We construct a vertex representation for the quantum toroidal algebra through the quantum general linear algebra. Using a new realization of the quantum general linear algebra we construct vertex operators for root vectors on the basic representation of the affine Lie algebra $gl_n$ and show that the simple generators give rise a realization of the quantum toroidal algebra with two parameters.
In this paper, we extend the generalization of Drinfeld realization of quantum affine algebras to quantum affine superalgebras with its Drinfeld comultiplication and its Hopf algebra structure, which depends on a function $g(z)$ satisfying the relation: $g(z)=g(z^{-1})^{-1}.$ In particular, we present the Drinfeld realization of $U_q(\hat {\frak osp}(1,2))$ and its Serre relations.
This is an extension of quantum spinor construction of $U_q(\hat {\frak gl}(n))$. We define quantum affine Clifford algebras based on the tensor category and the solutions of q-KZ equations, and construct quantum spinor representations of $U_q(\hat{\frak o}(N))$.
Let $\hat{\frak g}$ be an untwisted affine Kac-Moody algebra. The quantum group $U_h(\hat{\frak g})$ (over $\mathbb{C}[[h]]$) is known to be a quasitriangular Hopf algebra: in particular, it has a universal $ R $--matrix, which yields an $ R $--matrix for each pair of representations of $U_h(\hat{\frak g})$. On the other hand, the quantum group $U_q(\hat{\frak g})$ (over $\mathbb{C}(q) $) also has an $ R $--matrix for each pair of representations, but it has not a universal $ R $--matrix so that one cannot say that it is quasitriangular. Following Reshetikin, one introduces the (weaker) notion…
A level-one representation of the quantum affine superalgebra $\U_q(\hat{\frak{sl}}(M+1|N+1))$ and vertex operators associated with the fundamental representations are constructed in terms of free bosonic fields. Character formulas of level-one irreducible highest weight modules of $\U_q(\hat{\frak{sl}}(2|1))$ are conjectured.
For the simple Lie algebra $ \frak{so}_m$, we study the commutant vertex operator algebra of $ L_{\hat{\frak{so}}_{m}}(n,0)$ in the $n$-fold tensor product $ L_{\hat{\frak{so}}_{m}}(1,0)^{\otimes n}$. It turns out that this commutant vertex operator algebra can be realized as a fixed point subalgebra of $L_{\hat{\frak{so}}_{n}}(m,0)$ (or its simple current extension) associated with a certain abelian group. This result may be viewed as a version of level-rank duality.
We construct a commutative current operator $\bar x^+(z)$ inside $U_q(\hat{\frak sl}(2))$. With this operator and the condition of quantum integrability on the quantum current of $U_q(\hat{\frak sl}(2))$, we derive the quantization of the semi-infinite construction of integrable modules of $\hat{\frak sl}(2)$ with the current operator $e(z)$ of $\hat{\frak sl}(2)$. The quantization of the functional models for $\hat{\frak sl}(2)$ are also given.
In this paper, we continue the study on toroidal vertex algebras initiated in \cite{LTW}, to study concrete toroidal vertex algebras associated to toroidal Lie algebra $L_{r}(\hat{\frak{g}})=\hat{\frak{g}}\otimes L_r$, where $\hat{\frak{g}}$ is an untwisted affine Lie algebra and $L_r=$\mathbb{C}[t_{1}^{\pm 1},\ldots,t_{r}^{\pm 1}]$. We first construct an $(r+1)$-toroidal vertex algebra $V(T,0)$ and show that the category of restricted $L_{r}(\hat{\frak{g}})$-modules is canonically isomorphic to that of $V(T,0)$-modules.Let $c$ denote the standard central element of $\hat{\frak{g}}$ and set $S…
This is an extension of quantum spinor construction in \cite{DF2}. We define quantum affine Clifford algebras based on the tensor category and the solutions of q-KZ equations, construct quantum spinor representations of $U_q(\hat{\frak gl}(n))$ and explain classical and quantum boson-fermion correspondence.
For the Klein group $K$, $k\in\mathbb{Z}_{\geqslant 1}$ and $m\in\mathbb{Z}_{\geqslant 4}$, we study the representations of the orbifold vertex operator algebra $L_{\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_2}}(k,0)^{K}$ and the commutant vertex operator algebra of $L_{\hat{\mathfrak{so}_m}}(3,0)$ in $L_{\hat{\mathfrak{so}_m}}(1,0)^{\otimes 3}$ which can be realized as the orbifold vertex operator subalgebra $L_{\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_2}}(2m,0)^{K}$ or its extension. All the irreducible modules for $L_{\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_2}}(k,0)^{K}$ and $C_{{L_{\hat{\mathfrak{so}_m}}(1,0)}^{\otimes 3}}({L_{\hat{\mathfrak{so}_m}}(3,0)}…
(1) Utilizing a Braid group action on a completion of U_q(\hat{sl_{n+1}}), an algebra homomorphism from the toroidal algebra U_q(sl_{n+1,tor}) (n\ge 2) with fixed parameter to a completion of U_q(\hat{gl_{n+1}}) is obtained. (2) The toroidal actions by Saito induces a level 0 U'_q(\hat{sl_{n+1}}) action on level 1 integrable highest weight modules of U_q(\hat{sl_{n+1}}). Another level 0 U'_q(\hat{sl_{n+1}}) action is defined by Jimbo, et al., in the case n=1. Using the fact that the intertwiners of U_q(\hat{sl_{n+1}}) modules are intertwiners of toroidal modules for an appropriate comultiplica…
Let ${\boldsymbol{\mathfrak D}_{\vartriangle}}(n)$ be the double Ringel--Hall algebra of the cyclic quiver $\triangle(n)$ and let $\dot{\boldsymbol{\mathfrak D}_{\vartriangle}}(n)$ be the modified quantum affine algebra of ${\boldsymbol{\mathfrak D}_{\vartriangle}}(n)$. We will construct an integral form $\dot{{\mathfrak D}_{\vartriangle}}(n)$ for $\dot{\boldsymbol{\mathfrak D}_{\vartriangle}}(n)$ such that the natural algebra homomorphism from $\dot{{\mathfrak D}_{\vartriangle}}(n)$ to the integral affine quantum Schur algebra is surjective. Furthermore, we will use Hall algebras to construct…
In this paper, we establish the connection between the quantized W-algebra of ${\frak sl}(2,1)$ and quantum parafermions of $U_q(\hat {\frak sl}(2))$ that a shifted product of the two quantum parafermions of $U_q(\hat {\frak sl}(2))$ generates the quantized W-algebra of ${\frak sl}(2,1)$.
The following integrability theorem for vertex operator algebras V satisfying some finiteness conditions(C_2-cofinite and CFT-type) is proved: the vertex operator subalgebra generated by a simple Lie subalgebra {\frak g} of the weight one subspace V_1 is isomorphic to the irreducible highest weight \hat{\frak g}-module L(k, 0) for a positive integer k, and V is an integrable \hat{\frak g}-module. The case in which {\frak g} is replaced by an abelian Lie subalgebra is also considered, and several consequences of integrability are discussed.
In the first part of the paper we give the denominator identity for all simple finite-dimensional Lie super algebras $\frak g\/$ with a non-degenerate invariant bilinear form. We give also a character and (super) dimension formulas for all finite-dimensional irreducible $\frak g\/$-modules of atypicality $\leq 1\/$ . In the second part of the paper we give the denominator identity for the affine superalgebras $\hat{\frak g}\/$ associated to $\frak g\/$. Specializations of this identity give almost all old and many new formulas for the number of representations of an integer as sums of squares …
For the current realization of the affine quantum groups, a simple comultiplication for the quantum current operators was given by Drinfeld. With this comultiplication, we study the zeros and poles of the quantum current operators and present a condition of integrability on the quantum current of $U_q\left(\hat{\frak sl}(2)\right)$, which is a deformation of the corresponding condition for $\hat{\frak sl}(2)$. We also present the results about the zeros and poles of the quantum current operators of $U_q\left(\hat{\frak sl}(n)\right)$.
In this paper, we investigate the structure and representations of the quantum group ${\mathbf{U}(\infty)}=\mathbf U_\upsilon(\frak{gl}_\infty)$. We will present a realization for $\mathbf{U}(\infty)$, following Beilinson--Lusztig--MacPherson (BLM) \cite{BLM}, and show that the natural algebra homomorphism $ζ_r$ from $\mathbf{U}(\infty)$ to the infinite $q$-Schur algebra ${\boldsymbol{\mathcal S}}(\infty,r)$ is not surjective for any $r\geq 1$. We will give a BLM type realization for the image $\mathbf{U}(\infty,r):=ζ_r(\mathbf{U}(\infty))$ and discuss its presentation in terms of generators a…
For the current realization of the affine quantum groups, a simple comultiplication for the quantum current operators was given by Drinfeld. With this comultiplication, we prove that, for the integrable modules of $U_q(\hat {\frak sl}(2))$ of level $k+1$, $x^\pm(z)x^\pm(zq^{\pm 2}) \cdot\cdot\cdot x^\pm(zq^{\pm 2k})$ are vertex operators satisfying certain q-difference equations, and we derive the quantum parafermions of $U_q(\hat {\frak sl}(2))$.
Recently Varagnolo and Vasserot established that the q-deformed Fock spaces due to Hayashi, and Kashiwara, Miwa and Stern, admit actions of the quantum toroidal algebra $U_q(sl_n,tor)$ (n > 2) with the level (0,1). In the present article we propose a more detailed proof of this fact then the one given by Varagnolo and Vasserot. The proof is based on certain non-trivial properties of Cherednik's commuting difference operators. The quantum toroidal action on the Fock space depends on a certain parameter. We find that with a specific choice of this parameter the action on the Fock spaces gives ri…
In this note we consider the algebra $U_q(\hat{sl}_\infty)$ and we study the category O of its integrable representations. The main motivations are applications to quantum toroidal algebras, more precisely predictions of character formulae for representations of quantum toroidal algebras. In this context, we state a general positivity conjecture for representations of $U_q(\hat{sl}_\infty)$ viewed as representations of quantum toroidal algebras, that we prove for Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules.
We introduce an analogue of the $q$-Schur algebra associated to Coxeter systems of type $\hat A_{n-1}$. We give two constructions of this algebra. The first construction realizes the algebra as a certain endomorphism algebra arising from an affine Hecke algebra of type $\hat A_{r-1}$, where $n \geq r$. This generalizes the original $q$-Schur algebra as defined by Dipper and James, and the new algebra contains the ordinary $q$-Schur algebra and the affine Hecke algebra as subalgebras. Using this approach we can prove a double centralizer property. The second construction realizes the affine $q$…
We construct by fusion product new irreducible representations of the quantum affinization $U_q(\hat{sl}_\infty)$. The action is defined via the Drinfeld coproduct and is related to the crystal structure of semi-standard tableaux of type $A_\infty$. We call these representations extremal loop weight modules. The main motivations are applications to quantum toroidal algebras $U_q(sl_{n+1}^{tor})$: we prove the conjectural link between $U_q(\hat{sl}_\infty)$ and $U_q(sl_{n+1}^{tor})$ stated in [14] for this family of representations. We recover in this way the extremal loop weight modules obtain…
We define an algebra $\mathcal{U}_0$ using a simplified set of generators for the quantum toroidal algebra $U_q(sl_{n+1}, tor)$ and show that there exists an epimorphism from $\mathcal{U}_0$ to $U_q(sl_{n+1}, tor)$. We derive a closed formula of the comultiplication on the generators of $\mathcal{U}_0$ that extends that of the quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{sl}_{n+1})$. As a consequence, we show that $\mathcal{U}_0$ is a Hopf algebra for $n=1, 2$ and give conjectural formulas in the general case. We further show that $\mathcal{U}_0$ is isomorphic to a double algebra.
In this paper, for an arbitrary Kac-Moody Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ and a diagram automorphism $μ$ of $\mathfrak g$ satisfying certain natural linking conditions, we introduce and study a $μ$-twisted quantum affinization algebra $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_μ\right)$ of $\mathfrak g$. When $\mathfrak g$ is of finite type, $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_μ\right)$ is Drinfeld's current algebra realization of the twisted quantum affine algebra. When $μ=\mathrm{id}$ and $\mathfrak g$ in affine type, $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_μ\right)$ is the quantum toroidal al…
We will give a representation-theoretic proof for the multiplication formula in the Ringel-Hall algebra ${\frak H}_Δ(n)$ of a cyclic quiver $Δ(n)$ given in \cite[Thm~4.5]{DuFu2015quantum}. As a first application, we see immediately the existence of Hall polynomials for cyclic quivers, a fact established in \cite{Guo1995hallpoly} and \cite{Ringel1993composition}, and derive a recursive formula to compute them. We will further use the formula and the construction of certain monomial base for ${\mathfrak H}_Δ(n)$ given in \cite{DengDuXiao2007generic}, together with the double Ringel--Hall algebra…
Let $L$ be the basic (level one vacuum) representation of the affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra $\hat{\mathfrak g}$. The $m$-th space $F_m$ of the PBW filtration on $L$ is a linear span of vectors of the form $x_1... x_lv_0$, where $l\le m$, $x_i\in \hat{\mathfrak g}$ and $v_0$ is a highest weight vector of $L$. In this paper we give two descriptions of the associated graded space $L^{\rm gr}$ with respect to the PBW filtration. The "top-down" description deals with a structure of $L^{\rm gr}$ as a representation of the abelianized algebra of generating operators. We prove that the ideal of relatio…
In this paper we study general quantum affinizations $\U_q(\hat{\Glie})$ of symmetrizable quantum Kac-Moody algebras and we develop their representation theory. We prove a triangular decomposition and we give a classication of (type 1) highest weight simple integrable representations analog to Drinfel'd-Chari-Pressley one. A generalization of the q-characters morphism, introduced by Frenkel-Reshetikhin for quantum affine algebras, appears to be a powerful tool for this investigation. For a large class of quantum affinizations (including quantum affine algebras and quantum toroidal algebras), t…

The infinite affine Lie algebras of type ABCD, also called $\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}(\infty)$, $\widehat{\mathfrak{o}}(\infty)$, $\widehat{\mathfrak{sp}}(\infty)$, are equivalent to subalgebras of the quantum $W_{1+\infty}$ algebras. They have well-known representations on the Fock space of either a Dirac fermion ($\hat A_\infty$), a Majorana fermion ($\hat B_\infty$ and $\hat D_\infty$) or a symplectic boson ($\hat C_\infty$). Explicit formulas for the action of the quantum $W_{1+\infty}$ subalgebras on the Fock states are proposed for each representation. These formulas are the equivalent of …
The method of graded contractions, based on the preservation of the automorphisms of finite order, is applied to the affine Kac-Moody algebras and their representations, to yield a new class of infinite dimensional Lie algebras and representations. After the introduction of the horizontal and vertical gradings, and the algorithm to find the horizontal toroidal gradings, I discuss some general properties of the graded contractions, and compare them with the Inönü-Wigner contractions. The example of $\hat A_2$ is discussed in detail.
The fermionic Fock space admits two different actions of the quantized enveloping algebra of $\hat\sln$> The first one is a q-deformation of the well-known level-one representation of the affine Lie algebra and the second one is a new level-zero action arising from solvable lattices models. In this paper we prove that these two constructions can be glued together to get a representation of a new object: the toridal quantum group. This representation involves some difference operatorators. It is due to the fact that the specialization at q=1 of the toroidal algebra is isomorphic to the envelopi…
