Asymptotically good 4-quasi transitive algebraic geometry codes over prime fields

We study the asymptotic behavior of a family of algebraic geometry codes which are 4-quasi transitive linear codes. We prove that this family is asymptotically good over many prime fields using towers of algebraic function fields.

Algebraic geometry over the residue field of the infinite place

Nikolai Durov introduced the theory of generalized rings and schemes to study Arakelov geometry in an alternative algebraic framework, and introduced the residue field at the infinite place. We show an elementary algebraic approach to modules and algebras over this object, define prime congruences, show that the polynomial ring of n variables is of Krull dimension n, and derive a prime decomposition theorem for these primes.

A Purely Algebraic Summation Method

It is mathematical folklore that 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + ... = --1/12. This result is usually achieved using elaborate analytical methods, such as zeta function regularization or Ramanujan summation. On cyclic algebraic-geometry codes

In this paper we initiate the study of cyclic algebraic geometry codes. We give conditions to construct cyclic algebraic geometry codes in the context of algebraic function fields over a finite field by using their group of automorphisms. We prove that cyclic algebraic geometry codes constructed in this way are closely related to cyclic extensions. We also give a detailed study of the monomial equivalence of cyclic algebraic geometry codes constructed with our method in the case of a rational function field.

In this article, we apply the approach of relative algebraic geometry towards analytic geometry to the category of bornological and Ind-Banach spaces (non-Archimedean or not). This article surveys the development of the theory of algebraic geometry codes since their discovery in the late 70's. We summarize the major results on various problems such as: asymptotic parameters, improved estimates on the minimum distance, and decoding algorithms.
