We construct projective moduli spaces for torsion-free sheaves on noncommutative projective planes. These moduli spaces vary smoothly in the parameters describing the noncommutative plane and have good properties analogous to those of moduli spaces of sheaves over the usual (commutative) projective plane P^2.
The generic noncommutative plane corresponds to the Sklyanin algebra S constructed from an automorphism sigma of infinite order on an elliptic curve E < P^2. In this case, the fine moduli space of line bundles over S with first Chern class zero and Euler characteristic (1-n) provides a symplectic variety that is a deformation of the Hilbert scheme of n points on P^2 - E.
In this work, we introduce the point parameter ring B, a generalized twisted homogeneous coordinate ring associated to a degenerate version of the three-dimensional Sklyanin algebra. The surprising geometry of these algebras yields an analogue to a result of Artin-Tate-van den Bergh, namely that B is generated in degree one and thus is a factor of the corresponding degenerate Sklyanin algebra.
We construct a functor from the category of elliptic curves to a category of noncommutative tori. Our proof is based on an isomorphism between the Sklyanin algebras and dense sub-algebras of the noncommutative tori.
There is an error in the computation of the truncated point schemes of the degenerate Sklyanin algebra S(1, 1, 1); they are larger than was claimed in Proposition 3.13 of the above paper. We provide a description of the correct truncated point schemes. Results about the corresponding point parameter ring associated to these schemes are given afterward.
In this paper we classify graded reflexive ideals, up to isomorphism and shift, in certain three dimensional Artin-Schelter regular algebras. This classification is similar to the classification of right ideals in the first Weyl algebra, a problem that was completely settled recently. The situation we consider is substantially more complicated however.
The representation scheme ${\tt rep}_n A$ of the 3-dimensional Sklyanin algebra $A$ associated to a plane elliptic curve and n-torsion point contains singularities over the augmentation ideal $\mathfrak{m}$. We investigate the semi-stable representations of the noncommutative blow-up algebra $B=A \oplus \mathfrak{m}t \oplus\mathfrak{m}^2 t^2 \oplus ...$ to obtain a partial resolution of the central singularity ${\tt proj} Z(B) \rightarrow {\tt spec} Z(A)$ such that the remaining singularities in the exceptional fiber determine an elliptic curve and are all of type $\mathbb{C} \times \mathbb{C}…
In this paper we study quantum del Pezzo surfaces belonging to a certain class. In particular we introduce the generalised Sklyanin-Painlevé algebra and characterise its PBW/PHS/Koszul properties. This algebra contains as limiting cases the generalised Sklyanin algebra, Etingof-Ginzburg and Etingof-Oblomkov-Rains quantum del Pezzo and the quantum monodromy manifolds of the Painlevé equations.
We consider Sklyanin algebras $S$ with 3 generators, which are quadratic algebras over a field $\K$ with $3$ generators $x,y,z$ given by $3$ relations $pxy+qyx+rzz=0$, $pyz+qzy+rxx=0$ and $pzx+qxz+ryy=0$, where $p,q,r\in\K$. This class of algebras has enjoyed much attention. In particular, using tools from algebraic geometry Artin, Tate and Van Den Berg \cite{ATV2} showed that if at least two of the parameters $p$, $q$ and $r$ are non-zero and at least two of three numbers $p^3$, $q^3$ and $r^3$ are distinct, then $S$ is Artin--Schelter regular. More specifically, $S$ is Koszul and has the sam…
We present the analogue, for an arbitrary complex reductive group G, of the elliptic integrable systems of Sklyanin. The Sklyanin integrable systems were originally constructed on symplectic leaves, of a quadratic Poisson structure, on a loop group of type A. The phase space, of our integrable systems, is a group-like analogue of the Hitchin system over an elliptic curve E. We consider the moduli space of pairs (P,f), where P is a principal G-bundle on E, and f is a meromorphic section of the adjoint group bundle. We show: 1) The moduli space admits an algebraic Poisson structure. It is relate…
In this paper we generalize some classical birational transformations to the non-commutative case. In particular we show that 3-dimensional quadratic Sklyanin algebras (non-commutative projective planes) and 3-dimensional cubic Sklyanin algebras (non-commutative quadrics) have the same function field. In the same vein we construct and analogue of the Cremona transform for non-commutative projective planes.
One of the major open problems in noncommutative algebraic geometry is the classification of noncommutative projective surfaces (or, slightly more generally, of noetherian connected graded domains of Gelfand-Kirillov dimension 3). Earlier work of the authors classified the connected graded noetherian subalgebras of Sklyanin algebras using a noncommutative analogue of blowing up. In order to understand other algebras birational to a Sklyanin algebra, one also needs a notion of blowing down. This is achieved in this paper, where we give a noncommutative analogue of Castelnuovo's classic theorem …
We study different algebraic and geometric properties of Heisenberg invariant Poisson polynomial quadratic algebras. We show that these algebras are unimodular. The elliptic Sklyanin-Odesskii-Feigin Poisson algebras $q_{n,k}(\mathcal E)$ are the main important example. We classify all quadratic $H-$invariant Poisson tensors on ${\mathbb C}^n$ with $n\leq 6$ and show that for $n\leq 5$ they coincide with the elliptic Sklyanin-Odesskii-Feigin Poisson algebras or with their certain degenerations.
We study polynomial Poisson algebras with some regularity conditions. Linear (Lie-Berezin-Kirillov) structures on dual spaces of semi-simple Lie algebras, quadratic Sklyanin elliptic algebras of \cite{FO1},\cite{FO2} as well as polynomial algebras recently described by Bondal-Dubrovin-Ugaglia (\cite{Bondal},\cite{Ug}) belong to this class. We establish some simple determinantal relations between the brackets and Casimirs in this algebras. These relations imply in particular that for Sklyanin elliptic algebras the sum of Casimir degrees coincides with the dimension of the algebra. We are discus…
In the ongoing programme to classify noncommutative projective surfaces (connected graded noetherian domains of Gelfand-Kirillov dimension three) a natural question is to determine the minimal models within any birational class. In this paper we show that the generic noncommutative projective plane (corresponding to the three dimensional Sklyanin algebra R) as well as noncommutative analogues of P^1 x P^1 and of the Hirzebruch surface F_2 (arising from Van den Bergh's quadrics R) satisfy very strong minimality conditions. Translated into an algebraic question, where one is interested in a maxi…
We introduce some new algebraic structures arising naturally in the geometry of Calabi-Yau manifolds and mirror symmetry. We give a universal construction of Calabi-Yau algebras in terms of a noncommutative symplectic DG algebra resolution. In dimension 3, the resolution is determined by a noncommutative potential. Representation varieties of the Calabi-Yau algebra are intimately related to the set of critical points, and to the sheaf of vanishing cycles of the potential. Numerical invariants, like ranks of cyclic homology groups, are expected to be given by `matrix integrals' over representat…
In a previous paper (arXiv:1410.5207) certain birational transformations were constructed between the noncommutative schemes associated to quadratic and cubic three dimensional Sklyanin algebras. In the current paper we consider the inverse birational transformations and show that they are of the same type. Moreover we extend everything to the $\mathbb{Z}$-algebras context, which allows us to incorporate the noncommutative quadrics introduced by Van den Bergh.
We call a graded connected algebra $R$ effectively coherent, if for every linear equation over $R$ with homogeneous coefficients of degrees at most $d$, the degrees of generators of its module of solutions are bounded by some function $D(d)$. For commutative polynomial rings, this property has been established by Hermann in 1926. We establish the same property for several classes of noncommutative algebras, including the most common class of rings in noncommutative projective geometry, that is, strongly Noetherian rings, which includes Noetherian PI algebras and Sklyanin algebras. We extensive…
We study the elliptic algebras $Q_{n,k}(E,τ)$ introduced by Feigin and Odesskii as a generalization of Sklyanin algebras. They form a family of quadratic algebras parametrized by coprime integers $n>k\geq 1$, an elliptic curve $E$, and a point $τ\in E$. We consider and compare several different definitions of the algebras and provide proofs of various statements about them made by Feigin and Odesskii. For example, we show that $Q_{n,k}(E,0)$, and $Q_{n,n-1}(E,τ)$ are polynomial rings on $n$ variables. We also show that $Q_{n,k}(E,τ+ζ)$ is a twist of $Q_{n,k}(E,τ)$ when $ζ$ is an $n$-torsion po…
The goal of this note is to first prove that for a well behaved $\mathbb{Z}^2$-algebra $R$, the category $QGr(R) := Gr(R)/Tors(R)$ is equivalent to $QGr(R_Δ)$ where $R_Δ$ is a diagonal-like sub-$\mathbb{Z}$-algebra of $R$. Afterwards we use this result to prove that the $\mathbb{Z}^2$-algebras as introduced in [ArXiV:1607.08383] are QGr-equivalent to a diagonal-like sub-$\mathbb{Z}$-algebra which is a simultaneous noncommutative blow-up of a quadratic and a cubic Sklyanin algebra. As such we link the noncommutative birational transformation and the associated $\mathbb{Z}^2$-algebras as appeari…
In this paper we review various strikingly parallel algebraic structures behind Hilbert schemes of points on surfaces and certain finite groups called the wreath products. We explain connections among Hilbert schemes, wreath products, infinite-dimensional Lie algebras, and vertex algebras. As an application we further describe the cohomology ring structure of the Hilbert schemes. We organize this exposition around several general principles which have been supported by various works on these subjects.
We show that the Hilbert functor of points on an arbitrary separated algebraic stack is an algebraic space. We also show the algebraicity of the Hilbert stack of points on an algebraic stack and the algebraicity of the Weil restriction of an algebraic stack along a finite flat morphism. For the latter two results, no separation assumptions are necessary.
In this paper we classify symplectic leaves of the regular part of the projectivization of the space of meromorphic endomorphisms of a stable vector bundle on an elliptic curve, using the study of shifted Poisson structures on the moduli of complexes from our previous work \cite{HP17}. This Poisson ind-scheme is closely related to the ind Poisson-Lie group associated to Belavin's elliptic $r$-matrix, studied by Sklyanin, Cherednik and Reyman and Semenov-Tian-Shansky. Our result leads to a classification of symplectic leaves on the regular part of meromorphic matrix algebras over an elliptic cu…
Using the theory infinity-categories we construct derived (dg-)categories of regular, holonomic D-modules and algebraically constructible sheaves on a complex smooth algebraic stack. We construct a natural infinity-categorical equivalence between these two categories generalising the classical Riemann-Hilbert correspondence.
For a finitely generated associative algebra $\cA$ over a commutative ring $k$ we construct the Hilbert scheme ${\bf H}^{[n]}_{\cA}$ which parametrizes left ideals in $\cA$ of codimension $n.$
The quadratic algebras Q_n are associated with pseudo-roots of noncommutative polynomials. We compute the Hilbert series of the algebras Q_n and of the dual quadratic algebras Q_n^!
Given a projetive surface $S$, using correspondences, we construct an infinite dimensional Lie algebra that acts on the direct sum $\Wfock$ of the cohomology groups of the incidence Hilbert schemes $S^{[n,n+1]}$ over all $n$. The algebra is related to an extension of an infinite dimensional Heisenberg algebra. The space $\Wfock$ is a highest weight representation of this algebra. Our result provides a representation-theoretic interpretation of Cheah's generating function of Betti numbers of the incidence Hilbert schemes. As a consequence, an additive basis of the cohomology group of the incide…
This paper is a survey on major results on Hilbert functions of multigraded algebras and mixed multiplicities of ideals, including their applications to the computation of Milnor numbers of complex analytic hypersurfaces with isolated singularity, multiplicities of blowup algebras and mixed volumes of polytopes.
