The main aim of this article is a careful investigation of the asymptotic behavior of zeros of Bernoulli polynomials of the second kind. It is shown that the zeros are all real and simple. The asymptotic expansions for the small, large, and the middle zeros are computed in more detail. The analysis is based on the asymptotic expansions of the Bernoulli polynomials of the second kind in various regimes.
We consider the Bernoulli polynomials of the second kind, which can be related to the generalised Bernoulli polynomials $B_n^{(n)}(z)$. The asymptotic expansions of the scaled polynomials $B_n^{(n)}(nz)$ are obtained as $n\to\infty$ when (i) $z$ is real and (ii) $z$ is complex bounded away from $[0,1]$. These results complement recent work of Štampach [{\it J. Approx. Theory}, {\bf 262} (2021) 105517]. Numerical results are presented to illustrate the accuracy of the different expansions obtained.
The purpose of this paper is to define generalized Apostol--Bernoulli polynomials with including a new cosine and sine parametric type of generating function using the quasi-monomiality properties and trigonometric functions. In this study, the Apostol-Bernoulli polynomials with three variable are defined with two new generating functions cosine and sine parameters. Then, we investigate multiplicative and derivative operators, diffrential equations, some summation formulas and partial differential equations for these polynomials. Moreover, we introduce Gould--Hopper--Apostol--Bernoulli type po…
In this paper, we introduce the polynomials $B^{(k)}_{n,α}(x;q)$ generated by a function including Jackson $q$-Bessel functions $J^{(k)}_α(x;q)$ $ (k=1,2,3),\,α>-1$. The cases $α=\pm\frac{1}{2}$ are the $q$-analogs of Bernoulli and Euler$^{,}$s polynomials introduced by Ismail and Mansour for $(k=1,2)$, Mansour and Al-Towalib for $(k=3)$. We study the main properties of these polynomials, their large $n$ degree asymptotics and give their connection coefficients with the $q$-Laguerre polynomials and little $q$-Legendre polynomials.
We provide a multidimensional weighted Euler--MacLaurin summation formula on polytopes and a multidimensional generalization of a result due to L. J. Mordell on the series expansion in Bernoulli polynomials. These results are consequences of a more general series expansion; namely, if $χ_{τ\mathcal{P}}$ denotes the characteristic function of a dilated integer convex polytope $\mathcal{P}$ and $q$ is a function with suitable regularity, we prove that the periodization of $qχ_{τ\mathcal{P}}$ admits an expansion in terms of multivariate Bernoulli polynomials. These multivariate polynomials are re…
In this paper we study the asymptotic analysis of the orthogonal trigonometric polynomials by the Riemann-Hilbert problem for the periodic analytic functions.
