In this paper we prove the Kazhdan-Lusztig type character formula for irreducible highest weight modules with positive rational highest weights over symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie algebras.

We give a new proof of the "super Kazhdan-Lusztig conjecture" for the Lie super algebra $\mathfrak{gl}_{n|m}(\mathbb{C})$ as formulated originally by the first author. We also prove for the first time that any integral block of category O for $\mathfrak{gl}_{n|m}(\mathbb{C})$ (and also all of its parabolic analogs) possesses a graded version which is Koszul. Our approach depends crucially on an application of the uniqueness of tensor product categorifications established recently by the second two authors.

We develop an algorithm for computing affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials, for all Lie types. This generalizes our previously published algorithm for type A, which in turn is a faster version of an algorithm due to Lascouz, Leclerc and Thibon (proposed in the setting of Hecke algebras of type A, at roots of unity.)
We establish a direct connection between the representation theories of Lie algebras and Lie superalgebras (of type A) via Fock space reformulations of their Kazhdan-Lusztig theories. We incorporate a category of certain modules for an affine Lie algebra, of a certain fixed non-positive-integral level, considered by Kazhdan and Lusztig, into the representation theory of vertex operator algebras, by using the logarithmic tensor product theory for generalized modules for a vertex operator algebra developed by Huang, Lepowsky and the author. We define algebraic group analogues of the Slodowy transversal slices to adjoint orbits in a complex semisimple Lie algebra g. The new slices are transversal to the conjugacy classes in an algebraic group G with Lie algebra g. These slices are associated to (the conjugacy classes of) elements s of the Weyl group W of g. For such slices we prove an analogue of the Kostant cross-section theorem for the action of a unipotent group.
The aim of this paper is to generalize several aspects of the recent work of Leclerc-Thibon and Varagnolo-Vasserot on the canonical bases of the level 1 q-deformed Fock spaces due to Hayashi. Namely, we define canonical bases for the higher-level q-deformed Fock spaces of Jimbo-Misra-Miwa-Okado and establish a relation between these bases and (parabolic) Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials for the affine Weyl group of type $A^{(1)}_{r-1}.$ As an application we derive an inversion formula for a sub-family of these polynomials. We introduce the notion of quantum Schur (or $q$-Schur) superalgebras. These algebras share certain nice properties with $q$-Schur algebras such as base change property, existence of canonical $\mathbb Z[v,v^{-1}]$-bases, and the duality relation with quantum matrix superalgebra $\sA(m|n)$. We also construct a cellular $\mathbb Q(\up)$-basis and determine its associated cells, called super-cells, in terms of a Robinson--Schensted--Knuth super-correspondence. In this way, we classify all irreducible representations over $\mathbb Q(\up)$ via super-cell modules.
In this paper we show that the Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials (and, more generally, parabolic KL polynomials) for the group $S_n$ coincide with the coefficients of the canonical basis in $n$th tensor power of the fundamental representation of the quantum group $U_q sl_k$. We also use known results about canonical bases for $U_q sl_2$ to get a new proof of recurrent formulas for KL polynomials for maximal parabolic subgroups (geometrically, this case corresponds to Grassmanians), due to Lascoux-Schutzenberger and Zelevinsky.
We study the representation theory of finite W-algebras. After introducing parabolic subalgebras to describe the structure of W-algebras, we define the Verma modules and give a conjecture for the Kac determinant. This allows us to find the completely degenerate representations of the finite W-algebras.
