The s ell_q(2) representations are realized in the space of polynomials for general and exceptional values of deformation parameter q and on finite set of theta-functions for cyclic representation corresponding to q^N = +/- 1, which are a natural extension of the polynomials. The complete set of eigenstates of the Universal R-matrix are constructed and corresponding eigenvalues are calculated.
We find the all solutions to the $sl_q(2)$-invariant multi-parametric Yang-Baxter equations (YBE) at $q=i$ defined on the cyclic (semi-cyclic, nilpotent) representations of the algebra. We are deriving the solutions in form of the linear combinations over the $sl_q(2)$-invariant objects - projectors. The direct construction of the projector operators at roots of unity gives us an opportunity to consider all the possible cases, including also degenerated one, when the number of the projectors becomes larger, and various type of solutions are arising, and as well as the inhomogeneous case. We ar…
In this paper we discuss the integrable chiral Potts model, as it clearly relates to how we got befriended with Vaughan Jones, whose birthday we celebrated at the Qinhuangdao meeting. Remarkably we can also celebrate the birthday of the model, as it has been introduced about 30 years ago as the first solution of the star-triangle equations parametrized in terms of higher genus functions. After introducing the most general checkerboard Yang--Baxter equation, we specialize to the star-triangle equation, also discussing its relation with knot theory. Then we show how the integrable chiral Potts m…
We demonstrate that the transfer matrix of the inhomogeneous $N$-state chiral Potts model with two vertical superintegrable rapidities serves as the $Q$-operator of XXZ chain model for a cyclic representation of $U_{\sf q}(sl_2)$ with $N$th root-of-unity ${\sf q}$ and representation-parameter for odd $N$. The symmetry problem of XXZ chain with a general cyclic $U_{\sf q}(sl_2)$-representation is mapped onto the problem of studying $Q$-operator of some special one-parameter family of generalized $τ^{(2)}$-models. In particular, the spin-$\frac{N-1}{2}$ XXZ chain model with ${\sf q}^N=1$ and the…
In [1] an integrable quantum model was introduced and a class of its cyclic representations was proven to define lattice regularizations of the Sine-Gordon model. Here, we analyze general cyclic representations of this integrable quantum model by extending the spectrum construction introduced in [2] in the framework of the Separation of Variables (SOV) of Sklyanin. We show that as in [1] also for general representations, the transfer matrix spectrum (eigenvalues and eigenstates) is completely characterized in terms of polynomial solutions of an associated functional Baxter equation. Moreover, …
We construct a new family of q-deformed coherent states $|z>_q$, where $0 < q < 1$. These states are normalizable on the whole complex plane and continuous in their label $z$. They allow the resolution of unity in the form of an ordinary integral with a positive weight function obtained through the analytic solution of the associated Stieltjes power-moment problem and expressed in terms of one of the two Jacksons's $q$-exponentials. They also permit exact evaluation of matrix elements of physically-relevant operators. We use this to show that the photon number statistics for the states is sub-…
We study the transfer matrix spectral problem for the cyclic representations of the trigonometric 6-vertex reflection algebra associated to the Bazhanov-Stroganov Lax operator. The results apply as well to the spectral analysis of the lattice sine-Gordon model with integrable open boundary conditions. This spectral analysis is developed by implementing the method of separation of variables (SoV). The transfer matrix spectrum (both eigenvalues and eigenstates) is completely characterized in terms of the set of solutions to a discrete system of polynomial equations in a given class of functions.…
We consider the problem of the exact computation of the correlation functions of the eight-vertex solid-on-solid model by means of the algebraic Bethe Ansatz. We compute the scalar product between a Bethe eigenstate and an arbitrary state of Bethe type and show that, in the cyclic case, it can be formulated as a single determinant of usual functions. It allows us to obtain determinant representations for finite-size form factors. By summing up over the form factors, we also give a multiple integral representation for a generating function of the two-point function.
The concept of cyclic tridiagonal pairs is introduced, and explicit examples are given. For a fairly general class of cyclic tridiagonal pairs with cyclicity N, we associate a pair of `divided polynomials'. The properties of this pair generalize the ones of tridiagonal pairs of Racah type. The algebra generated by the pair of divided polynomials is identified as a higher-order generalization of the Onsager algebra. It can be viewed as a subalgebra of the q-Onsager algebra for a proper specialization at q the primitive 2Nth root of unity. Orthogonal polynomials beyond the Leonard duality are re…
We identify the quantum group ${\Large\textsl{U}}_\textsl{w}(sl_2)$ in the $L$-operator of $τ^{(2)}$-model for a generic $\textsl{w}$ as a subalgebra of $U_{\sf q} (sl_2)$ with $\textsl{w} = {\sf q}^{-2}$. In the roots of unity case, ${\sf q}=q, \textsl{w} = ω$ with $q^{\bf n} = ω^N = 1$, the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of XXZ-model with the $U_q (sl_2)$-cyclic representation are determined by the $τ^{(2)}$-model with the induced ${\Large\textsl{U}}_ω(sl_2)$-cyclic representation, which is decomposed as a finite sum of $τ^{(2)}$-models in non-superintegrable inhomogeneous $N$-state chiral Pot…
We demonstrate the existence of special phantom excitations for open and periodically closed integrable systems at the example of the $XXZ$ Heisenberg spin chain. The phantom excitations do not contribute to the energy of the Bethe state and correspond to special solutions to the Bethe Ansatz equations with infinite "phantom" Bethe roots. The phantom Bethe roots lead to degeneracies between different magnetization sectors in the periodic case and to the appearance of spin helix states (SHS), i.e. periodically modulated states of chiral nature in both open and closed systems. For the periodic c…
We present a new complete set of states for a class of open quantum systems, to be used in expansion of the Green's function and the time-evolution operator. A remarkable feature of the complete set is that it observes time-reversal symmetry in the sense that it contains decaying states (resonant states) and growing states (anti-resonant states) parallelly. We can thereby pinpoint the occurrence of the breaking of time-reversal symmetry at the choice of whether we solve Schroedinger equation as an initial-condition problem or a terminal-condition problem. Another feature of the complete set is…
This article is a direct continuation of [1] where we begun the study of the transfer matrix spectral problem for the cyclic representations of the trigonometric 6-vertex reflection algebra associated to the Bazhanov-Stroganov Lax operator. There we addressed this problem for the case where one of the K-matrices describing the boundary conditions is triangular. In the present article we consider the most general integrable boundary conditions, namely the most general boundary K-matrices satisfying the reflection equation. The spectral analysis is developed by implementing the method of Separat…

The most general cyclic representations of the quantum integrable tau_2-model are analyzed. The complete characterization of the tau_2-spectrum (eigenvalues and eigenstates) is achieved in the framework of Sklyanin's Separation of Variables (SOV) method by extending and adapting the ideas first introduced in [1, 2]: i) The determination of the tau_2-spectrum is reduced to the classification of the solutions of a given functional equation in a class of polynomials. ii) The determination of the tau_2-eigenstates is reduced to the classification of the solutions of an associated Baxter equation. …
The transfer matrix of the XXZ open spin-1/2 chain with general integrable boundary conditions and generic anisotropy parameter (q is not a root of unity and |q|=1) is diagonalized using the representation theory of the q-Onsager algebra. Similarly to the Ising and superintegrable chiral Potts models, the complete spectrum is expressed in terms of the roots of a characteristic polynomial of degree d=2^N. The complete family of eigenstates are derived in terms of rational functions defined on a discrete support which satisfy a system of coupled recurrence relations. In the special case of linea…
