In this paper, we are devoted to studying some sharp bounds for Hardy type operators on mixed radial-angular type function spaces. In addition, we will establish the sharp weak-type estimates for the fractional Hardy operator and its conjugate operator, respectively.
In this paper we get the sharp estimates of the $p$-adic Hardy and Hardy-Littlewood-Pólya operators on $L^q(|x|^α_pdx)$. Also, we prove that the commutators generated by the $p$-adic Hardy operators (Hardy-Littlewood-Pólya operators) and the central BMO functions are bounded on $L^q(|x|^α_pdx)$, more generally, on Herz spaces.
We introduce a Banach rearrangement invariant (tail) quasy-norm by means of Hardy's (Cesaro) average on the (measurable) functions defined on some measurable space which is a slight generalization of classical Lorentz-Marcinkiewicz norm and find for it an equivalent norm expression.
Using elementary techniques, we prove sharp anisotropic Hardy-Littlewood inequalities for positive multilinear forms. In particular, we recover an inequality proved by F. Bayart in 2018.
We get the sharp bound for weak type $(1,1)$ inequality for $n$-dimensional Hardy operator. Moreover, the precise norms of generalized Hardy operators on the type of Campanato spaces are obtained. As applications, the corresponding norms of the Riemann-Liouville integral operator and $n$-dimensional Hardy operator are deduced.
We give in this short paper the exact value for norms of two operators of Hardy-Sobolev type acting between two weight Grand Lebesgue Space (GLS) based on the whole multidimensional Euclidean space.
We prove several interesting equalities for the integrals of higher order derivatives on the homogeneous groups. As consequences, we obtain the sharp Hardy--Rellich type inequalities for higher order derivatives including both the subcritical and critical inequalities on the homogeneous groups. We also prove several uncertainty principles on the homogeneous groups. Our results seem to be new even in the case of Euclidean space $\mathbb R^n$ and give a simple proof of several classical Hardy--Rellich type inequalities in $\mathbb R^n$.
We prove a sharp integral inequality that generalizes the well known Hardy type integral inequality for negative exponents. We also give sharp applications in two directions for Muckenhoupt weights on R. This work refines the results that appear in [9].
The best constant in the usual Lp norm inequality for the centered Hardy-Littlewood maximal function on R1 is obtained for the class of all ``peak-shaped'' functions. A positive function on the line is called ``peak-shaped'' if it is positive and convex except at one point. The techniques we use include convexity and an adaptation of the standard Euler-Langrange variational method.
In this paper, we prove several new Hardy type inequalities (such as the weighted Hardy inequality, weighted Rellich inequality, critical Hardy inequality and critical Rellich inequality) for radial derivations (i.e., the derivation along the geodesic curve) on Cartan--Hadamard manifolds. By Gauss lemma, our new Hardy inequality are stronger than the classical one. We also established the improvements of these inequalities in terms of sectional curvature of underlying manifolds which illustrate the effect of curvature to these inequalities. Furthermore, we obtain some improvements of Hardy and…
We prove a generalization of a Hardy type inequality for negative exponents valid for non-negative functions defined on $(0,1]$. As an application we find the exact best possible range of $p$ such that $1<p\le q$ such that any non-decreasing $ϕ$ which satisfies the Muckenhoupt $A_q$ condition with constant $c$ upon all open subintervals of $(0,1]$ should additionally satisfy the $A_p$ condition for another possibly real constant $c'$. The result have been treated in \cite{9} based on \cite{1}, but we give in this paper an alternative proof which relies on the above mentioned inequality.
We determine the sharp constant in the Hardy inequality for fractional Sobolev spaces on half-spaces. Our proof relies on a non-linear and non-local version of the ground state representation.
A method of proving Hardy's type inequality for orthogonal expansions is presented in a rather general setting. Then sharp multi-dimensional Hardy's inequality associated with the Laguerre functions of convolution type is proved for type index $\al\in[-1/2,\infty)^d$. The case of the standard Laguerre functions is also investigated. Moreover, the sharp analogues of Hardy's type inequality involving $L^1$ norms in place of $H^1$ norms are obtained in both settings.
Sharp bounds for the $\boldsymbol{p}$-adic $\boldsymbol{n}$-dimensional fractional Hardy operator and a class of integral operators on $\boldsymbol{p}$-adic function spaces
In this paper, we study the asymptotic behaviour of the sharp constant in discrete Hardy and Rellich inequality on the lattice $\mathbb{Z}^d$ as $d \rightarrow \infty$. In the process, we proved some Hardy-type inequalities for the operators $Δ^m$ and $\nabla(Δ^m)$ for non-negative integers $m$ on a $d$ dimensional torus. It turns out that the sharp constant in discrete Hardy and Rellich inequality grows as $d$ and $d^2$ respectively as $ d \rightarrow \infty$.
This paper is a second one following our work [CLZ13] in series, considering sharp Hardy- Littlewood-Sobolev inequalities on groups of Heisenberg type. The first important breakthrough was made by Frank and Lieb in [FL12]. In this paper, analogous results are obtained for octonionic Heisenberg group.
We present unified approach to obtain sharp mean-squared and multiplicative inequalities of Hardy-Littlewood-Polyá and Taikov types for multiple closed operators acting on Hilbert space. We apply our results to establish new sharp inequalities for the norms of powers of the Laplace-Beltrami operators on compact Riemmanian manifolds and derive the well-known Taikov and Hardy-Littlewood-Polyá inequalities for functions defined on $d$-dimensional space in the limit case. Other applications include the best approximation of unbounded operators by linear bounded ones and the best approximation of o…
We prove sharp inequalities of Hardy type for functions in the Sobolev space $W^{1,p}$ on the unit sphere $\mathbb{S}^{n-1}$ in $\mathbb{R}^{n}$. We achieve this in both the subcritical and critical cases. The method we use to show optimality takes into account all the constants involved in our inequalities.
In this paper, we introduce a type of weighted multilinear Hardy operators and obtain their sharp bounds on the product of Lebesgue spaces and central Morrey spaces. In addition, we obtain sufficient and necessary conditions of the weight functions so that the commutators of the weighted multilinear Hardy operators (with symbols in central BMO space) are bounded on the product of central Morrey spaces. These results are further used to prove sharp estimates of some inequalities due to Riemann-Liouville and Weyl.
In this short article we obtain some necessary conditions for a so-called fractional Hardy-Sobolev's inequalities in multidimensional case. We also give some examples to show the sharpness of these inequalities.
Hardy's inequality on $H^p$ spaces, $p\in(0,1]$, in the context of orthogonal expansions is investigated for general basis on a subset of $\mathbb{R}^d$ with Lebesgue measure. The obtained result is applied to various Hermite, Laguerre, and Jacobi expansions. For that purpose some delicate estimates of the higher order derivatives for the underlying functions and of the associated heat kernels are proved. Moreover, sharpness of studied Hardy's inequalities is justified by a construction of an explicit counterexample, which is adjusted to all considered settings.
In this paper, by using the rotation method, we calculate that the sharp bound for $n$-dimensional Hardy operator $\mathcal{H}$ on mixed radial-angular spaces. Furthermore, we also obtain the sharp bound for $n$-dimensional fractional Hardy operator $\mathcal{H}_β$ from $L^p_{|x|}L_θ^{\bar{p}}({\Bbb R}^n)$ to $L^q_{|x|}L_θ^{\bar{q}}({\Bbb R}^n)$, where $0<β<n$, $1<p,q,\bar{p},\bar{q}<\infty$ and $1/p-1/q=β/n$. By using duality, the corresponding results for the dual operators $\mathcal{H}^*$ and $\mathcal{H}^*_β$ are also established. In addition, the sharp weak-type estimate for $\mathcal{H}$…
We consider the abstract non-negative self-adjoint operator $L$ acting on $L^2(X)$ which satisfies Davies-Gaffney estimates and the corresponding Hardy spaces $H^p_L(X)$. We assume that doubling condition holds for the metric measure space $X$. We show that a sharp Hörmander-type spectral multiplier theorem on $H^p_L(X)$ follows from restriction type estimates and the Davies-Gaffney estimates. We also describe the sharp result for the boundedness of Bochner-Riesz means on $H^p_L(X)$.
We prove some sharp Hardy inequalities for domains with a spherical symmetry. In particular, we prove an inequality for domains of the unit $n$-dimensional sphere with a point singularity, and an inequality for functions defined on the half-space $\R_+^{n+1}$} vanishing on the hyperplane $\{x_{n+1}=0\}$, with singularity along the $x_{n+1}$-axis. The proofs rely on a one-dimensional Hardy inequality involving a weight function related to the volume element on the sphere, as well as on symmetrization arguments. The one-dimensional inequality is derived in a general form.
We give sharp remainder terms of $L^{p}$ and weighted Hardy and Rellich inequalities on one of most general subclasses of nilpotent Lie groups, namely the class of homogeneous groups. As consequences, we obtain analogues of the generalised classical Hardy and Rellich inequalities and the uncertainty principle on homogeneous groups. We also prove higher order inequalities of Hardy-Rellich type, all with sharp constants. A number of identities are derived including weighted and higher order types.
In this paper, we obtained the Dunkl analogy of classical Lp Hardy inequality for $p > N + 2γ$ with sharp constant $\left(\frac{p-N-2γ}{p}\right)^{p}$, where $2γ$ is the degree of weight function associated with Dunkl operators, and $L^p$ Hardy inequalities with distant function in some G-invariant domains. Moreover we proved two sharp Hardy-Rellich type inequalities for Dunkl operators.
We obtain in this short article the non-asymptotic estimations for the norm of (generalized) Cesaro-Hardy integral operators in the so-called Bilateral Grand Lebesgue Spaces. We also give examples to show the sharpness of these inequalities.
We show that the sharp constant in the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality can be derived using the method that we employed earlier for a similar inequality on the Heisenberg group. The merit of this proof is that it does not rely on rearrangement inequalities; it is the first one to do so for the whole parameter range.
We give a new proof of certain cases of the sharp HLS inequality. Instead of symmetric decreasing rearrangement it uses the reflection positivity of inversions in spheres. In doing this we extend a characterization of the minimizing functions due to Li and Zhu.
We establish a sharp Adams-type inequality invoking a Hardy inequality for any even dimension. This leads to a non compact Sobolev embedding in some Orlicz space. We also give a description of the lack of compactness of this embedding in the spirit of \cite{Bahouri}.

We obtain in this short article the non-asymptotic exact estimations for the norm of (generalized) weighted Hardy-Littlewood average integral operator in the so-called Bilateral Grand Lebesgue Spaces. We also give examples to show the sharpness of these inequalities.
In this paper we describe the Euler semigroup $\{e^{-t\mathbb{E}^{*}\mathbb{E}}\}_{t>0}$ on homogeneous Lie groups, which allows us to obtain various types of the Hardy-Sobolev and Gagliardo-Nirenberg type inequalities for the Euler operator $\mathbb{E}$. Moreover, the sharp remainder terms of the Sobolev type inequality, maximal Hardy inequality and $|\cdot|$-radial weighted Hardy-Sobolev type inequality are established.
We study sharp growth conditions for the boundedness of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function in the generalized Orlicz spaces. We assume that the generalized Orlicz function $ϕ(x, t)$ satisfies the standard continuity properties (A0), (A1) and (A2). We show that if the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function is bounded from the generalized Orlicz space to itself then $ϕ(x,t)/ t^p$ is almost increasing for large $t$ for some $p>1$. Moreover we show that the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function is bounded from the generalized Orlicz space $L^ϕ(\mathbb{R}^n)$ to itself if and only if $ϕ$ is weakly equiva…
We obtain the sharp constant for the Hardy-Sobolev inequality involving the distance to the origin. This inequality is equivalent to a limiting Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequality. In three dimensions, in certain cases the sharp constant coincides with the best Sobolev constant.
In this paper, we prove that the distance function of an open connected set in $\mathbb R^{n+1}$ with a $C^{2}$ boundary is superharmonic in the distribution sense if and only if the boundary is {\em weakly mean convex}. We then prove that Hardy inequalities with a sharp constant hold on {weakly mean convex} $C^{2}$ domains. Moreover, we show that the {weakly mean convexity} condition cannot be weakened. We also prove various improved Hardy inequalities on mean convex domains along the line of Brezis-Marcus \cite{BM}.
We prove a trace Hardy type inequality with the best constant on the polyhedral convex cones which generalizes recent results of Alvino et al. and of Tzirakis on the upper half space. We also prove some trace Hardy-Sobolev-Maz'ya type inequalities which generalize the recent results of Filippas et al.. In applications, we derive some Hardy type inequalities and Hardy-Sobolev-Maz'ya type inequalities for fractional Laplacian. Finally, we prove the logarithmic Sobolev trace inequalities and logarithmic Hardy trace inequalities on the upper half spaces. The best constants in these inequalities ar…
In this paper, we prove a Hardy--Moser--Trudinger inequality in the unit ball $\mathbb B^n$ in $\mathbb R^n$ which improves both the classical singular Moser--Trudinger inequality and the classical Hardy inequality at the same time. More precisely, we show that for any $β\in [0,n)$ there exists a constant $C>0$ depending only on $n$ and $β$ such that \[ \sup_{u\in W^{1,n}_0(\mathbb B^n), \mathcal H(u) \leq 1}\int_{\mathbb B^n} e^{(1-\fracβn)α_n |u|^{\frac n{n-1}}} |x|^{-β} dx \leq C \] where $α_n = n ω_{n-1}^{\frac1{n-1}}$ with $ω_{n-1}$ being the surface area of the unit sphere $S^{n-1} = \pa…
Let ${\mathcal X}$ be an RD-space with $μ({\mathcal X})=\infty$, which means that ${\mathcal X}$ is a space of homogeneous type in the sense of Coifman and Weiss and its measure has the reverse doubling property. In this paper, we characterize the atomic Hardy spaces $H^p_{\rm at}(\{\mathcal X})$ of Coifman and Weiss for $p\in(n/(n+1),1]$ via the radial maximal function, where $n$ is the "dimension" of ${\mathcal X}$, and the range of index $p$ is the best possible. This completely answers the question proposed by Ronald R. Coifman and Guido Weiss in 1977 in this setting, and improves on a dee…
In this paper, we got several sharp Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev-type inequalities on quaternionic Heisenberg groups (a general form due to Folland and Stein [FS74]), using the symmetrization-free method in a paper of Frank and Lieb [FL12], where they considered the analogues on classical Heisenberg group. First, we give the sharp Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequalities, both on quaternionic Heisenberg group and its equivalent on quaternionic sphere for exponent bigger than 4. The extremizer, as we guess, is almost uniquely constant function on sphere. Then their dual form, sharp conformally-invaria…
First, we correct the proof presented in [Abimbola Abolarinwa, Kamilu Rauf, Songting Yin, Sharp $L^{p}$ Hardy type and uncertainty principle inequalities on the sphere, Journal of Mathematical Inequalities, 13, 4 (2019), 1011 - 1022] and obtain a correct sharp version of an $L^{p}$ Hardy inequality on the sphere $\mathbb{S}^{n}$ for all $2\leq p<n$. Secondly, we prove sharp critical exponent $L^{n}$ inequalities on the sphere $\mathbb{S}^{n}$ in $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}$, $n\geq 2$. The singularity in this problem is the geodesic distance from an arbitrary point on the sphere.
In this paper we prove higher order Poincaré inequalities involving radial derivatives namely, \begin{equation*} \int_{\mathbb{H}^{N}} |\nabla_{r,\mathbb{H}^{N}}^{k} u|^2 \, {\rm d}v_{\mathbb{H}^{N}} \geq \bigg(\frac{N-1}{2}\bigg)^{2(k-l)} \int_{\mathbb{H}^{N}} |\nabla_{r,\mathbb{H}^{N}}^{l} u|^2 \, {\rm d}v_{\mathbb{H}^{N}} \ \ \text{ for all } u\in H^k(\mathbb{H}^{N}), \end{equation*} where underlying space is $N$-dimensional hyperbolic space $\mathbb{H}^{N}$, $0\leq l<k$ are integers and the constant $\big(\frac{N-1}{2}\big)^{2(k-l)}$ is sharp. Furthermore we improve the above inequalities …

We study the sharp constant in the Hardy inequality for fractional Sobolev spaces defined on open subsets of the Euclidean space. We first list some properties of such a constant, as well as of the associated variational problem. We then restrict the discussion to open convex sets and compute such a sharp constant, by constructing suitable supersolutions by means of the distance function. Such a method of proof works only for $s\,p\ge 1$ or for $Ω$ being a half-space. We exhibit a simple example suggesting that this method can not work for $s\,p<1$ and $Ω$ different from a half-space. The case…
This is the second in our series of papers concerning some reversed Hardy--Littlewood--Sobolev inequalities. In the present work, we establish the following sharp reversed Hardy--Littlewood--Sobolev inequality on the half space $\mathbb R_+^n$ \[ \int_{\mathbb R_+^n} \int_{\partial \mathbb R_+^n} f(x) |x-y|^λg(y) dx dy \geqslant \mathscr C_{n,p,r} \|f\|_{L^p(\partial \mathbb R_+^n)} \, \|g\|_{L^r(\mathbb R_+^n)} \] for any nonnegative functions $f\in L^p(\partial \mathbb R_+^n)$, $g\in L^r(\mathbb R_+^n)$, and $p,r\in (0,1)$, $λ> 0$ such that $(1-1/n)1/p + 1/r -(λ-1) /n =2$. Some estimates for…
In this paper we consider a generalized version of Carleman's inequality. An equivalent version of it states that $\|f\|_{A_α^{2α}}\leq\|f\|_{H^2}$, where $f$ is a holomorphic function and $α>1$. If the norms $\|f\|_{A_α^{2α}}$ are decreasing in $α$, then the inequality holds for $f$. For a dense set of functions, we calculate the derivative of the norms $\|f\|_{A_α^{2α}}$ in $α$ and give sufficient conditions for this derivative to be non-positive. As an application, we prove the inequality for linear combinations of two reproducing kernels. Some numerical evidences are also provided.
This is the first in our series of papers concerning some Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev type inequalities. In the present paper, the main objective is to establish the following sharp reversed HLS inequality in the whole space $\mathbb R^n$ \[\int_{\mathbb R^n} \int_{\mathbb R^n} f(x) |x-y|^λg(y) dx dy \geqslant \mathscr C_{n,p,r} \|f\|_{L^p (\mathbb R^n)}\, \|g\|_{L^r (\mathbb R^n)}\] for any nonnegative functions $f\in L^p(\mathbb R^n)$, $g\in L^r(\mathbb R^n)$, and $p,r\in (0,1)$, $λ> 0$ such that $1/p + 1/r -λ/n =2$. We will also explore some estimates for $\mathscr C_{n,p,r}$ and the existence…
To estimate the optimal constant in Hardy-type inequalities, some variational formulas and approximating procedures are introduced. The known basic estimates are improved considerably. The results are illustrated by typical examples. It is shown that the sharp factor is meaningful for each finite interval and a classical sharp model is re-examined.
