We derive a rotating counterpart of the five-dimensional electrically charged Bardeen regular black holes spacetime by employing the Giampieri algorithm on static one. The associated nonlinear electrodynamics source is computed in order to justify the rotating solution. We thoroughly discuss the energy conditions and the other properties of the rotating spacetime. The black hole thermodynamics of the rotating spacetime is also presented. In particular, the thermodynamic quantities such as the Hawking temperature and the heat capacity are calculated and plotted to see the thermal behavior. The Hawking temperature profile of the black hole implies that the regular black holes are thermally colder than its singular counterpart. On the other hand, we find that the heat capacity has two branches: the negative branch corresponds to the unstable phase and the positive branch corresponds to that of the stable phase for a suitable choice of the physical parameters characterizing the black holes.
We study quasinormal modes (QNMs) in 5D electrically charged Bardeen black holes spacetime by considering the scalar and electromagnetic field perturbations. The black holes spacetime is an exact solution of Einstein gravity coupled to nonlinear electrodynamics in five dimensions, which has nonsingular behavior. To calculate QNMs, we use the WKB approximation method up to sixth order. Due to the presence of electric charge $q_e > 0$, both the scalar and electromagnetic field perturbations decay more slowly when compared to the Schwarzschild-Tangherlini black holes. We discover that the scalar …
In this paper we consider rotating modified Hayward and rotating modified Bardeen black holes as particle accelerators. We investigate the center of mass energy of two colliding neutral particles with same rest masses falling from rest at infinity to near the horizons of the mentioned black holes. We investigate the range of the particle's angular momentum and the orbit of the particle. We also investigate the center of mass energy for extremal black hole.
In this paper, the author study the throttling process of the Rotating Bardeen-AdS black hole in a systematic way. In the exended phase space, the mass of black holes should be viewed as entheply. We derive the Joule-Thomson coefficient $μ$ explicitly, and with numerical method, we depict the inversion curves and isenthalpic curves with different parameter $J$ and $g$. It is found that there are only minimum inversion temperature but no maximum inversion temperture, and the ratio between minimum inversion temperature $T_{min}$ and critical temperature $T_C$ is a little greater than $1/2$, and …
In this paper, the greybody factor is studied analytically for a rotating regular Bardeen black hole surrounded by perfect fluid dark matter. Firstly, we examine the behavior of effective potential by using the radial equation of motion developed from the Klein-Gordon equation. We then consider tortoise coordinate to convert the radial equation into Schrödinger form equation. We solve the radial equation of motion and obtain two different asymptotic solutions in terms of hypergeometric function measured at distinct regimes so called near and far-field horizons. These solutions are smoothly mat…
In this paper, we formulate an analytical expression of greybody factor in the context of rotating Bardeen black hole which is valid in low energy and low angular momentum region. Primarily, we analyze the profile of effective potential which originates the absorption probability. We then derive two asymptotic solutions by solving the radial part of Klein-Gordon equation in two different regions, namely, black hole and far-field horizons. We match these solutions smoothly to an intermediate regime to extend our results over the whole radial coordinate. In order to elaborate on the significance…
Bardeen proposed a gravitationally collapsing magnetic monopole black hole solution which is free of singularity. In this article, we have studied the size and shape of the rotating Bardeen blackhole shadow in presence of perfect fluid dark matter. we have discussed how the parameters such a spin, magnetic monopole charge and influence of dark matter affects the shadow of our blackhole. The apparent shape of the blackhole was studied by using two observables, the radius Rs and the distortion parameter R_s. Further the blackhole emission rate is also studied, we found out that for rotating Bard…
Using the Hamilton-Jacobi method, we study certain optical shadows of rotating Bardeen-AdS black holes in the presence of internal and external field contributions. Precisely, we examine the shadow using one-dimensional real curves. By establishing the equations of motion of such AdS black holes without external dark sectors, we first analyze the shadow configurations in terms of a reduced moduli space involving only internal parameter contributions including the charge of the nonlinear electrodynamics. Among others, we find that this parameter serves as a geometric quantity controlling the sh…
We investigate the horizon structure and ergosphere in a rotating Bardeen regular black hole, which has an additional parameter ($g$) due to magnetic charge, apart from mass ($M$) and rotation parameter ($a$). Interestingly, for each value of parameter $g$, there exist a critical rotation parameter ($a=a_{E}$), which corresponds to an extremal black hole with degenerate horizons, while for $a<a_{E}$ describes a non-extremal black hole with two horizons, and no black hole for $a>a_{E}$. We find that the extremal value $a_E$ is also influenced by the parameter $g$ and so is the ergosphere. While…
We derive an exact solution of the spherically symmetric Bardeen black hole surrounded by perfect fluid dark matter (PFDM). By treating the magnetic charge $g$ and dark matter parameter $α$ as thermodynamic variables, we find that the thermodynamic first law and the corresponding Smarr formula are satisfied. The thermodynamic stability of the black hole is also studied. The result show that, there exists a critical radius $r_{+}^{C}$, where the heat capacity diverges, suggesting that the black hole is thermodynamically stable in the range $0<r_{+}<r_{+}^{C}$. In addition, the critical radius $…
We construct dyons, and electrically charged monopole-antimonopole pairs and vortex rings in Yang-Mills-Higgs theory coupled to Einstein gravity. The solutions are stationary, axially symmetric and asymptotically flat. The dyons with magnetic charge $n\ge 2$ represent non-static solutions with vanishing angular momentum. The electrically charged monopole-antimonopole pairs and vortex rings, in contrast, possess vanishing magnetic charge, but finite angular momentum, equaling $n$ times their electric charge.
We obtain static and rotating electrically charged black holes of a Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton theory of the Brans-Dicke type in (2+1)-dimensions. The theory is specified by three fields, the dilaton, the graviton and the electromagnetic field, and two parameters, the cosmological constant and the Brans-Dicke parameter. It contains eight different cases, of which one distinguishes as special cases, string theory, general relativity and a theory equivalent to four dimensional general relativity with one Killing vector. We find the ADM mass, angular momentum, electric charge and dilaton charge and…
We calculated the dimensionless gyromagnetic ratio ("$g$-factor") of self-gravitating, uniformly rotating disks of dust with a constant specific charge $ε$. These disk solutions to the Einstein-Maxwell equations depend on $ε$ and a "relativity parameter" $γ$ ($0<γ\le 1$) up to a scaling parameter. Accordingly, the $g$-factor is a function $g=g(γ,ε)$. The Newtonian limit is characterized by $γ\ll 1$, whereas $γ\to 1$ leads to a black-hole limit. The $g$-factor, for all $ε$, approaches the values $g=1$ as $γ\to 0$ and $g=2$ as $γ\to 1$.
In nonlinear electrodynamics coupled to gravity, regular spherically symmetric electrically charged solutions satisfy the weak energy condition and have obligatory de Sitter centre. By the Gürses-Gürsey algorithm they are transformed to spinning electrically charged solutions asymptotically Kerr-Newman for a distant observer. Rotation transforms de Sitter center into de Sitter vacuum surface which contains equatorial disk $r=0$ as a bridge. We present general analysis of the horizons, ergoregions and de Sitter surfaces, as well as the conditions of the existence of regular solutions to the fie…
In this article, we study the particle dynamics around a static and spherically symmetric Bardeen-Kiselev black hole (BK BH) which is a solution of the Einstein-non-linear Maxwell field equations along with a quintessential field. We discuss its essential geometrical properties such as scalar invariants and size of innermost stable circular orbits. Dynamics of test particles around the BH is also studied. Moreover, we also computed the fundamental frequencies of a test particle orbiting the BH in a slightly perturbed orbit. Further, the degeneracy relations between the spin of rotating Kerr BH…
We construct generating solutions for general D-dimensional ($4 \le D \le 9$) rotating, electrically charged, black holes in the effective action of toroidally compactified heterotic (or Type IIA) string. The generating solution is parameterized by the ADM mass, two electric charges and $[{D-1}\over 2]$ angular momenta (as well as the asymptotic values of one toroidal modulus and the dilaton field). For $D \ge 6$, those are generating solutions for {\it general} black holes in toroidally compactified heterotic (or type IIA) string. Since in the BPS-limit (extreme limit) these solutions have si…
Quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) observed in the power spectrum of black holes are unique observational probes to the background spacetime since they can be directly related to the timescales associated with the motion of matter orbiting in the vicinity of the black hole horizon. In this regard, the high frequency QPOs (HFQPOs) are particularly interesting as they occur in commensurable pairs, the most common ratio being the 3:2 twin peak QPOs. The theoretical models which aim to explain these QPOs express the observed frequencies in terms of the epicyclic motion of test particles in a given…

We discuss a new analytic solution to the Einstein-Maxwell field equations that describes electrically charged black holes with a slow rotation and with a single angular momentum in all higher dimensions. We also compute the gyromagnetic ratio of these black holes.
We revisit here a recent work on regular rotating black holes. We introduce a new mass function generalizing the commonly used Bardeen and Hayward mass functions and extend the recently proposed solutions in order to accommodate a cosmological constant $Λ$. We discuss some aspects of the causal structure (horizons) and the ergospheres of the new proposed solutions. We also show that, in contrast with the spherically symmetrical case, the black hole rotation will unavoidably lead to the violation of the weak energy condition for any physically reasonable choice of the mass function, reinforcing…
Regular black holes are crucially important as approaches to solving the singularity problem, and in this paper, the accretion disk of Bardeen and Hayward models have been studied. For this purpose, we calculated the physical properties of black holes, including radiant energy, luminosity derivative, temperature, and conversion efficiency of accretion mass into radiation. The obtained results show that the non-zero-free parameters of regular black holes cause the radius of the innermost stable circular orbit of the disk to shift to smaller values. As a result of this displacement, we saw an in…
We investigate the properties of non-rotating, electrically charged strange quark stars in four-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell theory. For quark matter we adopt the well-motivated quantum chromodynamics (QCD) equation-of-state, while for the charge density we assume it is proportional to the mass density. The system of coupled structure equations are integrated numerically, and we compute the mass, the radius as well as the total electric charge of the stars. Moreover, we perform a detailed numerical study of the effect of electric charge using the interacting quark equation-of-state. We find th…
The Event Horizon Telescope, a global submillimeter wavelength very long baseline interferometry array, produced the first image of supermassive black hole M87* showing a ring of diameter $θ_d= 42\pm 3\,μ$as, inferred a black hole mass of $M=(6.5 \pm 0.7) \times 10^9 M_\odot $ and allowed us to investigate the nature of strong-field gravity. The observed image is consistent with the shadow of a Kerr black hole, which according to the Kerr hypothesis describes the background spacetimes of all astrophysical black holes. The hypothesis, a strong-field prediction of general relativity, may be viol…
Electrically charged systems bound by a strong gravitational force can sustain a huge amount of electric charge (up to 10^20C) against Coulomb repulsion. General relativistically such systems form a stable hydrostatic configuration both in the non-rotating and rotating cases. Here we study the effects of electric charge (electric energy density) on the spacetime outside a rotating electrically charged system bound by a strong gravitational force. In particular we investigate the effect of charge density on frame-dragging of spacetime in the exterior region. Using the coupled Einstein-Maxwell e…
The scalar radiation emitted by a source in geodesic circular orbit around a regular Bardeen black hole is analyzed. We use the quantum field theory in curved spacetime framework to obtain the emitted power of radiation by computing the one-particle emission amplitude of scalar particles in the curved background. We compare our results to a similar setting in the spacetime of a Reissner-Nordström black hole.
In the present paper we construct a new solution to the Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton gravity equations describing electrically charged dilaton black holes immersed in a strong external magnetic field and we study its properties. The black holes described by the solution are rotating but with zero total angular momentum and possess an ergoregion confined in a neighborhood of the horizon. Our results also show that the external magnetic field does not affect the black hole thermodynamics.
The Kerr black holes possess a photon region with prograde and retrograde orbits radii, respectively, $M\leq r_p^-\leq 3M$ and $3M\leq r_p^+\leq 4M$, and thereby always cast a closed photon ring or a shadow silhouette for $a\leq M$. For $a>M$, it is a no-horizon spacetime (naked singularity) wherein prograde orbits spiral into the central singularity, and retrograde orbits produce an arc-like shadow with a dark spot at the center. We compare Kerr black holes' photon ring structure with those produced by three rotating regular spacetimes, viz. Bardeen, Hayward, and nonsingular. These are non-Ke…
The exact global solution of the Einstein equations [Neugebauer & Meinel, Phys. Rev. Lett. 75 (1995) 3046] describing a rigidly rotating, self-gravitating disk is discussed. The underlying matter model is a perfect fluid in the limit of vanishing pressure. The solution represents the general-relativistic analogue of the classical Maclaurin disk. It was derived by applying solution techniques from soliton theory to the axisymmetric, stationary vacuum Einstein equations. In contrast to the Newtonian solution, there exists an upper limit for the total mass of the disk - if the angular momentum is…
In this paper, we consider the timelike and null geodesics around the static [GMGHS (Gibbons, Maeda, Garfinkle, Horowitz and Strominger), magnetically charged GMGHS, electrically charged GMGHS] and the rotating (Kerr-Sen dilaton-axion) dilaton black holes. The geodesic equations are solved in terms of Weierstrass elliptic functions. To classify the trajectories around the black holes, we use the analytical solution and effective potential techniques and then characterize the different types of the resulting orbits in terms of the conserved energy and angular momentum. Also, using the obtained …
We find new solutions to the Einstein-Maxwell equations in the presence of mimetic field in $ D $ dimensions, all of which are asymptotically Antide Sitter. We derive the solutions in five-dimensional spacetime, in detail. By extending the calculations to six and seven dimensions, we obtain a general form for solutions in dimensions larger than four. The results describe electrically charged static and rotating solutions, which have spherical, toroidal or cylindrical horizons. The solutions, depending on their global identifications, can be regarded as black holes, or black strings/branes. Som…
Within the framework of Einstein-Maxwell theory geometric properties of charged rotating discs of dust, using a post-Newtonian expansion up to tenth order, are discussed. Investigating the disc's proper radius and the proper circumference allows us to address questions related to the Ehrenfest paradox. In the Newtonian limit there is an agreement with a rotating disc from special relativity. The charged rotating disc of dust also possesses material-like properties. A fundamental geometric property of the disc is its Gaussian curvature. The result obtained for the charged rotating disc of dust …
We construct regular rotating black hole and no-horizon spacetimes based on the recently introduced spherically symmetric generic regular black hole spacetimes related to electric or magnetic charge under nonlinear electrodynamics coupled to general relativity that for special values of the spacetime parameters reduce to the Bardeen and Hayward spacetimes. We show that the weak and strong energy conditions are violated inside the Cauchy horizons of these generic rotating black holes. We give the boundary between the rotating black hole and no-horizon spacetimes and determine the black hole hor…
We study charged-fluid toroidal structures surrounding a non-rotating charged black hole immersed in a large-scale, asymptotically uniform magnetic field. In continuation of our former study on electrically charged matter in approximation of zero conductivity, we demonstrate existence of orbiting structures in permanent rigid rotation in the equatorial plane, and charged clouds hovering near the symmetry axis. We constrain the range of parameters that allow stable configurations and derive the geometrical shape of equi-pressure surfaces. Our simplified analytical study suggests that these regi…
In this paper, we construct new solutions describing rotating black rings on Taub-NUT using the inverse-scattering method. These are five-dimensional vacuum space-times, generalising the Emparan-Reall and extremal Pomeransky-Sen'kov black rings to a Taub-NUT background space. When reduced to four dimensions in Kaluza-Klein theory, these solutions describe (possibly rotating) electrically charged black holes in superposition with a finitely separated magnetic monopole. Various properties of these solutions are studied, from both a five- and four-dimensional perspective.
A 4-parametric exact solution describing a two-body system of identical Kerr-Newman counter-rotating black holes endowed with opposite electric/magnetic charges is presented. The axis conditions are solved in order to really describe two black holes separated by a massless strut. Moreover, the explicit form of the horizon half length parameter sigma in terms of physical Komar parameters, i.e., the Komar mass M, electric charge QE, angular momentum J, and a coordinate distance R is derived. Additionally, magnetic charges QB arise from the rotation of electrically charged black holes. As a conse…
We study the supersymmetry of the charged rotating toroidal black hole solutions found by Lemos and Zanchin, and show that the only configurations that are supersymmetric are: (i) the non-rotating electrically charged naked singularities already studied by Caldarelli and Klemm, and (ii) an extreme rotating toroidal black hole with zero magnetic and electric charges. For this latter case, the extreme uncharged black hole, we calculate the Killing spinors and show that the configuration preserves the same supersymmetries as the background spacetime.
Using the Gauss-Bonnet theorem, we compute and examine the deflection angle of light rays by rotating regular black holes with a cosmological constant. By the help of optical geometries, we first deal with the Hayward black holes with cosmological contributions. Then, we reconsider the study of the Bardeen solutions. We inspect the cosmological constant effect on the deflection angle of light rays. Concretely, we find extra cosmological correction terms generalizing certain obtained findings. Using graphical analysis, we provide a comparative discussion with respect to the Kerr solutions. The …
The dynamics of spinning test bodies, moving in rotating black hole (Kerr, Bardeen-like and Hayward-like) spacetimes, are investigated. In Kerr spacetime, all the spherical, zoom-whirl and unbound orbits are considered numerically. Along spherical orbits and for high spin, an amplitude modulation is found in the harmonic evolution of the spin precessional angular velocity, caused by the spin-curvature coupling. Along the discussed zoom-whirl and unbound orbits, the test body approaches the center so much that it passes through the ergosphere. Near and inside the ergosphere, the variation of th…

We obtain an asymptotically AdS, non-extremal, electrically charged and rotating black hole solution of 4-dimensional U(1)^4 gauged supergravity with 2 non-zero and independent U(1) charges. The thermodynamical quantities are computed. We find BPS solutions that are nakedly singular. The solution is generalized to include a NUT parameter and dyonic gauge fields. The string frame metric has a rank-2 Killing-Stackel tensor and has completely integrable geodesic motion, and the massless Klein-Gordon equation separates for the Einstein frame metric.
Starting from the gravitational potential of a Newtonian spheroidal shell we discuss electrically charged rotating prolate spheroidal shells in the Maxwell theory. In particular we consider two confocal charged shells which rotate oppositely in such a way that there is no magnetic field outside the outer shell. In the Einstein theory we solve the Ernst equations in the region where the long prolate spheroids are almost cylindrical; in equatorial regions the exact Lewis "rotating cylindrical" solution is so derived by a limiting procedure from a spatially bound system. In the second part we ana…
We construct and study the electrically charged, rotating black hole solution in heterotic string theory compactified on a $(10-D)$ dimensional torus. This black hole is characterized by its mass, angular momentum, and a $(36-2D)$ dimensional electric charge vector. One of the novel features of this solution is that for $D >5$, its extremal limit saturates the Bogomol'nyi bound. This is in contrast with the $D=4$ case where the rotating black hole solution develops a naked singularity before the Bogomol'nyi bound is reached. The extremal black holes can be superposed, and by taking a periodic …
We study the shadows cast by the different types of rotating regular black holes viz. Ayón-Beato-García {(ABG)}, Hayward, and Bardeen. These black holes have in addition to the total mass ($M$) and rotation parameter ($a$), different parameters as electric charge ($Q$), deviation parameter ($g$), and magnetic charge ($g_{*}$), respectively. Interestingly, the size of the shadow is affected by these parameters in addition to the rotation parameter. We found that the radius of the shadow in each case decreases monotonically and the distortion parameter increases when the value of these parameter…
In this paper, we study the weak gravitational lensing in the spacetime of rotating regular black hole geometries such as Ayon-Beato-García (ABG), Bardeen, and Hayward black holes. We calculate the deflection angle of light using the Gauss-Bonnet theorem (GBT) and show that the deflection of light can be viewed as a partially topological effect in which the deflection angle can be calculated by considering a domain outside of the light ray applied to the black hole optical geometries. Then, we demonstrate also the deflection angle via the geodesics formalism for these black holes to verify our…
Rotating and/or charged black hole spacetimes possess a Cauchy horizon, beyond which Einstein's equations of General Relativity cease to be deterministic. This led to the formulation of the Strong Cosmic Censorship conjecture that such horizons become irregular under field perturbations. We consider linear field perturbations of rotating and electrically-charged (Kerr-Newman-de Sitter) black holes in a universe with a positive cosmological constant. By calculating the quasinormal modes for scalar and fermion fields, we provide evidence for the existence of weak solutions to Einstein's equation…
If a black hole has hair, how short can this hair be? A partial answer to this intriguing question was recently provided by the 'no-short hair' theorem which asserts that the external fields of a spherically-symmetric electrically neutral hairy black-hole configuration must extend beyond the null circular geodesic which characterizes the corresponding black-hole spacetime. One naturally wonders whether the no-short hair inequality $r_{\text{hair}}>r_{\text{null}}$ is a generic property of all electrically neutral hairy black-hole spacetimes? In this paper we provide evidence that the answer to…
Black hole solutions in higher dimensional Einstein and Einstein-Maxwell gravity have been discussed by Tangherlini as well as Myers and Perry a long time ago. These solutions are the generalizations of the familiar Schwarzschild, Reissner-Nordstrom and Kerr solutions of four-dimensional general relativity. However, higher dimensional generalization of the Kerr-Newman solution in four dimensions has not been found yet. As a first step in this direction I shall report on a new solution of the Einstein-Maxwell system of equations that describes an electrically charged and slowly rotating black h…
We show that the general framework proposed in arXiv:1410.0581 for the study of asymptotically flat vacuum black objects with $k+1$ equal magnitude angular momenta in $D\geq 5$ spacetime dimensions (with $0\leq k\leq \big[\frac{D-5}{2} \big]$) can be extended to the case of Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton (EMd) theory. This framework can describe black holes with spherical horizon topology, the simplest solutions corresponding to a class of electrically charged (dilatonic) Myers-Perry black holes. Balanced charged black objects with $ S^{n+1} \times S^{2k+1}$ horizon topology can also be studied (wit…
