We study weighted constant scalar curvature Kähler metrics, introduced by Lahdili as $(v,w)$-CSCK metrics, on Fano manifolds and their relationship with soliton-type metrics. In this paper, we introduce a weight function $g(v,w)$ associated with a pair of weight functions $(v,w)$. Assuming that $v$ and $g(v,w)$ are positive and log-concave on the moment polytope, we prove that the existence of a $(v,w)$-CSCK metric in the first Chern class is equivalent to the existence of a $g(v,w)$-soliton.
We also explain that a $g(v,w)$-soliton arises naturally from Sasaki geometry. More precisely, let $(v,w)$ be the weight functions defining a weighted CSCK metric in $2πc_1(X)$ which gives rise to a $\hatξ$-transverse extremal metric on an $S^1$-bundle $N$ in the canonical bundle of a Fano manifold $X$, where $\hatξ$ is a possibly irregular Reeb field on $N$. We prove that the associated $g(v,w)$-soliton on $X$ gives rise to a $\hatξ$-transverse Mabuchi soliton on $N$.
In this article we prove the existence of Kahler-Ricci solitons on smoothable, K-stable Q-Fano varieties. We also investigate the behavior of twisted Kahler-Ricci solitons in the Gromov-Hausdorff topology under this smoothing family.
In this short paper, we improve the result of Phong-Song-Sturm on degeneration of Fano Kähler-Ricci solitons by removing the assumption on the uniform bound of the Futaki invariant. Let $\mathcal{KR}(n)$ be the space of Kähler-Ricci solitons on $n$-dimensional Fano manifolds. We show that after passing to a subsequence, any sequence in $\mathcal{KR}(n)$ converge in the Gromov-Hausdorff topology to a Kähler-Ricci soliton on an $n$-dimensional $\mathbb{Q}$-Fano variety with log terminal singularities.
In this paper, we extend Tosatti's method to study the lower boundedness of modified $K$-energy on a Fano manifold and apply this result to study the relative $K$-stability of the deformation space of a Kähler Ricci soliton.
In this paper, we consider the twisted Kähler-Ricci soliton, and show that the existence of twisted Kähler-Ricci soliton with semi-positive twisting form is closely related to the properness of some energy functionals. We also consider the conical Kähler-Ricci soliton, and obtain some existence results. In particular, under some assumptions on the divisor and $α$-invariant, we get the properness of the modified log K-energy and the existence of conical Kähler-Ricci soliton with suitable cone angle.
As a generalization of Kahler-Einstein metrics for Fano manifolds with nonvanishing Futaki invariant, Mabuchi solitons are critical points of a Calabi-type energy functional. We study their existence on toric Fano varieties and the underlying algebraic stability notion: relative Ding stability. As a toy model for a YTD type correspondence, a new feature is the emergence of a non-uniformly stable case. We show a partial coercivity for the modified Ding functionals in this case, and obtain singular Mabuchi solitons via a variational approach. In the unstable case, we determine the maximal destab…
In this article we focus on multiplier Hermitian-Einstein metrics introduced by Mabuchi which include Kähler-Einstein metrics, Kähler-Ricci solitons and Mabuchi solitons as special cases. We also focus on KSM-manifolds, which are introduced by the first author as toric bundles, to establish a criterion for the existence of multiplier Hermitian-Einstein metrics in terms of KSM-data. An explicit example for a KSM-manifold admitting a family of multiplier Hermitian-Einstein metrics is constructed by using a continuous path connecting a Kähler-Ricci soliton and a Mabuchi soliton.
We construct a canonical Hausdorff complex analytic moduli space of Fano manifolds with Kähler-Ricci solitons. This naturally enlarges the moduli space of Fano manifolds with Kähler-Einstein metrics, which was constructed by Odaka and Li-Wang-Xu. We discover a moment map picture for Kähler-Ricci solitons, and give complex analytic charts on the topological space consisting of Kähler-Ricci solitons, by studying differential geometric aspects of this infinite dimensional moment map. Some stacky words and arguments on Gromov-Hausdorff convergence help to glue them together in the holomorphic mann…
In this paper, we study the uniformly strong convergence of Kähler-Ricci flow on a Fano manifold with varied initial metrics and smooth deformation complex structures. As an application, we prove the uniqueness of Kähler-Ricci solitons in sense of diffeomorphism orbits. The result generalizes Tian-Zhu's theorem for the uniqueness of of Kähler-Ricci solitons on a compact complex manifold, and it is also a generalization of Chen-Sun's result of for the uniqueness of of Kähler-Einstein metric orbits.
A short proof of the convergence of the Kahler-Ricci flow on Fano manifolds admitting a Kahler-Einstein metric or a Kahler-Ricci soliton is given, using a variety of recent techniques
We prove a necessary and sufficient condition in terms of the barycenters of a collection of polytopes for existence of coupled Kähler-Einstein metrics on toric Fano manifolds. This confirms the toric case of a coupled version of the Yau-Tian-Donaldson conjecture. We also obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for existence of torus-invariant solutions to a system of soliton type equations on toric Fano manifolds. Some of these solutions provide natural candidates for the large time limits of a certain geometric flow generalizing the Kähler-Ricci flow.

We study the behavior under Gromov-Hausdorff convergence of the spectrum of weighted $\barpartial$-Laplacian on compact Kähler manifolds. This situation typically occurs for a sequence of Fano manifolds with anticanonical Kähler class. We apply it to show that, if an almost smooth Fano-Ricci limit space admits a Kähler-Ricci limit soliton and the space of all $L^2$ holomorphic vector fields with smooth potentials is a Lie algebra with respect to the Lie bracket, then the Lie algebra has the same structure as smooth Kähler-Ricci solitons. In particular if a $\Q$-Fano variety admits a Kähler-Ric…
We give necessary and sufficient conditions for existence of solutions to a general system of complex Monge-Ampère equations on Fano horosymmetric manifolds. In particular, we get necessary and sufficient conditions for existence of coupled Kähler-Ricci solitons, Mabuchi metrics and twisted Kähler-Einstein metrics in terms of combinatorial data of the manifold.
We consider Fano manifolds admitting an algebraic torus action with general orbit of codimension one. Using a recent result of Datar and Szekelyhidi, we effectively determine the existence of Kahler-Ricci solitons for those manifolds via the notion of equivariant K-stability. This allows us to give new examples of Kahler-Einstein Fano threefolds, and Fano threefolds admitting a non-trivial Kahler-Ricci soliton.
This is largely an exposition article that expands the author's talk at the Xiamen International Conference on Geometric Analysis in June 2021. We first survey the author's joint work with Jiyuan Han on the Yau-Tian-Donaldson (YTD) conjecture for $g$-weighted Kähler-Ricci solitons ($g$-solitons). We then review recent works of Apostolov-Canderbank-Jubert-Lahdili which establish a connection between a particular $g$-soliton equation with Ricci-flat Kähler cone metrics (or equivalently Sasaki-Einstein metrics). The main interest in this connection is the transformation of a possibly irregular Sa…
In this paper, we show that the uniform L^4-bound of the transverse Ricci curvature along the Sasaki-Ricci flow on a compact quasi-regular transverse Fano Sasakian (2n+1)-manifold M. When M is dimension up to seven and the space of leaves of the characteristic foliation is well-formed, we first show that any solution of the Sasaki-Ricci flow converges in the Cheeger-Gromov sense to the unique singular orbifold Sasaki-Ricci soliton on the limit space which is a S^1-orbibundle over the unique singular Kaehler-Ricci soliton on a normal projective variety with codimension two orbifold singularitie…
For Fano manifolds T. Mabuchi introduced a generalization of the Kähler-Einstein metric, which is characterized as the critical point of the Ricci-Calabi functional. We show that a Fano manifold admits Mabuchi's metric if and only if it is uniformly relatively D-stable.
Let $(M,J_0)$ be a Fano manifold which admits a Kähler-Ricci soliton, we analyze the behavior of the Kähler-Ricci flow near this soliton as we deform the complex structure $J_0$. First, we will establish an inequality of Lojasiewicz's type for Perelman's entropy along the Kähler-Ricci flow. Then we prove the convergence of Kähler-Ricci flow when the complex structure associated to the initial value lies in the kernel $Z$ or negative part of the second variation operator of Perelman's entropy. As applications, we solve the Yau-Tian-Donaldson conjecture for the existence of Kähler-Ricci solitons…
We show that a Kähler-Ricci soliton on a Fano manifold can always be smoothly approximated by a sequence of relative anticanonically balanced metrics, also called quantized Kähler-Ricci solitons. The proof uses a semiclassical estimate on the spectral gap of an equivariant Berezin transform to extend a strategy due to Donaldson, and can be seen as the quantization of a method due to Tian and Zhu, using quantized Futaki invariants as obstructions for quantized Kähler-Ricci solitons. As corollaries, we recover the uniqueness of Kähler-Ricci solitons up to automorphisms, and show how our result a…
We examine various examples of horosymmetric manifolds which exhibit interesting properties with respect to canonical metrics. In particular, we determine when the blow-up of a quadric along a linear subquadric admits Kähler-Einstein metrics, providing infinitely many examples of manifolds with no Kähler-Ricci solitons that are not K-semistable. Using a different construction, we provide an infinite family of Fano manifolds with no Kähler-Einstein metrics but which admit coupled Kähler-Einstein metrics. Finally, we elaborate on the relationship between Kähler-Ricci solitons and the more genera…
In this paper, we prove the existence of a Kahler Ricci soliton on any smooth Fano horospherical manifold by a study of the Kahler-Ricci flow. Indeed, we prove that the renormalized Kahler Ricci flow converges in the sense of Cheeger Gromov and that this limit is a Kahler-Ricci soliton.
In this paper, we give a new version of the modified Futaki invariant for a test configuration associated to the soliton action on a Fano manifold. Our version will naturally come from toric test configurations defined by Donaldson for toric manifolds. As an application, we show that the modified $K$-energy is proper for toric invariant Kähler potentials on a toric Fano manifold.
We consider canonical metrics on Fano manifolds. First we introduce a norm-type functional on Fano manifolds, which has Kahler-Einstein or Kahler-Ricci soliton as its critical point and the Kahler-Ricci flow can be viewed as its (reduced) gradient flow. We then obtain a natural lower bound of this functional. As an application, we prove that Kahler-Ricci soliton, if exists, maximizes Perelman's $μ$-functional without extra assumptions. Second we consider a conjecture proposed by S.K. Donaldson in terms of $\cK$-energy. Our simple observation is that $\cF$-functional, as $\cK$-energy, also inte…
We verify the extension to the zero section of momentum construction of Kaehler-Einstein metrics and Kaehler-Ricci solitons on the total space Y of positive rational powers of the canonical line bundle of toric Fano manifolds with possibly irregular Sasaki-Einstein metrics. More precisely, we show that the extended metric along the zero section has an expression which can be extended to Y, restricts to the associated unit circle bundle as a transversely Kaehler-Einstein (Sasakian eta-Einstein) metric scaled in the Reeb flow direction, and that there is a Riemannian submersion from the scaled S…
We prove a criterion for K-stability of a $\mathbb{Q}$-Fano spherical variety with respect to equivariant special test configurations, in terms of its moment polytope and some combinatorial data associated to the open orbit. Combined with the equivariant version of the Yau-Tian-Donaldson conjecture for Fano manifolds proved by Datar and Székelyhidi, it yields a criterion for the existence of a Kähler-Einstein metric on a spherical Fano manifold. The results hold also for modified K-stability and existence of Kähler-Ricci solitons.
