We establish the method of holomorphic handle attaching to the strongly pseudoconcave boundary of a complex surface. We use this for proving the following statements: (1) every closed connected oriented contact 3-manifold can be filled as the strongly pseudoconcave boundary of a compact complex surface; (2) any two closed connected oriented contact 3-manifolds are complex cobordant. Moreover, we show that such complex surface (or complex cobordism) can be taken Kähler.
Replying to three questions posed by N. Shcherbina, we show that a compact psudoconcave set can have the core smaller than itself, that the core of a compact set must be pseudoconcave, and that it can be decomposed into compact pseudoconcave sets on which all smooth plurisubharmonic functions are constant.
A flag domain of a real from $G_0$ of a complex semismiple Lie group $G$ is an open $G_0$-orbit $D$ in a (compact) $G$-flag manifold. In the usual way one reduces to the case where $G_0$ is simple. It is known that if $D$ possesses non-constant holomorphic functions, then it is the product of a compact flag manifold and a Hermitian symmetric bounded domain. This pseudoconvex case is rare in the geography of flag domains. Here it is shown that otherwise, i.e., when $\mathcal{O}(D)\cong\mathbb{C}$, the flag domain $D$ is pseudoconcave. In a rather general setting the degree of the pseudoconcavit…
The paper investigates the (non)existence of compact quotients, by a discrete subgroup, of the homogeneous almost-complex strongly-pseudoconvex manifolds disconvered and classified by Gaussier-Sukhov and K.-H. Lee.
Let $(X, T^{1,0}X)$ be a compact strongly pseudoconvex CR manifold of dimension $2n+1$. Assume that $X$ admits a Torus action $T^d$. In this work, we study the behavior of torus equivariant Szegő kernels and prove that the weighted torus equivariant Szegő kernels admit asymptotic expansions.
Let $X$ be a CR manifold with transversal, proper CR $G$-action. We show that $X/G$ is a complex space such that the quotient map is a CR map. Moreover the quotient is universal, i.e. every invariant CR map into a complex manifold factorises uniquely over a holomorphic map on $X/G$. We then use this result and complex geometry to proof an embedding theorem for (non-compact) strongly pseudoconvex CR manifolds with transversal $G \rtimes S^1$-action. The methods of the proof are applied to obtain a projective embedding theorem for compact CR manifolds.
We solve $\square_b$ on a class of non-compact 3-dimensional strongly pseudoconvex CR manifolds via a certain conformal equivalence. The idea is to make use of a related $\square_b$ operator on a compact 3-dimensional strongly pseudoconvex CR manifold, which we solve using a pseudodifferential calculus. The way we solve $\square_b$ works whenever $\overline{\partial}_b$ on the compact CR manifold has closed range in $L^2$; in particular, as in Beals and Greiner, it does not require the CR manifold to be the boundary of a strongly pseudoconvex domain in $\mathbb{C}^2$. Our result provides in tu…
