We present a complete list of 6-dimensional Manin triples or, equivalently, of 3-dimensional Lie bialgebras. We start from the well known classification of 3-dimensional real Lie algebras and assume the canonical bilinear form on the 6-dimensional Drinfeld double. Then we solve the Jacobi identities for the dual algebras. Finally we find mutually non-isomorphic Manin triples. The complete list consists of 78 classes of Manin triples, or 44 Lie bialgebras if one considers dual bialgebras equivalent.
We propose a new approach to study coideal algebras. It is well-known that Manin triples (or equivalently Lie bi-algebra structures) are the requirement to deform Lie algebras and to obtain quantum groups. In this paper, introducing some particular automorphisms of Manin triples, we define new structures that we call Lie bi-ideal structures. A link with coisotropic subalgebras is explained. We show that their deformation provide coideal algebras. As examples, we recover from our general construction the twisted Yangians, the q-Onsager algebra and the augmented q-Onsager algebra. As an importan…
This work was inspired by the article of Parkhomenko, who drew attention to the central role played in the work of Spindel, Sevrin, Troust and van Proyen, by Manin triples. These authors have shown how to associate to a Manin triple an $N=2$ superconformal field theory (the work of Kazama-Suzuki is a special case of their results). In this paper, we construct a deformation of their theory, with continuously varying central charge, analogous to the Fock representations of the Virasoro algebra with stress-energy tensor $-(ϕ')^2/2+αϕ''$.
The article is devoted to the problem of classification of Manin triples up to weak and gauge equivalence. The case of complex simple Lie algebras can be obtained by the papers of A.Belavin, V.Drinfel'd, M.Semenov-Tian-Shanskii. Studing the action of conjugation on complex Manin triples, we get the list of real doubles. We classify all $ad$-invariant forms on the double compatible with bialgebra structure. We classify the Manin triples $(g(R),W,g(C))$ up to weak and gauge equivalence.
We study real and complex Manin triples for a complex reductive Lie algebra, $\g$. The first part includes, and extends to complex Manin triples, our earlier work [De]. First, we generalize results of E. Karolinsky, on the classification of Lagrangian subalgebras (cf.[K1], [K3]). Then we show that, if $\g$ is non commutative, one can attach, to each Manin triple in $\g$, another one for a strictly smaller reductive complex Lie subalgebra of $\g$. This gives a powerful tool for induction. Then we classify complex Manin triples, in terms of what we call generalized Belavin-Drinfeld data. In part…
We study Manin triples for a reductive Lie algebra, $\g$. First, we generalize results of E. Karolinsky, on the classification of Lagrangian subalgebras (cf. KAROLINSKY E., {\em A Classification of Poisson homogeneous spaces of a compact Poisson Lie group}, Dokl. Ak. Nauk, 359 (1998), 13-15). Then we show that, if $\g$ is non commutative, one can attach, to each Manin triple in $\g$, an other one for a strictly smaller reductive complex Lie subalgebra of $\g$. We study also the inverse process.
Starting from the classification of real Manin triples done in a previous paper we look for those that are isomorphic as 6-dimensional Lie algebras with the ad-invariant form used for construction of the Manin triples. We use several invariants of the Lie algebras to distinguish the non-isomorphic structures and give explicit form of maps between Manin triples that are decompositions of isomorphic Drinfeld doubles. The result is a complete list of 6-dimensional real Drinfeld doubles. It consists of 22 classes of non-isomorphic Drinfeld doubles.
By taking the quasi-classical limit of the ring of differential operators on a quantized algebraic group at roots of 1 we obtain a certain Poisson manifold. We show that this Poisson structure coincides with the one introduced by Semenov-Tyan-Shansky geometrically in the framework of Manin triples.
The construction of Lie bialgebra from double Lie algebra is presented. It is used to relate some types of cobracket on inhomogenous so(p,q) algebras with double Lie algebra structures on so(p+1,q) or so(p,q+1). Also it is shown that the cobracket corresponding to kappa-deformation gives rise to complete Poisson-Lie Euclidean groups and non-complete Poincare groups.
In this paper, we study Hom-Lie bialgebras by a new notion of the dual representation of a representation of a Hom-Lie algebra. Motivated by the essential connection between Lie bialgebras and Manin triples, we introduce the notion of a Hom-Lie bialgebra with emphasis on its compatibility with a Manin triple of Hom-Lie algebras associated to a nondegenerate symmetric bilinear form satisfying a new invariance condition. With this notion, coboundary Hom-Lie bialgebras can be studied without a skew-symmetric condition of $r\in\mathfrak{g}\otimes \mathfrak{g}$, naturally leading to the classical H…
This paper studies two types of 3-Lie bialgebras whose compatibility conditions between the multiplication and comultiplication are given by local cocycles and double constructions respectively, and are therefore called the local cocycle 3-Lie bialgebra and the double construction 3-Lie bialgebra. They can be regarded as suitable extensions of the well-known Lie bialgebra in the context of 3-Lie algebras, in two different directions. The local cocycle 3-Lie bialgebra is introduced to extend the connection between Lie bialgebras and the classical Yang-Baxter equation. Its relationship with a te…
Following V. Drinfeld and G. Olshansky, we construct Manin triples $(\fg, \fa, \fa^*)$ such that $\fg$ is different from Drinfeld's doubles of $\fa$ for several series of Lie superalgebras $\fa$ which have no even invariant bilinear form (periplectic, Poisson and contact) and for a remarkable exception. Straightforward superization of suitable Etingof--Kazhdan's results guarantee then the uniqueness of $q$-quantization of our Lie bialgebras. Our examples give solutions to the quantum Yang-Baxter equation in the cases when the classical YB equation has no solutions. To find explicit solutions i…
The broadly applied notions of Lie bialgebras, Manin triples, classical $r$-matrices and $\mathcal{O}$-operators of Lie algebras owe their importance to the close relationship among them. Yet these notions and their correspondences are mostly understood as classes of objects and maps among the classes. To gain categorical insight, this paper introduces, for each of the classes, a notion of homomorphisms, uniformly called coherent homomorphisms, so that the classes of objects become categories and the maps among the classes become functors or category equivalences. For this purpose, we start wi…
We briefly review the construction of N=2 WZW models in terms of Manin triples. We analyse the restrictions which should be imposed on the gluing conditions of the affine currents in order to preserve half of the bulk supersymmetry. In analogy with the Kahler case there are two types of D-branes, A- and B-types which have a nice algebraic interpretation in terms of the Manin triple.
We establish a bialgebra structure on Rota-Baxter Lie algebras following the Manin triple approach to Lie bialgebras. Explicitly, Rota-Baxter Lie bialgebras are characterized by generalizing matched pairs of Lie algebras and Manin triples of Lie algebras to the context of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras. The coboundary case leads to the introduction of the admissible classical Yang-Baxter equation (CYBE) in Rota-Baxter Lie algebras, for which the antisymmetric solutions give rise to Rota-Baxter Lie bialgebras. The notions of $\mathcal{O}$-operators on Rota-Baxter Lie algebras and Rota-Baxter pre-Lie …
We introduce the notion of a quadri-bialgebra, which gives a bialgebra theory for the quadri-algebra introduced by Aguiar and Loday. We show that a quadri-bialgebra is equivalent to a Manin triple of dendriform algebras associated to a nondegenerate 2-cocycle, and to a Manin triple of quadri-algebras associated to a nondegenerate invariant bilinear form. Quadri-bialgebras also come from a variation of the classical Yang-Baxter equation, called the $Q$-equations. Moreover, quadri-bialgebras fit into the framework of construction of Rota-Baxter operators and Nijenhuis operators on the double spa…
We introduce quantum versions of Manin pairs and Manin triples and define quantum moment maps in this context. This provides a framework that incorporates quantum moment maps for actions of Lie algebras and quantum groups for any quantum parameter. We also show how our quantum moment maps degenerate to known classical versions of moment maps and describe their fusion.
In this paper, first we introduce the notion of quadratic Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of arbitrary weight, and show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between factorizable Lie bialgebras and quadratic Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of nonzero weight. Then we introduce the notions of matched pairs, bialgebras and Manin triples of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of arbitrary weight, and show that Rota-Baxter Lie bialgebras, Manin triples of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras and certain matched pairs of Rota-Baxter Lie algebras are equivalent. The coadjoint representations and quadratic Rota-Baxter Lie algebras pl…
Classical limits of quantum groups give rise to multiplicative Poisson structures such as Poisson-Lie and quasi-Poisson structures. We relate them to the notion of a shifted Poisson structure which gives a conceptual framework for understanding classical (dynamical) $r$-matrices, quasi-Poisson groupoids and so on. We also propose a notion of a symplectic realization of shifted Poisson structures and show that Manin pairs and Manin triples give examples of such.
In this paper, we introduce a new definition of a hom-Lie bialgebra, which is equivalent to a Manin triple of hom-Lie algebras. We also introduce a notion of an $\mathcal O$-operator and then construct solutions of the classical hom-Yang-Baxter equation in terms of $\mathcal O$-operators and hom-left-symmetric algebras.
We study pseudoalgebras from the point of view of pseudo-dual of classical Lie coalgebra structures. We define the notions of Lie H-coalgebra and Lie pseudo-bialgebra. We obtain the analog of the CYBE, the Manin triples and Drinfeld's double for Lie pseudo-bialgebras. We also get a natural description of the annihilation algebra associated to a pseudoalgebra as a convolution algebra, clarifying this constructions in the theory of pseudoalgebras.
We define a 1-parameter family of $r$-matrices on the loop algebra of $sl_{2}$, defining compatible Poisson structures on the associated loop group, which degenerate into the rational and trigonometric structures, and study the Manin triples associated to them.
This paper is devoted to a classification of topological Lie bialgebra structures on the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}[\![x]\!]$, where $ \mathfrak{g} $ is a finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra over an algebraically closed field $ F $ of characteristic $ 0 $. We introduce the notion of a topological Manin pair $(L, \mathfrak{g}[\![x]\!])$ and present their classification by relating them to trace extensions of \( F[\![x]\!] \). Then we recall the classification of topological doubles of Lie bialgebra structures on $\mathfrak{g}[\![x]\!]$ and view the latter as a special case of the classificatio…
Simple finite dimensional Kantor triple systems over the complex numbers are classified in terms of Satake diagrams. We prove that every simple and linearly compact Kantor triple system has finite dimension and give an explicit presentation of all the classical and exceptional systems.
The aim of this paper is to introduce the notion of a mock-Lie bialgebra which is equivalent to a Manin triple of mock-Lie algebras. The study of a special case called coboundary mock-Lie bialgebra leads to the introduction the mock-Lie Yang-Baxter equation on a mock-Lie algebra which is an analogue of the classical Yang-Baxter equation on a Lie algebra. Note that a skew-symmetric solution of mock-Lie Yang-Baxter equation gives a mock-Lie bialgebra. Finally, the notation of $\mathcal O$-operators are studied to construct skew-symmetric solution of mock-Lie Yang-Baxter equation.
The notions of transposed Hom-Poisson and Hom-pre-Lie Poisson algebras are introduced. Their bimodules and matched pairs are defined and the relevant properties and theorems are given. The notion of Manin triple of transposed Hom-Poisson algebras is introduced, and its equivalence to the transposed Hom-Poisson bialgebras is investigated. The notion of $\mathcal{O}$-operator is exploited to illustrate the relations existing between transposed Hom-Poisson and Hom-pre-Lie Poisson algebras.
Basic definitions and properties of nearly associative algebras are described. Nearly associative algebras are proved to be Lie-admissible algebras. Two-dimensional nearly associative algebras are classified, and its main classes are derived. The bimodules, matched pairs and Manin triple of a nearly associative algebras are derived and their equivalence with nearly associative bialgebras is proved. Basic definitions and properties of nearly Hom-associative algebras are described. Related bimodules and matched pairs are given, and associated identities are established.
In this paper, we introduce the notion of a noncommutative Poisson bialgebra, and establish the equivalence between matched pairs, Manin triples and noncommutative Poisson bialgebras. Using quasi-representations and the corresponding cohomology theory of noncommutative Poisson algebras, we study coboundary noncommutative Poisson bialgebras which leads to the introduction of the Poisson Yang-Baxter equation. A skew-symmetric solution of the Poisson Yang-Baxter equation naturally gives a (coboundary) noncommutative Poisson bialgebra. Rota-Baxter operators, more generally O-operators on noncommut…
This paper is devoted to algebro-geometric study of infinite dimensional Lie bialgebras, which arise from solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation. We regard trigonometric solutions of this equation as twists of the standard Lie bialgebra cobracket on an appropriate affine Lie algebra and work out the corresponding theory of Manin triples, putting it into an algebro-geometric context. As a consequence of this approach, we prove that any trigonometric solution of the classical Yang-Baxter equation arises from an appropriate algebro-geometric datum. The developed theory is illustrated by …
In this paper, we give some low-dimensional examples of local cocycle 3-Lie bialgebras and double construction 3-Lie bialgebras which were introduced in the study of the classical Yang-Baxter equation and Manin triples for 3-Lie algebras. We give an explicit and practical formula to compute the skew-symmetric solutions of the 3-Lie classical Yang-Baxter equation (CYBE). As an illustration, we obtain all skew-symmetric solutions of the 3-Lie CYBE in complex 3-Lie algebras of dimension 3 and 4 and then the induced local cocycle 3-Lie bialgebras. On the other hand, we classify the double construc…
Structures of Lie algebras, Lie coalgebras, Lie bialgebras and Lie quasibialgebras are presented as solutions of Maurer-Cartan equations on corresponding governing differential graded Lie algebras using the big bracket construction of Kosmann-Schwarzbach. This approach provides a definition of an $L_\infty$-(quasi)bialgebra (strongly homotopy Lie (quasi)bialgebra). We recover an $L_\infty$-algebra structure as a particular case of our construction. The formal geometry interpretation leads to a definition of an $L_\infty$ (quasi)bialgebra structure on $V$ as a differential operator $Q$ on $V,$ …
Continuum Kac-Moody algebras have been recently introduced by the authors and O. Schiffmann. These are Lie algebras governed by a continuum root system, which can be realized as uncountable colimits of Borcherds-Kac-Moody algebras. In this paper, we prove that any continuum Kac-Moody algebra is canonically endowed with a non-degenerate invariant bilinear form. The positive and negative Borel subalgebras form a Manin triple with respect to this pairing, inducing on the continuum Kac-Moody algebra a topological quasi-triangular Lie bialgebra structure. We then construct an explicit quantization,…
