We investigate the compatibility of the set of fully commutative elements of a Coxeter group with the various types of Kazhdan-Lusztig cells using a canonical basis for a generalized version of the Temperley-Lieb algebra.
The aim of this paper is to generalize several aspects of the recent work of Leclerc-Thibon and Varagnolo-Vasserot on the canonical bases of the level 1 q-deformed Fock spaces due to Hayashi. According to Kazhdan-Lusztig and Ginzburg, the Hecke algebra of an affine Weyl group is identified with the equivariant $K$-group of Steinberg's triple variety. The $K$-group is equipped with a filtration indexed by closed $G$-stable subvarieties of the nilpotent variety, where $G$ is the corresponding reductive algebraic group over $\mathbb{C}$. In this paper we will show in the case of type $A$ that the filtration is compatible with the Kazhdan-Lusztig basis of the Hecke algebra.
We show a precise formula, in the form of a monomial, for certain families of parabolic Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials of the symmetric group. The proof stems from results of Lapid-Minguez on irreducibility of products in the Bernstein-Zelevinski ring. In the framework of canonical and dual canonical bases of Fock spaces, Brundan in 2003 formulated a Kazhdan-Lusztig type conjecture for the characters of the irreducible and tilting modules in the BGG category for the general linear Lie superalgebra for the first time. In this paper, we prove Brundan's conjecture and its variants associated to all Borel subalgebras in full generality.

We develop an algorithm for computing affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials, for all Lie types. This generalizes our previously published algorithm for type A, which in turn is a faster version of an algorithm due to Lascouz, Leclerc and Thibon (proposed in the setting of Hecke algebras of type A, at roots of unity.)
In this paper we show that the Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials (and, more generally, parabolic KL polynomials) for the group $S_n$ coincide with the coefficients of the canonical basis in $n$th tensor power of the fundamental representation of the quantum group $U_q sl_k$. We also use known results about canonical bases for $U_q sl_2$ to get a new proof of recurrent formulas for KL polynomials for maximal parabolic subgroups (geometrically, this case corresponds to Grassmanians), due to Lascoux-Schutzenberger and Zelevinsky.

We study the representation theory of finite W-algebras. After introducing parabolic subalgebras to describe the structure of W-algebras, we define the Verma modules and give a conjecture for the Kac determinant. This allows us to find the completely degenerate representations of the finite W-algebras. To extract the irreducible representations we analyse the structure of singular and subsingular vectors, and find that for W-algebras, in general the maximal submodule of a Verma module is not generated by singular vectors only. We give a new proof of the "super Kazhdan-Lusztig conjecture" for the Lie super algebra $\mathfrak{gl}_{n|m}(\mathbb{C})$ as formulated originally by the first author. We also prove for the first time that any integral block of category O for $\mathfrak{gl}_{n|m}(\mathbb{C})$ (and also all of its parabolic analogs) possesses a graded version which is Koszul. Our approach depends crucially on an application of the uniqueness of tensor product categorifications established recently by the second two authors.

We define algebraic group analogues of the Slodowy transversal slices to adjoint orbits in a complex semisimple Lie algebra g. The new slices are transversal to the conjugacy classes in an algebraic group G with Lie algebra g. These slices are associated to (the conjugacy classes of) elements s of the Weyl group W of g.
