We study the position-dependent power spectrum and the integrated bispectrum statistic for 2D cosmological fields on the sphere (integrated angular bispectrum). First, we derive a useful, $m$-independent, formula for the full-sky integrated angular bispectrum, based on the construction of azimuthally symmetric patches. We then implement a pipeline for integrated angular bispectrum estimation, including a mean-field correction to account for spurious isotropy-breaking effects in realistic conditions (e.g., inhomogenous noise, sky masking). Finally, we show examples of applications of this estimator to CMB analysis, both using simulations and actual Planck data. Such examples include $f_\mathrm{NL}$ estimation, analyses of non-Gaussianity from secondary anisotropies (ISW-lensing and ISW-tSZ-tSZ bispectra) and studies of non-Gaussian signatures from foreground contamination.
We investigate three-point statistics in weak lensing convergence, through the integrated bispectrum. This statistic involves measuring power spectra in patches, and is thus easy to measure, and avoids the complexity of estimating the very large number of possible bispectrum configurations. The integrated bispectrum principally probes the squeezed limit of the bispectrum. To be useful as a set of summary statistics, accurate theoretical predictions of the signal are required, and, assuming Gaussian sampling distributions, the covariance matrix. In this paper, we investigate through simulations…
We present the first halo model based description of the Cosmic Infrared Background (CIB) non-Gaussianity (NG) that is fully parametric. To this end, we introduce, for the first time, a diagrammatic method to compute high order polyspectra of the 3D galaxy density field. It allows an easy derivation and visualisation of the different terms of the polyspectrum. We apply this framework to the power spectrum and bispectrum, and we show how to project them on the celestial sphere in the purpose of the application to the CIB angular anisotropies. Furthermore, we show how to take into account the pa…
The redshift-space bispectrum (three point statistics) of galaxies depends on the expansion rate, the growth rate, and geometry of the Universe, and hence can be used to measure key cosmological parameters. In a homogeneous Universe the bispectrum is a function of five variables and unlike its two point statistics counterpart -- the power spectrum, which is a function of only two variables -- is difficult to analyse unless the information is somehow reduced. The most commonly considered reduction schemes rely on computing angular integrals over possible orientations of the bispectrum triangle,…
We calculate the Cosmic Microwave Background anisotropy bispectrum on large angular scales in the absence of primordial non-Gaussianities, assuming exact matter dominance and extending at second order the classic Sachs-Wolfe result δT/T=Φ/3. The calculation is done in Poisson gauge. Besides intrinsic contributions calculated at last scattering, one must consider integrated effects. These are associated to lensing, and to the time dependence of the potentials (Rees-Sciama) and of the vector and tensor components of the metric generated at second order. The bispectrum is explicitly computed in t…
Primordial magnetic fields lead to non-Gaussian signals in the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) even at the lowest order, as magnetic stresses, and the temperature anisotropy they induce, depend quadratically on the magnetic field. In contrast, CMB non-Gaussianity due to inflationary scalar perturbations arise only as a higher order effect. We propose here a novel probe of stochastic primordial magnetic fields that exploits the characteristic CMB non-Gaussianity that they induce. In particular, we compute the CMB bispectrum ($b_{l_{_1}l_{_2}l_{_3}}$) induced by stochastic primordial fields on…
We evaluate the angular bispectrum of the CMB temperature anisotropy at large angular scale due to a stochastic background of primordial magnetic fields. The shape of non-Gaussianity depends on the spectral index of the magnetic field power spectrum and is peaked in the squeezed configuration for a scale-invariant magnetic spectrum. By using the large angular part of the bispectrum generated by magnetic fields, the present bounds on non-Gaussianity set a limit on the amplitude of the primordial magnetic field of the order of 10 nGauss for the scale-invariant case and 20 nGauss for the other sp…

We compute the redshift-dependent angular bispectrum of galaxy number counts at tree-level, including nonlinear clustering bias and estimating numerically for the first time the effect of redshift space distortions (RSD). We show that for narrow redshift bins the amplitude of nonlinear RSD is comparable with the matter density perturbations. While our numerical results only include terms relevant on sub-horizon scales, the formalism can readily be extended to the full tree-level bispectrum. Our approach does not rely on the flat-sky approximation and it can be easily generalized to different s…
Gravity-induced non-Gaussianity can provide important clues to Modified Gravity (MG) Theories. Several recent studies have suggested using the {\it Integrated Bispectrum} (IB) as a probe for squeezed configuration of bispectrum. Extending previous studies on the IB, we include redshift-space distortions to study a class of (parametrised) MG theories that include the string-inspired Dvali, Gabadadze \& Porrati (DGP) model. Various contributions from redshift-space distortions are derived in a transparent manner, and squeezed contributions from these terms are derived separately. Results are obt…
The position-dependent power spectrum has been recently proposed as a descriptor of gravitationally induced non-Gaussianity in galaxy clustering, as it is sensitive to the "soft limit" of the bispectrum (i.e. when one of the wave number tends to zero). We generalise this concept to higher order and clarify their relationship to other known statistics such as the skew-spectrum, the kurt-spectra and their real-space counterparts the cumulants correlators. Using the {\em Hierarchical Ansatz} (HA) as a toy model for the higher order correlation hierarchy, we show how in the soft limit, polyspectra…
Angular statistics of cosmological observables are hard to compute. The main difficulty is due to the presence of highly-oscillatory Bessel functions which need to be integrated over. In this paper, we provide a simple and fast method to compute the angular power spectrum and bispectrum of any observable. The method is based on using an FFTlog algorithm to decompose the momentum-space statistics onto a basis of power-law functions. For each power law, the integrals over Bessel functions have a simple analytical solution. This allows us to efficiently evaluate these integrals, independently of …
We compute the tree-level bispectrum of 21cm intensity mapping after reionisation. We work in the directly observable angular and redshift space, focusing on equal-redshift correlations and thin redshift bins, for which the lensing contribution is negligible. We demonstrate the importance of the contributions from redshift-space distortions which typically dominate the result. Taking into account the effects of telescope beams and foreground cleaning, we estimate the signal to noise and show that the bispectrum is detectable by both SKA in single-dish mode and HIRAX in interferometer mode, esp…
We present a measurement of the angular bispectrum of the millimeter-wave sky in observing bands centered at roughly 95, 150, and 220 GHz, on angular scales of $1^\prime \lesssim θ\lesssim 10^\prime$ (multipole number $1000 \lesssim l \lesssim 10000$). At these frequencies and angular scales, the main contributions to the bispectrum are expected to be the thermal Sunyaev-Zel'dovich (tSZ) effect and emission from extragalactic sources, predominantly dusty, star-forming galaxies (DSFGs) and active galactic nuclei. We measure the bispectrum in 800 $\mathrm{deg}^2$ of three-band South Pole Telesco…
Primordial magnetic fields lead to non-Gaussian signals in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) even at the lowest order, as magnetic stresses and the temperature anisotropy they induce depend quadratically on the magnetic field. In contrast, CMB non-Gaussianity due to inflationary scalar perturbations arises only as a higher order effect. Apart from a compensated scalar mode, stochastic primordial magnetic fields also produce scalar anisotropic stress that remains uncompensated till neutrino decoupling. This gives rise to an adiabatic-like scalar perturbation mode that evolves passively ther…
We derive a formula for the halo/galaxy bispectrum on the basis of the integrated Perturbation Theory (iPT). In addition to the gravity-induced non-Gaussianity, we consider the non-Gaussianity of the primordial curvature perturbations, and investigate in detail the effect of such primordial non-Gaussianity on the large-scale halo/galaxy bispectrum. In iPT, the effects of primordial non-Gaussianity are wholly encapsulated in the linear (primordial) polyspectra, and we systematically calculate the contributions to the large-scale behaviors arising from the three types of primordial bispectrum (l…
Angular bispectrum and trispectrum of scalar-induced gravitational waves: all contributions from primordial non-Gaussianity $f_\mathrm{NL}$ and $g_\mathrm{NL}$
In this paper, we investigate the effects of helical primordial magnetic fields (PMFs) on the cosmic microwave background (CMB) reduced bispectrum. We derive the full three-point statistics of helical magnetic fields and numerically calculate the even contribution in the collinear configuration. We then numerically compute the CMB reduced bispectrum induced by passive and compensated PMF modes on large angular scales. There is a negative signal on the bispectrum due to the helical terms of the fields and we also observe that the biggest contribution to the bispectrum comes from the non-zero IR…
We use a recently introduced statistic called {\em Integrated Bispectrum} (IB) to probe the gravity-induced non-Gaussianity at the level of the bispectrum from weak lensing convergence or $κ$ maps. We generalize the concept of the IB to spherical coordinates. This result is next connected to the response function approach. Finally, we use the Euclid Flagship simulations to compute the IB as a function of redshift and wave number. We also outline how the IB can be computed using a variety of analytical approaches including the ones based on Effective Field Theory (EFT), {\em Halo models} and mo…
Upcoming cosmic microwave background (CMB) data can be used to explore harmonic 3-point functions that involve the B-mode component of the CMB polarization signal. We focus on bispectra describing the non-Gaussian correlation of the B-mode field and the CMB temperature anisotropies (T) and/or E-mode polarization, i.e. <TTB>, <EEB>, and <TEB>. Such bispectra probe violations of the tensor consistency relation: the model-independent behavior of cosmological correlation functions that involve a large-wavelength tensor mode (gravitational wave). An observed violation of the tensor consistency rela…
This study, using publicly available simulations, focuses on the characterisation of the non-Gaussianity produced by radio point sources and by infrared (IR) sources in the frequency range of the cosmic microwave background from 30 to 350 GHz. We propose a simple prescription to infer the angular bispectrum from the power spectrum of point sources considering independent populations of sources, with or without clustering. We test the accuracy of our prediction using publicly available all-sky simulations of radio and IR sources and find very good agreement. We further characterise the configur…

Large surveys for Lyman-alpha emitting (LAE) galaxies have been proposed as a new method for measuring clustering of the galaxy population at high redshift with the goal of determining cosmological parameters. However, Lyman-alpha radiative transfer effects may modify the observed clustering of LAE galaxies in a way that mimics gravitational effects, potentially reducing the precision of cosmological constraints. For example, the effect of the linear redshift-space distortion on the power spectrum of LAE galaxies is potentially degenerate with Lyman-alpha radiative transfer effects owing to th…
We re-examine a genuine power of weak lensing bispectrum tomography for constraining cosmological parameters, when combined with the power spectrum tomography, based on the Fisher information matrix formalism. To account for the full information at two- and three-point levels, we include all the power spectrum and bispectrum information built from all-available combinations of tomographic redshift bins, multipole bins and different triangle configurations over a range of angular scales (up to lmax=2000 as our fiducial choice). For the parameter forecast, we use the halo model approach in Kayo,…
We present a detailed implementation of two bispectrum estimation methods which can be applied to general non-separable primordial and CMB bispectra. The method exploits bispectrum mode decompositions on the domain of allowed wavenumber or multipole values. Concrete mode examples constructed from symmetrised tetrahedral polynomials are given, demonstrating rapid convergence for known bispectra. We use these modes to generate simulated CMB maps of high resolution (l > 2000) given an arbitrary primordial power spectrum and bispectrum or an arbitrary late-time CMB angular power spectrum and bispe…
A measurement of primordial non-gaussianity will be of paramount importance to distinguish between different models of inflation. Cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropy observations have set unprecedented bounds on the non-gaussianity parameter f_NL but the interesting regime f_NL <~ 1 is beyond their reach. Brightness-temperature fluctuations in the 21-cm line during the dark ages (z ~ 30-100) are a promising successor to CMB studies, giving access to a much larger number of modes. They are, however, intrinsically non-linear, which results in secondary non-gaussianities orders of magnit…
The Sunyaev-Zel'dovich (SZ) effects are produced by the interaction of cosmic microwave background (CMB) photons with the ionized and diffuse gas of electrons inside galaxy clusters integrated along the line of sight. The two main effects are the thermal SZ (tSZ) produced by thermal pressure inside galaxy clusters and the kinetic SZ (kSZ) produce by peculiar motion of galaxy clusters compared to CMB rest-frame. The kSZ effect is particularly challenging to measure as it follows the same spectral behavior as the CMB, and consequently can not be separated from the CMB using spectral consideratio…
We use a separable mode expansion estimator with WMAP data to estimate the bispectrum for all the primary families of non-Gaussian models. We review the late-time mode expansion estimator methodology which can be applied to any non-separable primordial and CMB bispectrum model, and we demonstrate how the method can be used to reconstruct the CMB bispectrum from an observational map. We extend the previous validation of the general estimator using local map simulations. We apply the estimator to the coadded WMAP 5-year data, reconstructing the WMAP bispectrum using $l<500$ multipoles and $n=31$…
We explicitly test the equal-time consistency relation between the angular-averaged bispectrum and the power spectrum of the matter density field, employing a large suite of cosmological $N$-body simulations. This is the lowest-order version of the relations between $(\ell+n)$-point and $n$-point polyspectra, where one averages over the angles of $\ell$ soft modes. This relation depends on two wave numbers, $k'$ in the soft domain and $k$ in the hard domain. We show that it holds up to a good accuracy, when $k'/k\ll 1$ and $k'$ is in the linear regime, while the hard mode $k$ goes from linear …
In this paper we present the tools to optimally extract the Lensing-Integrated Sachs Wolfe (L-ISW) bispectrum signal from future CMB data. We implement two different methods to simulate the non-Gaussian CMB maps with the L-ISW signal: a non-perturbative method based on the FLINTS lensing code and the separable mode expansion method. We implement the Komatsu, Spergel and Wandelt (KSW) optimal estimator analysis for the Lensing-ISW bispectrum and we test it on the non-Gaussian simulations in the case of a realistic CMB experimental settings with an inhomogeneous sky coverage. We show that the es…
Given the important role that the galaxy bispectrum has recently acquired in cosmology and the scale and precision of forthcoming galaxy clustering observations, it is timely to derive the full expression of the large-scale bispectrum going beyond approximated treatments which neglect integrated terms or higher-order bias terms or use the Limber approximation. On cosmological scales, relativistic effects that arise from observing on the past light-cone alter the observed galaxy number counts, therefore leaving their imprints on N-point correlators at all orders. In this paper we compute for th…
Using the full radiation transfer function, we numerically calculate the CMB angular bispectrum seeded by the compensated magnetic scalar density mode. We find that, for the string inspired primordial magnetic fields characterized by index $n_B=-2.9$ and mean-field amplitude $B_{\lam}=9{\rm nG}$, the angular bispectrum is dominated by two primordial magnetic shapes. The first magnetic shape looks similar to the one from local-type primordial curvature perturbations, so both the amplitude and profile of the Komatsu-Spergel estimator (reduced bispectrum) seeded by this shape are almost the same …
We study the effects of gravitational lensing on the estimation of non-Gaussianity from the bispectrum of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) temperature anisotropies. We find that the effect of lensing on the bispectrum may qualitatively be described as a smoothing of the acoustic features analogous to the temperature power spectrum. In contrast to previous results, for a Planck-like experiment which is cosmic-variance limited to L=2000, we find that lensing causes no significant degradation of our ability to constrain the non-Gaussianity amplitude fNL for both local and equilateral configu…
We present a detailed calculation of our previous short paper [M. Shiraishi, D. Nitta, S. Yokoyama, K. Ichiki, and K. Takahashi, Phys. Rev. D 82, 121302 (2010).] in which we have investigated a constraint on the magnetic field strength through comic microwave background temperature bispectrum of vector modes induced from primordial magnetic fields. By taking into account full angular dependence of the bispectrum with spin spherical harmonics and Wigner symbols, we explicitly show that the cosmic microwave background bispectrum induced from the statistical-isotropic primordial vector fluctuatio…
To investigate and specify the statistical properties of cosmological fields with particular attention to possible non-Gaussian features, accurate formulae for the bispectrum and the bispectrum covariance are required. The bispectrum is the lowest-order statistic providing an estimate for non-Gaussianities of a distribution, and the bispectrum covariance depicts the errors of the bispectrum measurement and their correlation on different scales. Currently, there do exist fitting formulae for the bispectrum and an analytical expression for the bispectrum covariance, but the former is not very ac…
[Abridged] This PhD thesis was defended in September 2013 at Université Paris-Sud, France. It studies the non-Gaussianity (NG) of extragalactic foregrounds to the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). This is particularly important for the analysis of CMB data from the Planck satellite, in which I was involved. I studied in particular the extragalactic foregrounds tracing the Large Scale Structure (LSS) of the universe : radio and infrared point-sources and the thermal Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect (tSZ). The motivations and summary of this thesis cannot be shortened into the length constraints of th…

We calculate the cosmic microwave background bispectrum of vector modes induced from primordial magnetic fields. We take into account the full angular dependence of the bispectrum and discuss the amplitude and also the shape of the bispectrum in $\ell$ space. In the squeezed limit as $\ell_1 = \ell_2 \gg \ell_3$, we estimate a typical values of the normalized reduced bispectrum as $\ell_1(\ell_1 + 1)\ell_3(\ell_3+1)|b_{\ell_1\ell_2\ell_3}| \sim 2 \times 10^{-19}$, for the strength of the primordial magnetic field smoothed on $1 {\rm Mpc}$ scale $B_{1 \rm Mpc} = 4.7 \rm nG$ assuming a nearly sc…
We present the integrated 3-point shear correlation function $iζ_{\pm}$ -- a higher-order statistic of the cosmic shear field -- which can be directly estimated in wide-area weak lensing surveys without measuring the full 3-point shear correlation function, making this a practical and complementary tool to 2-point statistics for weak lensing cosmology. We define it as the 1-point aperture mass statistic $M_{\mathrm{ap}}$ measured at different locations on the shear field correlated with the corresponding local 2-point shear correlation function $ξ_{\pm}$. Building upon existing work on the int…
We develop a new, efficient code for solving the second-order Einstein-Boltzmann equations, and use it to estimate the intrinsic CMB non-Gaussianity arising from the non-linear evolution of density perturbations. The full calculation involves contributions from recombination and less tractable contributions from terms integrated along the line of sight. We investigate the bias that this intrinsic bispectrum implies for searches of primordial non-Gaussianity. We find that the inclusion or omission of certain line of sight terms can make a large impact. When including all physical effects but le…
At high angular frequencies the thermal Sunyaev-Zel'dovich (tSZ) effect constitutes the dominant signal in the CMB sky. The tSZ effect is caused by large scale pressure fluctuations in the baryonic distribution in the Universe so its statistical properties provide estimates of corresponding properties of the projected 3D pressure fluctuations. It's power spectrum is a sensitive probe of the density fluctuations, and the bispectrum can be used to separate the bias associated with pressure. The bispectrum is often probed with a one-point real-space analogue, the skewness. In addition to the skew…
We compute analytically the dominant contribution to the tree-level bispectrum in the Starobinsky model of inflation. In this model, the potential is vacuum energy dominated but contains a subdominant linear term which changes the slope abruptly at a point. We show that on large scales compared with the transition scale $k_0$ and in the equilateral limit the analogue of the non-linearity parameter scales as $(k/k_0)^2$, that is its amplitude decays for larger and larger scales until it becomes subdominant with respect to the usual slow-roll suppressed corrections. On small scales we show that …
In this paper, we explore a detectable imprint of massive fields with integer spins $s \geq 2$, which may be predicted from string theory. It was shown that such a massive non-zero spin field can generate the squeezed primordial bispectrum which depends on the angle between the two wavenumbers. We show that considering the contribution from the massive spin-2 field, the angular dependent primordial non-Gaussianity (PNG) yields a strong scale dependence in the bias parameter for the galaxy alignment, which becomes prominent at small scales. As another example of an angular dependent PNG, we als…
We present an all-sky formalism for the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) bispectrum induced by the primordial non-Gaussianities not only in scalar but also in vector and tensor fluctuations. We find that the bispectrum can be formed in an explicitly rationally invariant way by taking into account the angular and polarization dependences of the vector and tensor modes. To demonstrate this and present how to use our formalism, we consider a specific example of the correlation between two scalars and a graviton as the source of non-Gaussianity. As a result, we show that the CMB reduced bispectru…
We describe a fast, optimal estimator for measuring angular bispectra between two correlated weakly non-Gaussian fields ($Y$ and $Z$) from observational datasets, based on a separable modal bispectrum expansion. Our methodology is applicable to (1) any shape of the input theoretical bispectrum templates (factorizable or not), (2) both even and odd $\ell_1 + \ell_2 + \ell_3$ multipole domains and (3) both amplitude ($f_{\rm NL})$ bispectrum estimation and full bispectrum reconstruction, considering either joint estimation of ($YYY$, $ZZZ$, $YYZ$ and $ZZY$) shapes, or independent estimation of a…
We have made a Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) analysis of primordial non-Gaussianity (f_NL) using the WMAP bispectrum and power spectrum. In our analysis, we have simultaneously constrained f_NL and cosmological parameters so that the uncertainties of cosmological parameters can properly propagate to the f_NL estimation. Investigating the parameter likelihoods deduced from MCMC samples, we find slight deviation from Gaussian shape, which makes a Fisher matrix estimation less accurate. Therefore, we have estimated the confidence interval of f_NL by exploring the parameter likelihood without us…
The Integrated Sachs-Wolfe (ISW) effect produces a secondary temperature anisotropy of CMB. The main contribution comes from z<2, where dark energy leads to a decay of potentials. As the same photons are gravitationally lensed by these decaying potentials, there exists a high degree of correlation between the ISW effect and CMB lensing, leading to a non-zero three-point correlation (bispectrum) of the observed temperature anisotropy. This ISW-lensing bispectrum, whose shape resembles that of the so-called "local-form" primordial bispectrum parametrized by fNL, is known to be the largest contam…
I review what bispectra and trispectra look like in real space, in terms of the sign of particular shaped triangles and tetrahedrons. Having an equilateral density bispectrum of positive sign corresponds to having concentrated overdensities surrounded by larger weaker underdensities. In 3D these are concentrated density filaments, as expected in large-scale structure. As the shape changes from equilateral to flattened the concentrated overdensities flatten into lines (3D planes). I then focus on squeezed bispectra, which can be thought of as correlations of changes in small-scale power with la…
The small-scale CMB temperature we observe on the sky is modulated by perturbations that were super-horizon at recombination, giving differential focussing and lensing that generate a non-zero bispectrum even for single-field inflation where local physics is identical. Understanding this signal is important for primordial non-Gaussianity studies and also parameter constraints from the CMB lensing bispectrum signal. Because of cancellations individual effects can appear larger or smaller than they are in total, so a full analysis may be required to avoid biases. I relate angular scales on the s…
We measure the skewness power spectrum of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) anisotropies optimized for a detection of the secondary bispectrum generated by the correlation of the CMB lensing potential with integrated Sachs-Wolfe effect and the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect. The covariance of our measurements is generated by Monte-Carlo simulations of Gaussian CMB fields with noise properties consistent with Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) 5-year data. When interpreting multi-frequency measurements we also take into account the confusion resulting from unresolved radio point sources…
Forthcoming datasets from the Planck experiment and others are in a position to probe the CMB non-Gaussianity with higher accuracy than has yet been possible and potentially open a new window into the physics of the very early universe. However, a signal need not necessarily be inflationary in origin, and possible contaminants should be examined in detail. One such is provided by early universe magnetic fields, which can be produced by a variety of models including during an inflationary phase, at phase transitions, or seeded by cosmic defects. Should such fields have been extent in the early …
Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) Anisotropies is a subject of intensive research in several fields of sciences. In this paper we start a systematic development of basic notions and theory in statistics according to the application for CMB. The main result of this paper is the necessary and sufficient condition for isotropy of a non-Gaussian field in terms of spectra. Clear formulae for bi-, tri- and polyspectra and bi-, tri-, and higher order covariances are also given. Keywords: Bispectrum, Trispectrum, Angular poly-Spectra, Cosmic microwave background radiation; Gaussianity; spherical rando…
We present a complete framework for numerical calculation of the power spectrum and bispectrum in canonical inflation with an arbitrary number of light or heavy fields. Our method includes all relevant effects at tree-level in the loop expansion, including (i) interference between growing and decaying modes near horizon exit; (ii) correlation and coupling between species near horizon exit and on superhorizon scales; (iii) contributions from mass terms; and (iv) all contributions from coupling to gravity. We track the evolution of each correlation function from the vacuum state through horizon …
If the seed magnetic fields exist in the early Universe, tensor components of their anisotropic stresses are not compensated prior to neutrino decoupling and the tensor metric perturbations generated from them survive passively. Consequently, due to the decay of these metric perturbations after recombination, the so-called integrated Sachs-Wolfe effect, the large-scale fluctuations of CMB radiation are significantly boosted. This kind of CMB anisotropy is called the "tensor passive mode." Because these fluctuations deviate largely from the Gaussian statistics due to the quadratic dependence on…
