In this paper we study the convergence of solutions for (possibly degenerate) stochastic differential equations driven by Lévy processes, when the coefficients converge in some appropriate sense. First, we prove, by means of a superposition principle, a limit theorem of stochastic differential equations driven by Lévy processes. Then we apply the result to a type of nonlinear filtering problems and obtain the convergence of the nonlinear filterings.
The theory of backward SDEs extends the predictable representation property of Brownian motion to the nonlinear framework, thus providing a path-dependent analog of fully nonlinear parabolic PDEs. In this paper, we consider backward SDEs, their reflected version, and their second-order extension, in the context where the final data and the generator satisfy $L^1$-type of integrability condition. Our main objective is to provide the corresponding existence and uniqueness results for general Lipschitz generators. The uniqueness holds in the so-called Doob class of processes, simultaneously under…
One proves the uniqueness of distributional solutions to nonlinear Fokker--Planck equations with monotone diffusion term and derive as a consequence (restricted) uniqueness in law for the corresponding McKean--Vlasov stochastic differential equation (SDE).
This paper is intended to give a probabilistic representation for stochastic viscosity solution of semi-linear reflected stochastic partial differential equations with nonlinear Neumann boundary condition. We use it connection with reflected generalized backward doubly stochastic differential equation.

In this paper, we prove that the weak error between a stochastic differential equation with nonlinearity in the sense of McKean given by moments and its approximation by the Euler discretization with time-step h of a system of N interacting particles is O(1/N + h). We provide numerical experiments confirming this behaviour and showing that it extends to more general mean-field interaction and study the efficiency of the antithetic sampling technique on the same examples.
The path independence of additive functionals for SDEs driven by the G-Brownian motion is characterized by nonlinear PDEs. The main result generalizes the existing ones for SDEs driven by the standard Brownian motion.
In this note, we consider Jensen's inequality for the nonlinear expectation associated with backward SDEs driven by $G$-Brownian motion ($G$-BSDEs for short). At first, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for $G$-BSDEs under which one-dimensional Jensen inequality holds. Second, we prove that for $n>1$, the $n$-dimensional Jensen inequality holds for any nonlinear expectation if and only if the nonlinear expectation is linear, which is essentially due to Jia (Arch. Math. 94 (2010), 489-499). As a consequence, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for $G$-BSDEs under which the $…
We develop a new approach to study the long time behaviour of solutions to nonlinear stochastic differential equations in the sense of McKean, as well as propagation of chaos for the corresponding mean-field particle system approximations. Our approach is based on a sticky coupling between two solutions to the equation. We show that the distance process between the two copies is dominated by a solution to a one-dimensional nonlinear stochastic differential equation with a sticky boundary at zero. This new class of equations is then analyzed carefully. In particular, we show that the dominating…
In this paper we study general nonlinear stochastic differential equations, where the usual Brownian motion is replaced by a Lévy process. We also suppose that the coefficient multiplying the increments of this process is merely Lipschitz continuous and not necessarily linear in the time-marginals of the solution as is the case in the classical McKean-Vlasov model. We first study existence, uniqueness and particle approximations for these stochastic differential equations. When the driving process is a pure jump Lévy process with a smooth but unbounded Lévy measure, we develop a stochastic cal…
In this paper, an integration by parts formula was derived for jump processes on Hilbert spaces. Using this formula, we investigated derivative formula and exponential ergodicity for nonlinear SPDEs driven by purely jump processes.
This paper is devoted to studying the properties of the exit times of stochastic differential equations driven by $G$-Brownian motion ($G$-SDEs). In particular, we prove that the exit times of $G$-SDEs has the quasi-continuity property. As an application, we give a probabilistic representation for a large class of fully nonlinear elliptic equations with Dirichlet boundary.
In this paper we prove an approximation result for the viscosity solution of a system of semi-linear partial differential equations with continuous coefficients and nonlinear Neumann boundary condition. The approximation we use is based on a penalization method and our approach is probabilistic. We prove the weak uniqueness of the solution for the reflected stochastic differential equation and we approximate it (in law) by a sequence of solutions of stochastic differential equations with penalized terms. Using then a suitable generalized backward stochastic differential equation and the unique…
A direct approach to linear backward filtering equations for SDE systems is proposed. This preprint is a corrected version of the paper 1995 in the LMS Lecture Notes combined with another paper by the author on the direct approach to linear SPDEs for SDEs.
The Harnack and log Harnack inequalities for stochastic differential equation driven by $G$-Brownian motion with multiplicative noise are derived by means of coupling by change of mesure. All of the above results extend the existing ones in the linear expectation setting. Moreover, the gradient estimate generalize the nonlinear results appeared in [11].
Various particle filters have been proposed over the last couple of decades with the common feature that the update step is governed by a type of control law. This feature makes them an attractive alternative to traditional sequential Monte Carlo which scales poorly with the state dimension due to weight degeneracy. This article proposes a unifying framework that allows to systematically derive the McKean-Vlasov representations of these filters for the discrete time and continuous time observation case, taking inspiration from the smooth approximation of the data considered in Crisan & Xiong (…
By investigating path-distribution dependent stochastic differential equations, the following type of nonlinear Fokker--Planck equations for probability measures $(μ_t)_{t \geq 0}$ on the path space $\mathcal C:=C([-r_0,0];\mathbb R^d),$ is analyzed: $$\partial_t μ(t)=L_{t,μ_t}^*μ_t,\ \ t\ge 0,$$ where $μ(t)$ is the image of $μ_t$ under the projection $\mathcal C\niξ\mapsto ξ(0)\in\mathbb R^d$, and $$L_{t,μ}(ξ):= \frac 1 2\sum_{i,j=1}^d a_{ij}(t,ξ,μ)\frac{\partial^2} {\partial_{ξ(0)_i} \partial_{ξ(0)_j}} +\sum_{i=1}^d b_i(t,ξ,μ)\frac{\partial}{\partial_{ξ(0)_i}},\ \ t\ge 0, ξ\in \mathcal C, μ\…
This work is concerned with the existence of mild solutions to non-linear Fokker-Planck equations with fractional Laplace operator $(-Δ)^s$ for $s\in\left(\frac12,1\right)$. The uniqueness of Schwartz distributional solutions is also proved under suitable assumptions on diffusion and drift terms. As applications, weak existence and uniqueness of solutions to McKean-Vlasov equations with Lévy-Noise, as well as the Markov property for their laws are proved.
In this paper, a class of reflected generalized backward doubly stochastic differential equations (reflected GBDSDEs in short) driven by Teugels martingales associated with Lévy process and the integral with respect to an adapted continuous increasing process is investigated. We obtain the existence and uniqueness of solutions to these equations. A probabilistic interpretation for solutions to a class of reflected stochastic partial differential integral equations (PDIEs in short) with a nonlinear Neumann boundary condition is given.
In this paper we show the existence and uniqueness for a class of density dependent SDEs with bounded measurable drift, where the existence part is based on Euler's approximation for density dependent SDEs and the uniqueness is based on the associated nonlinear Fokker-Planck equation. As an application, we obtain the well-posedness of a nonlinear Fokker-Planck equation.
To characterize the Neumann problem for nonlinear Fokker-Planck equations, we investigate distribution dependent reflecting SDEs (DDRSDEs) in a domain. We first prove the well-posedness and establish functional inequalities for reflecting SDEs with singular drifts, then extend these results to DDRSDEs with singular or monotone coefficients, for which a general criterion deducing the well-posedness of DDRSDEs from that of reflecting SDEs is established.
In this paper, we study reflected generalized backward doubly stochastic differential equations driven by Teugels martingales associated with Lévy process (RGBDSDELs, in short) with one continuous barrier. Under uniformly Lipschitz coefficients, we prove existence and uniqueness result by means of the penalization method and the fixed point theorem. As an application, this study allows us to give a probabilistic representation for the solutions to a class of reflected stochastic partial differential integral equations (SPDIEs, in short) with a nonlinear Neumann boundary condition.
Motivated by the work of Musiela and Zariphopoulou \cite{zar-03}, we study the Itô random fields which are utility functions $U(t,x)$ for any $(ω,t)$. The main tool is the marginal utility $U_x(t,x)$ and its inverse expressed as the opposite of the derivative of the Fenchel conjuguate $\tU(t,y)$. Under regularity assumptions, we associate a $SDE(μ, σ)$ and its adjoint SPDE$(μ, σ)$ in divergence form whose $U_x(t,x)$ and its inverse $-\tU_y(t,y)$ are monotonic solutions. More generally, special attention is paid to rigorous justification of the dynamics of inverse flow of SDE. So that, we are a…

Semilinear, $N-$dimensional stochastic differential equations (SDEs) driven by additive Lévy noise are investigated. Specifically, given $α\in\left(\frac{1}{2},1\right)$, the interest is on SDEs driven by $2α-$stable, rotation-invariant processes obtained by subordination of a Brownian motion. An original connection between the time-dependent Markov transition semigroup associated with their solutions and Kolmogorov backward equations in mild integral form is established via regularization-by-noise techniques. Such a link is the starting point for an iterative method which allows to approximat…
Dynamical systems driven by nonlinear delay SDEs with small noise can exhibit important rare events on long timescales. When there is no delay, classical large deviations theory quantifies rare events such as escapes from metastable fixed points. Near such fixed points, one can approximate nonlinear delay SDEs by linear delay SDEs. Here, we develop a fully explicit large deviations framework for (necessarily Gaussian) processes $X_t$ driven by linear delay SDEs with small diffusion coefficients. Our approach enables fast numerical computation of the action functional controlling rare events fo…
In this paper we first study the penalization approximation of stochastic differential equations reflected in a domain which satisfies conditions (A) and (B) and prove that the sequence of solutions of the penalizing equations converges in the uniform topology to the solution of the corresponding reflected stochastic differential equation. Then by using this convergence result, we consider partial differential equations with Neumann boundary conditions in domains neither smooth nor convex and prove the existence and comparison principle of viscosity solutions of such nonlinear PDEs. Also, by a…
This work is concerned with the existence and uniqueness of generalized (mild or distributional) solutions to (possibly degenerate) Fokker-Planck equations $ρ_t-Δβ(ρ)+{\rm div}(Db(ρ)ρ)=0$ in $(0,\infty)\times\mathbb{R}^d,$ $ρ(0,x) \equiv ρ_0(x)$. Under suitable assumptions on $β:\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R},\,b:\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}$ and $D:\mathbb{R}^d\to\mathbb{R}^d$, $d\ge1$, this equation generates a unique flow $ρ(t)=S(t)ρ_0:[0,\infty)\to L^1(\mathbb{R}^d)$ as a mild solution in the sense of nonlinear semigroup theory. This flow is also unique in the class of $L^\infty((0,T)\times\mathbb{R}^…
We establish Freidlin-Wentzell results for a nonlinear ordinary differential equation starting close to the stable state $0$, say, subject to a perturbation by a stochastic integral which is driven by an $\varepsilon$-small and $(1/\varepsilon)$-accelerated Lévy process with exponentially light jumps. For this purpose we derive a large deviations principle for the stochastically perturbed system using the weak convergence approach developed by Budhiraja, Dupuis, Maroulas and collaborators in recent years. In the sequel we solve the associated asymptotic first escape problem from the bounded ne…
By investigating McKean-Vlasov SDEs, the order preservation and positive correlation are characterized for nonlinear Fokker-Planck equations. The main results recover the corresponding criteria on these properties established in [3, 5] for diffusion processes or linear Fokker-Planck equations.
We solve the optimal control problem of a one-dimensional reflected stochastic differential equation, whose coefficients can be path dependent. The value function of this problem is characterized by a backward stochastic partial differential equation (BSPDE) with Neumann boundary conditions. We prove the existence and uniqueness of sufficiently regular solution for this BSPDE, which is then used to construct the optimal feedback control. In fact we prove a more general result: The existence and uniqueness of strong solution for the Neumann problem for general nonlinear BSPDEs, which might be o…
Optimizing over the stationary distribution of stochastic differential equations (SDEs) is computationally challenging. A new forward propagation algorithm has been recently proposed for the online optimization of SDEs. The algorithm solves an SDE, derived using forward differentiation, which provides a stochastic estimate for the gradient. The algorithm continuously updates the SDE model's parameters and the gradient estimate simultaneously. This paper studies the convergence of the forward propagation algorithm for nonlinear dissipative SDEs. We leverage the ergodicity of this class of nonli…
In many applications, it is important to be able to sample paths of SDEs conditional on observations of various kinds. This paper studies SPDEs which solve such sampling problems. The SPDE may be viewed as an infinite-dimensional analogue of the Langevin equation used in finite-dimensional sampling. In this paper, conditioned nonlinear SDEs, leading to nonlinear SPDEs for the sampling, are studied. In addition, a class of preconditioned SPDEs is studied, found by applying a Green's operator to the SPDE in such a way that the invariant measure remains unchanged; such infinite dimensional evolut…
We consider a nonlinear filtering problem of multiscale non-Gaussian signal processes and observation processes with jumps. Firstly, we prove that the dimension for the signal system can be reduced by a homogenized approach. Secondly, convergence of the corresponding nonlinear filtering to the homogenized filtering is shown by a weak convergence technique. Finally, we give an example to explain our result.

The paper deals with the numerical solution of the nonlinear Ito stochastic differential equations (SDEs) appearing in the unravelling of quantum master equations. We first develop an exponential scheme of weak order 1 for general globally Lipschitz SDEs governed by Brownian motions. Then, we proceed to study the numerical integration of a class of locally Lipschitz SDEs. More precisely, we adapt the exponential scheme obtained in the first part of the work to the characteristics of certain finite-dimensional nonlinear stochastic Schrodinger equations. This yields a numerical method for the si…

In this paper we consider a class of {\it conditional McKean-Vlasov SDEs} (CMVSDE for short). Such an SDE can be considered as an extended version of McKean-Vlasov SDEs with common noises, as well as the general version of the so-called {\it conditional mean-field SDEs} (CMFSDE) studied previously by the authors [1, 14], but with some fundamental differences. In particular, due to the lack of compactness of the iterated conditional laws, the existing arguments of Schauder's fixed point theorem do not seem to apply in this situation, and the heavy nonlinearity on the conditional laws caused by …
In the paper, we consider nonlinear filtering problems of multiscale systems in two cases-correlated sensor Lévy noises and correlated Lévy noises. First of all, we prove that the slow part of the origin system converges to the homogenized system in the uniform mean square sense. And then based on the convergence result, in the case of correlated sensor Lévy noises, the nonlinear filtering of the slow part is shown to approximate that of the homogenized system in $L^1$ sense. However, in the case of correlated Lévy noises, we prove that the nonlinear filtering of the slow part converges weakly…
In this paper we discuss fractional generalizations of the filtering problem. The "fractional" nature comes from time-changed state or observation processes, basic ingredients of the filtering problem. The mathematical feature of the fractional filtering problem emerges as the Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative in the associated Zakai equation. We discuss fractional generalizations of the filtering problem whose state and observation processes are driven by time-changed Brownian motion or/and Lévy process.
In the article, Zakai and Kushner-Stratonovich equations of the nonlinear filtering problem for a non-Gaussian signal-observation system are considered. Moreover, we prove that under some general assumption, the Zakai equation has pathwise uniqueness and uniqueness in joint law, and the Kushner-Stratonovich equation is unique in joint law.
