We report on the detection of extended $γ$-ray emission from lobes in the radio galaxy NGC 6251 using observation data of Fermi Large Area Telescope (Fermi-LAT). The maximum likelihood analysis results show that a radio morphology template provides a better fit than a point-like source description for the observational data at a confidence level of 8.1$σ$, and the contribution of lobes accounts for more than 50\% of the total $γ$-ray flux. Furthermore, the $γ$-ray energy spectra show a significant disparity in shape between the core and lobe regions, with a curved log-parabola shape observed in core region and a power-law form observed in lobes. Neither the core region nor the northwest lobe displays the significant flux variations in the long-term $γ$-ray light curves. The broadband spectral energy distributions of both core region and northwest lobe can be will explained with a single-zone leptonic model. The $γ$-rays of core region are due to the synchrotron-self-Compton process while the $γ$-rays from northwest lobe are interpreted as inverse Compton emission of the cosmic microwave background.
We have studied the newly-discovered microquasar in NGC 7793 in radio, optical and X-ray bands. This system comprises a large (250 x 120 pc) line-emitting optical nebula, detected in H-alpha and HeII 4686. The optical nebula coincides with a synchrotron-emitting radio cocoon, with a radio luminosity about 4 times that of Cas A. The central black hole appears as a hard X-ray source with a point-like, blue optical counterpart. Two prominent radio lobes are located at the extremities of the cocoon. Just ahead of the radio lobes, we found two X-ray hot spots, which we interpret as a signature of t…
Radio and $γ$-ray measurements of large lobes of several radio galaxies provide adequate basis for determining whether emission in these widely separated spectral regions is largely by energetic electrons. This is very much of interest as there is of yet no unequivocal evidence for a significant energetic proton component to account for $γ$-ray emission by neutral pion decay. A quantitative assessment of the proton spectral distribution necessitates full accounting of the local and background radiation fields in the lobes; indeed, doing so in our recent analysis of the spectral energy distribu…
We report the results of a Suzaku X-ray imaging study of NGC6251, a nearby giant radio galaxy with intermediate FR I/II radio properties. Our pointing direction was centered on the gamma -ray emission peak recently discovered with Fermi-LAT around the position of the north-west radio lobe 15 arcmin offset from the nucleus. After subtracting two "off-source" pointings adjacent to the radio lobe, and removing possible contaminants in the XIS field of view, we found significant residual X-ray emission most likely diffuse in nature. The spectrum of the excess X-ray emission is well fit by a power …
We present results from multi-frequency polarization-sensitive Very Large Array observations of the Seyfert-starburst composite galaxy NGC3079. Our sensitive radio observations reveal a plethora of radio filaments comprising the radio lobes in this galaxy. We analyze the origin of these radio filaments in the context of existing Chandra X-ray and HST emission-line data. We do not find a one-to-one correlation of the radio filaments with the emission line filaments. The north-eastern lobe is highly polarized with polarization fractions $\sim$33% at 5 GHz. The magnetic fields are aligned with th…
Numerous authors have suggested that the ultra-high energy cosmic rays (UHECR) detected by the Pierre Auger Observatory and other cosmic-ray telescopes may be accelerated in the nuclei, jets or lobes of radio galaxies. Here I focus on stochastic acceleration in the lobes. I show that the requirement that they accelerate protons to the highest observed energies places constraints on the observable properties of radio lobes that are satisfied by a relatively small number of objects within the Greisen-Zat'sepin-Kuzmin (GZK) cutoff; if UHECR are protons and are accelerated within radio lobes, thei…
We present a polarization and Faraday rotation study of the hybrid morphology radio galaxy NGC 612 (PKS 0131-36), using Australian Telescope Compact Array observations from 1 to 3 GHz. In general, the results are consistent with an external Faraday screen close to the radio source. In the eastern FRII lobe, the RM of the hotspot increases in magnitude towards the leading edge, as well as changing sign (compared to the rest of the lobe). The Faraday depolarization is also ~3 times larger at the hotspot than elsewhere. A plausible explanation for this is significant compression of ambient magnet…
Pierre Auger observatory reported the distribution of arrival directions of the highest energy cosmic rays. These events were collected in 10 years of operations with declinations between -90$^\circ$ and +45$^\circ$. The IceCube neutrino telescope reported the detection of 82 extraterrestrial neutrinos in the High-Energy Starting Events catalog. The highest-energy neutrino event (IC35) reported in this catalog had an energy of 2004$^{+236}_{-262}$ TeV and its reconstruction was centered at RA=$208.4^\circ$ and DEC=$-55.8^\circ$ (J2000). Being Centaurus A the nearest radio-loud active Galactic …
We report XMM-Newton observations of three FR II radio galaxies at redshifts between 0.85 and 1.34, which show extended diffuse X-ray emission within the radio lobes, likely due to inverse-Compton up-scattering of the cosmic microwave background. Under this assumption, through spectrum-fitting together with archival VLA radio observations, we derive an independent estimate of the magnetic field in the radio lobes of 3C 469.1 and compare it with the equipartition value. We find concordance between these two estimates as long as the turnover in the energy distribution of the particles occurs at …
We present the results of X-ray mapping observations of the western radio lobe of the Fornax A galaxy, using the X-ray Imaging Spectrometer (XIS) onboard the Suzaku satellite with a total exposure time of 327 ks. The purpose of this study is to investigate the nature and spatial extent of the diffuse thermal emission around the lobe by exploiting the low and stable background of the XIS. The diffuse thermal emission had been consistently reported in all previous studies of this region, but its physical nature and relation to the radio lobe had not been examined in detail. Using the data set co…
We report on VLBI observations of NGC 1275 with VLBI Exploration of Radio Astrometry (VERA) and Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) during 2008 and 2013 at 15, 22 and 43 GHz. Our observations provide long-term variations in the radio flux and structure of the inner jet in NGC 1275 on sub-parsec scales, particularly at C3 which is a new radio component accountable for the recent active state in radio regime since early-2000s. We found the apparent velocity of C3 was $β_{\rm{app}} = 0.267 \pm 0.007 $, which was consistent with typical velocities of the hot spot and/or radio lobes in the young radio …
We present Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) 240 MHz observations of the nearby luminous FR I radio source 3C 270, in the group-central elliptical NGC 4261. Combining these data with reprocessed Very Large Array (VLA) 1.55 and 4.8 GHz observations, we produce spectral index maps that reveal a constant spectral index along the jets and a gradual steepening from the ends of the jets through the lobes towards the nucleus. A Jaffe & Perola (JP) model fitted to the integrated spectrum of the source gives an asymptotic low-frequency index of $α_{inj}=0.53_{-0.02}^{+0.01}$, while JP models fitte…
We present results from GMRT and Chandra observations of the NGC 1550 galaxy group. Although previously thought of as relaxed, we show evidence that gas sloshing and active galactic nucleus (AGN) heating have affected the structure of the system. The 610 and 235 MHz radio images show an asymmetric jet-lobe structure with a total size of $\sim$33 kpc, with a sharp kink at the base of the more extended western jet, and bending of the shorter eastern jet as it enters the lobe. The 235$-$610 MHz spectral index map shows that both radio lobes have steep spectral indices ($α_{235}^{610}\geq-1.5$) in…
The galaxies M82, NGC 253, NGC 1068, and NGC 4945 have been detected in gamma-rays by Fermi. Previously, we developed and tested a model for cosmic ray interactions in the starburst galaxy M82. Now, we aim to explore the differences between starburst and active galactic nuclei (AGN) environments by applying our self-consistent model to the starburst galaxy NGC 253 and the Seyfert galaxy NGC 1068. Assuming constant cosmic-ray acceleration efficiency by supernova remnants with Milky-Way parameters, we calculate the cosmic-ray proton and primary and secondary electron/positron populations, predic…
We present an analysis of the XMM-Newton observation of the wind-blown bubble NGC 2359. This is the first detection of this object in X-rays. The X-ray emission of NGC 2359 is soft and originates from a thermal plasma with a typical temperature of kT ~ 0.2 keV. A direct comparison between the one-dimensional hydrodynamic model of wind-blown bubbles and the X-ray spectrum of NGC 2359 suggests a reduced mass-loss rate of the central star in order to provide the correct value of the observed flux. The central star of the nebula, WR 7, is an X-ray source. Its emission is similar to that of other p…
The detection of high-energy astrophysical neutrinos and ultra-high-energy cosmic rays (UHECRs) provides a new way to explore sources of cosmic rays. One of the highest energy neutrino events detected by IceCube, tagged as IC35, is close to the UHECR anisotropy region detected by Pierre Auger Observatory. The nearby starburst galaxy (SBG), NGC 4945, is close to this anisotropic region and inside the mean angular error of the IC35 event. Considering the hypernovae contribution located in the SB region of NGC 4945, which can accelerate protons up to $\sim 10^{17} \, {\rm eV}$ and inject them int…
SS433, located at the center of the supernova remnant W50, is a close proximity binary system consisting of a compact star and a normal star. Jets of material are directed outwards from the vicinity of the compact star symmetrically to the east and west. Non-thermal hard X-ray emission is detected from lobes lying on both sides. Shock accelerated electrons are expected to generate sub-TeV gamma rays through the inverse-Compton process in the lobes. Observations of the western X-ray lobe region of SS433/W50 system have been performed to detect sub-TeV gamma-rays using the 10m CANGAROO-II telesc…
The origin of ultra-high energy cosmic rays (UHECRs) has been an open question for decades. Here, we use a combination of hydrodynamic simulations and general physical arguments to demonstrate that UHECRs can in principle be produced by diffusive shock acceleration (DSA) in shocks in the backflowing material of radio galaxy lobes. These shocks occur after the jet material has passed through the relativistic termination shock. Recently, several authors have demonstrated that highly relativistic shocks are not effective in accelerating UHECRs. The shocks in our proposed model have a range of non…
We investigate conditions for and consequences of spallation in radio-quiet Seyfert galaxies. The work is motivated by the recent discovery of significant line emission at 5.44 keV in Suzaku data from NGC 4051. The energy of the new line suggests an identification as Cr I Ka emission, however the line is much stronger than would be expected from material with cosmic abundances, leading to a suggestion of enhancement owing to nuclear spallation of Fe by low energy cosmic rays from the active nucleus. We find that the highest abundance enhancements are likely to take place in gas out of the plan…
We present the first high-resolution 230-470 MHz map of the Perseus cluster obtained with the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array. The high dynamic range and resolution achieved has allowed the identification of previously-unknown structures in this nearby galaxy cluster. New hints of sub-structures appear in the inner radio lobes of the brightest cluster galaxy NGC 1275. The spurs of radio emission extending into the outer X-ray cavities, inflated by past nuclear outbursts, are seen for the first time at these frequencies, consistent with spectral aging. Beyond NGC 1275, we also analyze complex r…
The Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope has detected the gamma-ray glow emanating from the giant radio lobes of the radio galaxy Centaurus A. The resolved gamma-ray image shows the lobes clearly separated from the central active source. In contrast to all other active galaxies detected so far in high-energy gamma-rays, the lobe flux constitutes a considerable portion (>1/2) of the total source emission. The gamma-ray emission from the lobes is interpreted as inverse Compton scattered relic radiation from the cosmic microwave background (CMB), with additional contribution at higher energies from th…
We present new low-frequency observations of the nearby radio galaxy Fornax A at 154 MHz with the Murchison Widefield Array, microwave flux-density measurements obtained from WMAP and Planck data, and gamma-ray flux densities obtained from Fermi data. We also compile a comprehensive list of previously published images and flux-density measurements at radio, microwave and X-ray energies. A detailed analysis of the spectrum of Fornax A between 154 MHz and 1510 MHz reveals that both radio lobes have a similar spatially-averaged spectral index, and that there exists a steep-spectrum bridge of diff…
Low luminosity active galactic nuclei are more abundant and closer to us than the luminous ones but harder to explore as they are faint. We have selected the four sources NGC 315, NGC 4261, NGC 1275, and NGC 4486, which have been detected in gamma rays byFermi-LAT. We have compiled their long-term radio, optical, X-ray data from different telescopes, analysed XMM-Newton data for NGC 4486, XMM-Newton and Swift data for NGC 315. We have analysed the Fermi-LAT data collected over the period of 2008 to 2020 for all of them. Electrons are assumed to be accelerated to relativistic energies in sub-pa…
Observations of the FR I radio galaxy Centaurus A in radio, X-ray and gamma-ray bands provide evidence for lepton acceleration up to several TeV and clues about hadron acceleration to tens of EeV. Synthesising the available observational constraints on the physical conditions and particle content in the jets, inner lobes and giant lobes of Centaurus A, we aim to evaluate its feasibility as an ultra-high-energy cosmic-ray source. We apply several methods of determining jet power and affirm the consistency of various power estimates of ~ 1 x 10^43 erg s^-1. Employing scaling relations based on p…
Recent detection of high-energy gamma-ray emission from starburst galaxies M82 and NGC 253 suggests that starburst galaxies are huge reservoirs of cosmic rays and these cosmic rays convert a significant fraction of their energy into gamma-rays by colliding with the dense interstellar medium. In this paper, we report the search for high-energy gamma-ray emission from several nearby star-forming and starburst galaxies using the 68 month data obtained with the Fermi Large Area Telescope. We found a $\sim5.5σ$ detection of gamma-ray emission above 200{\rm MeV} from a source spatially coincident wi…
Globular clusters (GCs) are emerging as a new class of gamma-ray emitters, thanks to the data obtained from the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope. By now, eight GCs are known to emit gamma-rays at energies >100~MeV. Based on the stellar encounter rate of the GCs, we identify potential gamma-ray emitting GCs out of all known GCs that have not been studied in details before. In this paper, we report the discovery of a number of new gamma-ray GCs: Liller 1, NGC 6624, and NGC 6752, and evidence for gamma-ray emission from M80, NGC 6139, and NGC 6541, in which gamma-rays were found within the GC tida…
We present observations and analysis of the polarized radio emission from the nearby radio galaxy Fornax A over 1.28--3.1 GHz, using data from the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA). In this, the first of two associated papers, we use modern broadband polarimetric techniques to examine the nature and origin of conspicuous low-polarization (low-$p$) patches in the lobes. We resolve the low-$p$ patches, and find that their low fractional polarization is associated with complicated frequency-dependent interference in the polarized signal generated by Faraday effects along the line of sight.…
The spectral energy distribution of giant lobes shows one main peak detected by the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe at low energy of $10^{-5}$ eV and a faint $γ$-ray flux imaged by Fermi Large Area Telescope at energy $\geq$ 100 MeV. On the other hand, Pierre Auger Observatory associated some ultra-high-energy cosmic rays with the direction of Centaurus A and IceCube reported 28 neutrino-induced events in a TeV - PeV energy range, although none of them related with this direction. In this work we describe the spectra for each of the lobes, the main peak with synchrotron radiation, and the…
3C 207 is a lobe-dominant radio galaxy with one sided jet and the bright knots in kpc-Mpc scale were resolved in the radio, optical and X-ray bands. It was confirmed as a gamma-ray emitter with Fermi/LAT, but it is uncertain whether the gamma-ray emission region is the core or knots due to the low spatial resolution of Fermi/LAT. We present an analysis of its Fermi/LAT data in the past 9 years. Different from the radio and optical emission from the core, it is found that the gamma-ray emission is steady without detection of flux variation over 2 sigma confidence level. This likely implies that…
We investigate the acceleration of particles via the second-order Fermi process in the lobes of giant radio galaxies. Such sites are candidates for the accelerators of ultra-high energy cosmic rays. We focus on the nearby FR I radio galaxy Centaurus A. This is motivated by the coincidence of its position with the arrival direction of several of the highest energy Auger events. The conditions necessary for consistency with the acceleration timescales predicted by quasi-linear theory are reviewed. Test particle calculations are performed in fields which guarantee electric fields with no componen…
NGC 4051 is one of the X-ray brightest and most variable Seyfert galaxies. During 2009 NGC 4051 was caught at its lowest state ever observed by $XMM-Newton$. The low source continuum emission allows a clear measurement of the He-like emission lines of N$^{+5}$ and O$^{+6}$. The exceptionally high intercombination line flux is a direct measurement of either a high density or a UV irradiated photoionized plasma. Either way, this provides an unambiguous distance diagnostic. We find that the line emitting region has a density of $\sim3\times10^{10}$ cm$^{-3}$ and distance of a few $10^{15}$ cm fro…
We report multi-epoch Very Long Baseline Interferometric (VLBI) observations of the compact radio lobe in the radio galaxy 3C84 (NGC1275) during 2016 - 2020. The image sequence of 3C84 reveals that the hotspot in the radio lobe showed the one-year long frustration in 2017 within a compact region of about 0.07 parsec, suggesting a strong collision between the jet and a compact dense cloud with the estimated average density about $(4\-- 6)\times 10^{5}~{\rm cm^{-3}}$. Although the hotspot and the radio lobe began to move south again after its breakout, the radio lobe showed a morphological trans…

We analyse the environment of the supermassive black hole (SMBH) in the centre of a massive elliptical galaxy NGC 1275 in the Perseus cluster, hosting the radio source 3C 84. We focus on the young radio lobe observed inside the estimated Bondi accretion radius. We discuss the momentum balance between the jet associated with the lobe and the surrounding gas. The results are compared with the proper motion of the radio lobe obtained with the very long baseline interferometry. We find that under assumption of a high-density environment >~ 100 cm^-3), the jet power must be comparable to the Edding…
We analyze the ultraviolet (UV) and X-ray data of NGC 1275 obtained with {\it Swift}/UVOT, XRT, BAT and {\it Fermi} Large Area Telescope over about 10 years to investigate the origin of the nuclear emission from NGC 1275. We confirm that the UV and soft/hard X-ray fluxes gradually increased along with the GeV gamma rays. At times, short-term variations in the UV or soft X-ray spectral regions showed rapid variations correlated with the GeV gamma-rays. However there was no significant correlation between the UV and soft X-rays. The UV spectrum had a narrow spectral shape that could be represent…
The millisecond pulsar PSR J1740-5340 in the globular cluster NGC 6397 shows radio eclipses over ~40% of its binary orbit. A first Chandra observation revealed indications for the X-ray flux being orbit dependent as well. In this work we analysed five data sets of archival Chandra data taken between 2000 and 2007 in order to investigate the emission across the pulsar's binary orbit. Utilizing archival Chandra observations of PSR J1740-5340, we have performed a systematic timing and spectral analysis of this binary system. Using a chi-square-test the significance for intra-binary orbital modula…
NGC 4945 has an outstanding role among the Seyfert 2 active galatic nuclei (AGN) because it is one of the few non-blazars which have been detected in the gamma-rays. Here, we analyse the high energy spectrum using Suzaku, INTEGRAL and Fermi data. We reconstruct the spectral energy distribution in the soft X-ray to gamma-ray domain in order to provide a better understanding of the processes in the AGN. We present two models to fit the high-energy data. The first model assumes that the gamma-ray emission originates from one single non-thermal component, e.g. a shock-induced pion decay caused by …
Current measurements of the spectral energy distribution in radio, X-and-gamma-ray provide a sufficiently wide basis for determining basic properties of energetic electrons and protons in the extended lobes of the radio galaxy Fornax A. Of particular interest is establishing observationally, for the first time, the level of contribution of energetic protons to the extended emission observed by the Fermi satellite. Two recent studies concluded that the observed gamma-ray emission is unlikely to result from Compton scattering of energetic electrons off the optical radiation field in the lobes, a…
The extended jets of the microquasar SS 433 have been observed in optical, radio, X-ray, and recently very-high-energy (VHE) $γ$-rays by HAWC. The detection of HAWC $γ$-rays with energies as great as 25 TeV motivates searches for high-energy $γ$-ray counterparts in the Fermi-LAT data in the 100 MeV--300 GeV band. In this paper, we report on the first-ever joint analysis of Fermi-LAT and HAWC observations to study the spectrum and location of $γ$-ray emission from SS~433. Our analysis finds common emission sites of GeV-to-TeV $γ$-rays inside the eastern and western lobes of SS 433. The total fl…
We aim to determine the properties of the central region of NGC 1052 using X-ray and radio data. NGC 1052 (z=0.005) has been investigated for decades in different energy bands and shows radio lobes and a low luminosity active galactic nucleus (LLAGN). We use X-ray images from Chandra and radio images from Very Large Array (VLA) to explore the morphology of the central area. We also study the spectra of the nucleus and the surrounding region using observations from Chandra and XMM-Newton. We find diffuse soft X-ray radiation and hotspots along the radio lobes. The spectrum of the circum-nuclear…
The role of starburst winds versus active galactic nuclei (AGN) jets/winds in the formation of the kiloparsec scale radio emission seen in Seyferts is not yet well understood. In order to be able to disentangle the role of various components, we have observed a sample of Seyfert galaxies exhibiting kpc-scale radio emission suggesting outflows, along with a comparison sample of starburst galaxies, with the EVLA B-array in polarimetric mode at 1.4 GHz and 5~GHz. Polarization is clearly detected in three Seyfert galaxies and one starburst galaxy. The Seyfert galaxy NGC\,2639, shows highly polariz…
We report the discovery with Chandra of X-ray-emitting gas associated with the jet-cloud interaction in the radio galaxy 3C 277.3 (Coma A), a source that falls in the most important power range for radio-mode feedback in the Universe. This hot gas, heated by the jet, dominates the mass of the cloud which is responsible for an extreme projected deflection of the kpc-scale radio jet. Highly absorbed X-ray emission from the nucleus of 3C 277.3 confirms that the jet lies close to the plane of the sky and so has a large intrinsic deflection. We detect group gas on the scale of the radio lobes, and …
We report the results of intensive X-ray, UV and optical monitoring of the Seyfert 1 galaxy NGC 4593 with Swift. There is no intrinsic flux-related spectral change in the the variable components in any band with small apparent variations due only to contamination by a second constant component, possibly a (hard) reflection component in the X-rays and the (red) host galaxy in the UV/optical bands. Relative to the shortest wavelength band, UVW2, the lags of the other UV and optical bands are mostly in agreement with the predictions of reprocessing of high energy emission from an accretion disc. …
We report the Fermi Large Area Telescope detection of extended gamma-ray emission from the lobes of the radio galaxy Fornax A using 6.1 years of Pass 8 data. After Centaurus A, this is now the second example of an extended gamma-ray source attributed to a radio galaxy. Both an extended flat disk morphology and a morphology following the extended radio lobes were preferred over a point-source description, and the core contribution was constrained to be < 14% of the total gamma-ray flux. A preferred alignment of the gamma-ray elongation with the radio lobes was demonstrated by rotating the radio…
In this paper the current status of γ-ray observations of starburst galaxies from hundreds of MeV up to TeV energies with space-based instruments and ground-based Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes (IACTs) is summarised. The properties of the high-energy (HE; 100 MeV < E < 100 GeV) and very-high-energy (VHE; E > 100 GeV) emission of the archetypical starburst galaxies M 82 and NGC 253 are discussed and put into context with the HE γ-ray emission detected from other galaxies that show enhanced star-formation activity such as NGC 4945 and NGC 1068. Finally, prospects to study the star-form…
NGC 253 is a nearby starburst galaxy in the Sculptor group located at a distance of 3.5 Mpc that has been suggested by some authors as a potential site for cosmic-ray acceleration up to ultra-high energies. Its nuclear region is heavily obscured by gas and dust, which prevents establishing whether or not the galaxy harbours a supermassive black hole coexisting with the starburst. Some sources have been proposed in the literature as candidates for an active nucleus. In this work, we aim at determining the implications that the presence of a supermassive black hole at the nucleus of NGC 253 migh…
The origin of ultra-high energy cosmic rays (UHECRs) is still unknown. It has recently been proposed that UHECR anisotropies can be attributed to starburst galaxies or active galactic nuclei. We suggest that the latter is more likely and that giant-lobed radio galaxies such as Centaurus A and Fornax A can explain the data.

The search for heavily obscured active galactic nuclei (AGNs) has been revitalized in the last five years by NuSTAR, which has provided a good census and spectral characterization of a population of such objects, mostly at low redshift, thanks to its enhanced sensitivity above 10 keV compared to previous X-ray facilities, and its hard X-ray imaging capabilities. We aim at demonstrating how NGC2785, a local (z=0.009) star-forming galaxy, is responsible, in virtue of its heavily obscured active nucleus, for significant contamination in the non-imaging BeppoSAX/PDS data of the relatively nearby (…
We investigate the physical structure of the AGN wind in the Seyfert-1 galaxy NGC 7469 through high-resolution X-ray spectroscopy with Chandra HETGS and photoionisation modelling. Contemporaneous data from Chandra, HST, and Swift are used to model the optical-UV-X-ray continuum and determine the spectral energy distribution (SED) at two epochs, 13 years apart. For our investigation we use new observations taken in December 2015-January 2016, and historical ones taken in December 2002. We study the impact of a change in the SED shape, seen between the two epochs, on the photoionisation of the w…
