We construct and analyze unfolded off-shell systems for chiral and vector supermultiplets using multispinor formalism and external currents. We find that auxiliary variables of multispinor formalism allow for the interesting reorganization of the unfolded off-shell modules: one can unify dynamical and auxiliary scalars in the Wess-Zumino model, as well as an auxiliary pseudoscalar and a zero-helicity subsector in the vector supermultiplet, so that the resulting unfolded equations get simplified, while various constraints like chirality, electric current conservation and P-oddness of the pseudoscalar can be formulated entirely in terms of these auxiliary variables.
We present an unfolded off-shell formulation for free massless higher-spin fields in 4d Minkowski space in terms of spinorial variables. This system arises from the on-shell one by the addition of external higher-spin currents, for which we find an unfolded description. Also we show that this off-shell system can be interpreted as Schwinger-Dyson equations and restore two-point functions of higher-spin fields this way.
Within unfolded dynamics approach, we represent actions and conserved charges as elements of cohomology of the $L_\infty$ algebra underlying the unfolded formulation of a given dynamical system. The unfolded off-shell constraints for symmetric fields of all spins in Minkowski space are shown to have the form of zero curvature and covariant constancy conditions for 1-forms and 0-forms taking values in an appropriate star product algebra. Unfolded formulation of Yang-Mills and Einstein equations is presented in a closed form.
We show how manifestly supersymmetric action for Wess-Zumino model can be constructed within the unfolded dynamics approach. The off-shell unfolded system for N = 1, D = 4 scalar supermultiplet is found. The action is presented in the form of integral of a closed 4-form over any (4, 0) surface in superspace as well as a superspace integral of an integral form or a chiral integral form. The proposed method is argued to provide a most general tool for the analysis of manifestly supersymmetric functionals.
We construct an unfolded system for off-shell fields of arbitrary integer spin in 4d anti-de Sitter space. To this end we couple an on-shell system, encoding Fronsdal equations, to external Fronsdal currents for which we find an unfolded formulation. We present a reduction of the Fronsdal current system which brings it to the unfolded Fierz-Pauli system describing massive fields of arbitrary integer spin. Reformulating off-shell higher-spin system as the set of Schwinger-Dyson equations we compute propagators of higher-spin fields in the de Donder gauge directly from the unfolded equations. We…
Unfolded equations of motion for N = 1, D = 4 scalar supermultiplet are presented. We show how the superspace formulation emerges from the unfolded formulation. To analyze supersymmetric unfolded equations we extend the σ_-cohomology technics to the case with several operators σ_. The role of higher σ_-cohomology in the derivation of constraints is emphasized and illustrated by the example of scalar supermultiplet.
Conformal geometry is studied using the unfolded formulation à la Vasiliev. Analyzing the first-order consistency of the unfolded equations, we identify the content of zero-forms as the spin-two off-shell Fradkin-Tseytlin module of $\mathfrak{so}(2,d)$. We sketch the nonlinear structure of the equations and explain how Weyl invariant densities, which Type-B Weyl anomaly consist of, could be systematically computed within the unfolded formulation. The unfolded equation for conformal geometry is also shown to be reduced to various on-shell gravitational systems by requiring additional algebraic …
The interplay between off-shell and on-shell unfolded systems is analysed. The formulation of invariant constraints that put an off-shell system on shell is developed by adding new variables and derivation in the target space, that extends the original $Q$-derivation of the unfolded system to a bicomplex. The analogue of the Euler-Lagrange equations in the unfolded dynamics is suggested. The general class of invariant on-shell equation constraints is defined in cohomological terms. The necessary and sufficient condition for the on-shell equation constraints being Euler-Lagrange for some Lagran…
Using N=2 off-shell supergravity in five dimensions, we supersymmetrize the brane world scenario of Randall and Sundrum. We extend their construction to include supersymmetric matter at the fixpoints.
We review the construction of 4D, N =2 globally supersymmetric off-shell nonlinear sigma models whose target spaces are the cotangent bundles of Kähler manifolds.
Recently, entropy of static supersymmetric black holes in $AdS_6$ was microscopically counted by the topologically twisted index of five-dimensional superconformal field theories. However, the AdS/CFT dictionary states that the partition function of the boundary field theory corresponds to the on-shell action of the bulk quantum gravity. In this paper, we aim to explain the microscopic counting of black hole entropy by the topologically twisted index. We calculate the renormalized on-shell action and show that the on-shell action equals the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of the supersymmetric blac…
We present evidence of the existence of a 1D, N = 16 SUSY hologram that can be used to understand representation theory aspects of a 4D, N = 4 supersymmetrical vector multiplet. In this context, the long-standing off-shell "SUSY problem" for the 4D, N = 4 Maxwell supermultiplet is precisely formulated as a problem in linear algebra.
We propose a construction for nonlinear off-shell gauge field theories based on a constrained system quantized in the sense of deformation quantization. The key idea is to consider the star-product BFV--BRST master equation as an equation of motion. The construction is formulated in terms of the BRST extention of the unfolded formalism that can also be understood as an appropriate generalization of the AKSZ procedure. As an application, we consider a very simple constrained system, a quantized scalar particle, and show that it gives rise to an off-shell higher-spin gauge theory that automatica…
Based on the rational R-matrix of the supersymmetric sl(2,1) matrix difference equations are solved by means of a generalization of the nested algebraic Bethe ansatz. These solutions are shown to be of highest-weight with respect to the underlying graded Lie algebra structure.
An off-shell formulation for 6 and 10 dimensions simple supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories is presented. While the fermionic fields couple to left action of S^3 and S^7 respectively, the auxiliary ones couple to right action (and vice versa). To close the algebra off-shell, left and right actions must commute. For 6 dimensions quaternions work fine. The 10 dimensional case needs special care. Pure spinors and soft Lie algebra (algebra with structure functions instead of structure constants) are essential. Some tools useful for constructing the superspace are also derived. We show how to relate…
The complete classification of the irreducible representations of the N-extended one-dimensional supersymmetry algebra linearly realized on a finite number of fields is presented. Off-shell invariant actions of one-dimensional supersymmetric sigma models are constructed. The role of both Clifford algebras and the Cayley-Dickson's doublings of algebras in association with the N-extended supersymmetries is discussed. We prove in specific examples that the octonionic structure constants enter the N=8 invariant actions as coupling constants. We further explain how to relate one-dimensional supersy…
We discuss various aspects of rigid supersymmetry within minimal N=1 off-shell supergravity using the old and new minimal formulations both in Lorentzian and Euclidean signatures. In particular, we construct all rigid supersymmetry backgrounds with a hypersurface orthogonal Killing vector. In the Lorentzian signature we show that AdS_4 provides a rigid supersymmetric background in both formulations albeit with different amounts of preserved supersymmetry. In the Euclidean signature we find new backgrounds of the old-minimal supergravity, including squashed four-spheres and a half-BPS version o…
We construct, for the first time, an off-shell supersymmetric continuous spin gauge theory in 4-dimensional Minkowski spacetime, in both constrained and unconstrained Lagrangian formulations. As an extension to the on-shell description [1], we employ an auxiliary field to close the algebra of supersymmetry transformations off-shell. The 4d $\mathcal{N}=1$ massless continuous spin supermultiplet is then denoted by $(\mathrmΦ, \mathrm{H} \,; \mathrmΨ)$, comprised of a dynamical and a non-dynamical complex scalar continuous spin gauge fields $\mathrmΦ$ and $\mathrm{H}$, as well as a Dirac continu…
We formulate a supersymmetric theory in which both a dilaton and a second-rank tensor play roles of compensators. The basic off-shell multiplets are a linear multiplet (B_{μν}, χ, ϕ) and a vector multiplet (A_μ, ł; C_{μνρ}), where ϕand B_{\m\n} are respectively a dilaton and a second-rank tensor. The third-rank tensor C_{μνρ} in the vector multiplet is 'dual' to the conventional D-field with 0 on-shell or 1 off-shell degree of freedom. The dilaton ϕis absorbed into one longitudinal component of A_μ, making it massive. Initially, B_{μν} has 1 on-shell or 3 off-shell degrees of freedom, but it i…
We present some generalities of unfolded on-shell dynamics that are useful in analysing the BMV conjecture for mixed-symmetry fields in constantly curved backgrounds. In particular we classify the Lorentz-covariant Harish-Chandra modules generated from primary Weyl tensors of arbitrary mass and shape, and in backgrounds with general values of the cosmological constant. We also discuss the unfolded notion of local degrees of freedom in theories with and without gravity and with and without massive deformation parameters, using the language of Weyl zero-form modules and their duals.
We develop a complete off-shell Lagrangian description of the free $4D, {\cal N}=1$ supersymmetric theory of infinite spin. Bosonic and fermionic fields are formulated in terms of spin-tensor fields with dotted and undotted indices. The corresponding Lagrangians for bosonic and fermionic infinite spin fields entering into the on-shell supersymmetric model are derived within the BRST method. Lagrangian for this supersymmetric model is written in terms of the complex infinite spin bosonic field and infinite spin fermionic Weyl field subject to supersymmetry transformations. The fields involved i…
In order to study in a regularisation free manner the renormalisability of d=2 supersymmetric non-linear $\si$ models, one has to use the algebraic BRS methods ; moreover, in the absence of an off-shell formulation, one has often to deal with open algebras. We then recall in a pedagogical and non technical manner the standard methods used to handle these questions and illustrate them on N=1 supersymmetric non-linear $\si$ model in component fields, giving the first rigorous proof of their renormalisability. In the special case of compact homogeneous manifolds (non-linear $\si$ model on a coset…
We use a Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST) superspace approach to formulate off-shell nilpotent BRST and anti-BRST transformations in four dimensional N=1 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory. The method is based on the possibility of introducing auxiliary fields through the supersymmetric transformations of the superpartener of the gauge potential associated to a supersymmetric Yang-Mills connection. These fields are required to achieve the off-shell nilpotency of the BRST and anti-BRST operators. We also show how this off-shell structure is used to build the BRST and anti-BRST invariant gauge-fix…
We present a manifestly supersymmetric off-shell formulation of a wide class of $(4,4)$ $2D$ sigma models with torsion and both commuting and non-commuting left and right complex structures in the harmonic superspace with a double set of $SU(2)$ harmonic variables. The distinguishing features of the relevant superfield action are: (i) in general nonabelian and nonlinear gauge invariance ensuring a correct number of physical degrees of freedom; (ii) an infinite tower of auxiliary fields. This action is derived from the most general one by imposing the integrability condition which follows from …
Starting from the action of $(4,4)$ $2D$ twisted multiplets in the harmonic superspace with a double set of $SU(2)$ harmonic variables, we present its generalization which provides an off-shell description of a wide class of $(4,4)$ sigma models with torsion and non-commuting left and right complex structures. The distinguishing features of the action constructed are: (i) a nonabelian and in general nonlinear gauge invariance ensuring a correct number of physical degrees of freedom; (ii) an infinite tower of auxiliary fields. For a particular class of such models we explicitly demonstrate the …
We show that it is possible to distinguish between different off-shell completions of supergravity at the on-shell level. We focus on the comparison of the ``new minimal'' formulation of off-shell four-dimensional N=1 supergravity with the ``old minimal'' formulation. We show that there are 3-manifolds which admit supersymmetric compactifications in the new-minimal formulation but which do not admit supersymmetric compactifications in other formulations. Moreover, on manifolds with boundary the new-minimal formulation admits ``singleton modes'' which are absent in other formulations.
We determine the off-shell N=1 supersymmetry transformation rules for a tensor-Yang-Mills system in which the tensor field transforms in a nontrivial representation of the Yang-Mills group, and there is an additional vector multiplet in the same representation. We then show that this system describes a massive tensor multiplet coupled to Yang-Mills in which the additional vector multiplet is eaten by the tensor field. Next, we construct an action which consists of four separately off-shell supersymmetric pieces and find that integrating out the auxiliary fields gives rise to an infinite number…
In the present paper we explicitly construct the on-shell supersymmetric component action for a 3-brane moving in D=8 within the nonlinear realizations framework. Similarly to the previously considered case of the super 3-brane in D=6, all ingredients entering the component action follow from the nonlinear realizations approach. The component action of the 3-brane possesses N=4, d=4 supersymmetry partially broken to N=2, d=4 one. The basic Goldstone superfield is the generalized version of N=2,d=4 hypermultiplet. The action has a structure, such that all terms of higher orders in the fermions …
Using the supersymmetric (SUSY) invariant restrictions on the (anti-)chiral supervariables, we derive the off-shell nilpotent symmetries of the general one (0 + 1)-dimensional N = 2 SUSY quantum mechanical (QM) model which is considered on a (1, 2)-dimensional supermanifold (parametrized by a bosonic variable t and a pair of Grassmannian variables θand \barθwith θ^2 = \barθ^2 = 0, θ\barθ+ \barθθ= 0). We provide the geometrical meanings to the two SUSY transformations of our present theory which are valid for any arbitrary type of superpotential. We express the conserved charges and Lagrangian …
In the present and accompanying papers we explicitly construct the on-shell supersymmetric component actions for 3-branes moving in D=6 and in D=8 within the nonlinear realizations framework. In the first paper we apply our schema to construct the action of supersymmetric 3-brane in D=6. It turns out that all ingredients entering the component action can be obtained almost algorithmically by using the nonlinear realizations approach. Within this approach, properly adapted to the construction of on-shell component actions, we pay much attention to broken supersymmetry. Doing so, we were able to…
Field theories with p-form gauge potentials can possess ``hidden'' symmetries leaving the field strengths invariant on-shell without being gauge symmetries on-shell. The relevance of such symmetries to supersymmetric models is discussed. They provide central charges of supersymmetry algebras, play a particular role in duality relations, and lead to peculiar interactions. A multiplet of N=2 supersymmetry in four dimensions with two hidden central charges is presented.
The entropy function for five-dimensional supersymmetric black rings, which are solutions of $U(1)^{3}$ minimal supergravity, is calculated via both on-shell and off-shell formalism. We find that at the tree level, the entropy function obtained from both perspectives can reproduce the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy. We also compute the higher order corrections to the entropy arising form five-dimensional Gauss-Bonnet term as well as supersymmetric $R^{2}$ completion respectively and compare the results with previous microscopic calculations.
We study on-shell and off-shell properties of the supersymmetric sinh-Gordon and perturbed SUSY Yang-Lee models using the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz and form factors. Identifying the supersymmetric models with the Eight Vertex Free Fermion Model, we derive inversion relation for inhomogeneous transfer matrix and TBA equations and get correct UV results. We obtain two-point form factors of the trace of energy-momentum tensor using the Watson equations and their SUSY transformations. As an application, we compute the UV central charge using these form factors and spectral representation of the $…
We analyse with the algebraic, regularisation independant, cohomological B.R.S. methods, the renormalisability of torsionless N=2 and N= 4 supersymmetric non-linear $\si$ models built on Kähler spaces. Surprisingly enough with respect to the common wisdom, in the case of N=2 supersymmetry, we obtain an anomaly candidate, at least in the compact Kähler Ricci-flat case. If its coefficient does differ from zero, such anomaly would imply the breaking of global N=2 supersymmetry and get into trouble some schemes of superstring compactification as such non-linear $\si$ models offer candidates for th…
We formulate a unimodular N=1, d=4 supergravity theory off shell. We see that the infinitesimal Grassmann parameters defining the unimodular supergravity transformations are constrained and show that the conmutator of two infinitesinal unimodular supergravity transformations closes on transverse diffeomorphisms, Lorentz transformations and unimodular supergravity transformations. Along the way, we also show that the linearized theory is a supersymmetric theory of gravitons and gravitinos. We see that de Sitter and anti-de Sitter spacetimes are non-supersymmetric vacua of our unimodular supergr…
We discuss general supersymmetric brane configurations in flux backgrounds of string and M-theory and derive a necessary condition for the worldvolume theory to be supersymmetric on a given curved manifold. This condition resembles very much the conditions found from coupling a supersymmetric field theory to off-shell supergravity but can be derived in any dimension and for up to sixteen supercharges. Apart from the topological twist, all couplings appearing in the supersymmetry condition are linked to fluxes in the bulk. We explicitly derive the condition for D3-, M2- and M5-branes, in which …
We construct an off-shell N=3 supersymmetric extension of the abelian D=4 Born-Infeld action starting from the action of supersymmetric Maxwell theory in N=3 harmonic superspace. A crucial new feature of the N=3 super BI action is that its interaction part contains only terms of the order 4k in the N=3 superfield strengths. The correct component bosonic BI action arises as the result of elimination of auxiliary tensor field which is present in the off-shell N=3 vector multiplet in parallel with the gauge field strength. In this new Legendre-type representation, the bosonic BI action is fully s…
We construct three-dimensional, $\mathcal{N}=1$ off-shell supersymmetric massive Yang-Mills (YM) theory, whose YM equation is "third way" consistent. This means that the field equations of this model do not come from variation of a local action without additional fields, yet the gauge covariant divergence of the YM equation still vanishes on-shell. To achieve this, we modify the massive Majorana spinor equation so that its supersymmetry variation gives the modified YM equation, whose bosonic part coincides with the third way consistent pure massive YM model.
Continuing our exploration of maximally supersymmetric gauge theories (MSYM) deformed by higher dimensional operators, in this paper we consider an off-shell approach based on pure spinor superspace and focus on constructing supersymmetric deformations beyond the first order. In particular, we give a construction of the Batalin-Vilkovisky action of an all-order non-Abelian Born-Infeld deformation of MSYM in the non-minimal pure spinor formalism. We also discuss subtleties in the integration over the pure spinor superspace and the relevance of Berkovits-Nekrasov regularization.
We introduce a manifestly little group covariant on-shell superspace for massive particles in four dimensions using the massive spinor helicity formalism. This enables us to construct massive on-shell superfields and fully utilize on-shell symmetry considerations to derive all possible $\mathcal{N}=1$ three-particle amplitudes for particles of spin as high as one, as well as some simple amplitudes for particles of any spin. Throughout, the conceptual and computational simplicity of this approach is exhibited.
We expand the Bethe/Gauge dictionary between the XXX Heisenberg spin chain and 2d N = (2,2) supersymmetric gauge theories to include aspects of the algebraic Bethe ansatz. We construct the wave functions of off-shell Bethe states as orbifold defects in the A-twisted supersymmetric gauge theory and study their correlation functions. We also present an alternative description of off-shell Bethe states as boundary conditions in an effective N = 4 supersymmetric quantum mechanics. Finally, we interpret spin chain R-matrices as correlation functions of Janus interfaces for mass parameters in the su…
Global supersymmetries of the S-matrices of N = 2, 4, 8 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories in three spacetime dimensions (without matter hypermultiplets) are shown to be SU(1|1), SU(2|2) and SU(2|2) X SU(2|2) respectively. These symmetries are not manifest in the off-shell Lagrangian formulations of these theories. A direct map between these symmetries and their representations in terms of the Yang-Mills degrees of freedom and the corresponding quantities in Chern-Simons-Matter theories with N >= 4 supersymmetry is also obtained. Dimensional reduction of the on-shell observables of the Yang-Mi…
In [arXiv:0808.1677] 3 dimensional field theories are proposed to on-shell represent N=8 SUSY algebra and SO(7) or SO(4)xSO(4) subgroups of full SO(8) automorphism. They are theories of 8 scalar and 8 spinor matrix fields with Yukawa, quartic and sextic self-interactions. This note is devoted to superfield and off-shell formulation of the theory. Scalar superfields are proposed to represent scalar supermultiplets. A renormalizable action with quadratic and quartic self-interactions is proposed to govern their dynamics.
In this paper, the low-energy effective dynamics of M-theory, eleven-dimensional supergravity, is taken off-shell in a manifestly supersymmetric formulation. We show that a previously proposed relaxation of the superspace torsion constraints does indeed accommodate a current supermultiplet which lifts the equations of motion corresponding to the ordinary second order derivative supergravity lagrangian. Whether the auxiliary fields obtained this way can be used to construct an off-shell lagrangian is not yet known. We comment on the relation and application of this completely general formalism …
We construct supersymmetric completions of various curvature squared terms in five dimensional supergravity with eight supercharges. Adopting the dilaton Weyl multiplet, we obtain the minimal off-shell supersymmetric Ricci scalar squared as well as all vector multiplets coupled curvature squared invariants. Since the minimal off-shell supersymmetric Riemann tensor squared and Gauss-Bonnet combination in the dilaton Weyl multiplet have been obtained before, both the minimal off-shell and the vector multiplets coupled curvature squared invariants in the dilation Weyl multiplet are complete. We a…
In this work, we propose the N=2 and N=4 supersymmetric extensions realized off-shell of the Abelian gauge model with Chern-Simons Lorentz-breaking term. We start with the theory in 6 and 10 dimensions and reduce à la Scherk the space-like coordinates to carry out the D=5 model in both cases. Then, we reduce the fifth space-like coordinate using the Legendre transformation technique for dimensional reduction. The last reduction method provides us with auxiliary fields that yield the superalgebra closed off-shell. Since the reduced bosonic Lagrangians from $6D$ and $10D$ are the same as the N=2…
Twisting of off-shell supermultiplets in models with 1+1-dimensional spacetime has been discovered in 1984, and was shown to be a generic feature of off-shell representations in worldline supersymmetry two decades later. It is shown herein that in all supersymmetric models with spacetime of four or more dimensions, this off-shell supermultiplet twisting, if non-trivial, necessarily maps regular (non-ghost) supermultiplets to ghost supermultiplets. This feature is shown to be ubiquitous in all fully off-shell supersymmetric models with (BV/BRST-treated) constraints.
We determine the most general form of off-shell N=(1,1) supergravity field configurations in three dimensions by requiring that at least one off-shell Killing spinor exists. We then impose the field equations of the topologically massive off-shell supergravity and find a class of solutions whose properties crucially depend on the norm of the auxiliary vector field. These are spacelike-squashed and timelike-stretched AdS_3 for the spacelike and timelike norms, respectively. At the transition point where the norm vanishes, the solution is null warped AdS_3. This occurs when the coefficient of th…
Off-shell formulations of supergravities allow one to add closed-form higher-derivative super-invariants that are separately supersymmetric to the usual lower-derivative actions. In this paper we study four-dimensional off-shell N=1 supergravity where additional super-invariants associated with the square of the Weyl tensor and the square of the Ricci scalar are included. We obtain a variety of solutions where the metric describes domain walls, Lifshitz geometries, and also solutions of a kind known as gyratons. We find that in some cases the solutions can be supersymmetric for appropriate cho…
A systematic off-shell reduction scheme from five to four space-time dimensions is presented for supergravity theories with eight supercharges. It is applicable to theories with higher-derivative couplings and it is used to address a number of open questions regarding BPS black holes in five dimensions. Under this reduction the 5D Weyl multiplet becomes reducible and decomposes into the 4D Weyl multiplet and an extra Kaluza-Klein vector multiplet. The emergence of the pseudoscalar field of the latter multiplet and the emergence of the 4D R-symmetry group are subtle features of the reduction. T…
We present an on-shell graphical framework for superamplitudes in super Yang-Mills theory with arbitrary supersymmetry. Our diagrammatic procedure is derived through manipulations of the full N = 4 superamplitude and illustrated by a number of explicit examples.
We revisit the issue of higher-dimensional counterterms for the N=(1,1) supersymmetric Yang-Mills (SYM) theory in six dimensions using the off-shell N=(1,0) and on-shell N=(1,1) harmonic superspace approaches. The second approach is developed in full generality and used to solve, for the first time, the N=(1,1) SYM constraints in terms of N=(1,0) superfields. This provides a convenient tool to write explicit expressions for the candidate counterterms and other N=(1,1) invariants and may be conducive to proving non-renormalization theorems needed to explain the absence of certain logarithmic di…
For two families of four-dimensional off-shell N = 2 supersymmetric nonlinear sigma-models constructed originally in projective superspace, we develop their formulation in terms of N = 1 chiral superfields. Specifically, these theories are: (i) sigma-models on cotangent bundles T*M of arbitrary real analytic Kaehler manifolds M; (ii) general superconformal sigma-models described by weight-one polar supermultiplets. Using superspace techniques, we obtain a universal expression for the holomorphic symplectic two-form ω^{(2,0)} which determines the second supersymmetry transformation and is assoc…
We consider the N=2 gauge theory on N D7-branes wrapping K3, with D3-brane probes. In the large N limit, the D7-branes blow up to form an enhancon shell. We probe the region inside and outside the enhancon shell using the D3-branes, and compute the probe metric using the Seiberg-Witten formalism. Supergravity arguments suggest a flat interior up to 1/N corrections, and indeed our results for the D3-brane probes are consistent with that. By including the dynamics of the branes, these results, together with those of hep-th/0204050, demonstrate the robustness of the enhancon mechanism beyond patc…
