The simulation of driven dissipative quantum dynamics is often prohibitively computation-intensive, especially when it is calculated for various shapes of the driving field. We engineer a new feature space for representing the field and demonstrate that a deep neural network can be trained to emulate these dynamics by mapping this representation directly to the target observables. We demonstrate that with this approach, the system response can be retrieved many orders of magnitude faster. We verify the validity of our approach using the example of finite transverse Ising model irradiated with few-cycle magnetic pulses interacting with a Markovian environment. We show that our approach is sufficiently generalizable and robust to reproduce responses to pulses outside the training set.
Frontiers of attosecond science are constantly shifting, thus addressing more and more intricate effects with increasing resolution. Ultrashort pulses offer a practical way to prepare complex superpositions of quantum states, follow, and steer their dynamics. In this contribution, an ultrafast spin-flip process triggered by sub-femtosecond (fs) excitation and strong spin-orbit coupling between 2p core-excited states of a transition metal complex is investigated using density matrix-based time-dependent restricted active space configuration interaction theory. The effect of the nuclear vibratio…
Plasmon-mediated superradiance for molecules around metallic nanospheres was proposed ten years ago. However, its demonstration has not been achieved yet due to the experimental difficulty of positioning molecules, and the theoretical limitation to the enhanced collective rate of low excited molecules. In this Letter, we propose that the ultrafast plasmon-mediated superradiant pulses can be observed with strongly excited methylene blue molecules standing vertically inside gold nanoparticle-on-mirror nanocavities. Our simulations indicate that in this system the molecules could interact with ea…
Recently, Grange et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 114, 193601 (2015)] showed the possibility of single photon generation with high indistinguishability from a quantum emitter, despite strong pure dephasing, by `funneling' emission into a photonic cavity. Here, we show that cascaded two-cavity system can further improve the photon characteristics and greatly reduce the Q-factor requirement to levels achievable with present-day technology. Our approach leverages recent advances in nanocavities with ultrasmall mode volume and does not require ultrafast excitation of the emitter. These results were obtain…
There are two types of two-photon transitions in molecular aggregates, that is, non-local excitations of two monomers and local double excitations to some higher excited intra-monomer electronic state. As a consequence of the inter-monomer Coulomb interaction these different excitation states are coupled to each other. Higher excited intra-monomer states are rather short-lived due to efficient internal conversion of electronic into vibrational energy. Combining both processes leads to the annihilation of an electronic excitation state, which is a major loss channel for establishing high excita…

Future information technology demands ultimately fast, low-loss quantum control. Intense light fields have facilitated important milestones, such as inducing novel states of matter, accelerating electrons ballistically, or coherently flipping the valley pseudospin. These dynamics leave unique signatures, such as characteristic bandgaps or high-order harmonic radiation. The fastest and least dissipative way of switching the technologically most important quantum attribute - the spin - between two states separated by a potential barrier is to trigger an all-coherent precession. Pioneering experi…
Engineering and harnessing coherent excitonic transport in organic nanostructures has recently been suggested as a promising way towards improving man-made light harvesting materials. However, realising and testing the dissipative system-environment models underlying these proposals is presently very challenging in supramolecular materials. A promising alternative is to use simpler and highly tunable quantum simulators built from programmable qubits, as recently achieved in a superconducting circuit by Potocnik et al. In this article, we simulate the real-time dynamics of an exciton coupled to…
