are direct sums of virtually simple modules. Our theory provides two natural generalizations of the Wedderburn-Artin Theorem and an analogous to the classical Krull-Schmidt Theorem. Some applications of these theorems are indicated. For instance, it is shown that the following statements are equivalent …
For a field $R$ of characteristic $p\ge 0$ and a matrix $c$ in the full $n\times n$ matrix algebra $M_n(R)$ over $R$, let $S_n(c,R)$ be the centralizer algebra of $c$ in $M_n(R)$. We show that $S_n(c,R)$ is a Frobenius-finite, $1$-Auslander-Gorenstein, and gendo-symmetric algebra, and that the extension $S_n(c,R)\subseteq M_n(R)$ is separable and Frobenius. Further, we study the isomorphism problem of invariant matrix algebras. Let $σ$ be a permutation in the symmetric group $Σ_n$ and $c_σ$ the corresponding permutation matrix in $M_n(R)$. We give sufficient and necessary conditions for the in…
Given a grading by an abelian group G on a semisimple Lie algebra L over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0, we classify up to isomorphism the simple objects in the category of finite-dimensional G-graded L-modules. The invariants appearing in this classification are computed in the case when L is simple classical (except for type D4, where a partial result is given). In particular, we obtain criteria to determine when a finite-dimensional simple L-module admits a G-grading making it a graded L-module.
Let $Ł(f) = K[x][y; f\frac{d}{dx} ]$ be an Ore extension of a polynomial algebra $K[x]$ over a field $K$ of characteristic zero where $f\in K[x]$. For a given polynomial $f$, the automorphism group of the algebra $Ł(f) $ is explicitly described. The polynomial case $Ł(0) = K[x,y]$ and the case of the Weyl algebra $A_1= K[x][y; \frac{d}{dx} ]$ were done done by Jung (1942) and van der Kulk (1953), and Dixmier (1968), respectively. In 1997, Alev and Dumas proved that the algebras $Ł(f)$ and $Ł(g)$ are isomorphic iff $g(x) = łf(αx+β)$ for some $ł, α\in K\backslash \{ 0\}$ and $β\in K$. In 2015, B…
In this paper, we introduce a method computing the primitive decomposition of idempotents of any semisimple finite group algebra based on its matrix representations and Wedderburn decomposition. Particularly, we use this method to calculate the examples of the dihedral group algebras $\mathbb{C}[D_{2n}]$ and generalized quaternion group algebras $\mathbb{C}[Q_{4m}]$. Inspired by the orthogonality relations of the character tables of these two families of groups, we obtain two sets of trigonometric identities. Furthermore, a group algebra isomorphism between $\mathbb{C}[D_{8}]$ and $\mathbb{C}[…
Let L be a finite dimensional simple Lie algebra over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p>3. We prove in this paper that if all tori of maximal dimansion in the semisimple p-envelope of L are standard, the L is up to isomorphism either a Lie algebra of type A_n, B_n, C_n, D_n, E_6, E_7, E_8, F_4, G_2 or a filtered Lie algebra of Cartan type. When p>5, the assumption on tori is fulfilled automatically and our result can be restated as follows: every finite dimensional simple Lie algebra over an algebraically closee field of characteristic p>5 is either classical or of Cartan type.…
