In the present paper, we investigate the required anisotropy of an exact regular Bardeen black hole characterized by its mass $M$, the nonlinear parameter $g$, the quintessence field parameter $a$ in anti-de sitter spacetime with a static quintessence matter field. We also show that the relative pressure anisotropy, equation of state and the pressure depends on radial coordinate, reflecting the required anisotropy for Bardeen black hole in the quintessence background.
Next, we analyze the Joule-Thompson ($JT$) expansion of the black hole spacetime. Treating the cosmological constant as thermodynamic pressure $P$ and its conjugate quantity as thermodynamic volume $V$ we derive the equation of state connecting Hawking temperature and various black hole parameters. We study the $JT$ expansion in the regular Bardeen AdS black holes in the quintessence background through the analysis of inversion temperature and isenthalpic curves. We derive the $JT$ coefficient $μ$, and use them to plot the inversion and isenthalpic curves. We discuss the effect of quintessence parameter $a$ and $ω_q$ on the $JT$ coefficient and inversion temperature, especially with the case of $ω_q=-1$ and $ω_q=-\frac{1}{3}$. Our analysis shows that quintessence dark energy affects the inversion point $(T_i,P_i)$ .
In this paper, we study Joule-Thomson effects for the torus-like black hole. The Joule-Thomson coefficients, the inversion curves and the isenthalpic curves are studied. Furthermore, we investigate similarities and differences between the Van der Waals fluid, the torus-like black hole and the charged AdS black holes for the expansion. The isenthalpic curves in the $T-P$ plane are obtained. Moreover, we determine the cooling-heating regions.
The Joule-Thomson expansion process is studied for Bardeen-AdS black holes in the extended phase space. Firstly, we get Joule-Thomson coefficient and find that the divergent point of Joule-Thomson coefficient coincides with the zero point of temperature. The inversion curves are also obtained from the zero point of Joule-Thomson coefficient. Then the minimum inversion temperature and the corresponding mass are obtained. In addition, the ratio between minimum inversion and critical temperature for Bardeen-AdS black holes is also calculated. We obtain the isenthalpic curve in $T$-$P$ graph and d…
In this paper, we investigate the Joule Thomson effects for AdS black holes with a global monopole. We study the effect of the global monopole parameter η on the inversion temperature and isenthalpic curves. The obtained result is compared with Joule Thomson expansion of van der Waals fluid and the equivalence were noted. Phase transition occuring in the extended phase space of this black hole is analogous to van der Waals gas. Our study shows that global monopole parameter η plays a very important role in Joule Thomson expansion.
In this paper, we study Joule-Thomson expansion for Hayward-AdS black hole in the extended phase space, and obtain a Joule-Thomson expansion formula for the black hole. We plot the inversion and isenthalpic curves in the T-P plane, and determine the cooling-heating regions. The intersection points of the isenthalpic and inversion curves are exactly the inversion points discriminating the heating process from the cooling one.
In this paper, we study Joule-Thomson effects for charged AdS black holes. We obtain inversion temperatures and curves. We investigate similarities and differences between van der Waals fluids and charged AdS black holes for the expansion. We obtain isenthalpic curves for both systems in $T-P$ plane and determine the cooling-heating regions.
We study the Joule-Thomson expansion in Einstein-Maxwell theory supplemented with the so-called quasitopological electromagnetism, this in the extended phase space thermodynamic approach. We compute the Joule-Thomson coefficient and depict all relevant inversion and isenthalpic curves in the temperature-pressure plane, determining in this manner the corresponding cooling and heating regions. In contrast with previous related works we show the existence of three branches for the inversion curves which depends on suitable selections of the parameter space of the theory, thus departing from the u…
Effects of the dimensionality on the Joule-Thomson expansion are discussed in detail by considering the case of $d$-dimensional charged AdS black holes. Specifically, we investigate three important aspects characteristic of the Joule-Thomson expansion. Namely, the Joule-Thomson coefficient, the inversion curves and the isenthalpic curves. We utilize two different approaches to derive the explicit expression of the Joule-Thomson coefficient and show that both approaches are consistent with each other. The divergent point and the zero point of the Joule-Thomson coefficient are discussed. The for…
In this paper, we study the Joule-Thomson expansion for RN-AdS black holes immersed in perfect fluid dark matter. Firstly, the negative cosmological constant could be interpreted as thermodynamic pressure and its conjugate quantity with the volume gave us more physical insights into the black hole. We derive the thermodynamic definitions and study the critical behaviour of this black hole. Secondly, the explicit expression of Joule-Thomson coefficient is obtained from the basic formulas of enthalpy and temperature. Then, we obtain the isenthalpic curve in $T-P$ graph and demonstrate the coolin…
We consider the charged d-dimensional black holes in a cavity in extended phase space and investigate the heat engine and the Joule-Thomson (JT) expansion. Since the phase structure of black holes in a cavity is similar to anti-de-sitter (AdS) cases, we take black holes in a cavity as the working substance in the heat engine and calculate their efficiency in Carnot cycle and rectangular cycle. Also, we discuss whether the JT expansion of charged black holes in a cavity is consistent with AdS cases and conclude the effect of different boundary conditions on black hole thermodynamics.
In this paper, the Joule-Thomson expansion of Born-Infeld AdS black holes is studied in the extended phase space, where the cosmological constant is identified with the pressure. The Joule-Thomson coefficient, the inversion curves and the isenthalpic curves are discussed in detail by 4-dimensional black hole. The critical point of Born-Infeld black hole is depicted with varying parameter $β$ and the charge $Q$. In $T-P$ plane, the inversion temperature curves and isenthalpic curves are obtained with different parameter $β$ and the charge $Q$. We find that the missing negative slope is still co…
Joule-Thomson expansion process is studied for charged Gauss-Bonnet black holes in AdS space. Firstly, in five-dimensional space-time, the isenthalpic curve in $T-P$ graph is obtained and the cooling-heating region is determined. Secondly, the explicit expression of Joule-Thomson coefficient is obtained from the basic formulas of enthalpy and temperature. Our methods can also be applied to van der Waals system as well as other black hole systems. And the inversion curve $\tilde{T}(\tilde{P})$ which separates the cooling region and heating region is obtained and investigated. Thirdly, interesti…
Herein, we focus on the study of Joule-Thomson expansion corresponding to a d-dimensional charged AdS black hole with cloud of strings and quintessence. Then its relevant solution and some thermodynamic properties are investigated. Specifically, we evaluate its Joule-Thomson expansion from four important aspects, including the Joule-Thomson coefficient, inversion curve, isenthalpic curve, and ratio $\frac{T_{i}^{min}}{T_{c}}$. After analysis, different dimensions with strings of cloud and quintessence parameters have different effects on the Joule-Thomson coefficient (the same situation are fo…
In this paper, we have considered the heat engine and Joule-Thomson expansion for the charged AdS black hole in the context of the non-linear electrodynamics and massive gravity. For the black hole heat engine, we obtained the analytical expression for the efficiency in terms of either the entropies or the temperatures and pressures in various limits. For the Joule-Thomson expansion of the black hole, we derived the isenthalpic curves in $T-P$ diagram, the Joule-Thomson coefficient, and the inversion curves. We also indicated in detail the effects of the non-linear electrodynamics and massive …
In this paper, we attempt to study the Joule-Thomson expansion for the regular black hole in an anti-de Sitter background, and obtain the inversion temperature and curve for the Bardeen-AdS black hole in the extended phase space. We investigate the isenthalpic and inversion curves for the Bardeen-AdS black hole in the T-P plane to find the intersection points between them are exactly the inversion points discriminating the heating process from the cooling one. And, the inversion curve for the regular(Bardeen)-AdS black hole is not closed and there is only a lower inversion curve in contrast wi…
In this paper, we study Joule-Thomson expansion for Kerr-AdS black holes in the extended phase space. Joule-Thomson expansion formula of Kerr-AdS black holes is derived. We investigate both isenthalpic and numerical inversion curves in the T-P plane and demonstrate the cooling-heating regions for Kerr-AdS black holes. We also calculate the ratio between minimum inversion and critical temperatures for Kerr-AdS black holes.
The inner structure of realistic materials make them exhibit momentum relaxation. In this paper we study the holographic version of the Joule-Thomson effect on AdS black holes in which translational invariance is broken by two methods: First by considering planar black holes in general relativity supported by axion scalar fields with a linear dependence on the horizon coordinates and secondly by considering black holes in massive gravity models in which momentum relaxation is obtained by breaking the bulk diffeomorphism invariance of the theory. In contrast with black holes studied so far, for…
Effects of Lovelock gravity on the Joule-Thomson expansion are probed from various perspectives. The well-known Joule-Thomson coefficient is derived with both the explicit expression and intuitive image presented. Moreover, the inversion curves showing the relation between the inversion temperature and the inversion pressure are studied. It is shown that for given inversion pressure, the inversion temperature of the case $α\neq0$ ($α$ is the Lovelock parameter) is much lower than that of the case $α=0$. And the inversion temperature tends to decrease with $α$, in contrast to the effect of the …
In this paper, the thermodynamical properties and the phase transitions of the charged accelerating anti-de Sitter (AdS) black holes are investigated in the framework of the $f(R)$ gravity. By studying the conditions for the phase transitions, it has been shown that the $P-V$ criticality and the van der Waals like phase transitions can be achieved for $ T \approx T_{c} $. The Joule-Thomson expansion effects are also examined for the charged accelerating AdS black holes of the $f(R)$ gravity. Here, we derive the inversion temperatures as well as the inversion curves. Then, we determine the posi…
In this paper, we extend Joule-Thomson expansion to the low-dimensional regime in rainbow gravity by considering the rainbow rotating BTZ metric in the (2+1)-dimensional spacetime. After the metric of the black hole is obtained, we get the Joule-Thomson expansion of the black hole, including the Joule-Thomson coefficient, inversion curves, and isenthalpic curves. We find that a rainbow rotating BTZ black hole does not have $P-V$ critical behavior. The effects of rainbow gravity are to slow down the trend of the increase of the Joule-Thomson coefficient and make its zero point larger. Moreover,…
The Joule-Thomson expansion is extended to the lower-dimensional regime by considering the rotating BTZ metric in the (2+1)-dimensional space-time. Specifically, the properties of three important aspects of the Joule-Thomson expansion, namely the Joule-Thomson coefficient, the inversion curve and the isenthalpic curve are focused on. The divergence point of the Joule-Thomson coefficient and the zero point of the Hawking temperature are studied. The inversion temperature curves and isenthalpic curves in the $T-P$ plane are obtained and the cooling-heating regions are determined. Furthermore, th…
In this paper, the Joule-Thomson expansion of the higher dimensional nonlinearly AdS black hole with power Maxwell invariant source is investigated. The results show the Joule-Thomson coefficient has a zero point and a divergent point, which are coincide with the inversion temperature $T_i$ and the zero point of Hawking temperature, respectively. The inversion temperature increases monotonously with inversion pressure. For high-pressure region, the inversion temperature decreases with the dimensionality $D$ and the nonlinearity parameter $s$, whereas it increases with the charge $Q$. However, …
The Joule-Thomson expansion is studied for Reissner-Nordström-Anti-de Sitter black holes with cloud of strings and quintessence, as well as its thermodynamics. The cosmological constant is treated as thermodynamic pressure, whose conjugate variable is considered as the volume. The characteristics of the Joule-Thomson expansion are studied in four main aspects with the case of $ω=-1$ and $ω=-\frac{2}{3}$, including the Joule-Thomson coefficient, the inversion curves, the isenthalpic curves and the ratio between $T_{i}^{min}$ and $T_{c}$. The sign of the Joule-Thomson coefficient is possible for…
In this work we study the Joule-Thomson expansion for uncharged black holes in a noncommutative scenario characterized by a parameter $θ$, which is present in the horizon function. We calculate the inversion temperature for some values of $θ$ and the isenthalpics for fixed masses. We find that the uncharged noncommutative black hole behaves as a charged commutative one.
In this paper, the Joule{Thomson expansion of Born{Infeld AdS black holes in the consistent Aoki{Gorji{Mukohyama theory of 4D Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity is studied in the extended phase space. We further analyze the effect of parameters αand βon the inversion curves and plot the inversion and isenthalpic curves in the T-P plane, which can determine the cooling-heating regions.
In this paper, we study Joule-Thomson effects for charged AdS black holes in $f(R)$ gravity. We obtain the inversion temperatures as well as inversion curves, and investigate similarities and differences between van der Waals fluids and charged AdS black holes in $f(R)$ gravity for this expansion. In addition, we determine the position of the inversion point versus different values of the mass $M$, the charge $Q$ and the parameter $b$ for such black hole. At this point, the Joule-Thomson coefficient $μ$ vanishes, an import feature that we used to obtain the cooling-heating regions by scrutiniz…
In this paper we study Joule-Thomson $(JT)$ expansion of non-linearly charged $AdS$ black holes in Einstein-power-Yang-Mills (EPYM) gravity in $D$ dimensions. Within the framework of extended phase space thermodynamics we identify the cosmological constant as thermodynamic pressure and the black hole mass with the enthalpy and derive the Joule-Thomson coefficient $μ$. Furthermore we have presented equations for inversion curves and the exact expression for the minimum inversion temperature. We also have calculated the ratio between the minimum of inversion $T_i^{min}$ and the critical temperat…
Instead of the work \cite{1} which in according to the Lovelock theorem it could not applicable for all types of 4D curved spacetimes of Einstein Gauss Bonnet (EGB) gravity, authors of the work \cite{2} applied break of diffeomorphism property to present a consistent EGB gravity theory. In this work we use the latter model by adding a nonlinear electromagnetic field lagrangian density to study affects of GB coupling constant into the thermodynamic phase transition and Joule Thomson (JT) adiabatic expansion of a 4D $dS/AdS$ GB Bardeen black hole.
Based on the Einstein-Maxwell theory, the Joule-Thomson (J-T) expansion of charged dilatonic black holes (the solutions are neither flat nor AdS) in $(n+1)$-dimensional spacetime is studied herein. To this end, we analyze the effects of the dimension $n$ and dilaton field $α$ on J-T expansion. An explicit expression for the J-T coefficient is derived, and consequently, a negative heat capacity is found to lead to a cooling process. In contrast to its effect on the dimension, the inversion curve decreases with charge $Q$ at low pressures, whereas the opposite effect is observed at high pressure…
In this paper, we investigate the thermal stability and Joule-Thomson expansion of some new qusitopological black hole solutions. We first study the higher-dimensional static quasitopological black hole solutions in the presence of Born-Infeld, exponential and logarithmic nonlinear electrodynamics. The stable regions of these solutions are independent of the types of the nonlinear electrodynamics. The solutions with the horizons relating to the positive constant curvature, $k=+1$, have a larger region in thermal stability, if we choose positive quasitopological coefficients, $μ_{i}>0$. We also…
In this letter we investigate the throttling process of the charged Anti-de Sitter (AdS) black holes in the rainbow gravity. In the extended phase space of these black holes, the cosmological constant plays the role of a varying thermodynamic pressure and the black hole mass is identified with the thermodynamic enthalpy. We derive exact expressions for the Joule-Thomson coefficient and the inversion temperature in terms of black hole parameters and constants of rainbow gravity analytically, and then perform a numerical analysis for the isenthalpic and inversion curves of charged AdS black hole…

In this work we investigate corrections of the quintessence regime of the dark energy on the Joule-Thomson (JT) effect of the Reissner Nordström anti de Sitter (RNAdS) black hole. The quintessence dark energy has equation of state as $p_q=ωρ_q$ in which $-1<ω<-\frac{1}{3}.$ Our calculations are restricted to ansatz: $ω=-1$ (the cosmological constant regime) and $ω=-\frac{2}{3}$ (quintessence dark energy). To study the JT expansion of the AdS gas under the constant black hole mass, we calculate inversion temperature $T_i$ of the quintessence RNAdS black hole where its cooling phase is changed t…
In this paper, the author study the throttling process of the Rotating Bardeen-AdS black hole in a systematic way. In the exended phase space, the mass of black holes should be viewed as entheply. We derive the Joule-Thomson coefficient $μ$ explicitly, and with numerical method, we depict the inversion curves and isenthalpic curves with different parameter $J$ and $g$. It is found that there are only minimum inversion temperature but no maximum inversion temperture, and the ratio between minimum inversion temperature $T_{min}$ and critical temperature $T_C$ is a little greater than $1/2$, and …

In this paper, we present the analytic solution for Anti-de Sitter-Nonlinear electrodynamics (AdS-NED) black hole in four dimensions. We study tunneling of vector particles from the AdS-NED black hole to find Hawking temperature as well as its thermodynamical properties in usual and extended phase space. Then we explore the properties of pressure-volume criticality by analyzing the phase diagram and its free energy. Finally, we investigate the Joule-Thomson coefficient, in which the inversion curve of warming and cooling are studied, and the ratio between the inverse temperature and critical t…
We first review the general class of accelerating, rotating and charged Plebanski-Demianski (PD) black holes in presence of cosmological constant, which includes the Kerr-Newman rotating black hole and the Taub-NUT spacetime. We assume that the thermodynamical pressure may be described by the negative cosmological constant and so the black hole represents anti-de Sitter (AdS) PD black hole. The thermodynamic quantities like surface area, entropy, volume, temperature, Gibb's and Helmholtz's free energies of the AdS PD black hole are obtained due to the thermodynamic system. Next we find the cri…
