Parametrized Post-Newtonian (PPN) equations of motion for several S-stars nearest to the Galactic Center compact relativistic object SgrA* are considered. The effect of the orbital periods difference between Newtonian and Post-Newtonian cases is taken into account. The best fit PN orbit of S2 has a period which is 16 days longer than Newtonian one. The PPN parameters $β_\text{PPN}$ and $γ_\text{PPN}$ are measured. Bayesian sampling is used to fit the trajectories of the PPN laws of motion. Posterior estimates of $β_\text{PPN}$ and $γ_\text{PPN}$ are $0.97^{+0.42}_{-0.65}$ and $0.81^{+0.46}_{-0.60}$ respectively. The result confirms General Relativity prediction for the Post-Newtonian equations of motion in the conditions of orbital motions in vicinity of the SgrA*.
The Galactic Center star cluster, known as S-stars, is a perfect source of relativistic phenomena observations. The stars are located in the strong field of relativistic compact object Sgr A* and are moving with very high velocities at pericenters of their orbits. In this work we consider motion of several S-stars by using the Parameterized Post-Newtonian (PPN) formalism of General Relativity (GR) and Post-Newtonian (PN) equations of motion of the Feynman's quantum-field gravity theory, where the positive energy density of the gravity field can be measured via the relativistic pericenter shift…
A review of modern VLTI observations of the orbital motion of closest stars to the relativistic compact object Sgr A* and its ability to test gravitation theories in the conditions of Post-Newtonian approximation. The observed orbital parameters, second order Doppler effect and gravitational redshift, measured for several S-stars, are compared with theoretical PN predictions.
We observe the S-cluster star S62 on its Keplerian orbit around the supermassive black hole in the center of our galaxy, SgrA*. The orbital time period of S62 around SgrA* is 9.9 years. We derive its mass to be around 2 M_solar which is consistent with other members of the S-cluster. From the Lucy-Richardson deconvolved images, we determine a K-band magnitude of 16.1 mag. We observe almost two complete orbits of the star with two different and independent telescopes and three different instruments. The close distance of S62 to SgrA* at its periapse of around 2 mas results in a gravitational pe…

Relativistic models of light propagation adopted for high-precision astrometry are based on the parametrised post-Newtonian formalism, which provides a framework for examining the effects of a hypothetical violation of general relativity on astrometric data. Astrometric observations are strongly affected by the post-Newtonian parameter $γ$ describing the strength of gravitational light deflection. We study both analytically and numerically how a deviation in the PPN parameter $γ$ from unity, which is the value predicted by general relativity, affects the parallax estimations in Gaia-like astro…
The ongoing monitoring of the Galactic center and Sgr A*, the central supermassive black hole, produces surprising and unexpected findings. This goes hand in hand with the technical evolution of ground- and space-based telescopes and instruments, but also with the progression of image filter techniques such as the Lucy Richardson algorithm. As we continue to trace the members of the S cluster close to Sgr A* on their expected trajectory around the supermassive black hole, we present the finding of a new stellar source, which we call S4716. The newly found star orbits SgrA* in about 4.0 yr and …
After the amazing discoveries by the GRAVITY collaboration in the last few years on the star S2 orbiting the black hole Sgr A* in the center of the Milky Way, we present a detailed investigation of the impact of gravitational lensing on the reconstruction of stellar orbits around this massive black hole. We evaluate the lensing astrometric effects on the stars S2, S38 and S55 and how these systematically affect the derived orbital parameters. The effect is below current uncertainties, but not negligible. With the addition of more observations on these stars, it will be possible to let the astr…
Sgr A East is the supernova remnant closest to the centre of the Milky Way. Its age has been estimated to be either very young, around 1-2 kyr, or about 10 kyr, and its exact origin remains unclear. We aspire to create a simple model of a supernova explosion that reproduces the shape, size, and location of Sgr A East. Using a simplified hydrodynamical code, we simulated the evolution of a supernova remnant in the medium around the Galactic centre. The latter consists of a nearby massive molecular cloud with which Sgr A East is known to be interacting and a wind from the nuclear star cluster. O…
Turbulence is a crucial factor in many models of planet formation, but it has only been directly constrained among a small number of planet forming disks. Building on the upper limits on turbulence placed in disks around HD 163296 and TW Hya, we present ALMA CO J=2-1 line observations at $\sim0.3"$ (20-50 au) resolution and 80 ms$^{-1}$ channel spacing of the disks around DM Tau, MWC 480, and V4046 Sgr. Using parametric models of disk structure, we robustly detect non-thermal gas motions around DM Tau of between 0.25 c$_s$ and 0.33 c$_s$, with the range dominated by systematic effects, making …
We present a study of diffuse extended ionised gas toward three clouds located in the Galactic Centre (GC). One line of sight (LOS) is toward the 20 km s$^{-1}$ cloud (LOS$-$0.11) in the Sgr A region, another LOS is toward the 50 km s$^{-1}$ cloud (LOS$-$0.02), also in Sgr A, while the third is toward the Sgr B2 cloud (LOS+0.693). The emission from the ionised gas is detected from H$nα$ and H$mβ$ radio recombination lines (RRLs). He$nα$ and He$mβ$ RRL emission is detected with the same $n$ and $m$ as those from the hydrogen RRLs only toward LOS+0.693. RRLs probe gas with positive and negative …
We present high-pass filtered NACO and SINFONI images of the newly discovered stars S4711-S4715 between 2004 and 2016. Our deep H+K-band (SINFONI) and K-band (NACO) data show the S-cluster star S4711 on a highly eccentric trajectory around Sgr~A* with an orbital period of 7.6 years and a periapse distance of 144 AU to the super massive black hole (SMBH). S4711 is hereby the star with the shortest orbital period and the smallest mean distance to the SMBH during its orbit to date. The used high-pass filtered images are based on co-added data sets to improve the signal to noise. The spectroscopic…
The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) will soon provide the first high-resolution images of the Galactic Centre supermassive black hole (SMBH) candidate Sagittarius A* (Sgr A*), enabling us to probe gravity in the strong-field regime. Besides studying the accretion process in extreme environments, the obtained data and reconstructed images could be used to investigate the underlying spacetime structure. In its current configuration, the EHT is able to distinguish between a rotating Kerr black hole and a horizon-less object like a boson star. Future developments can increase the ability of the EHT …
An unusual object, G2, had its pericenter passage around Sgr A*, the $4\times10^6$ M$_\odot$ supermassive black hole in the Galactic Centre, in Summer 2014. Several research teams have reported evidence that following G2's pericenter encounter the rate of Sgr A*'s bright X-ray flares increased significantly. Our analysis carefully treats varying flux contamination from a nearby magnetic neutron star and is free from complications induced by using data from multiple X-ray observatories with different spatial resolutions. We test the scenario of an increased bright X-ray flaring rate using a mas…
We trace several dusty infrared sources on their orbit around the supermassive black hole (SMBH) SgrA* in the center of our galaxy. We give an overview of known and unknown sources in the direct vicinity of our SMBH in a radius of around 0.04pc. For that, we are using NACO (K- and L'-band) and SINFONI (H+K-band) data (VLT, Chile/Paranal) between 2002 and 2018. Our spectroscopic analysis reveals a Doppler-shifted line emission of Br_gamma and HeI. Additionally, we report the detection of [FeIII] lines that are found exclusively in the investigated dusty sources west of SgrA*. We speculate, that…
In this paper, we investigate the effects of a dark matter (DM) spike on the neighborhood of Sgr A*, the black hole (BH) in the center of the Milky Way galaxy. Our main goal is to investigate whether current and future astronomical observations of Sgr A* could detect the presence of such a DM spike. At first, we construct the spacetime metric around a static and spherically symmetric BH with a DM spike, and later this solution is generalized for a rotating BH using the Newman-Janis-Azreg Aïnou algorithm. For the static BH metric, we use the data of the S2 star orbiting the Sgr A* to determine …
Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array (ALMA) is promising to be a powerful tool for precision astrometry of the area around Sagittarius A$^\ast$ (Sgr A$^\ast$) because it has the high angular resolution, high sensitivity, and wide field of view. We have observed the area including the Nuclear Star Cluster at 230 GHz with ALMA in October 2017. The angular resolution is ~0.03". We determined the relative positions to Sgr A$^\ast$ of 65 compact objects in the area with the accuracy of 0.001". We also analyzed the similar ALMA archival data obtained in June 2019 and determined the 64 relati…
The chemical differentiation of seven COMs in the extended region around Sgr B2 has been observed: CH$_2$OHCHO, CH$_3$OCHO, t-HCOOH, C$_2$H$_5$OH, and CH$_3$NH$_2$ were detected both in the extended region and near the hot cores Sgr B2(N) and Sgr B2(M), while CH$_3$OCH$_3$ and C$_2$H$_5$CN were only detected near the hot cores. The density and temperature in the extended region are relatively low. Different desorption mechanisms have been proposed to explain the observed COMs in cold regions but fail to explain the deficiency of CH$_3$OCH$_3$ and C$_2$H$_5$CN. We explored under what physical c…
The Galactic Center IRS 13E cluster is a very intriguing IR object located at $\sim0.13$ pc from Sagittarius A$^\ast$ (Sgr A$^\ast$) in projection distance. There are both arguments for and against the hypothesis that a dark mass like an intermediate mass black hole (IMBH) exists in the cluster. Recently we have detected the rotating ionized gas ring around IRS 13E3, which belongs to the cluster, in the H30$α$ recombination line using ALMA. The enclosed mass is derived to be $M_{\mathrm{encl.}}\simeq2\times10^4$ $M_\odot$, which agrees with an IMBH and is barely less than the astrometric upper…
HOCN and HNCO abundance ratio in molecular gas can tell us the information of their formation mechanism. We performed high-sensitivity mapping observations of HOCN, HNCO, and HNC$^{18}$O lines around Sagittarius B2 (Sgr B2) with IRAM 30m telescope at 3-mm wavelength. HNCO 4$_{04}$-3$_{03}$ and HOCN 4$_{04}$-3$_{03}$ are used to obtain the abundance ratio of HNCO to HOCN. The ratio of HNCO 4$_{04}$-3$_{03}$ to HNC$^{18}$O 4$_{04}$-3$_{03}$ is used to calculate the optical depth of HNCO 4$_{04}$-3$_{03}$. The abundance ratio of HOCN and HNCO is observed to range from 0.4% to 0.7% toward most pos…
We report sub-arcsecond ALMA observations between 272 - 375 GHz towards Sgr A*'s Circumnuclear disk (CND). Our data comprises 8 individual pointings, with significant SiO (8(7) - 7(6)) and SO (7 - 6) emission detected towards 98 positions within these pointings. Additionally, we identify H2CS (9(1,9) - 8(1,8)), OCS (25 - 24) and CH3OH (2(1,1) - 2(0,2)) towards a smaller subset of positions. By using the observed peak line flux density together with a Bayesian Inference technique informed by radiative transfer models, we systematically recover the physical gas conditions towards each of these p…
Because of its particular orientation around the Galaxy - i.e., in a plane nearly perpendicular to the Galactic plane and containing both the Sun and Galactic center - the Sagittarius (Sgr) stream provides a powerful means by which to measure the solar reflex velocity, and thereby infer the velocity of the Local Standard of Rest (LSR), in a way that is independent of assumptions about the solar Galactocentric distance. Moreover, the solar reflex velocity with respect to the stream is projected almost entirely into the proper motion component of Sgr stream stars perpendicular to the Sgr plane, …
We performed high-sensitivity mapping observations of several complex organic molecules around Sagittarius B2 with ARO 12m telescope at 3-mm wavelength. Based on their spatial distribution, molecules can be classified as either "extended" that detected not only in Sgr B2(N) and Sgr B2(M), or "compact" that only detected toward or near to Sgr B2(N) and Sgr B2(M). The "extended" molecules including glycolaldehyde (CH2OHCHO), methyl formate (CH3OCHO), formic acid (t-HCOOH), ethanol (C2H5OH) and methyl amine (CH3NH2), while the "compact" molecules including dimethyl ether (CH3OCH3), ethyl cyanide …
After becoming ionized, low-density astrophysical plasmas will begin a process of slow recombination. Models for this still have significant uncertainties. The recombination cannot normally be observed in isolation, because the ionization follows the evolutionary time scale of the ionizing source. Laboratory experiments are unable to reach the appropriate conditions because of the required very long time scales. The extended nebula around the very late helium flash (VLTP) star V4334 Sgr provides a unique laboratory for this kind of study. The sudden loss of the ionizing UV radiation after the …
We present an analysis of the evolution of circumstellar dust and molecules in the environment of the very late thermal pulse object V4334 Sgr (Sakurai's Object) over a $\sim20$-year period, drawing on ground-, airborne- and space-based infrared photometry and spectroscopy. The dust emission, which started in 1997, resembles a blackbody that cooled from $\sim1200$K in 1998 August to $\sim180$K in 2016 July. The dust mass, assuming amorphous carbon, was $\sim5\times10^{-10}$M$_\odot$ in 1998 August, and we estimate that the total dust mass was $\sim2\times10^{-5}$M$_\odot$ by $\sim2016$. The ap…
Our Galaxy hosts a very massive object at its centre, often referred to as the supermassive black hole Sgr A*. Its gravitational tidal field is so intense that can strip apart a binary star passing its vicinity and accelerate one of the components of the binary as hypervelocity star (HVS) and grab the other star as S-star. Taken into consideration that many binary star systems are known to host planets, in this paper we aim to broaden the study of the close interaction of binary stars and their planetary systems with Sgr A* massive object. Results are obtained via a high precision $N-$body cod…
We present 1"-resolution ALMA observations of the circumnuclear disk (CND) and the environment around SgrA*. The images unveil the presence of small spatial scale CO (J=3-2) molecular "cloudlets" within the central pc of the Milky Way, moving at high speeds, up to 300 km/s along the line-of-sight. The CO-emitting structures show intricate morphologies: extended and filamentary at high negative-velocities (v_LSR < -150 km/s), more localized and clumpy at extreme positive-velocities (v_LSR > +200 km/s). Based on the pencil-beam CO absorption spectrum toward SgrA* synchrotron emission, we also pr…
A dynamically relaxed dense cluster comprised of about 40 stars (the so-called S-stars) inhabits the central region of the Galaxy. Their stars revolve around the Sgr A$^*$ massive object. To understand the dynamical evolution of planetary systems in a particular environment like that around Sgr A$^*$, we carry out direct N--body simulations of planetary systems embedded in the S--star cluster. In this work, we investigate the short-term stability of the planets orbiting around S-stars after their close interactions with the central massive black hole of our galaxy. We find that planetary syste…
