This paper presents an exact solution of Bardeen black hole in presence of massive gravity, which is characterized by the additional parameter $m$. Here, we focus on $4D$ Bardeen AdS massive black hole solutions as example to discuss the thermodynamical properties such as temperature, entropy and specific heat at constant pressure. We also study the critical behaviour of Bardeen AdS massive black holes by considering the cosmological constant $Λ$ as thermodynamical variable (pressure) as well as the parameter associated with the nonlinear electrodynamics. We calculate the critical value of pressure and temperature and study the effect of magnetic charge $e$ and mass parameter $m$. It is seen that the thermodynamical volume are the independent of mass parameter $m$. The critical values are the one in which phase transition takes place and the nature of mass parameter $m$ and magnetic charge $e$ are opposite to each other. The critical temperature and pressure were highly sensitive for these parameters.
In this paper, thermodynamics and phase transition are investigated for the regular Bardeen black hole. Considering the metric of the Bardeen spacetime, we derived the Unruh-Verlinde temperature. Using the first law of thermodynamics, we derived the expression of the specific heat and plot its behavior. It results that the magnetic monopole charge $β$ reduces the temperature and induces a thermodynamics phase transition in the spacetime. Moreover, when increasing $β$, the transition point moves to higher entropy.
We consider the Gauss-Bonnet corrected Bardeen black hole solution in 4-D AdS space-time. The solution is obtained by the limiting procedure adopted by Glavan and Lin in 4-D Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity. The general form of first law of black hole thermodynamics is utilized to calculate various thermodynamics variables. The solution exhibit P-v criticality and belong to the universality class of van-der Waals fluid. The effect of Gauss-Bonnet coupling is investigated on critical parameters and inversion temperature.
This study explores the emission of massive charged spin-1 particles from the background of Bardeen regular spacetime by the semi-classical method used to study the Hawking radiation spectrum. We employed the Hamilton-Jacobi method and WKB approximation technique with the suitable form of the wave function to solve the Proca field equation. We calculated the tunneling probability of outgoing spin-1 particles and the corresponding thermodynamic temperature. Furthermore, we obtained the modified thermodynamic quantities like temperature, entropy as well as heat capacity by utilizing the quadrati…
We carry quantum (thermal) corrections to the thermodynamics of regular black holes in detail. Firstly, we discuss the non-extended phase space thermodynamics of regular black holes. We obtain expressions for various thermodynamic quantities like temperature, entropy, internal energy, Helmholtz free energy, pressure, enthalpy, and Gibbs free energy. Then we introduce quantum corrections to the thermodynamics of Bardeen type (toy model) of regular black holes. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of these corrections is carried by plotting all the corrected thermodynamic quantities. The co…
In this paper, we have used the extended generalized uncertainty principle to investigate the thermodynamics of the Bardeen Black Hole with quintessence matter on the EGUP framework. We started with a brief perusal of the Extended generalized uncertainty principle. Subsequently, the EGUP-modified Hawking temperature, heat capacity, and entropy functions of the Bardeen Black Hole are obtained, which show that the modified uncertainty principles and normalization factor restrict the lower bound value of horizon radius to affect the Hawking temperature. Moreover, we compare and discuss the findin…
In this paper, we examine the effects of space noncommutativity on the thermodynamics of a Bardeen charged regular black hole. For a suitable choice of sets of parameters, the behavior of the singularity, horizon, mass function, black hole mass, temperature, entropy and its differential, area and energy distribution of the Bardeen solution have been discussed graphically for both noncommutative and commutative spaces. Graphs show that the commutative coordinates extrapolate all such quantities (except temperature) for a given set of parameters. It is interesting to mention here that these sets…
In this work we research on the thermodynamical properties of the Bardeen black holes. We compute the series of new thermodynamic quantities such as local temperature, heat capacity, off-shell free energy of this kind of black hole in detail. We further analyze the thermodynamical characteristics of the Bardeen black hole by varying its charge $q$ to check the existence and stability of the black hole.
We investigate the thermodynamic phase transitions and heat engine efficiency in regular Bardeen AdS black hole. Interpreting cosmological constant as thermodynamic pressure, we study the thermodynamics using T S and P v plots. Specific heat studies also carried out in detail. A first order phase transition in evident from these studies. These are followed by the construction of a heat engine considering the black hole as working substance. The efficiency is obtained via a thermodynamic cycle in the P V plane which receives and ejects heat. The heat engine efficiency is improved by adding a qu…
In this work we analyze a solution that mimics the Bardeen solution with a cosmological constant surrounded by quintessence. We show that this solution can be obtained by Einstein equations coupled with nonlinear electrodynamics. We also show that the solution is not always regular and what the conditions for regularity are. We analyze the thermodynamics associated with this type of solution by establishing the form of the Smarr formula and the first law of thermodynamics. We obtain some thermodynamic quantities such as pressure, temperature, heat capacity and isothermal compressibility. Once …
Thermodynamics of Bardeen AdS black holes has attracted a great deal of attentions due to its intrinsic complications and rich phase structures. However, the entropy and thermodynamic volume are incorrect in some literatures. In this paper we revisit the thermodynamics of Bardeen AdS black holes and provide the correct entropy and thermodynamic volume. Furthermore, thermodynamic geometries are a powerful tool to probe the microstructure of black holes. Based on the Hessian matrix of black hole mass, we introduce a thermodynamic metric and give its scalar curvature in Weinhold's geometry. The c…
In this paper, we study the quantum corrections to the thermodynamical quantities (temperature and entropy) for a Bardeen charged regular black hole by using a quantum tunneling approach over semiclassical approximations. Taking into account the quantum effects, the semiclassical Bekenstein-Hawking temperature and the area law are obtained, which are then used in the first law of thermodynamics to evaluate corrections to these quantities. It is interesting to mention here that these corrections reduce to the corresponding corrections for the Schwarzschild black hole when the charge $e=0$.
We discuss the first law of thermodynamics of Bardeen black hole. The presence of magnetic monopole charge modifies the energy and we define the temperature of the system accordingly. We introduce a lower cut-off to the space time by introducing a spherical surface, which can be identified with the event horizon. The corresponding temperature is identified with Hawking temperature. The entropy is assumed to obey the area law and we confirm this by calculating the statistical entropy by using brick wall model.
We derive an exact solution of the spherically symmetric Bardeen black hole surrounded by perfect fluid dark matter (PFDM). By treating the magnetic charge $g$ and dark matter parameter $α$ as thermodynamic variables, we find that the thermodynamic first law and the corresponding Smarr formula are satisfied. The thermodynamic stability of the black hole is also studied. The result show that, there exists a critical radius $r_{+}^{C}$, where the heat capacity diverges, suggesting that the black hole is thermodynamically stable in the range $0<r_{+}<r_{+}^{C}$. In addition, the critical radius $…
We investigate thermodynamics and geometrothermodynamics of regular Bardeen AdS black hole with quintessence. The thermodynamics of the black hole is studied using temperature-entropy ($T-S$) , Pressure-Volume ($P-v$), and Gibbs energy plots, which indicate a critical behaviour. This is also confirmed from the divergence of specific heat against entropy, which shows a second-order phase transition. Moreover, we observe that the quintessence state parameter $ω$ shifts the transition point to lower entropy values. Using the concept of thermodynamic Ruppeiner and Weinhold geometry, we calculated t…
The main focus of this paper is to discuss the solutions of Einstein-Maxwell's field equations for compact stars study. We have chosen the MIT bag model equation of state for the pressure-energy density relationship and conformal Killing vectors are used to investigate the appropriate forms for metric coefficients. We impose the boundary conditions, by choosing the Bardeen model to describe as an exterior spacetime. The Bardeen model may provide the analysis with some interesting results. For example, the extra terms involved in the asymptotic representations as compared to the usual Reissner-…
Instead of the work \cite{1} which in according to the Lovelock theorem it could not applicable for all types of 4D curved spacetimes of Einstein Gauss Bonnet (EGB) gravity, authors of the work \cite{2} applied break of diffeomorphism property to present a consistent EGB gravity theory. In this work we use the latter model by adding a nonlinear electromagnetic field lagrangian density to study affects of GB coupling constant into the thermodynamic phase transition and Joule Thomson (JT) adiabatic expansion of a 4D $dS/AdS$ GB Bardeen black hole.
We present a $D$-dimensional Bardeen like Anti-de Sitter (AdS) black hole solution in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (EGB) gravity, \textit{viz}., Bardeen-EGB-AdS black holes. The Bardeen-EGB-AdS black hole has an additional parameter due to charge ($e$), apart from mass ($M$) and Gauss-Bonnet parameter ($α$). Interestingly, for each value of $α$, there exist a critical $e = e_E$ which corresponds to an extremal regular black hole with degenerate horizons, while for $e< e_E$, it describes non-extremal black hole with two horizons. Despite the complicated solution, the thermodynamical quantities, like t…
The Bardeen black hole solution is the first spherically symmetric regular black hole based on the Sakharov and Gliner proposal which is a modification of the Schwarzschild black hole. We present the Bardeen black hole solution in the presence of the de Rham, Gabadaadze, and Tolly (dRGT) massive gravity, which is regular everywhere in the presence of a nonlinear source. The obtained solution reduces to the Bardeen black hole in the absence of a massive gravity parameter, and the Schwarzschild black hole when magnetic charge $g = 0$. We investigated the thermodynamic quantities, that is, mass (…
Thermodynamics, thermodynamic geometry, and the shadow of a Bardeen black hole surrounded by a Kiselev fluid: the role of regularity, asymptotics, and observational self-consistency
The phase transition of a Bardeen black hole is studied by considering Ehrenfest's equations. The thermodynamic variables such as entropy, potential and heat capacity are calculated from the first law of thermodynamics for black holes. That no discontinuity in entropy and potential of the black holes means that the first order phase transition will not generate for the Bardeen black holes. However, the divergence of heat capacity at constant potential and satisfaction of the Ehrenfest's equations indicates that the second order phase transition of Bardeen black hole will appear.
We derive a rotating counterpart of the five-dimensional electrically charged Bardeen regular black holes spacetime by employing the Giampieri algorithm on static one. The associated nonlinear electrodynamics source is computed in order to justify the rotating solution. We thoroughly discuss the energy conditions and the other properties of the rotating spacetime. The black hole thermodynamics of the rotating spacetime is also presented. In particular, the thermodynamic quantities such as the Hawking temperature and the heat capacity are calculated and plotted to see the thermal behavior. The …
In the present paper, we investigate the required anisotropy of an exact regular Bardeen black hole characterized by its mass $M$, the nonlinear parameter $g$, the quintessence field parameter $a$ in anti-de sitter spacetime with a static quintessence matter field. We also show that the relative pressure anisotropy, equation of state and the pressure depends on radial coordinate, reflecting the required anisotropy for Bardeen black hole in the quintessence background. Next, we analyze the Joule-Thompson ($JT$) expansion of the black hole spacetime. Treating the cosmological constant as thermod…
The purpose of this paper is to study quasinormal modes (QNM) of the Bardeen black hole due to scalar perturbations. We have done a thorough analysis of the QNM frequencies by varying the charge $q$, mass $M$ and the spherical harmonic index $l$. The unstable null geodesics are used to compute the QNM's in the eikonal limit. Furthermore, massive scalar field modes are also studied by varying the mass of the field. Comparisons are done with the QNM frequencies of the Reissner-Nordstrom black hole.
In this paper we present a Bardeen solution surrounded by a cloud of strings fluid. We show how this model has the same event horizon characteristic as the Bardeen solution, however, the parameter of the strings make the solution singular at the origin. We also analyze the solution from a thermodynamic point of view. We calculate the system's state function, enthalpy; the temperature; and the other potentials; as a function of entropy. By analyzing the thermodynamic coefficients, we show that the solution presents three distinct phases, two of which are stable and one unstable. These three pha…
We give a detailed discussion of the use of the (3+1) decomposition and of Bardeen's variables in massive gravity linearized over a Minkowski as well as over a de Sitter background. In Minkowski space the Bardeen "potential" Φ, that in the massless case is a non-radiative degree of freedom, becomes radiative and describes the helicity-0 component of the massive graviton. Its dynamics is governed by a simple Klein-Gordon action, supplemented by a term (\Box Φ)^2 if we do not make the Fierz-Pauli tuning of the mass term. In de Sitter the identification of the variable that describes the radiativ…
In this paper, we discuss remnants of the Bardeen regular black hole motivated by using the concept of thermal fluctuations. First, we derive the equilibrium values of various thermodynamic quantities like entropy, Hawking temperature, pressure, internal energy, Helmholtz free energy and Gibbs free energy in the non-extended phase space. We then discuss geometrothermodynamics (GTD) of Bardeen black hole to study its stability. Next, we estimate the size of black hole remnant in terms of some known parameters of the black hole solution. Motivated by the fact that estimation of size, characteris…
We find an exact spherically symmetric regular Bardeen-like solutions by considering the coupling between Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory and nonlinear electrodynamics (NED) in five-dimensional spacetime. These solutions, with an additional parameter $g$ apart from the mass $M$, represent black holes with Cauchy and event horizons, extremal black holes with degenerate horizons or no black holes in the absence of the horizons, and encompasses as a special case Boulware-Deser black holes which can be recovered in the absence of magnetic charge ($g=0$). Owing to the NED corrected black hole, the the…
So far the study of black hole perturbations has been mostly focussed upon the classical black holes with singularities at the origin and hidden by event horizon. Compared to that, the regular black holes are a completely new class of solutions arising out of modification of general theory of relativity by coupling gravity to an external form of matter. Therefore it is extremely important to study the behaviour of such regular black holes under different types of perturbations. Recently a new regular Bardeen black hole solution with a de Sitter branch has been proposed by Fernando. We compute …
The dependence of the black hole (BH) shadow and thermodynamics may be structured in the regular spacetime. Taking the regular Bardeen-AdS BH as an example, the relationship between the shadow radius and the event horizon radius is derived. It is found that these two radii display a positive correlation, implying that the BH temperature can be rewritten as a function of shadow radius in the regular spacetime. By analyzing the phase transition curves under the shadow context, we found that the shadow radius can replace the event horizon radius to present the BH phase transition process, and the…
We obtain exact Bardeen black holes to the regularized $4D$ Einstein--Gauss--Bonnet (EGB) gravity minimally coupled with the nonlinear electrodynamics (NED). In turn, we analyze the horizon structure to determine the effect of GB parameter $α$ on the minimum cutoff values of mass, $M_0$, and magnetic monopole charge, $g_0$, for the existence of a black hole horizon. We obtain an exact expression for thermodynamic quantities, namely, Hawking temperature $T_+$, entropy $S_+$, Helmholtz free energy $F_+$, and specific heat $C_+$ associated with the black hole horizon, and they show significant de…
A string is the one-dimensional generalization of a point particle. In this sense, the analog of a cloud of dust would be a cloud of strings. In this work, we consider a cloud of strings around a regular solution in general gelativity. We consider the Bardeen solution and the Simpson--Visser solution, analyzing the consequences of the cloud in the regularity and in the energy conditions. Actually, the presence of the cloud could make the energy density positive when compared to the Simpson--Visser case. We verify that the usual Bardeen solution becomes singular in the presence of the cloud of …
We investigate a puzzle in the recent thermodynamics of scalar-tensor gravity, in which general relativity is a zero-temperature state of equilibrium and scalar-tensor gravity is the non-equilibrium configuration of an effective dissipative fluid. A stealth solution of Brans-Dicke gravity with constant positive temperature is shown to be analogous to a metastable state for the effective fluid and to suffer from an instability. The stability analysis employs a version of the Bardeen-Ellis-Bruni-Hwang gauge-invariant formalism for cosmological perturbations adapted to modified gravity. The metas…
Observation indicates that many nearby galaxies host supermassive central black holes. Modelling Bardeen models in four-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (4D EGB) gravity, with additional parameters $\tildeα$ and charge $q$, as central black holes in various galaxies, we investigate gravitational lensing properties in strong deflection limits. Interestingly, the spherical photon orbit radius $x_m$, the critical impact parameter $u_m$, the lensing coefficient $\bar{b}$, the deflection angle $α_D(θ)$, angular position $θ_{\infty}$ are decreasing with $q$ and $α$ whereas the other lensing coeffic…
The exact solutions of the Dirac equation that describe a massive, non-charged particle with spin-(1/2) in the curved spacetime geometry of regular Bardeen black hole surrounded by quintessence (BBHSQ) are investigated. We first derive the Dirac equation in the BBHSQ background using a null tetrad in the Newman-Penrose formalism. Afterward, we separate the Dirac equation into ordinary differential equations for the radial and angular parts. The angular equations are solved exactly in terms of standard spherical harmonics. The radial part equations are transformed into a Schrödinger like differ…
In this paper we study the thermodynamics and state space geometry of regular black hole solutions such as Bardeen black hole, Ayón-Beato and García black hole, Hayward black hole and Berej-Matyjasek-Trynieki-Wornowicz black hole. We find that all these black holes show second order thermodynamic phase transitions(SOTPT) by observing discontinuities in heat capacity-entropy graphs as well as the cusp type double point in free energy-temperature graph. Using the formulation of geometrothermodynamics we again find the singularities in the heat capacity of the black holes by calculating the curva…
Universal thermodynamics for FRW model of the Universe bounded by apparent/event horizon has been considered for massive gravity theory. Assuming Hawking temperature and using the unified first law of thermodynamics on the horizon, modified entropy on the horizon has been determined. For simple perfect fluid with constant equation of state, generalized second law of thermodynamics and thermodynamical equilibrium have been examined on both the horizons.
The objective of this paper is to study the thermodynamics and thermodynamic geometry of charged de-Sitter and charged anti de-Sitter black hole solutions in massive gravity. We study the effect of curvature parameter as well as the mass of graviton in the thermodynamics of the black hole system. We further extend our studies to different topology of the space time and its effects on phase transition and thermodynamics. In addition, the phase transition structure of the black hole and its interactions are reproduced using geometrothermodynamics.
We calculate explicitly the black-hole temperature for the Schwarzschild de-Sitter solution inside massive gravity by defining the Killing-vector in the direction of the Stückelberg function. We then consider the conditions which an observer in massive gravity has to obey in order to agree with the standard results of General Relativity.
In this work we study the Quasi Normal Modes(QNMs) under massless scalar perturbations and the thermodynamics of linearly charged BTZ black holes in massive gravity in the (Anti)de Sitter((A)dS) space time. It is found that the behavior of QNMs changes with the massive parameter and also with the charge of the black hole. The thermodynamics of such black holes in the (A)dS space time is also analyzed in detail. The behavior of specific heat with temperature for such black holes gives an indication of a phase transition that depends on the massive parameter and also on the charge of the black h…
