We present a so called Dirac-type tensor equation (DTTE). This equation is written in coordinateless form with the aid of differential operators $d$ and $δ$. A wave function of DTTE belongs to a minimal left ideal of the algebra of exterior forms with respect to the Clifford product. We show that a coordinate form of DTTE is identical to the Dirac equation in a fixed coordinate system.
We give estimates for the eigenvalues of multi-form modified Dirac operators which are constructed from a standard Dirac operator with the addition of a Clifford algebra element associated to a multi-degree form. In particular such estimates are presented for modified Dirac operators with a $k$-degree form $0\leq k\leq 4$, those modified with multi-degree $(0,k)$-form $0\leq k\leq 3$ and the horizon Dirac operators which are modified with a multi-degree $(1,2,4)$-form. In particular, we give the necessary geometric conditions for such operators to admit zero modes as well as those for the zero…
Previously (A. Akhmeteli, J. Math. Phys., v. 52, p. 082303 (2011)), the Dirac equation in an arbitrary electromagnetic field was shown to be generally equivalent to a fourth-order equation for just one component of the four-component Dirac spinor function. This was done for a specific (chiral) representation of gamma-matrices and for a specific component. In the current work, the result is generalized for a general representation of gamma-matrices and a general component (satisfying some conditions). The resulting equivalent of the Dirac equation is also manifestly relativistically covariant a…
Darboux transformation is a powerful tool for the construction of new solvable models in quantum mechanics. In this article, we discuss its use in the context of physical systems described by $4\times4$ Dirac Hamiltonians. The general framework provides limited control over the resulting energy operator, so that it can fail to have the required physical interpretation. We show that this problem can be circumvented with the reducible Darboux transformation that can preserve the required form of physical interactions by construction. To demonstrate it explicitly, we focus on distortion scatterin…
