We define the notions of micro-support and regularity for ind-sheaves, and prove their invariance by contact transformations. We apply the results to the ind-sheaves of temperate holomorphic solutions of D-modules. We prove that the micro-support of such an ind-sheaf is the characteristic variety of the corresponding D-module and that the ind-sheaf is regular if the D-module is regular holonomic.
We give an explicit construction of the stack of microlocal perverse sheaves on the projective cotangent bundle of a complex manifold. Microlocal perverse sheaves will be represented as complexes of analytic ind-sheaves which have recently been studied by Kashiwara-Schapira. This description allows us to formulate the microlocal Riemann-Hilbert correspondance in order to establish an equivalence of stacks with the stack of regular holonomic microdifferential modules.
Microlocal perverse sheaves form a stack on the cotangent bundle of a complex manifold that is the analogue of the stack of perverse sheaves on the manifold itself. We give an embedding of the stack of microlocal perverse sheaves into a simpler stack on the cotangent bundle which we call melded Morse systems. The category of melded Morse systems is elementary, in the sense that an object is a collection of vector spaces and a collection of linear maps between them satisfying certain composition relations.
This is an announcement of a long paper in progress. On a locally compact space, we introduce the stack of ind-sheaves (ind-objects of the category of sheaves with compact support) and construct the analogous of the usual six operations on sheaves. As an application, we treat, in the formalism of ind-sheaves, functions with growth conditions such as the ``tempered holomorphic functions'' on a complex manifold. We also construct a microlocalization functor from the category of sheaves on a manifold to that of ind-sheaves on the cotangent bundle.
Let X be a C-infinity manifold. We construct a microlocalization functor $μ_X$ from the derived category of bounded complexes of ind-sheaves on X to the one on the cotangent bundle of X. This functor generalizes the classical theory of microlocalization.
These three lectures present some fundamental and classical aspects of microlocal analysis. Starting with the Sato's microlocalization functor and the microsupport of sheaves, we then construct a microlocal analogue of the Hochschild homology for sheaves and apply it to recover index theorems for D-modules and elliptic pairs. In the third lecture, we construct the ind-sheaves of temperate and Whitney holomorphic functions and give some applications to the study of irregular holonomic D-modules.
This paper is an attempt to better understand Tamarkin's approach of classical non-displaceability theorems of symplectic geometry, based on the microlocal theory of sheaves, a theory whose main features we recall here. If the main theorems are due to Tamarkin, our proofs may be rather different and in the course of the paper we introduce some new notions and obtain new results which may be of interest.
Microlocal sheaf theory of \cite{KS90} makes an essential use of an extension lemma for sheaves due to Kashiwara, and this lemma is based on a criterion of the same author giving conditions in order that a functor defined in $\mathbb{R}$ with values in the category $Sets$ of sets be constant. In a first part of this paper, using classical tools, we show how to generalize the extension lemma to the case of the unbounded derived category. In a second part, we extend Kashiwara's result on constant functors by replacing the category $Sets$ with the $\infty$-category of spaces and apply it to gener…
For a complex manifold $X$ the ring of microdifferential operators $\E_X$ acts on the microlocalization $μhom(F,Ø_X)$, for $F$ in the derived category of sheaves on $X$. Kashiwara, Schapira, Ivorra, Waschkies proved, as a byproduct of their new microlocalization functor for ind-sheaves, $μ_X$, that $μhom(F,Ø_X)$ can in fact be defined as an object of the derived category of $\E_X$-modules: this follows from the fact that $μ_X Ø_X$ is concentrated in one degree. In this paper we prove that the tempered microlocalization also is an object of the derived category of $\E_X$-modules. Since we don't…
Let $X$ be a complex manifold. In "Microlocal study of Ind-sheaves I: microsupport and regularity", M. Kashiwara e P. Schapira made the conjecture that a holonomic D-module $\shm$ is regular holonomic if and only if $R\mathcal{I}{hom}_{β_X\shd_X}(β_X\shm,\sho_X^t)$ is regular (in the sense of "Microlocal study of Ind-sheaves I: microsupport and regularity"), the "only if" part of this conjecture following immediately from "Microlocal study of Ind-sheaves I: microsupport and regularity". Our aim is to prove this conjecture in dimension one.
Enhanced ind-sheaves provide a suitable framework for the irregular Riemann-Hilbert correspondence. In this paper, we show how Sato's specialization and microlocalization functors have a natural enhancement, and discuss some of their properties.
The notion of microsupport and regularity for ind-sheaves was introduced by M. Kashiwara and P. Schapira in "Microlocal study of ind-sheaves I: microsupport and regularity". In this paper we study the behaviour of the microsupport under several functorial operations and characterize "microlocally" the ind-sheaves that are regular along involutive manifolds. As an application we prove that if a coherent D-module M is regular along an involutive manifold V (in the sense of "Systems of differential equations with regular singularities and their boundary value problems") then the ind-sheaf of temp…
In this article we propose a geometric description of Arthur packets for $p$-adic groups using vanishing cycles of perverse sheaves. Our approach is inspired by the 1992 book by Adams, Barbasch and Vogan on the Langlands classification of admissible representations of real groups and follows the direction indicated by Vogan in his 1993 paper on the Langlands correspondence. Using vanishing cycles, we introduce and study a functor from the category of equivariant perverse sheaves on the moduli space of certain Langlands parameters to local systems on the regular part of the conormal bundle for …
Based on the methods developed in [Kashiwara-Rouquier], we consider microlocalization of the rational Cherednik algebra of type $\Z/l\Z$. Our goal is to construct the irreducible modules and standard modules of the rational Cherednik algebra by using the microlocalization. As a consequence, we obtain the sheaves of microlocal system corresponding to holonomic systems with regular singularities.
Inspired by symplectic geometry and a microlocal characterizations of perverse (constructible) sheaves we consider an alternative definition of perverse coherent sheaves. We show that a coherent sheaf is perverse if and only if $RΓ_Z(\mathcal{F})$ is concentrated in degree 0 for special subvarieties Z of X. These subvarieties Z are analogs of Lagrangians in the symplectic case.
Let $\mathcal{M}$ be a holonomic algebraic $\mathcal{D}$-module on the affine line. Its exponential factors are Puiseux germs describing the growth of holomorphic solutions to $\mathcal{M}$ at irregular points. The stationary phase formula states that the exponential factors of the Fourier transform of $\mathcal{M}$ are obtained by Legendre transform from the exponential factors of $\mathcal{M}$. We give a microlocal proof of this fact, by translating it in terms of enhanced ind-sheaves through the Riemann-Hilbert correspondence.
The aim of this paper is to develop a theory of microdifferential operators for arithmetic $\mathscr{D}$-modules. We first define the sheaves of microdifferential operators of arbitrary levels on arbitrary smooth formal schemes. A difficulty lies in the fact that there are no homomorphisms between sheaves of microdifferential operators of different levels. To remedy this, we define the intermediate differential operators, and using these, we define the sheaf of microdifferential operators for $\mathscr{D}^†$. We conjecture that the characteristic variety of a $\mathscr{D}^†$-module is computed…
On a complex manifold, the embedding of the category of regular holonomic D-modules into that of holonomic D-modules has a left quasi-inverse functor $\mathcal{M}\mapsto\mathcal{M}_{\mathrm{reg}}$, called regularization. Recall that $\mathcal{M}_{\mathrm{reg}}$ is reconstructed from the de Rham complex of $\mathcal{M}$ by the regular Riemann-Hilbert correspondence. Similarly, on a topological space, the embedding of sheaves into enhanced ind-sheaves has a left quasi-inverse functor, called here sheafification. Regularization and sheafification are intertwined by the irregular Riemann-Hilbert c…
We prove a homological mirror symmetry equivalence between an $A$-brane category for the pair of pants, computed as a wrapped microlocal sheaf category, and a $B$-brane category for a mirror LG model, understood as a category of matrix factorizations. The equivalence improves upon prior results in two ways: it intertwines evident affine Weyl group symmetries on both sides, and it exhibits the relation of wrapped microlocal sheaves along different types of Lagrangian skeleta for the same hypersurface. The equivalence proceeds through the construction of a combinatorial realization of the $A$-mo…
We develop, for an l-adic etale sheaf on a complete trait of characteristic p>0, the notion of characteristic variety. Our approach, inspired by the microlocal analysis of Kashiwara and Schapira, is a complement to our ramification theory for local fields with general residue fields. We formulate the main property that should be satisfied by the characteristic variety (the isogeny conjecture), and prove it for rank one sheaves unconditionally on the trait, or unconditionally on the sheaf if the residue field of the trait is perfect.
We develop the theory of ind-coherent sheaves on schemes and stacks. The category of ind-coherent sheaves is closely related, but inequivalent, to the category of quasi-coherent sheaves, and the difference becomes crucial for the formulation of the categorical Geometric Langlands Correspondence.
In Asterisque 271 the authors introduced the notion of ind-sheaf, and defined the six Grothendieck operations in this framework. They defined subanalytic sheaves and they obtained the formalism of the six Grothendieck operations by including subanalytic sheaves into the category of ind-sheaves. The aim of this paper is to give a direct construction of the six Grothendieck operations in the framework of subanalytic sites avoiding the heavy theory of ind-sheaves. As an application we show how to recover the subanalytic sheaves of temperate and Whitney holomorphic functions.
A. D'Agnolo and M. Kashiwara proved that their enhanced solution functor induces a fully faithful embedding of the triangulated category of holonomic D-modules into the one of R-constructible enhanced ind-sheaves. In this paper, we define C-constructible enhanced ind-sheaves and show that the triangulated category of them is equivalent to its essential image. Moreover we show that there exists a t-structure on it whose heart is equivalent to the abelian category of holonomic D-modules.
Recently, the Riemann-Hilbert correspondence was generalized in the context of general holonomic D-modules by A. D'Agnolo and M. Kashiwara. Namely, they proved that their enhanced de Rham functor gives a fully faithfully embedding of the derived category of cohomologically holonomic complexes of D-modules into the derived category of complexes of real constructible enhanced ind-sheaves. In this paper, we study a condition when a complex of real constructible enhanced ind-sheaves $K$ is induced by a cohomologically holonomic complex of D-modules. We characterize such $K$ in terms of the restric…
We study the question when a category of ind-objects is abelian. Our answer allows a further generalization of the notion of weakly Tannakian categories introduced by the author. As an application we show that, under suitable conditions, the category of coherent sheaves on the product of two schemes with the resolution property is given by the Deligne tensor product of the categories of coherent sheaves of the two factors. To do this we prove that the class of quasi-compact and semi-separated schemes with the resolution property is closed under fiber products.
We consider the category $\operatorname{Qcoh}\mathbb{X}$ of quasicoherent sheaves where $\mathbb{X}$ is a weighted noncommutative regular projective curve over a field $k$. This category is a hereditary, locally noetherian Grothendieck category. We classify all indecomposable pure-injective sheaves and all cotilting sheaves of slope $\infty$. In the cases of nonnegative orbifold Euler characteristic this leads to a classification of pure-injective indecomposable sheaves and a description of all large cotilting sheaves in $\operatorname{Qcoh}\mathbb{X}$.
We investigate the properties of relative analogues of admissible Ind, Pro, and elementary Tate objects for pairs of exact categories, and give criteria for those categories to be abelian. A relative index map is introduced, and as an application we deduce a description for boundary morphisms in the K-theory of coherent sheaves on Noetherian schemes.
We prove, for all reductive groups, that the cohomology sheaves with compact support of stacks of shtukas are ind-smooth over $(X - N)^I$ and that their geometric generic fibers are equiped with an action of $\text{Weil}(X - N, \overlineη)^I$. Our method does not use any compactification of stacks of shtukas.
Differential systems of pure Gaussian type are examples of D-modules on the complex projective line with an irregular singularity at infinity, and as such are subject to the Stokes phenomenon. We employ the theory of enhanced ind-sheaves and the Riemann-Hilbert correspondence for holonomic D-modules of A. D'Agnolo and M. Kashiwara to describe the Stokes phenomenon topologically. Using this description, we perform a topological computation of the Fourier-Laplace transform of a D-module of pure Gaussian type in this framework, recovering and generalizing a result of C. Sabbah.
Quasi-coherent torsion sheaves, the semiderived category, and the semitensor product: Semi-infinite algebraic geometry of quasi-coherent sheaves on ind-schemes
We generalize a result by Cunningham-Salmasian to a Mackey-type formula for the compact restriction of a semisimple perverse sheaf produced by parabolic induction from a character sheaf, under certain conditions on the parahoric group used to define compact restriction. This provides new tools for matching character sheaves with admissible representations.
We define functors on the derived category of the moduli space M of stable sheaves on a smooth projective surface (under Assumptions A and S below), and prove that these functors satisfy certain relations. These relations allow us to prove that the given functors induce an action of the elliptic Hall algebra on the K-theory of the moduli space M, thus generalizing the action studied by Nakajima, Grojnowski and Baranovsky in cohomology.
