In this paper, we study the following nonlocal Sobolev inequality on the Heisenberg group \begin{equation}\label{eq:HLS}
S_{HL}(Q,μ) \left(\int_{\mathbb{H}^{n}}\int_{\mathbb{H}^{n}}\frac{|u(ξ)|^{Q^{\ast}_μ}|u(η)|^{Q^{\ast}_μ}}{|η^{-1}ξ|^μ}{d}ξ{d}η\right)^{\frac{1}{Q^{\ast}_μ}}\leq \int_{\mathbb{H}^{n}}|\nabla_{\mathbb{H}}u|^{2}dξ,\quad \forall \, u\in S^{1,2}(\mathbb{H}^{n}), \end{equation} where $Q=2n+2$ is the homogeneous dimension of the Heisenberg group $\mathbb{H}^{n}$, $n\geq1$, $μ\in(0,Q)$, $Q^{\ast}_μ=\frac{2Q-μ}{Q-2}$ is the upper critical exponent in the sense of the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality and the Folland-Stein-Sobolev inequality on the Heisenberg group, $S_{HL}(Q,μ)$ is the sharp constant of \eqref{eq:HLS}, and $S^{1,2}(\mathbb{H}^{n})$ is the Folland-Stein-Sobolev space. %of the nonlocal-Sobolev inequality. It is well-known that, up to a translation and suitable scaling, \begin{equation}\label{eq:abs}
-Δ_{\mathbb{H}} u=\left(\int_{\mathbb{H}^{n}}\frac{|u(η)| ^{Q^{\ast}_μ}}{|η^{-1}ξ|^μ}{d}η\right)|u|^{Q_μ^*-2}u,~~u\in S^{1,2}(\mathbb{H}^{n}) \end{equation} is the Euler-Lagrange equation corresponding to the associated minimization problem.
On the one hand, we show the existence of a gradient-type remainder term for inequality \eqref{eq:HLS} when $Q\geq4$, $μ\in (0,4]$, and as a corollary, derive the existence of a remainder term in the weak $L^{\frac{Q}{Q-2}}$-norm on bounded domains. On the other hand, we establish the quantitative stability of critical points for equation \eqref{eq:abs} in the multi-bubble case when $Q=4$ and $μ\in (2,4)$.
We show that the fractional Sobolev inequality for the embedding $\H \hookrightarrow L^{\frac{2N}{N-s}}(\R^N)$, $s \in (0,N)$ can be sharpened by adding a remainder term proportional to the distance to the set of optimizers. As a corollary, we derive the existence of a remainder term in the weak $L^{\frac{N}{N-s}}$-norm for functions supported in a domain of finite measure. Our results generalize earlier work for the non-fractional case where $s$ is an even integer.
The paper gives an improvement of the Trudinger-Moser inequality, in which the constraint set is defined not by the squared gradient norm, but with the squared gradient norm minus a remainder term of the weighted L^p-type. This is a two-dimensional counterpart of the Hardy-Sobolev-Mazya inequality in higher dimensions, which is a similar refinement of the limiting Sobolev inequality. In particular, we generalize two known cases of remainder terms of potential type (i.e. weighted L^2-terms) found by Adimurthi and Druet and by Wang and Ye. In addition, we prove the inequality with a L^p-remainde…
In this paper we establish several Hardy and Hardy-Sobolev type inequalities with homogeneous weights on the first orthant $\displaystyle \mathbb{R}_{*}^n:=\{(x_1, \ldots, x_n):x_1>0, \ldots, x_n>0 \}$. We then use some of them to produce Hardy type inequalities with remainder terms. Furthermore, we obtain some interpolation inequalities and Maz'ya type inequalities with remainder terms with the help of Maz'ya inequality and Sobolev inequality of Cabré and Ros-Orton on the upper half space $\mathbb{R}_{+}^n:=\{x=(x_1, \ldots, x_n)|\, x_n>0 \}$.
This paper is concerned with the multiplicity of nontrivial solutions in an Orlicz-Sobolev space for a nonlocal problem involving N-functions and theory of locally Lispchitz continuous functionals.
In this paper, we investigate the existence of ground state solutions and non-existence of non-trivial weak solution of biharmonic equation with some nonlocal terms and critical Sobolev exponent. Firstly, we prove the non-existence by establishing Pohozaev type of identity. Next, we study the existence of ground state solutions by using the minimization method on the associated Nehari manifold.
We study elliptic equations of order $2m$ with nonlocal boundary-value conditions in plane angles and in bounded domains, dealing with the case where the support of nonlocal terms intersects the boundary. We establish necessary and sufficient conditions under which nonlocal problems are Fredholm in Sobolev spaces and, respectively, in weighted spaces with small weight exponents. We also obtain an asymptotics of solutions to nonlocal problems near the conjugation points on the boundary, where solutions may have power singularities.
This paper deals with Strauss and Lions-type theorems for fractional Sobolev spaces with variable exponent $W^{s,p(.),\tilde{p}(.,.)}(Ω)$, when $p$ and $\tilde{p}$ satisfies some conditions. As application, we study the existence of solutions for a class of Kirchhoff-Choquard problem in $\mathbb{R}^N$.

In this article, we consider mixed local and nonlocal Sobolev $(q,p)$-inequalities with extremal in the case $0<q<1<p<\infty$. We prove that the extremal of such inequalities is unique up to a multiplicative constant that is associated with a singular elliptic problem involving the mixed local and nonlocal $p$-Laplace operator. Moreover, it is proved that the mixed Sobolev inequalities are necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of weak solutions of such singular problems. As a consequence, a relation between the singular $p$-Laplace and mixed local and nonlocal $p$-Laplace equati…
We give some estimates of the remainder terms for several conformally-invariant Sobolev-type inequalities on the Heisenberg group, in analogy with the Euclidean case. By considering the variation of associated functionals, we give a stability of two dual forms: the fractional Sobolev (Folland-Stein) and Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality, in terms of distance to the submanifold of extremizers. Then we compare their remainder terms to improve the inequalities in another way. We also compare, in the limit case s = Q (or $λ$ = 0), the remainder terms of Beckner-Onofri inequality and its dual Log…
In this paper, we investigate the existence of weak solution for a fractional type problems driven by a nonlocal operator of elliptic type in a fractional Orlicz-Sobolev space, with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. We first extend the fractional Sobolev spaces $W^{s,p}$ to include the general case $W^sL_A$, where $A$ is an N-function and $s\in (0,1)$. We are concerned with some qualitative properties of the space $W^sL_A$ (completeness, reflexivity and separability). Moreover, we prove a continuous and compact embedding theorem of these spaces into Lebesgue spaces.
In this paper, we develop some properties of the $a_{x,y}(.)$-Neumann derivative for the fractional $a_{x,y}(.)$-Laplacian operator. Therefore we prove the basic proprieties of the correspondent function spaces. In the second part of this paper, by means of Ekeland's variational principal and direct variational approach, we prove the existence of weak solutions for a nonlocal problem with nonhomogeneous Neumann and Robin boundary condition.
We consider the minimizers of the energy $$ \|u\|_{H^s(Ω)}^2+\int_ΩW(u)\,dx,$$ with $s \in (0,1/2)$, where $\|u\|_{H^s(Ω)}$ denotes the total contribution from $Ω$ in the $H^s$ norm of $u$, and $W$ is a double-well potential. By using a fractional Sobolev inequality, we give a new proof of the fact that the sublevel sets of a minimizer $u$ in a large ball $B_R$ occupy a volume comparable with the volume of $B_R$.
We prove that the initial value problem associated to a nonlocal perturbation of the Benjamin-Ono equation is locally and globally well-posed in Sobolev spaces $H^s(\mathbb{R})$ for any $s>-3/2$ and we establish that our result is sharp in the sense that the flow map of this equation fails to be $C^2$ in $H^s(\mathbb{R})$ for $s<-3/2$. Finally, we study persistence properties of the solution flow in the weighted Sobolev spaces $Z_{s,r}=H^s(\mathbb{R})\cap L^2(|x|^{2r}\,dx)$ for $s\geq r >0$. We also prove some unique continuation properties of the solution flow in these spaces.
In this paper, we are going to investigate Cauchy problem for nonlocal nonlinear Schrödinger equation with the initial potential $q_0(x)$ in weighted sobolev space $H^{1,1}(\mathbb{R})$, \begin{align*} iq_t(x,t)&+q_{xx}(x,t)+2σq^2(x,t)\bar q(-x,t)=0,\quadσ=\pm1,\\ q(x,0)&=q_0(x). \end{align*} We show that the solution can be represented by the solution of a Riemann-Hilbert problem (RH problem), and assuming no discrete spectrum, we majorly apply $\bar\partial$-steepest cescent descent method on analyzing the long-time asymptotic behavior of it.
Unbounded operators corresponding to nonlocal elliptic problems on a bounded region $G\subset\mathbb R^2$ are considered. The domain of these operators consists of functions from the Sobolev space $W_2^m(G)$ being generalized solutions of the corresponding $2m$-order elliptic equation with right-hand side from $L_2(G)$ and satisfying homogeneous nonlocal boundary conditions. It is known that such unbounded operators have the Fredholm property. It is proved in the paper that low-order terms in the differential equation do not affect the index of the operator. Conditions under which nonlocal per…
In this paper, we investigate the existence of weak solution for a Kirchhoff type problem driven by a nonlocal operator of elliptic type in a fractional Orlicz-Sobolev space, with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions {\small$$ (D_{K,A}) \hspace*{0.5cm} \left\{ \begin{array}{clclc} M\left( \displaystyle \int_{\R^{2N}}A\left( [u(x)-u(y)] K(x,y)\right) dxdy\right) \mathcal{L}^K_A u & = & f(x,u) & \text{ in }& Ω, \hspace*{7cm} u & = & 0 \hspace*{0.2cm} \hspace*{0.2cm} & \text{ in } & \R^N\setminus Ω. \label{eq1} \end{array} \right. $$ } Where $\mathcal{L}^K_A$ is a nonlocal operator with sing…
Using a groundstate transformation, we give a new proof of the optimal Stein-Weiss inequality of Herbst [\int_{\R^N} \int_{\R^N} \frac{φ(x)}{\abs{x}^\fracα{2}} I_α(x - y) \frac{φ(y)}{\abs{y}^\fracα{2}}\dif x \dif y \le \mathcal{C}_{N,α, 0}\int_{\R^N} \absφ^2,] and of its combinations with the Hardy inequality by Beckner [\int_{\R^N} \int_{\R^N} \frac{φ(x)}{\abs{x}^\frac{α+ s}{2}} I_α(x - y) \frac{φ(y)}{\abs{y}^\frac{α+ s}{2}}\dif x \dif y \le \mathcal{C}_{N, α, 1} \int_{\R^N} \abs{\nabla φ}^2,] and with the fractional Hardy inequality [\int_{\R^N} \int_{\R^N} \frac{φ(x)}{\abs{x}^\frac{α+ s}{2}…

We consider the following nonlinear Choquard equation with Dirichlet boundary condition $$-Δu =\left(\int_Ω\frac{|u|^{2_μ^{\ast}}}{|x-y|^μ}dy\right)|u|^{2_μ^{\ast}-2}u+λf(u)\hspace{4.14mm}\mbox{in}\hspace{1.14mm} Ω, $$ where $Ω$ is a smooth bounded domain of $\mathbb{R}^N$, $λ>0$, $N\geq3$, $0<μ<N$ and $2_μ^{\ast}$ is the critical exponent in the sense of the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality. Under suitable assumptions on different types of nonlinearities $f(u)$, we are able to prove some existence and multiplicity results for the equation by variational methods.
In this paper, we extend the fractional Sobolev spaces with variable exponents $W^{s,p(x,y)}$ to include the general fractional case $W^{K,p(x,y)}$, where $p$ is a variable exponent, $s\in (0,1)$ and $K$ is a suitable kernel. We are concerned with some qualitative properties of the space $W^{K,p(x,y)}$ (completeness, reflexivity, separability, and density). Moreover, we prove a continuous and compact embedding theorem of these spaces into variable exponent Lebesgue spaces. As applications, we discuss the existence of a nontrivial solution for a nonlocal $p(x,.)$-Kirchhoff type problem. Further…
In the first part of this article we deal with the existence of at least three non-trivial weak solutions of a nonlocal problem with nonstandard growth involving a nonlocal Robin type boundary condition. The second part of the article is devoted to study eigenvalues and minimizers of several nonlocal problems for the fractional $g-$Laplacian $(-Δ_g)^s$ with different boundary conditions, namely, Dirichlet, Neumann and Robin.
We obtain some nonlocal characterizations for a class of variable exponent Sobolev spaces arising in nonlinear elasticity theory and in the theory of electrorheological fluids. We also get a singular limit formula extending Nguyen results to the anisotropic case.
We obtain some nonlocal characterizations for a class of variable exponent Sobolev spaces arising in nonlinear elasticity, in the theory of electrorheological fluids as well as in image processing for the regions where the variable exponent $p(x)$ reaches the value $1$.

In this paper we study the geometry of certain functionals associated to quasilinear elliptic boundary value problems with a degenerate nonlocal term of Kirchhoff type. Due to the degeneration of the nonlocal term it is not possible to directly use classical results such as uniform a-priori estimates and "Sobolev versus Hölder local minimizers" type of results. We prove that results similar to these hold true or not, depending on how degenerate the problem is. We apply our findings in order to show existence and multiplicity of solutions for the associated quasilinear equations, considering se…
In this work, we establish some abstract results on the perspective of the fractional Musielak-Sobolev spaces, such as: uniform convexity, Radon-Riesz property with respect to the modular function, $(S_{+})$-property, Brezis-Lieb type Lemma to the modular function and monotonicity results. Moreover, we apply the theory developed to study the existence of solutions to the following class of nonlocal problems \begin{equation*} \left\{ \begin{array}{ll} (-Δ)_{Φ_{x,y}}^s u = f(x,u),& \mbox{in }Ω, u=0,& \mbox{on }\mathbb{R}^N\setminus Ω, \end{array} \right. \end{equation*} where $N\geq 2$, $Ω\subse…
This work is concerned with both higher integrability and differentiability for linear nonlocal equations with possibly very irregular coefficients of VMO-type or even coefficients that are merely small in BMO. In particular, such coefficients might be discontinuous. While for corresponding local elliptic equations with VMO coefficients such a gain of Sobolev regularity along the differentiability scale is unattainable, it was already observed in previous works that gaining differentiability in our nonlocal setting is possible under less restrictive assumptions than in the local setting. In th…
This article concerns about the existence and multiplicity of weak solutions for the following nonlinear doubly nonlocal problem with critical nonlinearity in the sense of Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality \begin{equation*} \left\{ \begin{split} (-Δ)^su &= λ|u|^{q-2}u + \left(\int_Ω\frac{|v(y)|^{2^*_μ}}{|x-y|^μ}~\mathrm{d}y\right) |u|^{2^*_μ-2}u\; \text{in}\; Ω (-Δ)^sv &= δ|v|^{q-2}v + \left(\int_{\Om}\frac{|u(y)|^{2^*_μ}}{|x-y|^μ}~\mathrm{d}y \right) |v|^{2^*_μ-2}v \; \text{in}\; Ω u &=v=0\; \text{in}\; \mb R^n\setminusΩ, \end{split} \right. \end{equation*} where $Ω$ is a smooth bounded dom…
In this paper, we establish that: Suppose a closed Riemannian manifold $(M^n,g_0)$ of dimension $\geq 8$ is not locally conformally flat, then the Paneitz-Sobolev constant of $M^n$ has the property that $q(g_0)<q(S^n)$. The analogy of this result was obtained by T. Aubin in 1976 and had been used to solve the Yamabe problem on closed manifolds. As an application, the above result can be used to recover the sequential convergence of the nonlocal Q-curvature flow on closed manifolds recently introduced by Gursky-Malchiodi.
The classical local Neumann problem is well studied and solutions of this problem lie, in general, in a Sobolev space. In this work, we focus on nonlocal Neumann problems with measurable, nonnegative kernels, whose solutions require less regularity assumptions. For kernels of this kind we formulate and study the weak formulation of the nonlocal Neumann problem and we investigate a nonlocal counterpart of the Sobolev space $H^{1}$ as well as a resulting nonlocal trace space. We further establish, mainly for symmetric kernels, various existence results for the weak solution of the Neumann proble…
We study generalized fractional $p$-Laplacian equations to prove local boundedness and Hölder continuity of weak solutions to such nonlocal problems by finding a suitable fractional Sobolev-Poincaré inquality.
In the present paper we study the existence of solutions for some nonlocal problems involving Orlicz-Sobolev spaces. The approach is based on sub-supersolutions.
