We study the compatibility of the action of the DAHA of type GL with two inverse systems of polynomial rings obtained from the standard Laurent polynomial representations. In both cases, the crucial analysis is that of the compatibility of the action of the Cherednik operators. Each case leads to a representation of a limit structure (the +/- stable limit DAHA) on a space of almost symmetric polynomials in infinitely many variables (the standard representation). As an application, we show that the defining representation of the double Dyck path algebra arises from the standard representation of the +stable limit DAHA.
We study a topological aspect of rank-1 double affine Hecke algebra (DAHA). Clarified is a relationship between the DAHA of A1-type (resp. CC1-type) and the skein algebra on a once-punctured torus (resp. a 4-punctured sphere), and the SL(2;Z) actions of DAHAs are identified with the Dehn twists on the surfaces. Combining these two types of DAHA, we construct the DAHA representation for the skein algebra on a genus-two surface, and we propose a DAHA polynomial for a double-torus knot, which is a simple closed curve on a genus two Heegaard surface in S3. Discussed is a relationship between the D…
A method is suggested for obtaining the Plancherel measure for Affine Hecke Algebras as a limit of integral-type formulas for inner products in the polynomial and related modules of Double Affine Hecke Algebras. The analytic continuation necessary here is a generalization of "picking up residues" due to Arthur, Heckman, Opdam and others, which can be traced back to Hermann Weyl. Generally, it is a finite sum of integrals over double affine residual subtori; a complete formula is presented for $A_1$ in the spherical case.
Analogously to the construction of Suzuki and Vazirani, we construct representations of the $GL_m$-type Double Affine Hecke Algebra at roots of unity. These representations are graded and the weight spaces for the $X$-variables are parametrized by the combinatorial objects we call doubly periodic tableaux. We show that our representations exhaust all graded $X$-semisimple representations, and the direct sum of all our representations is faithful. Analogously to the construction of Jordan and Vazirani of rectangular DAHA representations, we show that our representations can be interpreted in te…
The main aim is to obtain integral formulas for DAHA coinvariants and the corresponding inner products for any values of the DAHA parameters. In the compact case, our approach is similar to the procedure of ``picking up residues" due to Arthur, Heckman, Opdam and others; the resulting formula is a sum of integrals over double affine residual subtori. A single real integral provides the required formula in the noncompact case. As q tends to 0, our integral formulas result in the trace formulas for the corresponding AHA, which calculate the Plancherel measures for the spherical parts of the regu…
The equivariant $K$-theory of the semi-infinite flag manifold, as developed recently by Kato, Naito, and Sagaki, carries commuting actions of the nil-double affine Hecke algebra (nil-DAHA) and a $q$-Heisenberg algebra. The action of the latter generates a free submodule of rank $|W|$, where $W$ is the (finite) Weyl group. We show that this submodule is stable under the nil-DAHA, which enables one to express the nil-DAHA action in terms of $W\times W$ matrices over the $q$-Heisenberg algebra. Our main result gives an explicit algebraic construction of these matrices as a limit from the (non-nil…
We give a skein-theoretic realization of the $\mathfrak{gl}_n$ double affine Hecke algebra of Cherednik using braids and tangles in the punctured torus. We use this to provide evidence of a relationship we conjecture between the classical skein algebra of the punctured torus and the elliptic Hall algebra of Burban and Schiffmann.
We construct the twisted Fock module of quantum toroidal $\mathfrak{gl}_1$ algebra with a slope $n'/n$ using vertex operators of quantum affine $\mathfrak{gl}_n$. The proof is based on the $q$-wedge construction of an integrable level-one $U_q(\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}_n)$-module and the representation theory of double affine Hecke algebra. The results are consistent with Gorsky-Neguţ conjecture (Kononov-Smirnov theorem) on stable envelopes for Hilbert schemes of points in the plane and can be viewed as a manifestation of $(\mathfrak{gl}_1,\mathfrak{gl}_n)$-duality.
The most general construction of double affine Artin groups (DAAG) and Hecke algebras (DAHA) associates such objects to pairs of compatible reductive group data. We show that DAAG/DAHA always admit a faithful action by automorphisms of a finite index subgroup of the Artin group of type $A_{2}$, which descends to a faithful outer action of a congruence subgroup of $SL(2,\mathbb{Z})$ or $PSL(2,\mathbb{Z})$. This was previously known only in some special cases and, to the best of our knowledge, not even conjectured to hold in full generality. The structural intricacies of DAAG/DAHA are captured b…
Assume that $\mathbb F$ is an algebraically closed field and let $q$ denote a nonzero scalar in $\mathbb F$ that is not a root of unity. The universal Askey--Wilson algebra $\triangle_q$ is a unital associative $\mathbb F$-algebra defined by generators and relations. The generators are $A,B, C$ and the relations state that each of $$ A+\frac{q BC-q^{-1} CB}{q^2-q^{-2}}, \qquad B+\frac{q CA-q^{-1} AC}{q^2-q^{-2}}, \qquad C+\frac{q AB-q^{-1} BA}{q^2-q^{-2}} $$ is central in $\triangle_q$. The universal DAHA (double affine Hecke algebra) $\mathfrak H_q$ of type $(C_1^\vee,C_1)$ is a unital associ…
The Askey-Wilson polynomials are a four-parameter family of orthogonal symmetric Laurent polynomials $R_n[z]$ which are eigenfunctions of a second-order $q$-difference operator $L$, and of a second-order difference operator in the variable $n$ with eigenvalue $z +z^{-1}=2x$. Then $L$ and multiplication by $z+z^{-1}$ generate the Askey-Wilson (Zhedanov) algebra. A nice property of the Askey-Wilson polynomials is that the variables $z$ and $n$ occur in the explicit expression in a similar and to some extent exchangeable way. This property is called duality. It returns in the non-symmetric case a…
