In this paper, we classify the irreducible representations of the trigonometric Cherednik algebras of rank 1 in characteristic p > 0. There are two cases. One is the "quantum" case, where "Planck's constant" is nonzero and generic irreducible representations have dimension 2p. In this case, smaller representations exist if and only if the "coupling constant" k is in F_p; namely, if 0 <= k <= p-1, then there exist irreducible representations of dimensions p-k and p+k. The other case is the "classical" case, where "Planck's constant" is zero and generic irreducible representations have dimension 2p. In that case, one-dimensional representations exist if and only if the "coupling constant" k is zero.
For any module over the affine Weyl group we construct a representation of the associated trigonometric Cherednik algebra $A(k)$ at critical level in terms of Dunkl type operators. Under this representation the center of $A(k)$ produces quantum conserved integrals for root system generalizations of quantum spin-particle systems on the circle with delta function interactions. This enables us to translate the spectral problem of such a quantum spin-particle system to questions in the representation theory of $A(k)$. We use this approach to derive the associated Bethe ansatz equations. They are e…
We realize an extended version of the trigonometric Cherednik algebra as affine Dunkl operators involving Heaviside functions. We use the quadratic Casimir element of the extended trigonometric Cherednik algebra to define an explicit nonstationary Schrödinger equation with delta-potential. We use coordinate Bethe ansatz methods to construct solutions of the nonstationary Schrödinger equation in terms of generalized Bethe wave functions. It is shown that the generalized Bethe wave functions satisfy affine difference Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations in their spectral parameter. The relation to t…
We study a connection between the representation theory of the rational Cherednik algebra of type $GL_n$ and the representation theory of the degenerate double affine Hecke algebra (the degenerate DAHA). We focus on an algebra embedding from the rational Cherednik algebra to the degenerate DAHA and investigate the induction functor through this embedding. We prove that this functor embeds the category ${\mathcal O}$ for the rational Cherednik algebra fully faithfully into the category ${\mathcal O}$ for the degenerate DAHA. We also study the full subcategory ${\mathcal O}^{ss}$ of ${\mathcal O…
We study canonical intertwining operators between modules of the trigonometric Cherednik algebra, induced from the standard modules of the degenerate affine Hecke algebra. We show that these operators correspond to the Zhelobenko operators for the affine Lie algebra $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_m$. To establish the correspondence, we use the functor of Arakawa, Suzuki and Tsuchiya which maps certain $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_m$-modules to modules of the Cherednik algebra.
In this note we determine the values of parameters c for which the polynomial representation of the degenerate double affine Hecke algebra (DAHA), i.e. the trigonometric Cherednik algebra, is reducible. Namely, we show that c is a reducibility point for the polynomial representation of the trigonometric Cherednik algebra for a root system R if and only if it is a reducibility point for the rational Cherednik algebra for the Weyl group of some root subsystem R' of R of the same rank; such subsystems for any R are given by the well known Borel-de Siebenthal algorithm. This result has been proved…
In this paper, we classify the irreducible representations of the rational Cherednik algebras of rank 1 in characteristic p > 0. There are two cases. One is the "quantum" case, where "Planck's constant" is nonzero and generic irreducible representations have dimension pr, where r is the order of the cyclic group contained in the algebra. The other is the "classical" case, where "Planck's constant" is zero and generic irreducible representations have dimension r.
For any smooth algebraic curve C, Pavel Etingof introduced a `global' Cherednik algebra as a natural deformation of the cross product of the algebra of differential operators on C^n and the symmetric group. We provide a construction of the global Cherednik algebra in terms of quantumn Hamiltonian reduction. We study a category of character D-modules on a representation scheme associated to C and define a Hamiltonian reduction functor from that category to category O for the global Cherednik algebra. In the special case where the curve C is the multiplicative group, the global Cherednik algebra…
We determine the support of the irreducible spherical representation (i.e., the irreducible quotient of the polynomial representation) of the rational Cherednik algebra of a finite Coxeter group for any value of the parameter c. In particular, we determine for which values of c this representation is finite dimensional. This generalizes a result of Varagnolo and Vasserot, arXiv:0705.2691, who classified finite dimensional spherical representations in the case of Weyl groups and equal parameters (i.e., when c is a constant function). As an application, we compute the zero set of the kernel of t…
We show that the wall crossing bijections between simples of the category O of the rational Cherednik algebras reduce to particular crystal isomorphisms which can be computed by a simple combinatorial procedure on multipartitions of fixed rank.
We investigate the representation theory of the rational and trigonometric Cherednik algebra of type $GL_n$ by means of combinatorics on periodic (or cylindrical) skew diagrams. We introduce and study standard tableaux and plane partitions on periodic diagrams, and in particular, compute some generating functions concerning plane partitions, where Kostka polynomials and their level restricted generalization appear. On representation side, we study representations of Cherednik algebras which admit weight decomposition with respect to a certain commutative subalgebra. All the irreducible represe…
Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a semisimple Lie algebra, $\mathfrak{t}$ its Cartan subalgebra and $W$ the Weyl group. The goal of this paper is to prove an isomorphism between suitable completions of the equivariant Borel-Moore homology of certain affine Springer fibers for $\mathfrak{g}$ and the global sections of a bundle related to a Procesi bundle on the smooth locus of a partial resolution of $(\mathfrak{t}\oplus \mathfrak{t}^*)/W$. We deduce some applications of our isomorphism including a conditional application to the center of the small quantum group. Our main method is to compare certain bimo…
We study a family of abelian categories O_{c, t} depending on complex parameters c, t which are interpolations of the O-category for the rational Cherednik algebra H_c(t) of type A, where t is a positive integer. We define the notion of a Verma object in such a category (a natural analogue of the notion of Verma module). We give some necessary conditions and some sufficient conditions for the existence of a non-trivial morphism between two such Verma objects. We also compute the character of the irreducible quotient of a Verma object for sufficiently generic values of parameters c, t, and prov…
We introduce parabolic induction and restriction functors for rational Cherednik algebras, and study their basic properties. Then we discuss applications of these functors to representation theory of rational Cherednik algebras. In particular, we prove the Gordon-Stafford theorem about Morita equivalence of the rational Cherednik algebra for type A and its spherical subalgebra, without the assumption that c is not a half-integer, which was required up to now. Also, we classify representations from category O over the rational Cherednik algebras of type A which do not contain an S_n-invariant v…
We provide geometric constructions of modules over the graded Cherednik algebra $\mathfrak{H}^{gr}_ν$ and the rational Cherednik algebra $\mathfrak{H}^{rat}_ν$ attached to a simple algebraic group $\mathbb{G}$ together with a pinned automorphism $θ$. These modules are realized on the cohomology of affine Springer fibers (of finite type) that admit $\mathbb{C}^*$-actions. In the rational Cherednik algebra case, the standard grading on these modules is derived from the perverse filtration on the cohomology of affine Springer fibers coming from its global analog: Hitchin fibers. When $θ$ is trivi…
We study holonomic D-modules on SL_n(C)xC^n, called mirabolic modules, analogous to Lusztig's character sheaves. We describe the supports of simple mirabolic modules. We show that a mirabolic module is killed by the functor of Hamiltonian reduction from the category of mirabolic modules to the category of representations of the trigonometric Cherednik algebra if and only if the characteristic variety of the module is contained in the unstable locus. We introduce an analogue of the Verdier specialization functor for representations of Cherednik algebras which agrees, on category O, with the res…
In this review paper we show how the Cherednik algebra of type $\check{C_1}C_1$ appears naturally as quantisation of the group algebra of the monodromy group associated to the sixth Painlevé equation. This fact naturally leads to an embedding of the Cherednik algebra of type $\check{C_1}C_1$ into $Mat(2,\mathbb T_q)$, i.e. $2\times 2$ matrices with entries in the quantum torus. For $q=1$ this result is equivalent to say that the Cherednik algebra of type $\check{C_1}C_1$ is Azumaya of degree $2$ \cite{O}. By quantising the action of the braid group and of the Okamoto transformations on the mon…
We study a scheme M closely related to the set of pairs of n by n-matrices with rank 1 commutator. We show that M is a reduced complete intersection with n+1 irreducible components, which we describe. There is a distinguished Lagrangian subvariety Nil in M. We introduce a category, C, of D-modules whose characteristic variety is contained in Nil. Simple objects of that category are analogous to Lusztig's character sheaves. We construct a functor of Quantum Hamiltonian reduction from category C to the category O for type A rational Cherednik algebra.
In this article, we conjecture exact estimates for the Weyl-invariant Opdam-Cherednik hypergeometric functions. We prove the conjecture for the root system $A_n$ and for all rank 1 cases. We provide other evidence that the conjecture might be true in general.
A conjecture by the second author, proven by Bonnafé-Rouquier, says that the multiplicity matrix for baby Verma modules over the restricted rational Cherednik algebra has rank one over $\mathbb{Q}$ when restricted to each block of the algebra. In this paper, we show that if $H$ is a prime algebra that is a free Frobenius extension over a regular central subalgebra $R$, and the centre of $H$ is normal Gorenstein, then each central quotient $A$ of $H$ by a maximal ideal $\mathfrak{m}$ of $R$ satisfies the rank one property with respect to the Cartan matrix of $A$. Examples where the result is ap…
We prove a criterion for the reality of irreducible representations of the rational Cherednik algebras H_{0,1}(S_n). This is shown to imply a criterion for the real loci of the Calogero-Moser spaces C_n in terms of the Etingof-Ginzburg finite maps Υ\colon C_n \to C^n/S_n \times C^n/S_n, recovering a result of Mikhin, Tarasov, and Varchenko [MTV2]. As a consequence we obtain a criterion for the real locus of the Wilson's adelic Grassmannian of rank one bispectral solutions of the KP hierarchy. Using Wilson's first parametrisation of the adelic Grassmannian, we give a new proof of a result of [M…
We build representations of the elliptic braid group from the data of a quantum D-module M over a ribbon Hopf algebra U. The construction is modelled on, and generalizes, similar constructions by Lyubashenko and Majid, and also certain geometric constructions of Calaque, Enriquez, and Etingof concerning trigonometric Cherednik algebras. In this context, the former construction is the special case where M is the basic representation, while the latter construction can be recovered as a quasi-classical limit of U=U_t(sl_N), as t limits 1. In the latter case, we produce representations of the doub…
We introduce an algebra $\mathcal H$ consisting of difference-reflection operators and multiplication operators that can be considered as a $q=1$ analogue of Sahi's double affine Hecke algebra related to the affine root system of type $(C^\vee_1, C_1)$. We study eigenfunctions of a Dunkl-Cherednik-type operator in the algebra $\mathcal H$, and the corresponding Fourier transforms. These eigenfunctions are non-symmetric versions of the Wilson polynomials and the Wilson functions.
We develop representation theory of the rational Cherednik algebra H associated to a finite Coxeter group W in a vector space h. It is applied to show that, for integral values of parameter `c', the algebra H is simple and Morita equivalent to D(h)#W, the cross product of W with the algebra of polynomial differential operators on h. We further study an algebra Q of quasi-invariant polynomials on h introduced by Chalykh, Feigin, and Veselov [CV], [FV], such that C[h]^W \subset Q \subset C[h]. We prove that the algebra D(Q) of differential operators on quasi-invariants is a simple algebra, Morit…
P. Deligne defined interpolations of the tensor category of representations of the symmetric group S_n to complex values of n. Namely, he defined tensor categories Rep(S_t) for any complex t. This construction was generalized by F. Knop to the case of wreath products of S_n with a finite group. Generalizing these results, we propose a method of interpolating representations categories of various algebras containing S_n (such as degenerate affine Hecke algebras, symplectic reflection algebras, rational Cherednik algebras, etc.) to complex values of n. We also define the group algebra of S_n for…
Basic properties of symplectic reflection algebras over an algebraically closed field k of positive characteristic are laid out. These algebras are always finite modules over their centres, in contrast to the situation in characteristic 0. For the subclass of rational Cherednik algebras, we determine the PI-degree and the Goldie rank, and show that the Azumaya and smooth loci of the centre coincide.

This note consists of two parts. The first part (§1 and §2) is a partial review of the works by van Meer and Stokman (2010), van Meer (2011) and Stokman (2014) which established a bispectral analogue of the Cherednik correspondence between quantum affine Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations and the eigenvalue problems of Macdonald type. In this review we focus on the rank one cases, i.e., on the reduced type $A_1$ and the non-reduced type $(C_1^\vee,C_1)$, to which the associated Macdonald-Koornwinder polynomials are the Rogers polynomials and the Askey-Wilson polynomials, respectively. We give de…
The Dunkl--Dirac operator is a deformation of the Dirac operator by means of Dunkl derivatives. We investigate the symmetry algebra generated by the elements supercommuting with the Dunkl--Dirac operator and its dual symbol. This symmetry algebra is realised inside the tensor product of a Clifford algebra and a rational Cherednik algebra associated with a reflection group or root system. For reducible root systems of rank three, we determine all the irreducible finite-dimensional representations and conditions for unitarity. Polynomial solutions of the Dunkl--Dirac equation are given as a real…
We study the algebraic properties of the five-parameter family $H(t_1,t_2,t_3,t_4;q)$ of double affine Hecke algebras of type $C^\vee C_1$. This family generalizes Cherednik's double affine Hecke algebras of rank 1. It was introduced by Sahi and studied by Noumi and Stokman as an algebraic structure which controls Askey-Wilson polynomials. We show that if $q=1$, then the spectrum of the center of $H$ is an affine cubic surface $C$, obtained from a projective one by removing a triangle consisting of smooth points. Moreover, any such surface is obtained as the spectrum of the center of $H$ for s…
