Recently, Arutyunov, Bassi and Lacroix have shown that 2D non-linear sigma model with a deformed $T^{1,1}$ background is classically integrable [arXiv:2010.05573 [hep-th]]. This background includes a Kalb-Ramond two-form with a critical value. Then the sigma model has been conjectured to be non-integrable when the two-form is off critical. We confirm this conjecure by explicitly presenting classical chaos. With a winding string ansatz, the system is reduced to a dynamical system described by a set of ordinary differential equations. Then we find classical chaos, which indicates non-integrability, by numerically computing Poincaré sections and Lyapunov spectra for some initial conditions.
We study string theory with global momentum living on de Sitter space. We also show that this presumption leads to the string with deformed dispersion relation.
In this paper, we study the spin chain and string excitation in the two-parameters $q$-deformed AdS$_3\times$S$^3$ proposed by Hoare. We obtain the deformed spin chain model at the fast spin limit for choices of deformed parameters. General ansatz for giant magnons are studied in great detail and complicated dispersion relation is treated perturbatively. We also study several types of hanging string solutions and their charges and spins are analyzed numerically. At last, we explore its pp-wave limit and find its solution only depends on the difference of deformed parameters.
We explore the chaotic dynamics of the mass-deformed Aharony-Bergman-Jafferis-Maldacena model. To do so, we first perform a dimensional reduction of this model from $2+1$ to $0+1$ dimensions, considering that the fields are spatially uniform. Working in the 't Hooft limit and tracing over ansatz configurations involving fuzzy 2-spheres, which are described in terms of the Gomis-Rodriguez-Gomez-Van Raamsdonk-Verlinde matrices with collective time dependence, we obtain a family of reduced effective Lagrangians and demonstrate that they have chaotic dynamics by computing the associated Lyapunov e…
In this paper, considering the correspondence between spin chains and string sigma models, we explore the rotating string solutions over $ η$ deformed $ AdS_5 \times S^{5} $ in the so called fast spinning limit. In our analysis, we focus only on the bosonic part of the full superstring action and compute the relevant limits on both $(R \times S^{3})_η $ and $(R \times S^{5})_η $ models. The resulting system reveals that in the fast spinning limit, the sigma model on $ η$ deformed $S^5$ could be $\textit{approximately}$ thought of as the continuum limit of anisotropic $ SU(3) $ Heisenberg spin …
Beta Function of k Deformed AdS_5 x S^5 String Theory
We study the finite size effect of rigidly rotating and spinning folded strings in $(AdS_3\times S^3)_{\varkappa}$ background. We calculate the leading order exponential corrections to the infinite size dispersion relation of the giant magnon, and single spike solutions. For the spinning folded strings we write the finite size effect in terms of the known Lambert $W$-function.
We study two dimensional conformal field theory with a left-moving conserved current $J$, perturbed by an irrelevant, Lorentz symmetry breaking operator with the quantum numbers of $J\bar{T}$, using a combination of field and string theoretic techniques. We show that the spectrum of the theory has some interesting features, which may shed light on systems of interest for holography and black hole physics.
We build string backgrounds for Yang-Baxter deformations of the $AdS_4\times\mathbb{CP}^3$ superstring generated by $r$-matrices satisfying the classical Yang-Baxter equation. We obtain the metric and the NS-NS two-form of the gravity dual corresponding to noncommutative and dipole deformations of ABJM theory, as well as a deformed background with Schrödinger symmetry. The first two backgrounds may also be found by TsT transformations while for the last background we get a new family of non-relativistic ABJM theories with Schrödinger symmetry.
We construct semi-classical string solutions of the Schrödinger $Sch_5 \times S^5$ spacetime, which is conjectured to be the gravity dual of a non-local dipole-deformed CFT. They are the counterparts of the giant magnon and spiky string solutions of the undeformed $AdS_5 \times S^5$ to which they flow when the deformation parameter is turned off. They live in an $S^3$ subspace of the five-sphere along the directions of which the $B$-field has non-zero components having also extent in the $Sch_5$ part of the metric. Finally, we speculate on the form of the dual field theory operators.
We present a new exact treatment of $T\bar{T}$ deformed 2D CFT in terms of the worldsheet theory of a non-critical string. The transverse dimensions of the non-critical string are represented by the undeformed CFT, while the two longitudinal light-cone directions are described by two scalar fields $X^+$ and $X^-$ with free field OPE's but with a modified stress tensor, arranged so that the total central charge adds up to 26. The relation between our $X^\pm$ field variables and 2D dilaton gravity is indicated. We compute the physical spectrum and the partition function and find a match with kno…
