We prove that scalar-valued sparse domination of a multilinear operator implies vector-valued sparse domination for tuples of quasi-Banach function spaces, for which we introduce a multilinear analogue of the UMD condition. This condition is characterized by the boundedness of the multisublinear Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator and goes beyond examples in which a UMD condition is assumed on each individual space and includes e.g. iterated Lebesgue, Lorentz, and Orlicz spaces. Our method allows us to obtain sharp vector-valued weighted bounds directly from scalar-valued sparse domination, without the use of a Rubio de Francia type extrapolation result.
We apply our result to obtain new vector-valued bounds for multilinear Calderón-Zygmund operators as well as recover the old ones with a new sharp weighted bound. Moreover, in the Banach function space setting we improve upon recent vector-valued bounds for the bilinear Hilbert transform.
We prove a general sparse domination theorem in a space of homogeneous type, in which a vector-valued operator is controlled pointwise by a positive, local expression called a sparse operator. We use the structure of the operator to get sparse domination in which the usual $\ell^1$-sum in the sparse operator is replaced by an $\ell^r$-sum. This sparse domination theorem is applicable to various operators from both harmonic analysis and (S)PDE. Using our main theorem, we prove the $A_2$-theorem for vector-valued Calderón--Zygmund operators in a space of homogeneous type, from which we deduce an…
Convex body domination is an important elaboration of the technique of sparse domination that has seen significant development and applications over the past ten years. In this paper, we present an abstract framework for convex body domination, which also applies to Banach space -valued functions, and yields matrix-weighted norm inequalities in this setting. We explore applications to "generalised commutators", obtaining new examples of bounded operators among linear combinations of compositions of pointwise multipliers and a singular integral operator.
We introduce the so called convex body valued sparse operators, which generalize the notion of sparse operators to the case of spaces of vector valued functions. We prove that Calderón--Zygmund operators as well as Haar shifts and paraproducts can be dominated by such operators. By estimating sparse operators we obtain weighted estimates with matrix weights. We get two weight $A_2$-$A_\infty$ estimates, that in the one weight case give us the estimate $$ \|T\|_{L^2(W)\to L^2 (W)} \le C [W]_{A_2}^{1/2} [W]_{A_\infty} \le C[W]_{A_2}^{3/2} $$ where $T$ is either a Calderon--Zygmund operator (with…
We prove modulation invariant embedding bounds from Bochner spaces $L^p(\mathbb{W};X)$ on the Walsh group to outer-$L^p$ spaces on the Walsh extended phase plane. The Banach space $X$ is assumed to be UMD and sufficiently close to a Hilbert space in an interpolative sense. Our embedding bounds imply $L^p$ bounds and sparse domination for the Banach-valued tritile operator, a discrete model of the Banach-valued bilinear Hilbert transform.
Using exclusively the localized estimates upon which the helicoidal method was built, we show how sparse estimates can also be obtained. This approach yields a sparse domination for multiple vector-valued extensions of operators as well. We illustrate these ideas for an $n$-linear Fourier multiplier whose symbol is singular along a $k$-dimensional subspace of $Γ=\lbrace ξ_1+\ldots+ξ_{n+1}=0 \rbrace$, where $k<\dfrac{n+1}{2}$, and for the variational Carleson operator.
We prove that the operator norm of every Banach space valued Calderon-Zygmund operator T on the weighted Lebesgue-Bochner space depends linearly on the Muckenhoupt A_2 characteristic of the weight. In parallel with the proof of the real-valued case, the proof is based on pointwise dominating every Banach space valued Calderon-Zygmund operator by a series of positive dyadic shifts. In common with the real-valued case, the pointwise dyadic domination relies on Lerner's local oscillation decomposition formula, which we extend from real-valued functions to Banach space valued functions. The extens…
Given $1\leq q<p<\infty$ quantitative weighted L^p estimates, in terms of Aq weights, for vector valued maximal functions, Calderón-Zygmund operators, commutators and maximal rough singular integrals are obtained. The results for singular operators will rely upon suitable convex body domination results, which in the case of commutators will be provided in this work, obtaining as a byproduct a new proof for the scalar case as well.
Using the Calderón-Zygmund decomposition, we give a novel and simple proof that $L^2$ bounded dyadic shifts admit a domination by positive sparse forms with linear growth in the complexity of the shift. Our estimate, coupled with Hytönen's dyadic representation theorem, upgrades to a positive sparse domination of the class $\mathcal U$ of singular integrals satisfying the assumptions of the classical $T(1)$-theorem of David and Journé, with logarithmic-Dini type smoothness of the integral kernel. Furthermore, our proof extends rather easily to the $\mathbb R^n$-valued case, yielding as a corol…
We establish a uniform domination of the family of trilinear multiplier forms with singularity over a one-dimensional subspace by positive sparse forms involving $L^p$-averages. This class includes the adjoint forms to the bilinear Hilbert transforms. Our result strengthens the $L^p$-boundedness proved in \cite{MTT} and entails as a corollary a rich multilinear weighted theory. In particular, we obtain $L^{q_1}(v_1) \times L^{q_2}(v_2)$-boundedness of the bilinear Hilbert transform when the weights $v_j$ belong to the class $A_{\frac{q+1}{2}}\cap RH_2$. Our proof relies on a stopping time cons…
We prove a sparse bound for the $m$-sublinear form associated to vector-valued maximal functions of Fefferman-Stein type. As a consequence, we show that the sparse bounds of multisublinear operators are preserved via $\ell^r$-valued extension. This observation is in turn used to deduce vector-valued, multilinear weighted norm inequalities for multisublinear operators obeying sparse bounds, which are out of reach for the extrapolation theory recently developed by Cruz-Uribe and Martell. As an example, vector-valued multilinear weighted inequalities for bilinear Hilbert transforms are deduced fr…
This is an expository paper on the helicoidal method, a tool designed for proving multiple vector-valued inequalities for operators in harmonic analysis, which is based on stopping times and localizations. As it turns out, the local estimate can be used for proving sparse domination for the scalar operator and its multiple vector-valued extensions, and hence also weighted estimates.
We present a fundamentally new proof of the dimensionless Lp boundedness of the Bakry Riesz vector on manifolds with bounded geometry. Our proof has the significant advantage that it allows for a much stronger conclusion than previous arguments, namely that of some new dimensionless weighted estimates with optimal exponent. Part of the importance of this task lies in the novelty of the techniques: we develop the self similarity argument known as sparse domination in the setting of uniformly integrable cadlag Hilbert space valued martingales and extend the domination to a process with infinite …
We consider the dyadic paraproducts $π_\f$ on $\T$ associated with an $\M$-valued function $\f.$ Here $\T$ is the unit circle and $\M$ is a tracial von Neumann algebra. We prove that their boundedness on $L^p(\T,L^p(\M))$ for some $1<p<\infty $ implies their boundedness on $L^p(\T,L^p(\M))$ for all $1<p<\infty$ provided $\f$ is in an operator-valued BMO space. We also consider a modified version of dyadic paraproducts and their boundedness on $L^p(\T,L^p(\M)).
In this paper quantitative weighted matrix estimates for vector valued extensions of $L^{r'}$-Hörmander operators and rough singular integrals are studied. Strong type $(p,p)$ estimates, endpoint estimates, and some new results on Coifman-Fefferman estimates assuming $A_\infty$ and $C_p$ condition counterparts are provided. To prove the aforementioned estimates we rely upon some suitable convex body domination results that we settle as well in this paper.
We prove that the class of convolution-type kernels satisfying suitable decay conditions of the Fourier transform, appearing in the works of Christ, Christ-Rubio de Francia, and Duoandikoetxea-Rubio de Francia gives rise to maximally truncated singular integrals satisfying a sparse bound by $(1+\varepsilon,1+\varepsilon)$-averages for all $\varepsilon>0$, with linear growth in $\varepsilon^{-1}$. This is an extension of the sparse domination principle by Conde-Alonso, Culiuc, Ou and the first author to maximally truncated singular integrals. Our results cover the rough homogeneous singular int…
In this paper we introduce Calderón-Zygmund theory for singular stochastic integrals with operator-valued kernel. In particular, we prove $L^p$-extrapolation results under a Hörmander condition on the kernel. Sparse domination and sharp weighted bounds are obtained under a Dini condition on the kernel, leading to a stochastic version of the solution to the $A_2$-conjecture. The results are applied to obtain $p$-independence and weighted bounds for stochastic maximal $L^p$-regularity both in the complex and real interpolation scale. As a consequence we obtain several new regularity results for …
