In this work we consider Horndesky gravity deformed by a parameter in its kinetic terms embedded in asymptotically Lifshitz spacetimes. We obtain black brane solutions in this geometry and study their thermodynamical properties. We show that the $κ$-deformation on the Horndeski kinetic terms allow for arbitrary values of the critical exponents characteristic of Lifshitz spacetimes. These solutions present local and global thermodynamical stabilites.
We investigate black brane solutions in asymptotically Lifshitz spacetime in 3+1-dimensional Horndeski gravity, which admit a critical exponent fixed at $z=1/2$. The cosmological constant depends on $z$ as $Λ=-(1+2z)/L^{2}$. We compute the shear viscosity in the 2+1-dimensional dual boundary field theory via holographic correspondence. We investigate the violation of the bound for viscosity to entropy density ratio of $η/s\geq1/(4π)$ at $z=1/2$.
The motion of a massive test particle around a Kehagias-Sfetsos black hole in deformed Hourava-Lifshitz gravity is studied. Employing the effective potential, the marginally bound orbits and the innermost stable circular orbits are analyzed. For the marginally bound orbits, their radius and angular momentum decrease with the parameter $ω$ of the gravity. For the innermost stable circular orbits, the energy and angular momentum also decrease with $ω$. Based on these results, we investigate the periodic orbits in the Kehagias-Sfetsos black holes. It is found that the apsidal angle parameter incr…
We provide a ``user-friendly'' algorithm to systematically and rapidly obtain exact planar black hole solutions in the Einstein-Maxwell theory deformed by the most general shift- and reflection-symmetric Horndeski sector where the usual Galileon is replaced by a tuple of scalars with profiles linear in the coordinates of the transverse manifold. Under precise assumptions, these axion backgrounds break the translational invariance of the system, causing momentum dissipation in the holographically dual field theory. The success of the method relies on the simple realization that the bulk equatio…
In this paper, we use deformation approach and obtain the corresponding Lagrangian of charged test particle. Also, we show the effect of NC parameters on the Lagrangian of test particle in HL background with charge and without charge. Also, we see in case of $β=θ$ and without charge, the deformed and non-deformed Lagrangian will be same. Also in case of $β=θ$ and with charge will be the same but the charge or field need some scaling. Finally, We show that two theories in case of $β\neqθ$ with charge is completely different. It means that in case of NC geometry in addition to have time componen…
We study a higher order conformally coupled scalar tensor theory endowed with a covariant geometric constraint relating the scalar curvature with the Gauss-Bonnet scalar. It is a particular Horndeski theory including a canonical kinetic term but without shift or parity symmetry for the scalar. The theory also stems from a Kaluza-Klein reduction of a well defined higher dimensional metric theory. Properties of an asymptotically flat spherically symmetric black hole are analyzed, and new slowly rotating and radiating extensions are found. Through disformal transformations of the static configura…
We consider a charged Lifshitz black hole in the large transverse dimension limit. In this setup, the dynamics near the black hole horizon are shown to be effectively governed by a family of two-dimensional models of dilaton gravity depending on the ratio of the dynamical parameter characterizing the black hole and the dimension of spacetime. This family includes the Callan-Giddings-Harvey-Strominger (CGHS) and Jackiw-Teitelboim (JT) models and their charged equivalents. This family also contains classes of asymptotically anti-de Sitter models beyond JT, characterized by a running Ricci scalar…
In Hořava-Lifshitz gravity a scaling isotropic in space but anisotropic in spacetime, often called anisotropic scaling with the dynamical critical exponent z=3, lies at the base of its renormalizability. This scaling also leads to a novel mechanism of generating scale-invariant cosmological perturbations, solving the horizon problem without inflation. In this paper we propose a possible solution to the flatness problem, in which we assume that the initial condition of the Universe is set by a small instanton respecting the same scaling. We argue that the mechanism may be more general than the …
In this paper, we will analyse a supersymmetric field theory deformed by generalized uncertainty principle and Lifshitz scaling. It will be observed that this deformed supersymmetric field theory contains non-local fractional derivative terms. In order to construct such deformed N=1 supersymmetric theory, a harmonic extension of functions will be used. However, the supersymmetry will be only preserved for a free theory and will be broken by the inclusion of interaction terms.
