In this study, we introduce indefinite sasakian statistical manifolds and lightlike hypersurfaces of an indefinite sasakian statistical manifold. Some relations among induced geometrical objects with respect to dual connections in a lightlike hypersurface of an indefinite sasakian manifold are obtained. Some examples related to these concepts are also presented. Finally, we prove that an invariant lightlike submanifold of indefinite sasakian statistical manifold is an indefinite sasakian statistical manifold.
In this paper, we initiate the study of lightlike hypersurfaces of an $(ε)$-almost paracontact metric manifold which are tangent to the structure vector field. In particular, we give definitions of invariant lightlike hypersurfaces and screen semi-invariant lightlike hypersurfaces, and give some examples. Integrability conditions for the distributions involved in the screen semi-invariant lightlike hypersurface are investigated when the ambient manifold is an $(ε)$-para Sasakian manifold.
In this paper, we introduce and study a new class of CR-lightlike submanifold of an indefinite nearly Sasakian manifold, called Quasi Generalized Cauchy-Riemann (QGCR) lightlike submanifold. We give some characterization theorems for the existence of QGCR-lightlike submanifolds and finally derive necessary and sufficient conditions for some distributions to be integrable.
The concept of quasi generalized CR-lightlike was first introduced by the authors in [18]. In this paper, we focus on ascreen and co-screen quasi generalized CR-lightlike submanifolds of indefinite nearly $μ$-Sasakian manifold. We prove an existence theorem for minimal ascreen quasi generalized CR-lightlike submanifolds admitting a metric connection. Classification theorems on nearly parallel and auto-parallel distributions on a co-screen quasi generalized CR-lightlike submanifold are also given. Several examples are also constructed, where necessary, to illustrate the main ideas.
We study lightlike submanifolds of indefinite statistical manifolds. Contrary to the classical theory of submanifolds of statistical manifolds, lightlike submanifolds of indefinite statistical manifolds need not to be statistical submanifold. Therefore we obtain some conditions for a lightlike submanifold of indefinite statistical manifolds to be a lightlike statistical submanifold. We derive the expression of statistical sectional curvature and finally obtain some conditions for the induced statistical Ricci tensor on a lightlike submanifold of indefinite statistical manifolds to be symmetric…
We introduce a new class of lightlike submanifolds, namely, Screen Transversal Cauchy Riemann (STCR)-lightlike submanifolds, of indefinite Kaehler manifolds. We show that this new class is an umbrella of screen transversal lightlike, screen transversal totally real lightlike and CR-lightlike submanifolds. We give a few examples of a STCR lightlike submanifold, investigate the integrability of various distributions, obtain a characterization of such lightlike submanifolds in a complex space form and find new conditions for the induced connection to be a metric connection. Moreover, we investiga…
This research article introduces the concept of lightlike submanifolds of an indefinite Kenmotsu statistical manifold. Various results on geometry of contact CR and SCR-lightlike submanifolds have been developed. Some characterization theorems on the integrability of distributions and on the geodesicity of these submanifolds have been obtained. Appropriate examples have been presented.
In the present paper, we introduce screen almost semi-invariant (SASI) lightlike submanifolds of indefinite Keahler manifolds. We obtain the neccesary and sufficient condition for the induced connection to be a metric connection on SASI-lightlike submanifolds and construct an example for this manifold. Also we find some conditions for integrability of distributions and investigate certain characterizations.
In a metric $g.f.f$-manifold we study lightlike hypersurfaces $M$ tangent to the characteristic vector fields, and owing to the presence of the $f$-structure, we determine some decompositions of $TM$ and of a chosen screen distribution obtaining two distributions invariant with respect to the structure. We discuss the existence of a $g.f.f$-structure on a lightlike hypersurface and, under suitable hypotheses, we obtain an indefinite $\mathcal{S}$-structure on the leaves of an integrable distribution. The existence of totally umbilical lightlike hypersurfaces of an indefinite $\mathcal{S}$-spac…
We introduce two classes of null hypersurfaces of an indefinite Sasakian manifold, $(\overline{M}, \overlineϕ,ζ, η)$, tangent to the characteristic vector field $ζ$, called; {\it contact screen conformal} and {\it contact screen umbilic} null hypersurfaces. These hypersurfaces come in to fill the existing gap in screen conformal and screen totally umbilic null hypersurfaces. We prove that such hypersurfaces are contained in indefinite Sasakian space forms of constant $\overlineϕ$-sectional curvature of $-3$.
We introduce higher order mean curvatures of screen almost conformal (SAC) half-lightlike submanifolds of indefinite contact manifolds, admitting a semi-symmetric non-metric connection, and use them to generalize some known results of [6]. Also, we derive a new set of integration formulae via the divergence of some special vector fields tangent to this submanifold. Several examples are also included to illustrate the main concepts.
In this paper we study the 3-dimensional $(\varepsilon) $-para Sasakian manifolds. We obtain an necessary and sufficient condition for an $(\varepsilon ) $-para Sasakian 3 -manifold to be an indefinite space form. We show that a Ricci-semi-symmetric $(\varepsilon) $-para Sasakian 3 -manifold is an indefinite space form. We investigate the necessary and sufficient condition for an $(\varepsilon) $-para Sasakian 3 -manifold to be locally $φ$-symmetric. It is proved that in an $ (\varepsilon) $-para Sasakian 3-manifold with $η$ -parallel Ricci tensor the scalar curvature is constant. It is also s…
First, we prove that indefinite Sasakian manifolds do not admit any screen conformal $r$-null submanifolds, tangent to the structure vector field. We, therefore, define a special class of null submanifolds, called; {\it contact screen conformal} $r$-null submanifold of indefinite Sasakian manifolds. Several characterization results, on the above class of null submanifolds, are proved. In particular, we prove that such null submanifolds exist in indefinite Sasakian space forms of constant holomorphic sectional curvatures of $-3$.
It is well known that if the dimension of the Sasaki cone is greater than one, then all Sasakian structures are either positive or indefinite. We discuss the phenomenon of type changing within a fixed Sasaki cone. Assuming henceforth that the dimension of the Sasaki cone is greater than one, there are three possibilities, either all elements are positive, all are indefinite, or both positive and indefinite Sasakian structures occur. We illustrate by examples how the type can change as we move in the Sasaki cone. If there exists a Sasakian structure in the cone whose total transverse scalar cur…
In this paper we introduce radical transversal lightlike hypersurfaces of almost complex manifolds with Norden metric. The study of these hypersurfaces is motivated by the fact that for indefinite almost Hermitian manifolds this class of lightlike hypersurfaces does not exist. We also establish that radical transversal lightlike hypersurfaces of almost complex manifolds with Norden metric have nice properties as a unique screen distribution and a symmetric Ricci tensor of the considered hypersurfaces of Kaehler manifolds with Norden metric. We obtain new results about lightlike hypersurfaces c…
In this paper we introduce the concept of $(\varepsilon)$-almost paracontact manifolds, and in particular, of $(\varepsilon)$-para Sasakian manifolds. Several examples are presented. Some typical identities for curvature tensor and Ricci tensor of $(\varepsilon)$-para Sasakian manifolds are obtained. We prove that if a semi-Riemannian manifold is one of flat, proper recurrent or proper Ricci-recurrent, then it can not admit an $(\varepsilon)$-para Sasakian structure. We show that, for an $(\varepsilon)$-para Sasakian manifold, the conditions of being symmetric, semi-symmetric or of constant se…
Einstein like $(\varepsilon)$-para Sasakian manifolds are introduced. For an $(\varepsilon) $-para Sasakian manifold to be Einstein like, a necessary and sufficient condition in terms of its curvature tensor is obtained. The scalar curvature of an Einstein like $(\varepsilon) $-para Sasakian manifold is obtained and it is shown that the scalar curvature in this case must satisfy certain differential equation. A necessary and sufficient condition for an $(\varepsilon) $-almost paracontact metric hypersurface of an indefinite locally Riemannian product manifold to be $(\varepsilon) $-para Sasaki…
We give an overview of some recent results in hypersymplectic and para-quaternionic Kahler geometry, and introduce the notion of split three-Sasakian manifold. In particular, we discuss the twistor spaces and Swann bundles of para-quaternionic Kahler manifolds. These are used to classify examples with a fully homogeneous action of a semi-simple Lie group, and to construct distinct para-quaternionic Kahler metrics from indefinite real analytic conformal manifolds. We also indicate how the theory of toric varieties gives rise to constructions of hypersymplectic manifolds.
