We address the characterization of genuine network nonlocal correlations, which remain highly challenging due to the non-convex nature of local correlations even in the distinct triangle scenario with three sources and three observers implementing one four-outcome measurement. We introduce a scalable causally inferred Bayesian learning framework called the Layered Local Hidden Variable Neural Network (Layered LHV-Net) to learn the local statistics in network Bell tests. Using this framework, we identify a new class of measurement settings that exhibit the most robust nonlocality compared to previously known measurements. Remarkably, our study shows that the nonlocality measure becomes non-zero only when the visibility of the shared Bell state exceeds 0.94, surpassing previously reported noise robustness thresholds. Further, we examine correlations where shared states originate from dissimilar sources, finding that nonlocality is observed only if all the involved states are sufficiently entangled. Finally, we analyze a scenario in which the sources are allowed to share classical randomness. We find that nonlocal correlations persist even when the sources share up to 3 units of randomness, whereas a local model reproducing the quantum correlations only becomes possible when 4 units of shared randomness are available. Apart from the results, the work succeeds in showing that quantum-informed machine learning approaches as foundational frameworks can greatly benefit the field of quantum information.
We study the relations between quantum coherence and quantum nonlocality, genuine quantum entanglement and genuine quantum nonlocality. We show that the coherence of a qubit state can be converted to the nonlocality of two-qubit states via incoherent operations. The results are also generalized to qudit case. Furthermore, rigorous relations between the quantum coherence of a single-partite state and the genuine multipartite quantum entanglement, as well as the genuine three-qubit quantum nonlocality are established.
Genuine multipartite entanglement has been found in some spin chain systems. However, genuine multipartite nonlocality, which is much rarer than genuine multipartite entanglement, has never been found in any spin chain system. Here we present genuine multipartite nonlocality in a spin chain system. After introducing the definition of genuine multipartite nonlocality and a multipartite Bell-type inequality, we construct a group of joint measurements for the inequality in a one-dimensional ferromagnetic $N$-qubit chain with nearest-neighbor XXZ interaction, and many violations to the inequality …
We study the dynamics of genuine multipartite entanglement for quantum systems upto four qubits interacting with general collective dephasing process. Using a computable entanglement monotone for multipartite systems, we observe the feature of freezing dynamics of genuine entanglement for three and four qubits entangled states. We compare the dynamics with that of random states and find that most states exibit this feature. We then study the effects of collective dephasing on genuine nonlocality and find out that although quantum states remain genuinely entangled yet their genuine nonlocality …
The Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt-type noncontextuality inequality and the Svetlichny inequality are derived from the Alicki-Van Ryn quantumness witness. Thus a connection between quantumness and quantum contextuality, and that between quantumness and genuine multipartite nonlocality, are established.
Quantum entanglement and nonlocality are inextricably linked. However, while entanglement is necessary for nonlocality, it is not always sufficient in the standard Bell scenario. We derive sufficient conditions for entanglement to give rise to genuine multipartite nonlocality in networks. We find that any network where the parties are connected by bipartite pure entangled states is genuine multipartite nonlocal, independently of the amount of entanglement in the shared states and of the topology of the network. As an application of this result, we also show that all pure genuine multipartite e…
Nonlocal correlations arising from measurements on tripartite entangled states can be classified into two groups, one genuinely $3-$way nonlocal and other local with respect to some bipartition. Still, whether a genuinely tripartite entangled quantum state can exhibit genuine $3-$way nonlocality, remains a challenging problem so far as measurement context is concerned. Here we introduce a novel approach in this regard. We consider three tripartite quantum states none of which is genuinely $3-$way nonlocal in a specific Bell scenario (three parties, two measurements per party, two outcomes per …
Quantum nonlocality without entanglement is a fantastic phenomenon in quantum theory. This kind of quantum nonlocality is based on the task of local discrimination of quantum states. Recently, Bandyopadhyay and Halder [Phys. Rev. A 104, L050201 (2021)] studied the problem: is there any set of orthogonal states which can be locally distinguishable, but under some orthogonality preserving local measurement, each outcome will lead to a locally indistinguishable set. We say that the set with such property has hidden nonlocality. Moreover, if such phenomenon can not arise from discarding subsystems…
Nonlocal quantum correlations among the quantum subsystems play essential roles in quantum science. The violation of the Svetlichny inequality provides sufficient conditions of genuine tripartite nonlocality. We provide tight upper bounds on the maximal quantum value of the Svetlichny operators under local filtering operations, and present a qualitative analytical analysis on the hidden genuine nonlocality for three-qubit systems. We investigate in detail two classes of three-qubit states whose hidden genuine nonlocalities can be revealed by local filtering.
Quantum $n$-body correlations cannot be explained with $(n-1)$-body nonlocality. However, this genuine $n$-body nonlocality cannot surpass certain bounds. Here we address the problem of identifying the principles responsible for these bounds. We show that, for any $n \ge 2$, the exclusivity principle, as derived from axioms about sharp measurements, and a technical assumption give the exact bounds predicted by quantum theory. This provides a unified explanation of the bounds of single-body contextuality and $n$-body nonlocality, and connects two programs towards understanding quantum theory.
The relation between entanglement and nonlocality is discussed in the case of multipartite quantum systems. We show that, for any number of parties, there exist genuinely multipartite entangled states which admit a fully local hidden variable model, i.e. where all parties are separated. Hence, although these states are entangled in the strongest possible sense, they cannot lead to Bell inequality violation considering general non-sequential local measurements. Then, we show that the nonlocality of these states can nevertheless be activated using sequences of local measurements, thus revealing …
Recently, Halder \emph{et al.} [Phys. Rev. Lett. \textbf{122}, 040403 (2019)] proposed the concept strong nonlocality without entanglement: an orthogonal set of fully product states in multipartite quantum systems that is locally irreducible for every bipartition of the subsystems. As the difficulty of the problem, most of the results are restricted to tripartite systems. Here we consider a weaker form of nonlocality called local distinguishability based genuine nonlocality. A set of orthogonal multipartite quantum states is said to be genuinely nonlocal if it is locally indistinguishable for …
The nonlocality of certain quantum states can be revealed by using local filters before performing a standard Bell test. This phenomenon, known as hidden nonlocality, has been so far demonstrated only for a restricted class of measurements, namely projective measurements. Here we prove the existence of genuine hidden nonlocality. Specifically, we present a class of two-qubit entangled states, for which we construct a local model for the most general local measurements (POVMs), and show that the states violate a Bell inequality after local filtering. Hence there exist entangled states, the nonl…
The network structure offers in principle the possibility for novel forms of quantum nonlocal correlations, that are proper to networks and cannot be traced back to standard quantum Bell nonlocality. Here we define a notion of genuine network quantum nonlocality. Our approach is operational and views standard quantum nonlocality as a resource for producing correlations in networks. We show several examples of correlations that are genuine network nonlocal, considering the so-called bilocality network of entanglement swapping. In particular, we present an example of quantum self-testing which r…
Strong nonlocality based on local distinguishability is a stronger form of quantum nonlocality recently introduced in multipartite quantum systems: an orthogonal set of multipartite quantum states is said to be of strong nonlocality if it is locally irreducible for every bipartition of the subsystems. Most of the known results are limited to sets with product states. Shi et al. presented the first result of strongly nonlocal entangled sets in [Phys. Rev. A 102, 042202 (2020)] and there they questioned the existence of strongly nonlocal set with genuine entanglement. In this work, we relate the…
While Bell nonlocality of a bipartite system is counter-intuitive, multipartite nonlocality in our many-body world turns out to be even more so. Recent theoretical study reveals in a theory-agnostic manner that genuine multipartite nonlocal correlations cannot be explained by any causal theory involving fewer-partite nonclassical resources and global shared randomness. Here we provide a Bell-type inequality as a test for genuine multipartite nonlocality in network by exploiting a matrix representation of the causal structure of a multipartite system. We further present experimental demonstrati…
We propose an optimal numerical test for genuine multipartite nonlocality based on linear programming. In particular, we consider two non-equivalent models of local hidden variables, namely the Svetlichny and the no-signaling bilocal model. While our knowledge concerning these models is well established for Bell scenarios involving two measurement settings per party, the general case based on an arbitrary number of settings is a considerably more challenging task and very little work has been done in this field. In this paper, we applied such general tests to detect and characterize genuine $n…
In this letter we propose a set of conditions on the joint probabilities as a test of genuine multipartite nonlocality without inequality. Our test is failed by all non-signaling local models in which even nonlocal correlations among some observables (not all) are allowed as long as these correlations respect the non-signaling principle. A pass of our test by a state therefore indicates that this state cannot be simulated by any non-signaling local models, i.e., the state exhibits genuine multipartite nonlocality. It turns out that all entangled symmetric n-qubit ($n \geq 3$) states pass our t…
Quantum networks allow in principle for completely novel forms of quantum correlations. In particular, quantum nonlocality can be demonstrated here without the need of having various input settings, but only by considering the joint statistics of fixed local measurement outputs. However, previous examples of this intriguing phenomenon all appear to stem directly from the usual form of quantum nonlocality, namely via the violation of a standard Bell inequality. Here we present novel examples of 'quantum nonlocality without inputs', which we believe represent a new form of quantum nonlocality, g…
Recently the authors in [Phys. Rev. Lett. 125, 090401 (2020)] considered the following scenario: Alice and Bob each have half of a pair of entangled qubit state. Bob measures his half and then passes his part to a second Bob who measures again and so on. The goal is to maximize the number of Bobs that can have an expected violation of the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt (CHSH) inequality with the single Alice. By taking the maximally entangled pure two-qubit state as an example, it has been constructively proved that arbitrarily many independent Bobs can share the nonlocality with the single Alice.…
We demonstrate genuine three-mode nonlocality based on phase space formalism. A Svetlichny-type Bell inequality is formulated in terms of the $s$-parameterized quasiprobability function. We test such tool using exemplary forms of three-mode entangled states, identifying the ideal measurement settings required for each state. We thus verify the presence of genuine three-mode nonlocality that cannot be reproduced by local or nonlocal hidden variable models between any two out of three modes. In our results, GHZ- and W-type nonlocality can be fully discriminated. We also study the behavior of gen…
The generation and verification of genuine multipartite nonlocality (GMN) is of central interest for both fundamental research and quantum technological applications, such as quantum privacy. To demonstrate GMN in measurement data, the statistics are commonly postselected by neglecting undesired data. Until now, valid postselection strategies have been restricted to local postselection. A general postselection that is decided after communication between parties can mimic nonlocality, even though the complete data are local. Here, we establish conditions under which GMN is demonstrable even if …
Nonlocality without entanglement and its subsequent generalizations offer deep information-theoretic insights and subsequently find several useful applications. Concept of genuinely nonlocal set of product states emerges as a natural multipartite generalization of this phenomenon. Existence of such sets eventually motivates the problem concerning their entanglement-assisted discrimination. Here, we construct examples of genuinely nonlocal product states for arbitrary number of parties. Strength of genuine nonlocality of these sets can be considered minimal as their perfect discrimination is po…
Nonlocality captures one of the counterintuitive features of nature that defies classical intuition. Recent investigations reveal that our physical world's nonlocality is at least tripartite; i.e., genuinely tripartite nonlocal correlations in nature cannot be reproduced by any causal theory involving bipartite nonclassical resources and unlimited shared randomness. Here, by allowing the fair sampling assumption and postselection, we experimentally demonstrate such genuine tripartite nonlocality in a network under strict locality constraints that are ensured by spacelike separating all relevan…
According to the studies of genuine tripartite nonlocality in discrete variable quantum systems conducted so far, Svetlichny inequality is considered as the best Bell-type inequality to detect genuine (three way) nonlocality of pure tripartite genuine entangled states. In the present work, we have considered another Bell-type inequality (which has been reported as the $99$-th facet of $NS_2$ local polytope in (J.-D. Bancal, et.al.,Phys. Rev.A \textbf{88}, 014102 (2013)), to reveal genuine tripartite nonlocality of generalized GHZ(Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger) class and a subclass of extended GH…

In this paper, we investigate the dynamics behaviors of genuine multipartite Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen steering (GMS) and genuine multipartite nonlocality (GMN), and explore how to recover the lost GMS and GMN under a mixed decoherence system. Explicitly, the decoherence system can be modeled by that a tripartite Werner-type state suffers from the non-Markovian regimes and one subsystem of the tripartite is under a non-inertial frame. The conditions for steerable and nonlocal states can be obtained with respect to the tripartite Werner-type state established initially. GMS and GMN are very fragi…
Standard tripartite nonlocality and genuine tripartite nonlocality can be detected by the violations of Mermin inequality and Svetlichny inequality, respectively. Since tripartite quantum nonlocality has novel applications in quantum information and quantum computation, it is important to investigate whether more than three observers can share tripartite nonlocality, simultaneously. In the present study we answer this question in the affirmative. In particular, we consider a scenario where three spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ particles are spatially separated and shared between Alice, Bob and multiple Cha…
Genuine multipartite nonlocality (GMN), the strongest form of multipartite nonlocality that describes fully collective nonlocal correlations among all experimental parties, can be observed when different distant parties each locally measure a particle from a shared entangled many-particle state. For the demonstration of GMN, the experimentally observed statistics are typically postselected: Events for which some parties do not detect a particle must be discarded. This coincidence postselection generally leads to the detection loophole that invalidates a proper nonlocality demonstration. In thi…
Local measurements on bipartite maximally entangled states can yield correlations that are maximally nonlocal, monogamous, and associated to fully random outcomes. This makes these states ideal for bipartite cryptographic tasks. Genuine-multipartite nonlocality constitutes a stronger notion of nonlocality that appears in the multipartite case. Maximal genuine-multipartite nonlocality, monogamy and full random outcomes are thus highly desired properties for multipartite correlations in intrinsically genuine-multipartite cryptographic scenarios. We prove that local measurements on Greenberger-Ho…
We show two experimental realizations of Hardy ladder test of quantum nonlocality using energy-time correlated photons, following the scheme proposed by A. Cabello \emph{et al.} [Phys. Rev. Lett. \textbf{102}, 040401 (2009)]. Unlike, previous energy-time Bell experiments, these tests require precise tailored nonmaximally entangled states. One of them is equivalent to the two-setting two-outcome Bell test requiring a minimum detection efficiency. The reported experiments are still affected by the locality and detection loopholes, but are free of the post-selection loophole of previous energy-ti…
Quantum networks are the center of many of the recent advances in quantum science, not only leading to the discovery of new properties in the foundations of quantum theory but also allowing for novel communication and cryptography protocols. It is known that networks beyond that in the paradigmatic Bell's theorem imply new and sometimes stronger forms of nonclassicality. Due to a number of practical difficulties, however, the experimental implementation of such networks remains far less explored. Going beyond what has been previously tested, here we verify the nonlocality of an experimental tr…
We investigate the dynamics of entanglement and nonlocality for multipartite quantum systems under collective dephasing. Using an exact and computable measure for genuine entanglement, we demonstrate the possibility of a non trivial phenomenon of time-invariant entanglement for multipartite quantum systems. We find that for four qubits, there exist quantum states, which are changing continously nevertheless their genuine entanglement remains constant. Based on our numerical results, we conjecture that there is no evidence of time-invariant entanglement for quantum states of three qubits. We po…
We define a family of pseudo-telepathy games using graph states that extends the Mermin games. This family also contains a game used to define a quantum probability distribution that cannot be simulated by any number of PR boxes. We extend this result proving that the probability distribution obtained by the Paley graph state on 13 vertices cannot be simulated by any number of 4-partite non local boxes and that the Paley graph states on more than $k^{2}2^{2k-2}$ vertices provides a probability distribution that cannot be simulated by k-partite nonlocal boxes

We investigate genuine multipartite nonlocality of pure permutationally invariant multimode Gaussian states of continuous variable systems, as detected by the violation of Svetlichny inequality. We identify the phase space settings leading to the largest violation of the inequality when using displaced parity measurements, distinguishing our results between the cases of even and odd total number of modes. We further consider pseudospin measurements and show that, for three-mode states with asymptotically large squeezing degree, particular settings of these measurements allow one to approach th…
We investigate the genuine multipartite nonlocality of three-mode Gaussian states of continuous variable systems. For pure states, we present a simplified procedure to obtain the maximum violation of the Svetlichny inequality based on displaced parity measurements, and we analyze its interplay with genuine tripartite entanglement measured via Renyi-2 entropy. The maximum Svetlichny violation admits tight upper and lower bounds at fixed tripartite entanglement. For mixed states, no violation is possible when the purity falls below 0.86. We also explore a set of recently derived weaker inequalit…
The violation of the Svetlichny's inequality (SI) [Phys. Rev. D, 35, 3066 (1987)] is sufficient but not necessary for genuine tripartite nonlocal correlations. Here we quantify the relationship between tripartite entanglement and the maximum expectation value of the Svetlichny operator (which is bounded from above by the inequality) for the two inequivalent subclasses of pure three-qubit states: the GHZ-class and the W-class. We show that the maximum for the GHZ-class states reduces to Mermin's inequality [Phys. Rev. Lett. 65, 1838 (1990)] modulo a constant factor, and although it is a functio…
Genuine steering is still not well understood enough in contrast to genuine entanglement and nonlocality. Here we provide a protocol which can reveal genuine steering under some restricted operations compared to the existing witnesses of genuine multipartite steering. Our method has an impression of some sort of hidden protocol in the same spirit of hidden nonlocality, which is well understood in bipartite scenario. We also introduce a genuine steering measure which indicates the enhancement of genuine steering in the final state of our protocol compared to the initial states.
We study the genuine tripartite nonlocality (GTN) and the genuine tripartite entanglement (GTE) of Dirac fields in the background of a Schwarzschild black hole. We find that the Hawking radiation degrades both the physically accessible GTN and the physically accessible GTE. The former suffers from "sudden death" at some critical Hawking temperature, and the latter approaches to the nonzero asymptotic value in the limit of infinite Hawking temperature. We also find that the Hawking effect cannot generate the physically inaccessible GTN, but can generate the physically inaccessible GTE for fermi…
We assess quantum non-locality of multiparty entangled thermal states by studying, quantitatively, both tripartite and quadripartite states belonging to the Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ), W and linear cluster-state classes and showing violation of relevant Bell-like inequalities. We discuss the conditions for maximizing the degree of violation against the local thermal character of the states and the inefficiency of the detection apparatuses. We demonstrate that such classes of multipartite entangled states can be made to last quite significantly, notwithstanding adverse operating conditio…
