We study the geometry of simply connected wandering domains for entire functions and we prove that every bounded connected regular open set, whose closure has a connected complement, is a wandering domain of some entire function. In particular such domain can be realized as an escaping or an oscillating wandering domain. As a consequence we obtain that every Jordan curve is the boundary of a wandering Fatou component of some entire function.
We modify a construction of Kisaka and Shishikura to show that there exists an entire function which has both a simply connected and a multiply connected wandering domain. Moreover, these domains are contained in the set of fast escaping points.
Although detailed descriptions of the possible types of behaviour inside periodic Fatou components have been known for over 100 years, a classification of wandering domains has only recently been given. Recently, simply connected wandering domains were classified into nine possible types and examples of escaping wandering domains of each of these types were constructed. Here we consider the case of oscillating wandering domains, for which only six of these types are possible. We use a new technique based on approximation theory to construct examples of all six types of oscillating simply conne…
We investigate in which cases the boundary of a multiply connected wandering domain of an entire function is uniformly perfect. We give a general criterion implying that it is not uniformly perfect. This criterion applies in particular to examples of multiply connected wandering domains given by Baker. We also provide examples of infinitely connected wandering domains whose boundary is uniformly perfect.
Let $f$ and $g$ be permutable transcendental entire functions. We use a recent analysis of the dynamical behaviour in multiply connected wandering domains to make progress on the long standing conjecture that the Julia sets of $f$ and $g$ are equal; in particular, we show that $J(f)=J(g)$ provided that neither $f$ nor $g$ has a simply connected wandering domain in the fast escaping set.
We describe conditions under which a multiply connected wandering domain of a transcendental meromorphic function with a finite number of poles must be a Baker wandering domain, and we discuss the possible eventual connectivity of Fatou components of transcendental meromorphic functions. We also show that if $f$ is meromorphic, $U$ is a bounded component of $F(f)$ and $V$ is the component of $F(f)$ such that $f(U)\subset V$, then $f$ maps each component of $\partial U$ onto a component of the boundary of $V$ in $\hat{\C}$. We give examples which show that our results are sharp; for example, we…
We introduce a new approximation technique into the context of complex dynamics that allows us to construct examples of transcendental entire functions with unbounded wandering domains. We provide examples of entire functions with an orbit of unbounded fast escaping wandering domains, answering a long-standing question of Rippon and Stallard. Moreover, these examples cover all possible types of simply connected wandering domains in terms of convergence to the boundary. In relation to a conjecture of Baker, it was unknown whether functions of order less than one could have unbounded wandering d…

The dynamical behaviour of a transcendental entire function in any periodic component of the Fatou set is well understood. Here we study the dynamical behaviour of a transcendental entire function $f$ in any multiply connected wandering domain $U$ of $f$. By introducing a certain positive harmonic function $h$ in $U$, related to harmonic measure, we are able to give the first detailed description of this dynamical behaviour. Using this new technique, we show that, for sufficiently large $n$, the image domains $U_n=f^n(U)$ contain large annuli, $C_n$, and that the union of these annuli acts as …
We study the iteration of transcendental self-maps of $\mathbb{C}^*:=\mathbb{C}\setminus \{0\}$, that is, holomorphic functions $f:\mathbb{C}^*\to\mathbb{C}^*$ for which both zero and infinity are essential singularities. We use approximation theory to construct functions in this class with escaping Fatou components, both wandering domains and Baker domains, that accumulate to $\{0,\infty\}$ in any possible way under iteration. We also give the first explicit examples of transcendental self-maps of $\mathbb{C}^*$ with Baker domains and with wandering domains. In doing so, we developed a suffic…
Dynamics of an one-parameter family of functions $f_λ(z)=λ+ z+\tan z, z \in \mathbb{C}$ and $λ\in \mathbb{C}$ with an unbounded set of singular values is investigated in this article. For $|2+λ^2|<1$, $λ=i$, $2+λ^2=e^{2πi α}$ for some rational number $α$ and for some bounded type irrational number $α$, the dynamics of $f_{λ+mπ}$ is determined for $m \in \mathbb{Z}\setminus\{0\}$. For such values of $λ$, the existence of $m$ many wandering domains of $f_{λ+mπ}$ with disjoint grand orbits in the lower half-plane are asserted along with a completely invariant Baker domain containing the upper hal…
We give an example of a transcendental entire function with a simply connected fast escaping Fatou component, but with no multiply connected Fatou components. We also give a new criterion for points to be in the fast escaping set.
In this article we deal with the existence of doubly universal Taylor series defined on simply connected domains with respect to any center and we generalize the results of G. Costakis and N. Tsirivas for the unit disk.
In this article, we study the Bohr type inequality for {C}esáro operator and {B}ernardi integral operator acting on the space of analytic functions defined on a simply connected domain containing the unit disk $\mathbb{D}$.
We consider simply connected log-Riemann surfaces with a finite number of ramification points. We prove that these surfaces are biholomorphic to C with uniformizations given by entire functions of the form F (z) = \int Q(z) e^{P(z)} dz where P, Q are polynomials of degrees equal to the number of infinite and finite order ramification points respectively. Conversely any such entire function defines a simply connected log-Riemann surface with finitely many ramification points.
We study the Carleson measures associated to the Hardy and weighted Bergman spaces defined on general simply connected domains. This program was initiated by Zinsmeister in his paper \textit{Les domaines de Carleson }(1989), where he shows that the geometry of the domain plays a fundamental role. We will review the classical results presenting, in some cases, alternative proofs and will examine the situation for the weighted Bergman spaces.
In this paper, we study the Bohr phenomenon for functions that are defined on a general simply connected domain of the complex plane. We improve known results of R. Fournier and St. Ruscheweyh for a class of analytic functions. Furthermore, we examine the case where a harmonic mapping is defined in a disk containing $\mathbb{D}$ and obtain a Bohr type inequality.
We study numerical computation of several conformal invariants of simply connected domains in the complex plane including, the hyperbolic distance, the reduced modulus, the harmonic measure, and the modulus of a quadrilateral. The method we use is based on the boundary integral equation with the generalized Neumann kernel. Several numerical examples are presented. We validate the performance and accuracy of our method by considering several model problems with known analytic solutions.
The article is devoted to questions concerning the problems of compactness of solutions of the Dirichlet problem for the Beltrami equation in some simply connected domain. In terms of prime ends, we have proved results of a detailed form for the case when the maximal dilations of these solutions satisfy certain integral constraints. In addition, in this article we have proved theorems on the local and global behavior of plane and spatial mappings with direct and inverse modulus conditions.
We extend to all planar simply connected domains Makarov-type results about the Hausdorff dimension of $p$-harmonic measure pioneered by Lewis and Bennewitz in the context of quasidisks. The key to our analysis is a gradient estimate using the distance to the boundary and constants that only depend on $p$. This is achieved by studying the conformal map from the unit disk to the simply connected domain to construct good quasicurves from a point in the domain to the boundary.
In 1986 A. Ancona showed, using the Koebe one-quarter Theorem, that for a simply-connected planar domain the constant in the Hardy inequality with the distance to the boundary is greater than or equal to 1/16. In this paper we consider classes of domains for which there is a stronger version of the Koebe Theorem. This implies better estimates for the constant appearing in the Hardy inequality.

We prove that the $SLE_κ$ trace in any simply connected domain $G$ is continuous (except possibly near its endpoints) if $κ<8$. We also prove an SLE analog of Makarov's Theorem about the support of harmonic measure.
