The open XXZ spin chain with the anisotropy parameter $Δ=-\frac12$ and diagonal boundary magnetic fields that depend on a parameter $x$ is studied. For real $x>0$, the exact finite-size ground-state eigenvalue of the spin-chain Hamiltonian is explicitly computed. In a suitable normalisation, the ground-state components are characterised as polynomials in $x$ with integer coefficients. Linear sum rules and special components of this eigenvector are explicitly computed in terms of determinant formulas. These results follow from the construction of a contour-integral solution to the boundary quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations associated with the $R$-matrix and diagonal $K$-matrices of the six-vertex model. A relation between this solution and a weighted enumeration of totally-symmetric alternating sign matrices is conjectured.
We consider the level 1 solution of quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation with reflecting boundary conditions which is relevant to the Temperley--Lieb model of loops on a strip. By use of integral formulae we prove conjectures relating it to the weighted enumeration of Cyclically Symmetric Transpose Complement Plane Partitions and related combinatorial objects.
We consider Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov system of linear differential equations. The coefficients of this system are rational functions. We prove that under some conditions the solution of KZ system is rational too. This assertion confirms partially the conjecture of Chervov-Talalaev.
The construction of the well-known Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations uses the central element of the second order in the universal enveloping algebra for some Lie algebra. But in the universal enveloping algebra there are central elements of higher orders. It seems desirable to use these elements for the construction of Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov type equations. In the present paper we give a construction of such Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov type equations for the root system $B$ associated with Capelli central elements in the universal enveloping algebra for the orthogonal algebra.
We construct Laurent polynomial solutions of the boundary quantum Knizhnik--Zamolodchikov equation for $U_{q}(\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_{2})$ on the parabolic Kazhdan--Lusztig bases. They are characterized by non-symmetric Koornwinder polynomials with the specialized parameters. As a special case, we obtain the solution of the minimal degree.
We propose a new method to compute connection matrices of quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations associated to integrable vertex models with super algebra and Hecke algebra symmetries. The scheme relies on decomposing the underlying spin representation of the affine Hecke algebra in principal series modules and invoking the known solution of the connection problem for quantum affine Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations associated to principal series modules. We apply the method to the spin representation underlying the $\mathcal{U}_q\bigl(\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}(2|1)\bigr)$ Perk-Schultz model. We sh…
We consider the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov system of linear differential equations. The coefficients of this system are rational functions generated by elements of the symmetric group $S_{n}$. We assume that parameter $ρ=\pm{1}$. In previous paper we proved that the fundamental solution of the corresponding KZ-equation is rational. Now we construct this solution in the explicit form.
We show how equivariant volumes of tensor product quiver varieties of type A are given by matrix elements of vertex operators of centrally extended doubles of Yangians, and how they satisfy in some cases the rational, level 1, quantum Knizhnik--Zamolodchikov equation.
Starting from Sklyanin's separation of variables for the sl3 Yangian model, we derive the separation of variables for the quantum sl3 Gaudin model. We use the resulting new variables for rewriting the sl3 Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations, and comparing them with certain null-vector equations in conformal field theories with W3-algebra symmetry. The two sets of equations are remarkably similar, but become identical only in the critical level limit. This is in contrast to the sl2 Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations, which are known to be equivalent to Belavin-Polyakov-Zamolodchikov equations for al…
Solutions to boundary quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations are constructed as bilateral sums involving "off-shell" Bethe vectors in case the reflection matrix is diagonal and only the 2-dimensional representation of $U_q(\hat{\frak{sl}(2)})$ is involved. We also consider their rational and classical degenerations.
We present a new conjecture relating the minimal polynomial solution of the level-one $U_q(\frak{sl}(2))$ quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation for generic values of $q$ in the link pattern basis and some $q$-enumeration of Totally Symmetric Self-Complementary Plane Partitions.
We provide explicit formulae for highest-weight to highest-weight correlation functions of perfect vertex operators of $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}(2)})$ at arbitrary integer level $\ell$. They are given in terms of certain Macdonald polynomials. We apply this construction to the computation of the ground state of higher spin vertex models, spin chains (spin $\ell/2$ XXZ) or loop models in the root of unity case $q=-e^{-iπ/(\ell+2)}$.
We present multiresidue formulae for partial sums in the basis of link patterns of the polynomial solution to the level 1 U_q(\hat sl_2) quantum Knizhnik--Zamolodchikov equation at generic values of the quantum parameter q. These allow for rewriting and generalizing a recent conjecture [Di Francesco '06] connecting the above to generating polynomials for weighted Totally Symmetric Self-Complementary Plane Partitions. We reduce the corresponding conjectures to a single integral identity, yet to be proved.
We present a new method for obtaining duality functions in multi-species asymmetric exclusion processes (mASEP), from solutions of the deformed Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations. Our method reproduces, as a special case, duality functions for the self-dual single species ASEP on the integer lattice.
It is well known that five-point function in Liouville field theory provides a representation of solutions of the SL(2,R)_k Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation at the level of four-point function. Here, we make use of such representation to study some aspects of the spectral flow symmetry of sl(2)_k affine algebra and its action on the observables of the WZNW theory. To illustrate the usefulness of this method we rederive the three-point function that violates the winding number in SL(2,R) in a very succinct way. In addition, we prove several identities holding between exact solutions of the Knizh…
We construct special solutions of the quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation on the tensor product of the vector representation of the quantum algebra of type A_{N-1}. They are constructed from non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials through the action of the affine Hecke algebra. As a special case the matrix element of the vertex operators of level one is reproduced.
We construct integral representations of solutions to the boundary quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations. These are difference equations taking values in tensor products of Verma modules of quantum affine $\mathfrak{sl}_2$, with the K-operators acting diagonally. The integrands in question are products of scalar-valued elliptic weight functions with vector-valued trigonometric weight functions (boundary Bethe vectors). These integrals give rise to a basis of solutions of the boundary qKZ equations over the field of quasi-constant meromorphic functions in weight subspaces of the tensor produ…
Given a Lax system of equations with the spectral parameter on a Riemann surface we construct a projective unitary representation of the Lie algebra of Hamiltonian vector fields by Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov operators. This provides a prequantization of the Lax system. The representation operators of Poisson commuting Hamiltonians of the Lax system projectively commute. If Hamiltonians depend only on action variables then the corresponding operators commute.
In this paper we extend our previous results concerning Jackson integral solutions of the boundary quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations with diagonal K-operators to higher-spin representations of quantum affine $\mathfrak{sl}_2$. First we give a systematic exposition of known results on $R$-operators acting in the tensor product of evaluation representations in Verma modules over quantum $\mathfrak{sl}_2$. We develop the corresponding fusion of $K$-operators, which we use to construct diagonal $K$-operators in these representations. We construct Jackson integral solutions of the associated…
We consider partial sum rules for the homogeneous limit of the solution of the q-deformed Knizhnik--Zamolodchikov equation with reflecting boundaries in the Dyck path representation. We show that these partial sums arise in a solution of the discrete Hirota equation, and prove that they are the generating functions of $τ^2$-weighted punctured cyclically symmetric transpose complement plane partitions where $τ=-(q+q^{-1})$. In the cases of no or minimal punctures, we prove that these generating functions coincide with $τ^2$-enumerations of vertically symmetric alternating sign matrices and modi…
We present some new results on the rational solutions of the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation for the four-point conformal blocks of isospin I primary fields in the SU(2)_k Wess-Zumino-Novikov-Witten model. The rational solutions corresponding to integrable representations of the affine algebra su(2)_k have been classified by Michel, Stanev and Todorov; provided that the conformal dimension is an integer, they are in one-to-one correspondence with the local extensions of the chiral algebra. Here we give another description of these solutions as specific braid-invariant combinations of the so ca…
We propose new conjectures relating sum rules for the polynomial solution of the qKZ equation with open (reflecting) boundaries as a function of the quantum parameter $q$ and the $τ$-enumeration of Plane Partitions with specific symmetries, with $τ=-(q+q^{-1})$. We also find a conjectural relation à la Razumov-Stroganov between the $τ\to 0$ limit of the qKZ solution and refined numbers of Totally Symmetric Self Complementary Plane Partitions.
We review results on the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov (KZ) and dynamical equations, both differential and difference, in the context of the $(gl_k,gl_n)$ duality, and their implications for hypergeometric integrals. The KZ and dynamical equations naturally exchange under the duality, which provides two kinds of integral formulae for hypergeometric solutions of the equations. This fact yields identities for hypergeometric integrals of different dimensions, the dimension of the first integral being the parameter of the second one, and vice versa. Similar identites exist between hypergeometric and q-hy…
We use the double affine Hecke algebra of type GL_N to construct an explicit consistent system of q-difference equations, which we call the bispectral quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov (BqKZ) equations. BqKZ includes, besides Cherednik's quantum affine KZ equations associated to principal series representations of the underlying affine Hecke algebra, a compatible system of q-difference equations acting on the central character of the principal series representations. We construct a meromorphic self-dual solution Φof BqKZ which, upon suitable specializations of the central character, reduces to sy…
We consider a set of non-stationary quantum models. We show that their dynamics can be studied using links to Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov (KZ) equations for correlation functions in conformal field theories. We specifically consider the boundary Wess-Zumino-Novikov-Witten model, where equations for correlators of primary fields are defined by an extension of KZ equations and explore the links to dynamical systems. As an example of the workability of the proposed method, we provide an exact solution to a dynamical system that is a specific multi-level generalization of the two-level Landau-Zenner sy…
We establish an explicit bijection between the sets of singular solutions of the (super) KZ equations associated to the Lie superalgebra, of infinite rank, of type $\mf{a, b,c,d}$ and to the corresponding Lie algebra. As a consequence, the singular solutions of the super KZ equations associated to the classical Lie superalgebra, of finite rank, of type $\mf{a, b,c,d}$ for the tensor product of certain parabolic Verma modules (resp., irreducible modules) are obtained from the singular solutions of the KZ equations for the tensor product of the corresponding parabolic Verma modules (resp., irred…
This paper continues the same-named article, Part I (math.QA/9812083). We give a global operator approach to the WZWN theory for compact Riemann surfaces of an arbitrary genus g with marked points. Globality means here that we use Krichever-Novikov algebras of gauge and conformal symmetries (i.e. algebras of global symmetries) instead of loop and Virasoro algebras (which are local in this context). The elements of this global approach are described in Part I. In the present paper we give the construction of conformal blocks and the projective flat connection on the bundle constituted by them.
Dynamical R-matrix relations are derived for the group-valued chiral vertex operators in the SU(n) WZNW model from the KZ equation for a general four-point function including two step operators. They fit the exchange relations for the U_q(sl_n) covariant quantum matrix derived previously by solving the dynamical Yang-Baxter equation. As a byproduct, we extend the regular basis introduced earlier for SU(2) chiral fields to SU(n) step operators and display the corresponding triangular matrix representation of the braid group.
We apply a recently suggested new strategy to solve differential equations for master integrals for families of Feynman integrals. After a set of master integrals has been found using the integration-by-parts method, the crucial point of this strategy is to introduce a new basis where all master integrals are pure functions of uniform transcendentality. In this paper, we apply this method to all planar three-loop four-point massless on-shell master integrals. We explicitly find such a basis, and show that the differential equations are of the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov type. We explain how to solv…
This paper is continuation of our previous papers hep-th/0209246 and hep-th/0304077 . We discuss in more detail a new form of solution to the quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation [qKZ] on level -4 obtained in the paper hep-th/0304077 for the Heisenberg XXX spin chain. The main advantage of this form is it's explicit reducibility to one-dimensional integrals. We argue that the deep mathematical reason for this is some special cohomologies of deformed Jacobi varieties. We apply this new form of solution to the correlation functions using the Jimbo-Miwa conjecture. A formula (46) for the corre…
We prove higher rank analogues of the Razumov--Stroganov sum rule for the groundstate of the O(1) loop model on a semi-infinite cylinder: we show that a weighted sum of components of the groundstate of the A_{k-1} IRF model yields integers that generalize the numbers of alternating sign matrices. This is done by constructing minimal polynomial solutions of the level 1 U_q(\hat{sl(k)}) quantum Knizhnik--Zamolodchikov equations, which may also be interpreted as quantum incompressible q-deformations of fractional quantum Hall effect wave functions at filling fraction nu=1/k. In addition to the ge…
We present a new form of solution to the quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation on level -4 in a special case corresponding to the Heisenberg XXX spin chain. Our form is equivalent to the integral representation obtained by Jimbo and Miwa in 1996 . An advantage of our form is that it is reduced to the product of single integrals. This fact is deeply related to a cohomological nature of our formulae. Our approach is also based on the deformation of hyper-elliptic integrals and their main property -- deformed Riemann bilinear relation. Jimbo and Miwa also suggested a nice conjecture which relat…
We study a class of solutions to the SL(2,R)_k Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation. First, logarithmic solutions which represent four-point correlation functions describing string scattering processes on three-dimensional Anti-de Sitter space are discussed. These solutions satisfy the factorization ansatz and include logarithmic dependence on the SL(2,R)-isospin variables. Different types of logarithmic singularities arising are classified and the interpretation of these is discussed. The logarithms found here fit into the usual pattern of the structure of four-point function of other examples of …
Elements of a global operator approach to the WZWN theory for compact Riemann surfaces of arbitrary genus $g$ are given. Sheaves of representations of affine Krichever-Novikov algebras over a dense open subset of the moduli space of Riemann surfaces (respectively of smooth, projective complex curves) with $N$ marked points are introduced. It is shown that the tangent space of the moduli space at an arbitrary moduli point is isomorphic to a certain subspace of the Krichever-Novikov vector field algebra given by the data of the moduli point. This subspace is complementary to the direct sum of th…

The key role in the derivation of the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations in the $WZW$-theory is played by the energy-momentum tensor, that is constructed from a central Casimir element of the second order in a universal enveloping algebra of a corresponding Lie algebra. In the paper a possibility of construction of analogs of Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations using higher order central elements is investigated. The Gelfand elements of the third order for a simple Lie algebra of series $A$ and Capelli elements of the fourth order for the a simple Lie algebra of series $B$, $D$ are considered. In t…
We propose a de Rham - Witt version of the derived Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations, and of their hypergeometric realizations. We also propose de Rham - Witt versions of some classical theorems related to arbitrary hyperplane arrangements.
In this note we propose a compatible set of equations which commutes with the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations based on the $\mathfrak{gl}(n\vert m)$ symmetry algebra and establish the Matsuo-Cherednik correspondence in this context.
We consider the quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov-Bernard equation for a face model with elliptic weights, the SOS model. We provide explicit solutions as theta functions. On the so-called combinatorial line, in which the model is equivalent to the three-colour model, these solutions are shown to be eigenvectors of the transfer matrix with periodic boundary conditions.
The open critical XXZ spin chain with a general right boundary and a trivial diagonal left boundary is considered. Within this framework we propose a simple computation of the exact generic boundary S-matrix (with diagonal and non-diagonal entries), starting from the `bare' Bethe ansatz equations. Our results coincide with the ones obtained by Ghoshal and Zamolodchikov, after assuming suitable identifications of the bulk and boundary parameters.
We discuss the correspondence between the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations associated with $GL(N)$ and the $n$-particle quantum Calogero model in the case when $n$ is not necessarily equal to $N$. This can be viewed as a natural "quantization" of the quantum-classical correspondence between quantum Gaudin and classical Calogero models.
We describe the monodromy of dynamical Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations via Stokes phenomenon. It defines a family of braid groups representations by certain Stokes matrices. In particular, these Stokes matrices satisfy the Yang-Baxter equation.
Integral formulae for polynomial solutions of the quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations associated with the R-matrix of the six-vertex model are considered. It is proved that when the deformation parameter q is equal to e^{+- 2 pi i/3} and the number of vertical lines of the lattice is odd, the solution under consideration is an eigenvector of the inhomogeneous transfer matrix of the six-vertex model. In the homogeneous limit it is a ground state eigenvector of the antiferromagnetic XXZ spin chain with the anisotropy parameter Delta equal to -1/2 and odd number of sites. The obtained integr…
In this paper, we study the Stokes phenomenon of the cyclotomic Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation, and prove that its two types of Stokes matrices satisfy the Yang-Baxter and reflection equations respectively. We then discuss its isomonodromy deformation, and its relations with cyclotomic associators, twists, and quantum symmetric pairs.
We introduce isomonodromy Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov (KZ) connections with respect to the quantum Stokes matrices, and prove that the classical limit of the KZ type connections gives rise to the Dubrovin connections of semisimple Frobenius manifolds and flat F-manifolds.
In our previous works on the XXZ chain of spin one half, we have studied the problem of constructing a basis of local operators whose members have simple vacuum expectation values. For this purpose a pair of fermionic creation operators have been introduced. In this article we extend this construction to the spin one case. We formulate the fusion procedure for the creation operators, and find a triplet of bosonic as well as two pairs of fermionic creation operators. We show that the resulting basis of local operators satisfies the dual reduced qKZ equation.
The quantized version of a discrete Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov system is solved by an extension of the generalized Bethe Ansatz. The solutions are constructed to be of highest weight which means they fully reflect the internal quantum group symmetry.
We investigate the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov linear differential system. The coefficients of this system are rational functions. We have proved that the solution of the KZ system is rational when k is equal to two and n is equal to three (see [5]) . In this paper, we construct the corresponding solution in the explicit form.
The Gaudin models based on the face-type elliptic quantum groups and the $XYZ$ Gaudin models are studied. The Gaudin model Hamiltonians are constructed and are diagonalized by using the algebraic Bethe ansatz method. The corresponding face-type Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations and their solutions are given.
