We construct examples of plurisubharmonic functions with isolated singularities at $0\in \mathbb{C}^n$, whose residual Monge-Ampère masses at the origin can not be approximated by masses of analytic approximations obtained via multiplier ideals. This answers negatively a conjecture of Demailly.
This paper studies the complex Monge-Ampère equations for $\mathcal F$-plurisubharmonic functions in bounded $\mathcal F$-hyperconvex domains. We give sufficient conditions for this equation to solve for measures with a singular part.
We study continuity properties of generalized Monge-Ampère operators for plurisubharmonic functions with analytic singularities. In particular, we prove continuity for a natural class of decreasing approximating sequences. We also prove a formula for the total mass of the Monge-Ampère measure of such a function on a compact Kähler manifold.
We will define the Monge-Ampère operator on finite (weakly) plurifinely plurisubharmonic functions in plurifinely open sets in complex n-space and show that it defines a positive measure. Ingredients of the proof include a direct proof for bounded strongly plurifinely plurisubharmonic functions, which is based on the fact that such functions can plurifinely locally be written as difference of ordinary plurisubharmonic functions, and an approximation result stating that weakly plurifinely plurisubharmonic functions are locally limits of strongly finely plurisubharmonic functions in the Dirichle…
In this paper, we study a geometric property of a continuous plurisubharmonic function which is a solution of the Monge-Ampère equation and has a convex level set. To prove our main theorem, we show a minimum principle of a maximal plurisubharmonic function. By using our results and Lempert's results, we show a relation between the supports of the Monge-Ampère currents and complex $k$-extreme points of closed balls for the Kobayashi distance in a bounded convex domain in $\mathbb{C}^{n}$.
In this paper we derive formulas for the Monge-Ampère measures of functions of the form $\log|Φ|_c$, where $Φ$ is a holomorphic map on a complex manifold $X$ of dimension $n$ with values in $\mathbb{C}^{n+1}\setminus\{0\}$ and $|\cdot|_c$ is the Lie norm on $\mathbb{C}^{n+1}$.
Many fundamental results of pluripotential theory on the quaternionic space $\mathbb{H}^n$ are extended to the Heisenberg group. We introduce notions of a plurisubharmonic function, the quaternionic Monge-Ampère operator, differential operators $d_0$ and $d_1$ and a closed positive current on the Heisenberg group. The quaternionic Monge-Ampère operator is the coefficient of $ (d_0d_1u)^n$. We establish the Chern-Levine-Nirenberg type estimate, the existence of quaternionic Monge-Ampère measure for a continuous quaternionic plurisubharmonic function and the minimum principle for the quaternioni…
We study the complex Monge-Ampère operator in bounded hyperconvex domains of $\C^n$. We introduce a scale of classes of weakly singular plurisubharmonic functions : these are functions of finite weighted Monge-Ampère energy. They generalize the classes introduced by U.Cegrell, and give a stratification of the space of (almost) all unbounded plurisubharmonic functions. We give an interpretation of these classes in terms of the speed of decreasing of the Monge-Ampère capacity of sublevel sets and solve associated complex Monge-Ampère equations.
Monge-Ampere currents generated by plurisubharmonic functions of logarithmic growth are studied. Upper bounds for their total masses are obtained in terms of growth characteristics of the functions. In particular, this gives a plurisubharmonic version of D.Bernstein's theorem on the number of zeros of polynomial mappings in terms of the Newton polyhedra, and a representation for Demailly's generalized degrees of plurisubharmonic functions.
In this paper we are concerned with the problem of local and global subextensions of (quasi-)plurisubharmonic functions from a "regular" subdomain of a compact Kähler manifold. We prove that a precise bound on the complex Monge-Ampère mass of the given function implies the existence of a subextension to a bigger regular subdomain or to the whole compact manifold. In some cases we show that the maximal subextension has a well defined complex Monge-Ampère measure and obtain precise estimates on this measure. Finally we give an example of a plurisubharmonic function with a well defined Monge-Ampè…
We give a sufficient condition on a sequence of uniformly bounded $ω$-plurisubharmonic functions, $ω$ being a Hermitian metric, for which the sequence of associated Monge-Ampère measures converges weakly. This criterion can be used to obtained a bounded $ω$-plurisubharmonic solution to the Monge-Ampère equation.
A notion of local indicator for a plurisubharmonic function is introduced. The indicator is a certain plurisubharmonic function in the unit polydisc, which controls the behavior of the considered function near a fixed point of its singularity, as well as the residual Monge-Ampere mass of the function at this point. A pluricomplex Green function with respect to given indicators is constructed and applied to the Dirichlet problem for the Monge- Ampere operator in the class of plurisubharmonic functions with isolated singularities.
We prove several results showing that plurisubharmonic functions with various bounds on their Monge-Ampere masses on a bounded hyperconvex domain always admit global plurisubharmonic subextension with logarithmic growth at infinity.
We develop a new approach to $L^{\infty}$-a priori estimates for degenerate complex Monge-Ampère equations on complex manifolds. It only relies on compactness and envelopes properties of quasi-plurisubharmonic functions. In a prequel \cite{GL21a} we have shown how this method allows one to obtain new and efficient proofs of several fundamental results in Kähler geometry. In \cite{GL21b} we have studied the behavior of Monge-Ampère volumes on hermitian manifolds. We extend here the techniques of \cite{GL21a} to the hermitian setting and use the bounds established in \cite{GL21b}, producing new …
In \cite{GL21a} we have developed a new approach to $L^{\infty}$-a priori estimates for degenerate complex Monge-Ampère equations, when the reference form is closed. This simplifying assumption was used to ensure the constancy of the volumes of Monge-Ampère measures. We study here the way these volumes stay away from zero and infinity when the reference form is no longer closed. We establish a transcendental version of the Grauert-Riemenschneider conjecture, partially answering conjectures of Demailly-Păun \cite{DP04} and Boucksom-Demailly-Păun-Peternell \cite{BDPP13}. Our approach relies on a…
A C^2 function on C^n is called (n-1)-plurisubharmonic in the sense of Harvey-Lawson if the sum of any n-1 eigenvalues of its complex Hessian is nonnegative. We show that the associated Monge-Ampere equation can be solved on any compact Kahler manifold. As a consequence we prove the existence of solutions to an equation of Fu-Wang-Wu, giving Calabi-Yau theorems for balanced, Gauduchon and strongly Gauduchon metrics on compact Kahler manifolds.
The aim of this paper is to study the Lelong number, the integrability index and the Monge-Ampère mass at the origin of an $S^1$-invariant plurisubharmonic function on a balanced domain in $\mathbb{C}^n$ under the Schwarz symmetrization. We prove that $n$ times the integrability index is exactly the Lelong number of the symmetrization, and if the function is further toric with a single pole at the origin, then the Monge-Ampère mass is always decreasing under the symmetrization
In this paper, we study the convergence in the capacity of sequence of plurisubharmonic functions. As an application, we prove stability results for solutions of the complex Monge-Ampère equations.
In this paper, we prove the Hölder continuity for solutions to the complex Monge-Ampère equations on non-smooth pseudoconvex domains of plurisubharmonic type ${m}$.
Two properties of plurisubharmonic functions are proven. The first result is a Skoda type integrability theorem with respect to a Monge-Ampère mass with Hölder continuous potential. The second one says that locally, a p.s.h. function is $k$-Lipschitz outside a set of Lebesgue measure smaller that $c/k^2$.
Let $u$ and $v$ be two plurisubharmonic functions in the domain of definition of the Monge-Ampère operator on a domain $Ω\subset {\bf C}^n$. We prove that if $u=v$ on a plurifinely open set $U\subset Ω$ that is Borel measurable, then $(dd^cu)^n|_U=(dd^cv)^n|_U$. This result was proved by Bedford and Taylor in the case where $u$ and $v$ are locally bounded, and by El Kadiri and Wiegerinck when $u$ and $v$ are finite, and by Hai and Hiep when $U$ is of the form $U=\bigcup_{j=1}^m\{φ_j>ψ_j\}$, where $φ_j$, $ψ_j$, $j=1,...,m$, are plurisubharmonic functions on $Ω$.
We show that a positive Borel measure of positive finite total mass, on compact Hermitian manifolds, admits a Holder continuous quasi-plurisubharmonic solution to the Monge-Ampere equation if and only if it is dominated locally by Monge-Ampere measures of Holder continuous plurisubharmonic functions.
We introduce a wide subclass ${\cal F}(X,ω)$ of quasi-plurisubharmonic functions in a compact Kähler manifold, on which the complex Monge-Ampère operator is well-defined and the convergence theorem is valid. We also prove that ${\cal F}(X,ω)$ is a convex cone and includes all quasi-plurisubharmonic functions which are in the Cegrell class.
We show that the spaces of $A$-$m$-subharmonic and $B$-$m$-subharmonic functions differ in sufficently high dimensions. We also prove that the Monge-Ampère type operator $\mathcal M_m$ associated to the space of $m$-plurisubharmonic functions does not allow an integral comparison principle except in the classical cases $m=1$ and $m=n$. These answer in the negative two problems posed by A. Sadullaev.

Let $μ$ be a non-negative measure defined on bounded $\mathcal F$-hyperconvex domain $Ω$. We are interested in giving sufficient conditions on $μ$ such that we can find a plurifinely plurisubharmonic function satisfying $NP (dd^c u)^n =μ$ in $QB(Ω)$.
A notion of indicator for a plurisubharmonic function u of logarithmic growth in C^n is introduced and studied. It is applied to evaluation of the total Monge-Ampère measure (dd^cu)^n({C}^n). Upper bounds for the measure are obtained in terms of growth characteristics of u. When u=log|f| for a polynomial mapping f with isolated zeros, the indicator generates the Newton polyhedron of f whose volume bounds the number of the zeros.
We prove that if the modulus of continuity of a plurisubharmonic subsolution satisfies a Dini type condition then the Dirichlet problem for the complex Monge-Ampère equation has the continuous solution. The modulus of continuity of the solution is also given if the right hand side is locally dominated by capacity.
We prove a local regularity (and a corresponding a priori estmate) for plurisubharmonic solutions of the nondegenerate complex Monge-Ampére equation assuming that their $W^{2,p}$-norm is under control for some $p>n(n-1)$. This condition is optimal. We use in particular some methods developed by Trudinger and an $L^q$-estimate for the complex Monge-Ampére equation due to Kołodziej.
Let $u$ be a plurisubharmonic function, defined on a neighbourhood of a point $x,$ such that the complex Monge-Ampère operator is well-defined on $u.$ Suppose also that $u$ has a weak singularity, in the sense that the Lelong number of $u$ at $x$ vanish. Is it true that the residual mass of the measure $(dd^c{u})^n$ vanish at $x$? To our knowledge there is no known example that falsifies the posed question. In this paper some partial results are obtained. We find that for a significant subset of plurisubharmonic functions with well defined Monge-Ampère mass vanishing Lelong number does implies…
We give a necessary and sufficient condition for positive Borel measures such that the Dirichlet problem, with zero boundary data, for the complex Monge-Ampère equation admits Hölder continuous plurisubharmonic solutions. In particular, when the subsolution has finite Monge-Ampère total mass, we obtain an affirmative answer to a question of Zeriahi.
We study the Parabolic complex Monge-Ampére equation in a bounded strictly pseudoconvex domain in \mathbb{C}^n, with the boundary condition u=φand the initial condition u=u_0. In this paper, we consider the case where φis smooth and u_0 is an arbitrary plurisubharmonic function in a neighbourhood of Ωsatisfying u_0=φ(.,0) on the boundary of Ω.
We make a systematic study of (quasi-)plurisubharmonic envelopes on compact Kähler manifolds, as well as on domains of $\mathbb{C}^n$, by using and extending an approximation process due to Berman [Ber13]. We show that the quasi-psh envelope of a viscosity super-solution is a pluripotential super-solution of a given complex Monge-Ampère equation. We use these ideas to solve complex Monge-Ampère equations by taking lower envelopes of super-solutions.
We construct a special plurisubharmonic defining function for a smoothly bounded strictly pseudoconvex domain so that the determinant of the complex Hessian vanishes to high order on the boundary. This construction, coupled with regularity of solutions of complex Monge-Ampere equation and the reflection principle, enables us to give a new proof of the Fefferman mapping theorem.
The complex Monge-Ampère operator has been defined for locally bounded plurisubharmonic functions by Bedford-Taylor in the 80's. This definition has been extended to compact complex manifolds, and to various classes of mildly unbounded quasi-plurisubharmonic functions by various authors. As this operator is not continuous for the $L^{1}$-topology, several stronger topologies have been introduced over the last decades to remedy this, while maintaining efficient compactness criteria. The purpose of this note is to show that these stronger topologies are essentially equivalent to the natural quas…
We study weak quasi-plurisubharmonic solutions to the Dirichlet problem for the complex Monge-Amère equation on a general Hermitian manifold with non-empty boundary. We prove optimal subsolution theorems: for bounded and Hölder continuous quasi-plurisubharmonic functions. The continuity of the solution is proved for measures that well dominated by capacity, for example measures with $L^p$, $p>1$ densities, or moderate measures in the sense of Dinh-Nguyen-Sibony.
In this paper we study the relation between the weighted energy class $\mathcal{E}_χ$ introduced by S. Benelkouchi, V. Guedj and A. Zeriahi recently with the classes $\mathcal{E}$ and $\mathcal{N}$ studied by Cegrell. Moreover, we establish a generalized comparison principle for the operator $\text{M}_χ$ and, as an application, we prove a slight version of existence of solutions of Monge-Ampère type equation in the class $\mathcal{E}_χ(H,Ø)$.
We study minimum sets of singular plurisubharmonic functions and their relation to upper contact sets. In particular we develop an algorithm checking when a naturally parametrized curve is such a minimum set. The case of Koch curves is studied in detail. We also study the size of the set of upper non-contact points. We show that this set is always of Lebesgue measure zero thus answering an open problem in the viscosity approach to the complex Monge-Ampère equation. Finally, we prove that similarly to the case of convex functions, strictly plurisubharmonic lower tests yield existence of upper t…
We apply a notion of geodesics of plurisubharmonic functions to interpolation of compact subsets of $C^n$. Namely, two non-pluripolar, polynomially closed, compact subsets of $C^n$ are interpolated as level sets $L_t=\{z: u_t(z)=-1\}$ for the geodesic $u_t$ between their relative extremal functions with respect to any ambient bounded domain. The sets $L_t$ are described in terms of certain holomorphic hulls. In the toric case, it is shown that the relative Monge-Ampère capacities of $L_t$ satisfy a dual Brunn-Minkowski inequality.
We study the Lelong classes $\mathcal{L}(V),\mathcal{L}^+(V)$ of psh functions on an affine variety $V$. We compute the Monge-Ampère mass of these functions, which we use to define the degree of a polynomial on $V$ in terms of pluripotential theory (the Lelong degree). We compute the Lelong degree explicitly in a specific example. Finally, we derive an affine version of Bézout's theorem.
We study the Monge-Amp\` ere operator within the framework of Dinh-Sibony's intersection theory defined via density currents. We show that if $u$ is a plurisubharmonic function belonging to the Blocki-Cegrell class, then the Dinh-Sibony $n$-fold self-product of $\text{dd}^c u$ exists and coincides with the classically defined Monge-Ampère measure $(\text{dd}^c u)^n$.
Let $w_0$ be a bounded, $C^3$, strictly plurisubharmonic function defined on $B_1\subset \mathbb{C}^n$. Then $w_0$ has a neighborhood in $L^{\infty}(B_1)$ with the following property: for any continuous, plurisubharmonic function $u$ in this neighborhood solving $1-\eps \le MA(u)\le 1+\eps$, one has $u\in W^{2,p}(B_{\frac{1}{2}})$, as long as $\eps>0$ is small enough depending only on $n$ and $p$. This partially generalizes Caffarelli's interior $W^{2,p}$ estimates for real Monge-Ampere to the complex version.
In this paper, we introduce finite energy classes of quaternionic plurisubharmonic functions of Cegrell type and study the quaternionic Monge-Ampere operator on these classes on quaternionic hyperconvex domains of Hn. We extend the domain of definition of quaternionic Monge-Ampere operator to some Cegrell classes, the functions of which are not necessarily bounded. We show that integration by parts and comparison principle are valid on some classes. Moreover, we use the variational method to solve the quaternionic Monge-Ampere equations when the right hand side is a positive mea- sure of finit…
We prove the existence of a continuous quasi-plurisubharmonic solution to the Monge-Ampère equation on a compact Hermitian manifold for a very general measre on the right hand side. We admit measures dominated by capacity in a certain manner, in particular, moderate measures studied by Dinh-Nguyen-Sibony. As a consequence, we give a characterization of measures admitting Hölder continuous quasi-plurisubharmonic potential, inspired by the work of Dinh-Nguyen.
On bounded B-regular domains, we study envelopes of plurisubharmonic functions bounded from above by a function $ϕ$ such that $ϕ^*=ϕ_*$ on the closure of the domain. For $ϕ$ satisfying certain additional criteria limiting its behavior at the singularities, we establish a set where the Perron-Bremermann envelope $P ϕ$ is guaranteed to be continuous. This result is a generalization of a classic result in pluripotential theory due to J. B. Walsh. As an application, we show that the complex Monge--Ampère equation \[ (dd^cu)^n = μ\] being uniquely solvable for continuous boundary data implies that …
We give a sufficient condition on the Monge-Ampère mass of a plurisubharmonic function $u$ for $\exp (- 2 u)$ to be locally integrable. This gives a pluripotential theoretic proof of a theorem by J-P. Demailly.
We study geodesics for plurisubharmonic functions from the Cegrell class ${\mathcal F}_1$ on a bounded hyperconvex domain of ${\mathbb C}^n$ and show that, as in the case of metrics on Kähler compact menifolds, they linearize an energy functional. As a consequence, we get a uniqueness theorem for functions from ${\mathcal F}_1$ in terms of total masses of certain mixed Monge-Ampère currents. Geodesics of relative extremal functions are considered and a reverse Brunn-Minkowski inequality is proved for capacities of multiplicative combinations of multi-circled compact sets. We also show that fun…

Given a compact complex manifold $Y$ with a negative line bundle $L\rightarrow Y$, we study the Schwarz-type symmetrization on the total space of $L$. We prove that this symmetrization does not increase the Monge-Ampère energy for the fibrewise $S^{1}$-invariant plurisubharmonic functions in the "unit ball" under some assumptions. As an application we generalize the sharp Moser-Trudinger inequality on the unit ball.
