The relation between crossed product and $H$-Galois extension in braided tensor category ${\cal C}$ with equivalisers and coequivalisers is established. That is, it is shown that if there exist an equivaliser and a coequivaliser for any two morphisms in ${\cal C}$, then $A = B #_σH$ is a crossed product algebra if and only if the extension $A/B$ is Galois, the canonical epic $q: A\otimes A \to A\otimes_B A$ is split and $A$ is isomorphic as left $B$-modules and right $H$-comodules to $B\otimes H$ in ${\cal C}$.
Let $H$ be an infinite-dimensional braided Hopf algebra and assume that the braiding is symmetric on $H$ and its quasi-dual $H^d$. We prove the Blattner-Montgomery duality theorem, namely we prove $$ (R # H)# H^{d} \cong R \otimes (H # H^{d}) \hbox {as algebras in braided tensor category} {\cal C}.$$ In particular, we present two duality theorems for infinite braided Hopf algebras in the Yetter-Drinfeld module category.
We prove the existence of a basis of Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt type for braided Hopf algebras R generated by a braided subspace V of P(R) if the braiding on V fulfils a triangularity condition. We apply our result to pointed Hopf algebras with abelian coradical and to Nichols algebras of low dimensional simple U_q(sl_2) modules.
The notion of a coherent unit action on algebraic operads was first introduced by Loday for binary quadratic nonsymmetric operads and generalized by Holtkamp, to ensure that the free objects of the operads carry a Hopf algebra structure. There was also a classification of such operads in the binary quadratic nonsymmetric case. We generalize the notion of coherent unit action to braided operads and show that free objects of braided operads with such an action carries a braided Hopf algebra structure. Under the conditions of binary, quadratic and nonsymmetric, we give a characterization and clas…
The faithful quasi-dual $H^d$ and strict quasi-dual $H^{d'}$ of an infinite braided Hopf algebra $H$ are introduced and it is proved that every strict quasi-dual $H^{d'}$ is an $H$-Hopf module. The connection between the integrals and the maximal rational $H^{d}$-submodule $H^{d rat}$ of $H^{d}$ is found. That is, $H^{d rat}\cong \int ^l_{H^d} \otimes H$ is proved. The existence and uniqueness of integrals for braided Hopf algebras in the Yetter-Drinfeld category $(^B_B{\cal YD},C)$ are given.
We obtain the double factorization of braided bialgebras or braided Hopf algebras, give relation among integrals and semisimplicity of braided Hopf algebra and its factors.
In braided tensor categories we show the Maschke's theorem and give the necessary and sufficient conditions for double cross biproducts and crossbiproducts and biproducts to be bialgebras. We obtain the factorization theorem for braided Hopf algebras; In symmetric tensor categories, we show the duality theorem and construct quantum double; In ordinary vector space category with ordinary twist, we obtain the relation between the global dimension, the weak dimension, the Jacbson radical, Baer radical of algebra $R$ and its crossed product $R #_σH$. We also give the relation between the decomposi…
Based on a pairing of two regular multiplier Hopf algebras $A$ and $B$, Heisenberg double $\mathscr{H}$ is the smash product $A \# B$ with respect to the left regular action of $B$ on $A$. Let $\mathscr{D}=A\bowtie B$ be the Drinfel'd double, then Heisenberg double $\mathscr{H}$ is a Yetter-Drinfel'd $\mathscr{D}$-module algebra, and it is also braided commutative by the braiding of Yetter-Drinfel'd module, which generalizes the results in [10] to some infinite dimensional cases.
We introduce a family of braided Hopf algebras that generalizes the rank 1 Hopf algebras introduced by Krop anad Radford and we study its cleft extensions
This paper introduces the braidings of dendriform algebras and tridendriform algebras. By studying free braided dendriform algebras, we obtain braidings of the Hopf algebras of Loday and Ronco of planar binary rooted trees. We also give a variation of the braiding of Foissy for the noncommutative Connes-Kreimer (a.k.a the Foissy-Holtkamp) Hopf algebra of planar rooted forests so that the well-known isomorphism between this Hopf algebra and the Loday-Ronco Hopf algebra is extended to the braided context. As free braided tridendriform algebras, we also give braided extension of the Hopf algebra …
Let $\mathcal{C}$ be a finite braided multitensor category. Let $B$ be Majid's automorphism braided group of $\mathcal{C}$, then $B$ is a cocommutative Hopf algebra in $\mathcal{C}$. We show that the center of $\mathcal{C}$ is isomorphic to the category of left $B$-comodules in $\mathcal{C}$, and the decomposition of $B$ into a direct sum of indecomposable $\mathcal{C}$-subcoalgebras leads to a decomposition of $B$-$\operatorname*{Comod}_{\mathcal{C}}$ into a direct sum of indecomposable $\mathcal{C}$-module subcategories. As an application, we present an explicit characterization of the struc…
We introduce the concept of Hopf-Galois system, a reformulation of the notion of Galois extension of the base field for a Hopf algebra. The main feature of our definition is a generalization of the antipode of an ordinary Hopf algebra. The main application of Hopf-Galois systems is the construction of monoidal equivalences between comodule categories over Hopf algebras.
In this paper, we generalizing the main result in Liu[10] to weak Hopf coquasigroups case. We first define and study group-cograded weak Hopf quasigroups, which generalize both group-cograded Hopf quasigroups and weak Hopf group-coalgebras. Then we introduce the notion of p-Yetter-Drinfeld weak quasimodule over group-cograded weak Hopf quasigroups H. If the antipode of H is bijective, we show that the category YDWQ(H) of Yetter-Drinfeld weak quasimodules over H is a crossed category, and the subcategory YD(H) of Yetter-Drinfeld modules is a braided crossed category.
This article is made up with two parts. In the first part, we generalize to the case when objects are faithfully flat over the ground ring, the full equivalence between the notions of Hopf-Galois extension and Hopf-Galois system. In the second part of the article, we show that the Kashiwara algebras introduced by Kashiwara in his study of crystal bases are Hopf-Galois objects.
Let $H$ be a Hopf algebra. Ju and Cai introduced the notion of twisting of an $H$-module coalgebra. In this note, we study the relationship between twistings, crossed coproducts and Hopf-Galois coextensions. In particular, we show that a twisting of an $H$-Galois coextension remains $H$-Galois if the twisting is invertible.
We introduce partial (co)actions of a Hopf algebra $H$ on an algebra. To this end, we introduce first the notion of lax coring, generalizing Wisbauer's notion of weak coring. We also have the dual notion of lax ring. Several duality results are given, and we develop Galois theory for partial $H$-comodule algebras.
Let $(H,\a_H)$ be a Hom-Hopf algebra, $(A,\a_A)$ a right $H$-comodule algebra and $(C,\a_C)$ a left $H$-module coalgebra. Then we have the category $_A\mathcal{M}(H)^C$ of Hom-type Doi-Hopf modules. The aim of this paper is to make the category $_A\mathcal{M}(H)^C$ into a braided monoidal category. Our construction unifies quasitriangular and coquasitriangular Hom-Hopf algebras and Hom-Yetter-Drinfeld modules. We study tensor identities for monoidal categories of Hom-type Doi-Hopf modules. Finally we show that the category $_A\mathcal{M}(H)^C$ is isomorphic to $A\#C^*$-module category.
We provide necessary and sufficient conditions to extend the Hopf-Galois algebra structure on an algebra R to a generalized ambiskew ring based on R, in a way such that the added variables for the extension are skew-primitive in an appropriate sense. We show that the associated Hopf algebra is again a a generalized ambiskew ring, based on a suitable Hopf algebra H(R). Several examples are examined, including the Hopf-Galois objects over Uq(sl2).
This paper introduces group-cograded monoidal Hom-Hopf algebras, and shows that this kind of group-cograded monoidal Hom-Hopf algebras are monoidal Hom-Hopf algebras in the Turaev category $\mathcal{J}_{k}$ introduced by Canepeel and De Lombaerde. Then we define the $p$-Yetter-Drinfeld category over a group-cograded monoidal Hom-Hopf algebra, and construct a new kind of braided $T$-categories.
Let $ Aut_{mHH}(H)$ denote the set of all automorphisms of a monoidal Hopf algebra $H$ with bijective antipode in the sense of Caenepeel and Goyvaerts \cite{CG2011}. The main aim of this paper is to provide new examples of braided $T$-category in the sense of Turaev \cite{T2008}. For this, first we construct a monoidal Hom-Hopf $T$-coalgebra $\mathcal{MHD}(H)$ and prove that the $T$-category $Rep(\mathcal{MHD}(H))$ of representation of $\mathcal{MHD}(H)$ is isomorphic to $\mathcal {MHYD}(H)$ as braided $T$-categories, if $H$ is finite-dimensional. Then we construct a new braided $T$-category $…
We investigate criteria for algebra extensions that are of Galois type with respect to the coaction of a Hopf algebra or, more generally, a one-sided quotient of a Hopf algebra, or with respect to an entwining. We study the module- and comodule-theoretical properties of such extensions.
We study Galois extensions Coinv(M)<M for M an H-comodule algebra and H a Frobenius Hopf algebroid. We obtain generalizations of various theorems in Hopf-Galois theory by Kreimer-Takeuchi, Doi-Takeuchi and Cohen-Fischman-Montgomery. An algebra extension is Galois precisely if it is balanced, depth 2, and Frobenius. Then we show that Yetter-Drinfeld categories over H are always braided and their braided commutative algebras play the role of noncommutative scalar extensions by the Brzezinski-Militaru Theorem. Contravariant "fiber functors" are used to prove an analogue of Ulbrich's Theorem and t…
We introduce the concept of homotopy equivalence for Hopf Galois extensions and make a systematic study of it. As an application we determine all H-Galois extensions up to homotopy equivalence in the case when H is a Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum group.
Let $S$ be the left $R$-bialgebroid of a depth two extension with centralizer $R$ as defined in math.QA/0108067. We show that the left endomorphism ring of depth two extension, not necessarily balanced, is a left $S$-Galois extension of $A^{\rm op}$. Looking to examples of depth two, we establish that a Hopf subalgebra is normal if and only if it is a Hopf-Galois extension. We find a class of examples of the alternative Hopf algebroids in math.QA/0302325. We also characterize finite weak Hopf-Galois extensions using an alternate Galois canonical mapping with several corollaries: that these are…
We define comodule algebras and Galois extensions for actions of bialgebroids. Using just module conditions we characterize the Frobenius extensions that are Galois as depth two and right balanced extensions. As a corollary, we obtain characterizations of certain weak and ordinary Hopf-Galois extensions without reference to action in the hypothesis.
Let $V$ be a linear space over a field ${\bf k}$ with a braiding $τ: V\otimes V\rightarrow V\otimes V.$ We prove that the braiding $τ$ has a unique extension on the free nonassociative algebra ${\bf k}\{V\}$ freely generated by $V$ so that ${\bf k}\{V\}$ is a braided algebra. Moreover, we prove that the free braided algebra ${\bf k}\{V\}$ has a natural structure of a braided nonassociative Hopf algebra such that every element of the space of generators $V$ is primitive. In the case of involutive braidings, $τ^2={\rm id}$, we describe braided analogues of Shestakov-Umirbaev operations and prove…
A coaction of a Hopf algebra on a unital algebra is called homogeneous if the algebra of coinvariants equals the ground field. A coaction of a Hopf algebra on a (not necessarily unital) algebra is called Galois, or principal, or free, if the canonical map, also known as the Galois map, is bijective. In this paper, we establish a duality between a particular class of homogeneous coactions, up to equivariant Morita equivalence, and Galois coactions, up to isomorphism.
A pseudo-Galois extension is shown to be a depth two extension. Studying its left bialgebroid, we construct an enveloping Hopf algebroid for the semi-direct product of groups, or more generally involutive Hopf algebras, and their module algebras. It is a type of cofibered sum of two inclusions of the Hopf algebra into the semi-direct product and its derived right crossed product. Van Oystaeyen and Panaite observe that this Hopf algebroid is non-trivially isomorphic to a Connes-Moscovici Hopf algebroid, which raises interesting comparative questions.
We describe the Galois objects and biGalois groups of monomial nonsemisimple Hopf algebras. The main feature of our description is the use of modified versions of the second cohomology group of the grouplike elements. These computations generalize the previous ones of Masuoka and Schauenburg for the Taft algebras.
We first introduce the notion of Doi Hom-Hopf modules and find the sufficient condition for the category of Doi Hom-Hopf modules to be monoidal. Also we obtain the condition for the monoidal Hom-algebra and monoidal Hom-coalgebra to be monoidal Hom-bialgebras. Second, we give the maps between the underlying monoidal Hom-Hopf algebras, Hom-comodule algebras and Hom-module coalgebras give rise to functors between the category of Doi Hom-Hopf modules and study tensor identities for monodial categories of Doi Hom-Hopf modules. Furthermore, we construct a braiding on the category of Doi Hom-Hopf mo…
Let $ Aut_{mHH}(H)$ denote a set of all automorphisms of a monoidal Hopf algebra $H$ with bijective antipode in the sense of Caenepeel S. and Goyvaerts I. (Commun. Algebra 39, 2216-2240, 2011) and let $G$ be a crossed product group $ Aut_{mHH}(H)\times Aut_{mHH}(H)$. The main aim of this paper is to provide further examples of braided $T$-category in the sense of Turaev (1994, 2008). For this purpose, we first introduce a class of new categories $_{H}\mathcal {MHYD}^{H}(A, B)$ of monoidal Hom $(A, B)$-Yetter-Drinfeld modules with $A, B \in Aut_{mHH}(H)$. Then we show that the category ${\cal M…
We investigate the theory of Hopf-Galois extensions for monoidal Hom-Hopf algebras. As the main result of this paper, we prove the Schneider's affineness theorems in the case of monoidal Hom-Hopf algebras in terms of the theory of the total integral and Hom-Hopf Galois extensions. In addition, we obtain the affineness criterion for relative Hom-Hopf module associated with faithfully flat Hom-Hopf Galois extensions.
By using the language of cogroupoids, we show that Hopf-Galois objects of a twisted Calabi-Yau Hopf algebra with bijective antipode are still twisted Calabi-Yau, and give their Nakayama automorphism explicitly. As applications, cleft Galois objects of twisted Calabi-Yau Hopf algebras and Hopf-Galois objects of the quantum automorphism groups of non-degenerate bilinear forms are proved to be twisted Calabi-Yau.
We develop Hopf-Galois theory for weak Hopf algebras, and recover analogs of classical results for Hopf algebras. Our methods are based on the recently introduced Galois theory for corings. We focus on the situatation where the weak Hopf algebra is a groupoid algebra or its dual. We obtain weak versions of strongly graded rings, and classical Galois extensions.
Let $L/F$ be a Galois extension of fields with Galois group isomorphic to the quaternion group of order $ 8 $. We describe all of the Hopf-Galois structures admitted by $ L/F $, and determine which of the Hopf algebras that appear are isomorphic as Hopf algebras. In the case that $ F $ has characteristic zero we also determine which of these Hopf algebras are isomorphic as $ F $-algebras and explicitly compute their Wedderburn-Artin decompositions.
We describe and study a four parameters deformation of the two products and the coproduct of the Hopf algebra of plane posets. We obtain a family of braided Hopf algebras, generally self-dual. We also prove that in a particular case (when the second parameter goes to zero and the first and third parameters are equal), this deformation is isomorphic, as a self-dual braided Hopf algebra, to a deformation of the Hopf algebra of free quasi-symmetric functions.
For a quasi-triangular Hopf algebra $\left( H,R\right) $, there is a notion of transmuted braided group $H_{R}$ of $H$ introduced by Majid. The transmuted braided group $H_{R}$ is a Hopf algebra in the braided category $_{H}\mathcal{M}$. The $R$-adjoint-stable algebra associated with any simple left $H_{R}$-comodule is defined by the authors, and is used to characterize the structure of all irreducible Yetter-Drinfeld modules in ${}_{H}^{H} \mathcal{YD}$. In this note, we prove for a semisimple factorizable Hopf algebra $ \left( H,R\right) $ that any simple subcoalgebra of $H_R$ is $H$-stable …
Let $H_1$ and $H_2$ be Hopf algebras which are not necessarily finite dimensional and $α,β\in Aut_{Hopf}(H_1), γ,δ\in Aut_{Hopf}(H_2)$. In this paper, we introduce a category ${}_{H_1}\mathcal{LR}_{H_2}(α, β, γ, δ)$, generalizing Yetter-Drinfeld-Long bimodules and construct a braided $T$-category $\mathcal{LR}(H_1,H_2)$ containing all the categories $_{H_1}\mathcal{LR}_{H_2}(α, β, γ, δ)$ as components. We also prove that if $(α, β, γ, δ)$ admits a quadruple in involution, then ${}_{H_1}\mathcal{LR}_{H_2}(α, β, γ, δ)$ is isomorphic to the usual category ${}_{H_1}\mathcal{LR}_{H_2}$ of Yetter-Dr…
Let $L/K$ be a finite Galois extension of fields with group $Γ$. When $Γ$ is nilpotent, we show that the problem of enumerating all nilpotent Hopf-Galois structures on $L/K$ can be reduced to the corresponding problem for the Sylow subgroups of $Γ$. We use this to enumerate all nilpotent (resp. abelian) Hopf-Galois structures on a cyclic extension of arbitrary finite degree. When $Γ$ is abelian, we give conditions under which every abelian Hopf-Galois structure on $L/K$ has type $Γ$. We also give a criterion on $n$ such that \emph{every} Hopf-Galois structure on a cyclic extension of degree $n…
We study the question of the surjectivity of the Galois correspondence from subHopf algebras to subfields given by the Fundamental Theorem of Galois Theory for abelian Hopf Galois structures on a Galois extension of fields with Galois group G', a finite abelian p-group. Applying the connection between regular subgroups of the holomorph of a finite abelian p-group (G, +) and associative, commutative nilpotent algebra structures A on (G, +) of Caranti, et. al., we show that if A gives rise to a H-Hopf Galois structure on L/K, then the K-subHopf algebras of H correspond to the ideals of A. Among …
Let $H$ be a Hopf algebra, and $A,B$ be $H$-Galois extensions. We investigate the category ${}_A\mathcal{M}_B^H$ of relative Hopf bimodules, and the Morita equivalences between $A$ and $B$ induced by them.
Let H be a cocommutative faithfully flat Hopf quasigroup in a strict symmetric monoidal category with equalizers. In this paper we introduce the notion of (strong) Galois H-object and we prove that the set of isomorphism classes of (strong) Galois H-objects is a (group) monoid which coincides, in the Hopf algebra setting, with the Galois group of H-Galois objects introduced by Chase and Sweedler.
Let $H$ be a finite Hopf algebra with $C_{H,H} = C_{H,H}^{-1}.$ The duality theorem is shown for $H$, i.e., $$ (R # H)# H^{\hat *} \cong R \otimes (H \bar \otimes H^{\hat *}) \hbox {as algebras in} {\cal C}.$$ Also, it is proved that the Drinfeld double $(D(H),[b])$ is a quasi-triangular Hopf algebra in ${\cal C}$.
Let $K$ be a finite field extension of $\Q$ and let $N$ be a finite group with automorphism group $F=\Aut(N)$. R. Haggenmüller and B. Pareigis have shown that there is a bijection \[Θ: {\mathcal Gal}(K,F)\rightarrow {\mathcal Hopf}(K[N])\] from the collection of $F$-Galois extensions of $K$ to the collection of Hopf forms of the group ring $K[N]$. For $N=C_n$, $n\ge 1$, $C_p^m$, $p$ prime, $m\ge 1$, and $N=D_3,D_4,Q_8$, we show that $\Q[N]$ admits an absolutely semisimple Hopf form $H$ and find $L$ for which $Θ(L)=H$. Moreover, if $H$ is the Hopf algebra given by a Hopf-Galois structure on a G…
We associate two linear categories with two objects to a module over the subalgebra of coinvariants of a Hopf-Galois extension, and prove that they are isomorphic. The structure Theorem for cleft extensions, and the Militaru \cStefan lifting Theorem can be obtained using these isomorphisms.
Let $H$ be a dual quasi-Hopf algebra. In this paper we will firstly introduce all possible categories of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over $H$, and give explicitly the monoidal and braided structure of them. Then we prove that the category $^H_H\mathcal{YD}^{fd}$ of finite-dimensional left-left Yetter-Drinfeld modules is rigid. Finally we will study the braided cocommunitivity of $H_0$ in $^H_H\mathcal{YD}$.
Let $L/K$ be a Galois extension of fields with Galois group $Γ$, and suppose $L/K$ is also an $H$-Hopf Galois extension. Using the recently uncovered connection between Hopf Galois structures and skew left braces, we introduce a method to quantify the failure of surjectivity of the Galois correspondence from subHopf algebras of $H$ to intermediate subfields of $L/K$, given by the Fundamental Theorem of Hopf Galois Theory. Suppose $L \otimes_K H = LN$ where $N \cong (G, \star)$. Then there exists a skew left brace $(G, \star, \circ)$ where $(G, \circ) \cong Γ$. We show that there is a bijective…
Let $(H,α)$ be a monoidal Hom-Hopf algebra and $^{H}_{H}\mathcal{HYD}$ the Hom-Yetter-Drinfeld category over $(H,α)$. Then in this paper, we first introduce the definition of braided Hom-Lie algebras and show that each monoidal Hom-algebra in $^{H}_{H}\mathcal{HYD}$ gives rise to a braided Hom-Lie algebra. Second, we prove that if $(A,β)$ is a sum of two $H$-commutative monoidal Hom-subalgebras, then the commutator Hom-ideal $[A,A]$ of $A$ is nilpotent. Also, we study the central invariant of braided Hom-Lie algebras as a generalization of generalized Lie algebras. Finally, we obtain a constru…
Let $n$ be a squarefree natural number, and let $G$, $Γ$ be two groups of order $n$. We determine the number of Hopf-Galois structures of type $G$ admitted by a Galois extension of fields with Galois group isomorphic to $Γ$. We give some examples, including a full treatment of the case where $n$ is the product of three primes.
In Hopf-Galois theory, every $H$-Hopf-Galois structure on a field extension $K/k$ gives rise to an injective map $\mathcal{F}$ from the set of $k$-sub-Hopf algebras of $H$ into the intermediate fields of $K/k$. Recent papers on the failure of the surjectivity of $\mathcal{F}$ reveal that there exist many Hopf-Galois structures for which there are many more subfields than sub-Hopf algebras. This paper surveys and illustrates group-theoretical methods to determine $H$-Hopf-Galois structures on finite separable extensions in the extreme situation when $H$ has only two sub-Hopf algebras.
We investigate Hopf-Galois structures on a cyclic field extension $L/K$ of squarefree degree $n$. By a result of Greither and Pareigis, each such Hopf-Galois structure corresponds to a group of order $n$, whose isomorphism class we call the type of the Hopf-Galois structure. We show that every group of order $n$ can occur, and we determine the number of Hopf-Galois structures of each type. We then express the total number of Hopf-Galois structures on $L/K$ as a sum over factorisations of $n$ into three parts. As examples, we give closed expressions for the number of Hopf-Galois structures on a…
Let $H$ be a Hopf algebra, and $A$ an $H$-Galois extension. We investigate $H$-Morita autoequivalences of $A$, introduce the concept of $H$-Picard group, and we establish an exact sequence linking the $H$-Picard group of $A$ and the Picard group of $A^{{\rm co}H}$.
Let $L/K$ be a finite Galois extension of fields with group $Γ$. Associated to each Hopf-Galois structure on $L/K$ is a group $G$ of the same order as the Galois group $Γ$. The type of the Hopf-Galois structure is by definition the isomorphism type of $G$. We investigate the extent to which general properties of either of the groups $Γ$ and $G$ constrain those of the other. Specifically, we show that if $G$ is nilpotent then $Γ$ is soluble, and that if $Γ$ is abelian then $G$ is soluble. The proof of the latter result depends on the classification of finite simple groups. In contrast to these …
